One had a man look and couldn't find it. The other, had a proper look and found it straight away, go figure. Cheers
Road tripping for the summer holidays. Rainy, drippy day... No one about. T.F.T.F
Heading home after a great outdoor weeks holiday in Turangi. Quick stop here as the title suggests. The neighbouring dog wasnt delighted to see us though and was rather vocal about it!! TFTC
I'm back in New Zealand for the first time in four and a half years to visit family and catch up with friends. Have been down in the manawatu for the past few days to do a few things but its time to head north again, but there's time for a couple of caches as i drive north. Having to take the Western route around lake taupo as state highway 1 is closed south of tokoroa. I haven't driven this road before so I'm happy for the new route. A quick find here. Tftc
When I first started geocaching many years ago I had a tradition of going out and grabbing a few caches on or around my birthday. Several years have gone by since I have done that traditional, so this year I have started again. Nice to explore our local area and find some new spots we haven't been too before.
Thanks to all the cache owners for these caches.
Busy spot but was able to grab this cache and sign log.
Find number 15 for the morning

Showery morning putting paid to our intended bike ride, so we elected to geocache along here instead, which turned out to be a great decision. Cache is all good. TFTC
Found on the way to Rotorua for a Family Christmas and manged to arrive lunchtime two days later. Rather quicker than expected! Yep, geocaching is the slowest route between two points!
Taking the back road - the scenic route - to Rotorua. Stopped here along the way.

I'm on a road trip to the far north, attempting to complete the PWGT Tahi Geotour.
This is day one, heading from home to the bustling metropolis of Huntly.
Will expand on my logs, post photos, qualifying caches for challenges, etc. When I get home. TFTC
That was a quick stop, although my timing was shot due to a large truck turning while I was making the find. I guess I'll be catching up to it soon.

Day 11 of my Spring Holiday and after spending a couple of days in Cambridge it was time to make our way home. First leg of the journey is to Wellington to catch the Ferry.
Early start and left at 5.15am in the rain. This was the first stop once it was light and keeping a close eye on Google to make sure we still had a good half hour up our sleeve on our arrival time. Very critical and quite handy really so will be using it again for sure...on mute of course haha. Nice quick find here TFTC

It was a quick stop. We had considered having a morning tea break here but decided to just find a cache.
Thanks
Thanks
Beautiful day, easy find, nice cache, thanks (apologies for the delay in posting)
Out for a day caching with Maplerose, she was driving and I was navigating. So glad the ground was frozen here especially with the strange looking "mud" pat just in front of the cache.
I was so sure I had found this one a long time ago and have driven past here so many times knowing it was here and thinking I had already found it. Well, previously found or not, I found it again today, so finally logging it. All good here. TFTC!!!
In Turangi area for two nights, first cache for today on my to do caches on Kuratau Hydro Road. Thanks XenaCommander for the cache.
my muggle friend wanted to go for a drive today, so we decided to start my caching part of the drive here, a quick find, tftc
Today I'm driving from Paraparaumu Beach to Hamilton en route to Auckland for work and leisure. I had time to find a few caches along the way. I decided to go up the western side of the lake today. This cache was on the way so I stopped for a quick find here. TFTC, Biggles.
(# 6479). Grabbing a few caches on the way to a funeral in Matamata. One has to break the trip up a little bit. A quick find. Everything in order. Thanks for bringing me here.
One of eight located on our drive home from Morrinsville to Wellington today. We were able to travel at a more leisurely pace on our return trip than on our way up, thus having more time to pick up a few caches along the way. A reasonably quick find at a rather busy intersection. C.O. Skindo has multitudes of this sort of hide in the Wairarapa and uses just one word for the hint: ‘Brace’. #3593. TFTC.
Day 2 of my week long road trip of geocaching, camping and seeing a few bands. Today I left Wanganui early(ish) headed for the Dickey Flat campsite and one of the remaining old school caches. For the first time I am using the cachetur.no website and app to plan out my caching, and it's proving to be a handy wee tool.
No problem here, found safe and dry. TFTC

I have a 3 month sabbatical mostly traveling around the planet. My goal is to find and log 1000 caches. New Zealand is my 4th station traveling from south Christchurch to north Auckland, my first visit here, its far away. This is my sabbatical-cache #889.
After a couple of days in Turangi, I headed home today taking the west route to go after some caches over here.
This was a quick stop to pick up one more. TFTC.

Planning for the [NZ Mega 2020](http://nzmega.com) event is well underway. It will be held in Auckland over Labour Weekend, 23 to 26 October 2020. It's going to be a massive celebration of geocaching:
* 20 years of geocaching worldwide.
* 20 years since New Zealand had the very first geocache hidden outside of USA.
* And it's 2020 - all the 20s!
Talk to your geo-friends and start planning to be part of [this event](http://nzmega.com) - you won't want to miss it!

This will be my last find as I travel South to North (2053km)
So many caches left behind, no time to find this time.
We stop here as it seemed a good place to pull over. Its the day of the Lake Taupo Cycle Challenge, so all the laybys have been taken over by officials (water etc for the cyclists). Many cyclists pass us by on the other side, some as individuals, and others in packs of various sizes.
At the intersection here, is an ambulance and officials making sure the cyclists turn left
As to the cache, I went to far, and had to back track, happy to find this one.
Thanks for the hide XenaCommander, all good with the cache today

Found 1 cache of the new mystery souvenirs. Detective done. Yeah. Now for the rest. Thanks CO for bringing us here and for a stop.
For my personal challenge of working towards getting my calendar on GC.COM to be at least the same shade of green or darker I need to sign off at least 12 caches today. I won't grumble if I find one or two more. Today I decided to go a drive down to Kuratau from Taupo as I hadn't explored this area before.
I replaced the log as the existing one was completely full. The dogs across the side were a very noisy welcoming committee.
Cheers for the cache.

Coming back from Taumarunui and decided why not we should stop for this one. Nice quick park and grab. Tftc
A road trip from Tauranga to Taumarunui... stopped here and wished they still sold those great ice creams here. Found the cache exactly where it shouldve been. tftc
On our way from Taumaranui to Taupo today.
A lot warmer on this side of the Waituhi today.
A quick park and grab. Log getting full.

Appalling weather for caching but I did it anyway! I found the most caches out of all the days on my holiday, just because they were mostly drive by's... Luckily a true quick stop! TFTC!!
Find number 4624. Decided to spend a couple of days in and around Turangi and also to attend 2 events being held in the area. After leaving at 7 am with a quick stop in Cambridge to grab a FTF. I had time before the event so grabbed some caches along the road. Then after the event I was making my way into Turangi so stopped for this one. Not a quick stop for me. I had to cross the road and had to wait for traffic . But other than that Cache was all good. Thank you for the placement.
On our 28th day in New Zealand we travelled on from New Plymouth via the forgotten World Highway up to Turangi. This is really an interesting road with lot's of lovely views. With the caches we were not that lucky, there were a number of not finds. It must have heavily rained in that area over the last days, there were lot's of stones coming from the hills on the road and most logs were really wet. But we enjoyed ourselves very much. Thanks to all the cache owners to have caches in such an area. TFTC and greetings from Switzerland
Von New Plymouth fuhren wir heute nach Tranig. Auf den Weg dorthin gab's den einen oder anderen Halt.
Gut getarnt, aber es reicht doch für einen quick stop - TFTC

Driving up to Auckland today gave me the opportunity to pick up a few caches along the way.
In particular, I was super keen to find a cache by this CO as it was the last piece I needed to complete a spelling challenge cache, having failed to find the only other cache by this CO I've been anywhere near back in July at Auckland Harbour Bridge due to it having been muggled!
So I was delighted that this was a very easy park and grab, with no-one around to disturb my caching admin to the log and cache replacement ready for the next finder.
I've driven past this spot so many times before in the past without giving it a moment's thought, but since discovering Geocaching I now see everything from a renewed perspective, so thank you for placing and maintaining this cache.

The kids and I spent the weekend in Taupo. Saturday we made our way to Turangi and then further around lake to Whareroa and then back to Taupo never been this side of the lake always good going to new places. We arrived back at the Lake Taupo holiday resort after dark and went straight to the hot pools so nice after a long day. Tftc
Quick find today .

On dear! The weather’s gone misty again. Such a long drive from New Plymouth to Napier. Thank god for caching!
Did what it said on the tin - quick stop and find! It wasn’t any strain at all.... TFTC
We’re in Turangi on a family holiday so geocaching is not the priority. However, it’s good to fit an occasional cache in.
Today we headed off up the western side of Lake Taupo to walk some of the Waihaha track. This cache was quickly located at the junction. We couldn’t get phone service here so had to rely on the info on the cache page to find this, but that and geo-sense quickly prevailed. TFTC
