Logs
We found it. The GPS bounced everywhere but where it was. but used a little intuition. Will need a new logbook.Tftc
This was quite an extensive picnic area with timeless structures that have fared well, but obviously its popularity has waned. The GPSr had us some distance away today, but after eliminating possibilities according to the hint we settled on one place but still took a few minutes to locate the cache.Sadly our last day in Orange before moving further north to chase some warmth. We headed out on the scenic route to Lake Canobalas and Mount Canobalas in a loop that took us through some lovely undulating countryside with a mixture of agriculture and vineyards. Plenty of sun, but windy and cold when we visited the lookouts.A lovely day nonetheless.Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache Smelly Boot.**SKI Pair****
Despite a thorough search and reading through previous logs, unfortunately too good for us today.
We had a good look here but no sign of a cache. Followed all the logs and hint to a very likely spot but nothing in place. Did we really miss it or is this one really missing. ???
Unfortunately it wasnt our day to come up with a find. We balanced on the wobbly table and put our hands in all sorts of naughty places, but after 15 minutes about 3 council trucks turned up for smoko and the hint was called off. Thanks anyway

Headed out the road with the family today, and we stopped by this area to have a short look around. What a beautiful spot. We grabbed the cache while we were here, and then continued on our way. Watch that table.

#552. Saw where this could be after reading past comments as the coords we’re a bit off. I saw a glimpse of it and then got meals 5 to retrieve. TFTC!
Camping at the Showgrounds.
This morning we wanted to visit Mount Canobolas so we targeted the caches on the way there & back .
This was a good way to tour the area.
The picnic area is closed at the moment, we by passed the barrier to locate the cache.
Thankyou Smelly Boot for placing this cache.

Thanks for a stop between wine tastings while in Orange. A good little hiding spot. Subtle and caution with the wobbly step.
Tricky indeed! Fell off the seesaw but saved my phone! On way to Mt Canobolus after orienteering in Orange
After completing the Orange Park Run, breakfast and another cache or two, were doing some more exploring of the area. Pity there was no signage about the stone buildings.
GPS was bouncing around a bit but cache soon found.

Tftc smelly boot, was expecting to be groping around here for a while. Instead quick easy find
Great hide. GPS is off but went to the right spot first go. Definitely becare of the see-saw.
An obvious second choice for the day after the Pinnacle geocache. GPS all over the place but reading the comments from others who had found it previously got us looking in the right place pretty quickly. Would be a great spot for a picnic! TFTC
We stopped off on the way to the summit and we took the opportunity to grab this one. Nice spot.
Good one, thanks Smelly Boot.

I hadn't intended to even drive this way today but I am so glad that I did. This cache is in a beautiful area. I am surprised that it doesn't have more visitors. Once here I checked and suprise, there's a cache here. I wasn't confident that I would find it, but I am so glad that I have. Log now carries my name. TFTC Smelly Boot. A FP for the location.
GPS was a tad out but we hunted around what we thought was the obvious spot. Took a while but was finally found by ‘D’. Good little hide. Added a new page to the log as it was full & signed it. TNLN Thanks for this cache.
Nice spot here but needs a good tidy up. Great cache, thanks for bringing us here! : )
Christmas duties were over so I thought I would head up yo Mount Canobolas to look for a few butterflies. But first time for a few caches as well.
The so-called rarely used picnic areas at the base of Mt Canobolas were being used today. The disabled Williams had one car both times I went to look. I followed a car into the car park here and they then just sat in the car. I had a quick look but felt very exposed. So climbed Towac Pinnacle and on return park was empty.
Went to GZ and was prepared for a systematic search and felt the cache in the first nook I probed. Signed log and was on my way - last one for today - TFTC

Dan with his go-go gatchet arms did a stack of geogroping. Then Sue saw something and Dan retrieved it. The usual South African team work, apart-height. TFTC

A bit of short drive out of town, and more or less the end of the road for now, local traffic only. GZ was initially a bit out so started climbing a tree and then later thought another place was a more likely a spot about 10m away and after some probing up a bit got it.. phew.. interesting container.. but all good
thanks for the cache nice to visit this area again
thanks Smelly Boot

Wow that one had us looking everywhere before finally finding it in the first place we looked!
That was a good one thank you

My mum and I found this cache while on our way back to Canberra - I was on my learners and had driven all the way from Canberra to Port Lincoln and back! A great road trip to improve my driving skills and experience.
Found this one while on our way up Mt Canobolas. Quick find, nice hide. TFTC.

Quickly located, plenty of bird life here. Love these buildings. This would make a great place for anevent. TFTC
This was my first ever geocache found in the snow. Nicely protected and hidden. TFTC Smelly Boot
Whoohoo found it and unloved as well but only by a couple of days. Finding it was easy as could be seen from the ground. Retrieving it was difficult due to ?????

A picnic spot with a cache is always a good reason to stop for lunch - even better when the cache is found. TFTC.
not found today – gave it a good search but these 1’s in this structure is usually a big miss affair. Anyway a nice picnic area.
We where on our way to Mt C and this was looked close for a quick grab. We headed to a likely spot and the GPSr had us out in the open so it did not feel right so a check of previous logs confirmed our geo sense to look nearby and then with careful footing we made the find. We completed the signing duties and re hid. TFTC

A bit more time to go a little further today so this was it.
Gps had me wandering a fair way off so I decided to do a hunt on my own. Found what would be the second wobbly step mentioned in a log and soon had the cache in hand. Day #111 straight a nice round number. What to do.
Thanks for bringing me here a new spot for me.

Nice one again Smelly Boot. I'm always left chuckling at your cache containers!! TFTC. Watch your step!!
A lovely area on this cool wet day, very quiet. My GPS took me to a point about 5m from the cache, the hint had me heading in the right direction and found the cache in just 30 seconds. TFTC
Took a decent amount of time gps slightly off but as you approach from car park it's your first thought. Watch out for the see saw! Paper is also becoming a bit moist
6721 + 838 = 7559. Found during a great weekend caching in the Bathurst region with Sol de Lune.
Heading out of Orange now. A quick park and walked in - nicely found in the first place we looked - just watch that step !!! Signed and then we were off to the next one.
Thanks again Smelly Boot - a really nice area - A Favourite Point for the Cache and the Reserve !!
TNLN - TFTC !!

Haven't been up this mountain before, so we headed out this way and this was our first port of call. Cache was found easy enough, but watch that second step.....the bugger moves.
Looks like a neat area, would imagine it gets a lot of use in the warmer months....
Thanks for showing us the area Smelly Boot.

Got to this gz and yes have to agree the coordinates are alittle off tho using cache sense and the hint made a quick easy find. Lovely little picnic ground TFTC
As the co-ords were so far out I had given up but the geowife said she will have a look. She read the clue and went straight to it.

Easy Find once the GPS settled down under the treeshttp://www.geocaching.com/images/icons/icon_smile.gif
The area was totally deserted early this morning
Which made for a nice easy cache chase.
Oddly enough I found this one in the first place I poked [:o]
Must be my lucky day
A wander around the park after the cache find made me realise why this spot is not so popular these days.
One of the sheds has an alcove that may have been a wood store once upon a time, but in this day and age where few people give a damn, it has turned into a smelly cess pit [xx(]
No one is going to use that shelter for a picinic
At least where the cache was hidden was in relatively good shape.
Just don't climb on the table !

Had a good time looking for this one, GPS coordinates are off but still in the area, Took a bit to find looked in that area 2 or 3 times before I got it, also fell for the mints eclipse container which is not it. Tftc
Tricky! This one took a long time even with 5 people searching. What a great place for a picninc - thanks.
We thoguht we knew where it should be but it still took some finding. Thanks Smelly Boot.
What a great little picnic spot!
This had us puzzled for a while, because 4 GPS's were taking us all over the shop, but one of our number eventually was able to feel it.

GPS readings varied but eventually we followed our instincts and the clues and eventually found it. What a lovely picnic spot. It would be interesting to know what it was - who or what went in the lockable room? TFTC
Like many before us our GPS had us at the BBQ. Having read previous logs (and thinking about the most likely hiding spot) we were off...
A quick find made by Mrs Whit (just tall enough to spot) and thanks to Mr Whit for retrieval.
SLTNLN TFTC (but it was not an Eclipse mint tin as previous log suggests )

We Think !!
It is an Eclipse Mints tin !
Though it had no identification to confirm our discovery.
Fourth time lucky !!

Big black spider near it. Yuck. Bit of a wobble to find it. Took the father in law for his first cache
We looked where GPS took us, in the trees way off, then found where cache probably is but bit high for us geooldies who are a bit on the short side.
Found it No. 4319 ... went to straight where I thought it would be ... TNLN ... TFTC Smelly Boot
