After two DNF's, my third visit here resulted in a smilie!
After my last DNF, a bit of thought and I had a pretty good idea where I might find the cache. I had previously rejected this option as it both didn't match the terrain rating and possibly may be illegal. Realising that the area near GZ has changed since the cache was placed explained the terrain rating thing. The other bit I would chance and plead ignorance if collared.
So, today, I parked over at Meadowland Rd and walked through the tunnel. At least this way, there would be no number plates getting recorded by the nosy neighbours over the road. At GZ, I conquered a brief bit of terrain 3 and was soon at GZ.
A few obvious spots were searched, when a couple of lonely neurons in my thick skull registered that "one of those things is not like the other". Woohoo ! *Happy Dance* Another nemesis cache bites the dust.
What's this! A decoy?!? Nasty Mr Geckomaster! Never mind, the real one of those that isn't like the other was soon found. Logbook is full but I found a small spot to scribble some initials.
On the way out, I was just about to tackle the terrain 3 bit when a dog bark close by from the tunnel sent me scurrying away for cover. The perceptive dog certainly knew of my presence, but the owner was blissfully unaware. Once they were gone, I made a quick escape.
Thanks for the cache GM62. A beauty, and one I am glad to have on my found list. A crooked favourite point coming your way.

Coming back in daylight. Think we found the spot but not100% as no log or cache but fit the description. I'll be back!
Arrrhh alas! Second visit here but different tactics. Got to risk it to get the biscuit. Agility needed.
Found with Toozey Bit worried about the route but too late to turn back.
Well one thing leafs to another and it did here for sure. although the log book is now unusable and I didn't a small spare log.
Photo taken as proof.
Well, it's back the way we came to see if we have anyone waiting to say "hello, hello, hello"

This was a fantastic cache! We were lead astray by one of things that didn't look like the others. Also thanks for Ms Maddy for her help.
This cache was definitely my fav for today. Favourite point added!

Genyo and I were a bit unsure about going for this after all the DNFs but we gave it a crack. After a little jump and a wander we were at GZ. I quite enjoyed the hunt for this cache, it was quite memorable when I thought I had it but was mistaken haha.

This was so hard to find but thanks to a geocachers Dad biking pass there was a hint offered.... Such a good cache. Loved the adventure finding it. Log is full so took a photo instead.
26/7/14 back with geofamily and geodog for another look. Still no luck. Can't seem to get close enough. Spoke with a friend who has previously located this cache. Appears that a fence and locked gate now prohibit access to GZ. Have emailed Geckomaster62.
Scouted this out on morning walk with geodog. Hoping to find it to then come back with geokids to point them in the right direction for a motivational find. Looked everywhere and was sure I had it figured out. Is this cache still intact? I note it hasn't been found for some months. ??
Back for another crack at this one with my 7 year old son, Tom (caching alias TCC).
After 10 minutes at GZ, TCC lost interest (as only 7 year old can). I continued to search, changing my thoughts on the nature of the hide slightly. But no cache!
On reflection, as I write this log, I am now wondering if I was in the right location. Is it possible to get to the other side?! Are they all like the others over there?
Another classic gecko caching dilemna! Am looking forward to finding this one.

I just love that Fooies song. I might have even been singing whilst I searched. No sign of any pretender here today (except me and my singing!).
On reading logs, I am no wiser, but think perhaps, I was searching the wrong spot. I am not even certain what the right spot is, except that it will be the spot where one of these things is not like the other.
Thanks geckomaster62. I will be back.

This one had us stumped at first so PAF and the problem was solved. Later read through previous logs and most likely would have found it from them eventually. This was another clever hide. Not enough log to write on but took photos to show we were there. Will now both carry small log in bag in case any need replacing in future. TFTC
!!!!!!tftc!!!!!! Yet another very well made hide this would have taken awhile to create .
What about that other song "Always look on the bright side of life"? It's sort of appropriate here nearly half the time anyway. We agree with most of the other logs, it's a good cache, and I love a good decoy too. Thanks for the smiley
With the help of Doully and Aussie Pete was led to the vicinity, endorse logs of others a brilliant hide.
Hmmm - we gave it a crack for 30 minutes or so, but no luck for us. We will have to go away and think about it again!...
DNF for us today - we looked and looked and looked some more but it just wasn't meant to be. Maybe next time.
Thanks anyway GM62.
Thanks anyway GM62.

This is one that had been sitting on my map for some time, and I just had not got close enough to take a crack.
Well today after getting something else rather close by, I thought I would take a look. I had just arrived and parked when I got a call from another Cacher. A short chat while I started considering my options, and loosly playing with some options.
Anyway a mention that this was where I was to my friend on the phone and something was mentioned, which resulted in some cursing of GM62. Alas I followed this not happy at all with the way I needed to retrieve this. Thankfully it was a quick and uneventful retrieval after this.

Done. So much easier in daylight...
This one was another fun installation, brought a smile, for sure.
The access to the hide has an interim elevation in terrain rating as some tree trimming has taken place near the GZ.
Took a little while to fish out the log sheet. There's room for another 3-5 names on the spare sheet, and the original sheet is full.
Thanks, geckomaster62!

Didn't get it first time then studied reports from the others and realised where we were going wrong. Pretty quick find after that. Very novel. Good effort!
I attempted this cache but unfortunately, I wasn't able to find this cache before I needed to be elsewhere.

Found the cache, but forgot to take a pen. I took a photo of the log instead. Really like these ingenious caches.
Out for a day of caching with IolantheK.
Pulled up at this one and Heather had been here before. Search and search without luck before it was suggested we try something different.
Well there you go, this looks promising. Once there the prize was quickly located and our names were added to the logbook.
Another great hide as I have come to expect from the CO, and of course another favourite

Out and about with fasted59 today I've been here before with no luck, and today I did exactly the same as last time with still no luck What am I doing wrong[?][?][?] Ohhh, maybe... umm, how about we do this... well there you go! A cache! Very clever hide, as we've come to expect from a GM62 cache [^] TFTC, geckomaster62.
Very interesting, challenging and fun find. Once I found the decoy it all made sense. All in good condition.
A quick drive by to see if I can find it ... love a good camo. Kinda got the idea what to look for when I got to the GZ, but still took a minute to isolate the exact area. A quick find once the location was determined. TFTC.
Finally, on the third visit, I finally got the goods. After finding the correct GZ, I found the cache in seconds. TFTC GM62
Stopped off here with Minnie Piglet on the way home. We searched GZ but couldn't spot anything different nor in any hidey hole so used a PAF. We were close, but going at it the wrong way. We changed our approach, walked through and made the find. TFTC Geckomaster62. This is truly your style. Another favourite point from us.
Logging this a little late. Found with gummy dales, coopin8or, trenton8or and lego51 back on 11/4. Definitely giving a favourite point to this one as it is one of the cleverist hides I have seen.

Excellent hide, a little overgrown but well worth the find once you navigate through terrain
I think this is my third time visiting this cache.
A bit overgrown at the moment but you can still get to GZ.
A couple of decoys later and I had the logbook in hand.
Thanks for the cache. A fav point.

Didn't find it. Found alot of differences and even suspicious writing on one of the metal beams, but no cache.
After being muggled at another site I picked the next closest cache and keyed it into the GPS.
I had a bit of a look but couldn't get where the device was asking or could I.
In no time at all I had the cache, or did I
I should have read the cache owner. I guessed what I was looking for but where was it.
I spread out the search area and all became apparent.
Another favorite for the geckomaster(62)

After a previous failed attempt on this one quite some time ago I thought it would a long time before I came back...and it was.
Sometime after that attempt I got told a little hint that would make a lot of difference in the search.
I would love to tell the story but that would give too much away.
I'll be back....again.

Hilarious... Thx again for the entertainment geckomaster62 [P]
I also took the long route with the billy goats gruff and found myself with a gpsr pointing at, well, nothing really that I could see. But it's a gecko master I thought... He's tricky with this stuff
Peered more closely! Backed away and had another crack at it! My gpsr was persistent... 'Its right there you silly wench!'
Poked and peered and turned in circles... AAAARGH!!!
Then a couple of neurons collided upstairs and I realised that it was indeed THERE
Only not HERE but THERE!
Spotted it in a nanosecond once in the right spot and wondered what this cache started life as? Left a wee ladybug for the next person you catch with this clever hide... And will be back to add a fave point when I get another to give.
TFTC GM62
ps: Chances of this getting muggled are zero to none.

On a bike ride around the burbs this morning I was making a beeline between caches from Hemmant to Carindale
The Goatway crossing here is a very convenient way to safely cross under the traffic chaos [^]
As always the cache symbol for this 'other' thing was showing up on the GPS as I closed in on the tunnel.
"Ignore it" my good geocaching angel was saying over my right shoulder
"You know you want it" whispered my bad geocaching angel over my left
I headed into the Goatway underworld...
.... my evil angel seemed to gain some extra persuasive power down here and I soon stopped the push bike and headed back up to the light.
So it couldn't hurt to have another look.
I nervously stuck me nose around the corner.
Keeping low and close I made my way to GZ.
Thankfully there is a good bit of cover here now to sneak around in
And I had worn me best camo clothing too
I kept still and looked around for any sign of a cache.
After so many sleepless nights thinking about this cache I had formed an idea of just what I might be looking for.
Turns out I was right
Still took me ages to actually spot the thing that is not like the other
[red]Bl**%y Decoy !! Aaaaarrgggh !! [/red]
Now I knew exactly what I was looking for and it still took five more minutes before I spotted the real cache [:o)]
Ah geckomaster62.... yer got me again

Needed a bit of help to be put on the right path to find this great wee hide. Well done geckomaster62.
Always wondered what people were doing on the edge as I drove past... Delightfully tricky hide
I have been to this one before without luck. After this cache came up in conversation with TriBre who had found it recently, he passed on the same hint that the cache owner had given him.
I then knew that I was looking in the wrong place.
Once at the correct GZ, it was a case of finding the one that is not like the others. Great cache Geckomaster.

I would have to say this cache has educated me in one thing and that is to be patient. I have returned to GZ about 5 times, to search a little bit more each time. I eventually contacted the CO, with my ideas hoping for a hint or guidance. The settle hint that was supplied, was enough for me know where I was going wrong, however I was now apprehensive to venture to GZ incase I was right! This had become my Nemesis cache and I just did not want to defeat it. It was my wailing wall, my sounding board after a hard day at work!
I believe this cache is worthy of Favourite point. This one is really not like the other at all! Thanks for another great, exceptional Cache. I will not be forgetting this one in a hurry.
Great Job Geckomaster62!

First found the reals cache than the decoy! Great spot awesome hide. Love your work!! Fav point !!!
Found both of them. First the real one and on the walk out the decoy. Love your work well done.
Cache had been converted into a home for ants, but we managed to clear most of them and sign the log. TFTC
Hi All Sorry for the late reply on this one , but I have been out of the country and not in caching mode. I am pleased to advise the cache is safe and sound , and ready to be found!!!. It was getting dark!
we starting on dusk!
Not enough light to see by!

Up in Brisbane for the weekend - birthday treat including Reds vs Rebels - Reds were lucky... Thought we would introduce our Brisbane friends, T&L, to caching. Chose a tough one, here - searched quite awhile - we were all intrigued but went away still puzzling about it, then had to go catch the plane home. But we have an idea.... will have to come back again sometime to test it out. Thanks for the challenge, gechomaster62!
I arrived at this one, with an idea in my head that just did not pan out. Spent another 20 min having a good look around.
Have log this DNF to show my respect to the Cache Owner.

DNF from us today. They all looked the same that we were looking at. Maybe next time.
Ahhhhhh.... That's where it is. I note lots of favourites on this one. Well done geckomaster62, nice cache. TFTC. SL.
Finally got it on the 2nd attempt! GPS was helping and needed a quick reset before it led me to roughly the correct spot! Awesome hide! TFTC. SL
Went looking for this one today. no luck whatsoever! hmmm ... i think i'll need to come back and give it a more thorough canvas!
After finding another Geckomaster cache earlier in the day with remarkable ease, I returned to this one for the 2nd time thinking I had the caching gods on my side. This one has been bugging me for a while and I had even googled what I suspected this could be. So returning with what I was sure this was going to be in mind, I searched high and low for 20 mins.... almost time to give up again!!
Then something made me look a different tactic and low and behold I found it!! It was all back to front and certainly not what I was expecting.
Great cache, thanks Geckomaster.
I'm off to find another one of yours that has me all twisted up now.

Never ashamed to record a DNF...we searched for a while but then it began to rain so we fled back tnrough the tunnel. Thinking more about it now, I suspect I know where we went wrong! Not sure when we'll be back, but I'm looking forward to it already. Thanks as always A & E.
This is a tough one! Searched by myself first, then went back with 2 extra pairs of eyes, but still the little bugger escapes us!!
This was a fun one indeed. We took the walk from Meadowlands and under the motorway. When we arrived at what we thought was GZ we thought it would be easy. Then we figured GZ was close but not where we were we headed to the actual GZ. When we arrived we had geokids play " which one is not like the other" took them a little while but they finally saw it. Or did they?

Nice hide... made us laugh for quite sometime.... but no fear the cache was in hand soon enough. TFTC!
After a previous attempt we came back today for another look.
It didn't feel right as we headed for GZ, Surely some-one would notice us and want to know what we were doing!
Maybe we could have parked a lot closer. We could have even phoned a friend.
We stood back, took the dummy before finally coming up with the goods.
Interesting location. TFTC GM62

What better day to revisit a Geckomaster cache than April Fool's Day. Well now that I have found it, I certainly feel like a bit of a fool. What a great hide. It is very simple once you figure it out. TFTC. Still grinning about it an hour later
