Maybe this should just go to caching heaven [8)]

04-Sep-14
This cache needs to be checked out. As previous cachers have mentioned the "cupboard is bare"
We are also sceptical that Little Ravens on 8 July actually found it

20-Aug-14
Found g z but there is no cache there can see where it was put but it may have muggled. TFTH this cache may need owner intervention

20-Aug-14
As others have said, the obvious location is empty and a hunt around the area found nothing. Either it has been muggled or seriously misplaced.

10-Jul-14
Did I look in the right place? Found two days ago but all I found was a nice little rocky hideyhole.

09-Jul-14
Nice cache container on our stop for breakfast. En route to mutwindji.

05-Jul-14
I found where an ammo can would fit perfectly between some rocks but no cache when i was here. will have another look when i come back though in a week or so.

[font=Comic Sans MS]Hi there Lostmonster & Co. We found your cache "The Long Paddock No.3 - Wilcannia" at 1:50:00 PM today.
This was our 3rd cache find in a caching run of 5 Finds & 1 DNFs today. (So this now makes our find count 8972.)
[Blue]
Thanks for not placing an eclipse tin or a 200ml Sistema here. For over ten years we have watched the quality of caches get steadily worse and worse. Once upon a time caches seemed to be "regular" sized, and well stocked with goodies for kids to swap. Nowadays it seems like every other cache is small and devoid anything to induce children to enjoy the hunt. It made us feel really good to find this cache in a "special" place.
[/Blue]
Coordinate Accuracy: Excellent. (We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.)
Cache Condition: Container and log book are in good shape.
Took: Nothing.
Left: Smiley Badge
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

A trip from Menindee to Cobar yielded a couple of smilies. These rest stop caches are great to break the boredom of following the white line. Stopped here to grab a bite of lunch before walking to the cache. The Aussie wave was in full swing in a vain attempt to chase the little black devils.
Thanks Lostmonster & Co

About 37 years ago while passing through Wilcannia on a very hot day we ended up under the shady trees where the aboriginal kids were jumping into the river and went to sleep on the grass. A few hours later we were refreshed for the rest of the trip to Adelaide. TFTC Lostmoster & Co.

Todays drive was from Broken Hill to Cobar. The trip took longer than expected as we stopped to cache along the way.
The caches we found were interesting & varied.

Having survived a lunchtime stop at Wilcannia, we found this large geocache on the way out of town. Impressive location in the middle of nowhere. Very dusty though.

A quick find, nice to see such a container, some earth and scrub works have been done here recently, the cache is lucky to have survived I think.

Today was the third day of my holiday, heading from Broken Hill to Cobar, ultimately heading to Port Macquarie. I tried for everything that was on my route. I'd never heard of a stock route being called a Long Paddock, so this was an eye opener for me. Found the cache without any problems.

My thanks to Lostmonster & Co for the cache.

Heading out west with youngest son Jeremy, a quick stop here to stretch the legs and find the cache. The history on the signs was interesting, though sobering; it's an easy drive these days, but people used to walk out here.
TNLNSL, thanks for the cache Lostmonster & Co!

South Australia 2013 with Sol de Lune. We headed off on 12/4 and arrived home on 28/4. The trip was to visit the SA series so more time could be spent at the Mega itself next year. We did a huge variety of caching around Murray Bridge, the Mid North, Yorke Peninsula and Whyalla Region. Apart from one wet night and two wet days we were able to spend heaps of time caching.

Today is really all about heading home, we traveled from Peterborough to Cobar doing what caches we could as we went. Everyone has done a great job of placing a great variety of caches and we had a great day.

Thanks.

Grabbed with Albida on our 2 week caching run from Canberra to, and around, different parts of South Australia including Loxton, Murray Bridge, Tailem Bend, Yorke Peninsula and around to Whyalla before heading home via Broken Hill, Cobar and Parkes. We completed a few power trails and left a couple to do when in the area again for next years Mega event.

Overall a great many different styles and types of caches found. A great time was had caching for 16 days straight as well as camping along the way.

Thanks for adding to the fun with this cache.

* Super Long Aussie Road Trip Cache #15 *

I am on my longest road trip yet in my darling Echo Sportivo with my bro, travelling from the Sunshine Coast to Charleville, Cunnamulla, Broken Hill, Adelaide, Mt Eccles NP, Geelong, Portalington, Melbourne, Canberra, Sydney, Brissy and home.

This is also my first experience of the Aussie outback. About time!

This may be my first non farmer--brown cache of the day, hehe.

It's great to see a cache like this with such interesting insight on the area. I've enjoyed my long road trip so far (as has my brother who is with me) and a part of me would just love to live out here... for a little while at least. TFTC Lostmonster & Co Smile

Here from Canada, doing a bit of caching as we explore Australia....

It was getting late in the evening and we needed a place to park our home on wheels for the night. After we found the cache we decided this looked like a fine spot as it got us well away from the noise of the highway. We noticed a few clouds off in the distance and even remarked wouldn't it be a nice reprieve if we were to get a bit of rain. Well in the night rain it did. We got a good soaking! It was still coming down hard when we awoke in the morning and to our dismay we found we had parked on red dirt that when wet turns to red slimy goo worse than any quick sand you can imagine. Boy were we in trouble....our wheels were spinning and we weren't going anywhere!! Luckily there was gravel not too far away and we were able to use a few buckets of it to get ourselves free. After an hour or so of nasty, muddy wet work we were out! We will definitely be more careful in the future where we park.

Thanks for a very memorable hide Lostmonster & Co!

Found on a family road trip to Broken Hill and back to home in the Blue Mountains

30-Nov-12
This was found on our return trip from Broken Hill. We'd spent the last two weeks travelling to Tasmania and to Broken Hill (odd combination, I know) and of all the caches we found on our trips, this was the first ammo can. We pulled off the highway and walked through the scrub for one of the easiest finds ever. Thanks for this distraction on a long and tiring trip.

30-Nov-12
#1623- The highlight of finding this one was that it was our first ammo tin we'd found while spending a week in Tasmania and a few days out here, So it was a welcome find. So many of the regulars are smalls and so many of the smalls are micros- maybe we just do things bigger in the Blue Mountains. But thanks again, a cache within a cache is a rare find too!

Found on the great Eclipse Trip of 2012 with Freddo.

A solid day driving between Broken Hill and Warren saw us stretch the legs, check choppers on sticks and beaut scenery. Awesome stuff. Nice to see an ammo can in the bush.

After doing the fireworks for the Brokenhill show with Dr Who 2 we were headed off to Wagga Wagga to do the show there and decided to take a different route this year. We pulled up here as another car left and read the interesting information here. it would have been a hard way to make a living by today's standards. We headed off toward GZ and it did not take long to realize the plants had very sharp prickles on them. We worked our way to GZ and were happy to make a quick find and add our names to the log. We then took your advice and went for a driving tour of Wilcannia and its great buildings.
Thanks Lostmonster & Co for the cache and info on the page.

We came back 6yrs ago via Innaminka and White Cliffs and Mad Jock, one of the funniest blokes I.ve ever met. A couple yrs later brought my son back from the Simpson via Mad Jocks just so he could meet him. He rekoned I was mad to go that far out of our way that is till he met him and his 'TOUR'.
