With Gap (of Fap and Gap) Were here for Geo Toroa (Dunedin Mega). Between flight cancellations and re-routing, things could only get better, right? But wait, theres more! Somewhere on our caching escapades, I dropped my wallet (Tuesday) Its still at large, so if anyone finds itOne of us usually drives, the other is the retriever. That works for us. Weve either logged caches with our separate handles, or weve used FANGS to sign the logbook. Using the latter handle is more for mental health and well being. Its tiring having to write 15 + characters on each logbook Visiting Milton, Milburn and Waihola today. Not a big swathe of caches, and well need to walk for some. Not on our original plan, but we decided to have a look at it anyway There were all sorts of interesting notations at ground zone, but our projections looked to be private pastures. Confused, we were about to give up Something just didnt sit right with us. A sudden brain wave and an aha moment had us back on track and heading to the final. Thanks cat_e_bear. TFTC.

Found the cemetery, but nothing made sense. Not looking good for my achievements at the mega! Oh well, I don't want to peak too early.

26-Jul-24
Dsi has this on his solved list ages ago, and today was time to stop here. The residents were quiet today. Tftm

Did not find the coordintes at waypoint 1.

05-Feb-24
Got distracted by the numbers on hint object. Wonder how the co did that? Then the aha moment.

25-Dec-23
This was the first stop for the day. All in good order.

28-Aug-23
Travelling home to Invers from a Dunners visit decided to drop in and find this one. Cache all good tftm

08-May-23
Found this one today thanks to Lions.v.Lambs who assisted me with the coordinates for the final. Felt like a walk and it was a nice day so took my dog walking to WP1, about 2kms from my home, and I've passed this little cemetery innumerable times. No sign of coordinates for final at WP1 as expected and as noted in the last two legitimate logs, in June last year. Turned around and walked back again, towards the final - another place I'm familiar with - via the gravel rural back roads for a change of scenery - another couple of kilometers. Easy find at final, container and contents in good condition - left a little treasure - AA. Luckily not too much further to walk home from there, another 1.5kms. Good walk! 5-6km all up, good exercise, happy dog. Tftc.

Great hiding place

25-Jun-22
Needed this one for my hidden months but sadly alas no luck here today could not find WP1 at all, couldn’t find the hint item for waypoint 1 either Sad maybe after a long few days of caching I’ve turned blind who knows but with no activity on this cache for over a year and a half WP1 may be gone ?????????

25-Jun-22
Trying again, got sent a message just before I left waypoint 1 for what to look out for re-checked WP1 definitely gone wallows so I was aided with WP2 coordinates made a quick dash to WP2 for a super easy P&G find, cache is in excellent conditionT4TC TY Wilby Warrior for bailing me out that’s twice in 2 days I appreciate your caching spirit ️

We came along the back road to give two of the cachers in the group a chance to do this delightful multi.

So while they were taking care of WP formalities, two of us went into the cemetery to meet the locals.

Here's a nicely carved child's gravestone... see that sheep in the background heading to the left?

That beast must have been a pet lamb grown into a thuggish piece of work.

Approached my sister-in-law who patted it... then got butted to the ground, grazing her knee and bumping her head. I picked up a piece of wood and threatened the sheep...who backed off... but as soon as I turned around it was my turn to be butted over, getting a bruised arm.

So be warned! The historic locals in the cemetery are nice people, but the current locals are nasty and quite dangerous!

25-Nov-20
As daywalk has noted, this was a stop along the way while heading for the main object: finding Sew a Seed ... . While the aggressive antics of a local guardian of the cemetery were going on, katie w found the coordinates of the final.

We actually only got to the final towards the end of the expedition, but it was easily found, followed by an abortive search for an archived, but allegedly still present cache near the entrance.

TNLN. TFTC.

Finding the way point was easy. The story about the little cemetery at the WP is not mine to tell.............. a cautionary tale, if ever there is one!
Found the final after a wander round much of the cemetery, it was an interesting place!
Thanks cat_e_bear

24-Aug-20
Spent ages looking for the WP. The only reason I didn’t give up was it was found only 2 months ago. After finding the WP, I realised I had put my hands on it twice earlier without realising what it was!! Another reason for not giving up was it was the last Wonder of the World I needed to complete the souvenir and there were no others nearby. Final found easily. Great info about the cemetery. Tftc

12-Jun-20
Have previously been to the area where the final is located, but never knew about the history at the waypoint. Very interesting. Love the containers containers too

12-Jan-20
TFTC - really enjoyed the history with this cache and visiting two places I had never been to before.
Such an interesting sport this geocaching , thanks for bringing me here

11-Jan-20
Staying in Milton. Definitely the last cache of the day. Full log later. TFTC

Idyllic spot, this. Places such as these deserve to be preserved. Thank you for the cache.

01-May-19
Heading out to find a few caches on a beautiful Otago day. First multi for awhile. Thanks

07-Apr-19
Hubby wanted to go for a drive so we headed towards Crystal beach where he has wanted to visit for a while. I thought we could do this multi as it was a glorious afternoon. What an interesting starting point. We never knew this was here. Got the waypoint and after a look around we got the numbers to find the final. Didn't realise how big this place was. TFTC cat_e_bear a fav from me.

05-Feb-19
A nice way to post coords at wp1, they've just resurfaced the road, so we were a little worried it may have gone, but tucked away safely. At GZ we liked the link and the cache was found quickly.

Collected the coordinates on our way into Milton and visited the final location a little later in the afternoon. No trouble finding the cache. We spent some time looking around before we left. TFTC

03-Apr-18
Final location makes sense, thanks. Our first multi

31-Mar-18
There have been quite a few articles in the paper about this cemetery exhumation work, so it was fascinating to see the actual place with the headstones of those who were rich enough to afford them. The final was also an interesting place to stroll through. Mr D took over the job of getting the lid off - it had been jammed on a bit crosswise so was stuck. A nice multi!

07-Mar-18
Had a wee look with the kids will be back tho

05-Mar-18
Nice wee find thank you

23-Feb-18
It was a couple of years ago that I found the container which was throughly stuck to the object that it is hiding under and I couldn't get it open. I revisited another time without luck and then earlier this year I had MR i-gotit with me but upon arrival there were too many people around (25th April) so we have it a miss. Today as soon as I touched the container it detached and been able to see what I was doing I was able to access the log. i took care in essuring that it was attached to the object where it is hidden. A nice little multi.

18-Nov-17
Great wee cemetery cache. Very different to the normal cemetery multi. I do like multi and cemetery caches. TFTC

07-Nov-17
Added my signature to the logbook. Thanks for leading us to another cemetery we wouldn't have visited if it weren't for caching. There isn't a cache at the site my Pop is buried at anymore and it does kinda make me glad it's archived now. TFTC

06-Nov-17
Several months to return to pick up some previously plotted caches and Little plot was high on the cards. I had caught the news clipping about some exhumations in the old cemetery and though wheep what about the cache ?!? Luckily the WP was found well out side the cemetery grounds and the final was found elsewhere. The small cache was found in first place and while the mags were strong, so was the lid's seal. TOTT had the top pried loose and after SL, got set back to rights and returned to hide. Yep bunnies everywhere. TFTC

17-Apr-17
all back and running

24-Dec-16
Merry Christmas Eve to you.

I'm still pushing on to reach my new years resolution (2000 finds by 11.59pm 31st Dec 2016), this is one of the ones I found today to bring me below the 200 to go mark.

Had found waypoint ages ago, so could find the final which was all in good conditions.

30-Nov-16
Out of action for a while.

13-Nov-16
Found the fishguts but what was on it is gone so cant finish the mult.

10-Jul-16
I enjoyed this multi - two extremes from the start to the finale. Another extreme was the peace at GZ compared with the waypoint where trees were being chain sawed up. TFTC #8896

25-May-16
Holidaying in the area with tmann421 and collecting some caches along the way.

A nice quick solve and find for us here today. TFTC

We had come in the direction of the final location, but decided to turn back to get this one.

Good multi-cache and liked the locations. Easy final cache find. SL TFTC

#54 on a 3 day weekend of geocaching adventures down South. WP1 quickly found by J and after a little talking to the cows and R falling in a big hole we were off to WP2. Totally overlooked by J & R but spotted straight away by K. This is an "A" for our monthly challenge and nicely completed in around an hour with My Castle and Yes Please Smile TFTC

28-Feb-16
Awesome cache. Our first multi. Tftc. Nice leap day out.

31-Jan-16
WP1 is somewhat sodden. I located the final but couldn't unscrew it so I'll make a return visit at another time when visiting Toko Mouth and hopefully Mr i-gotit will be with me to do the deed.

28-Dec-15
Nice easy multi. Some interesting reading on the headstones that can still be read. TFTC

03-Nov-15
Thanks for fixing this one up. Enjoyed this one

found the container at the first coordinates but there were no follow on instructions inside. Sad

07-Mar-15
I woke up a little earlier than usual so I thought it would be great to go for a little drive and find a little plot! However, the sun is now somehow delayed even compared just to a week ago, so I ended up visiting a small burial ground and a ... well before it was light Razz Both waypoint and final sorted without any issues in the dark and rain, perfect weather for such location! Very enjoyable multi cache, thank you!!!

Quick find after doing McNally's tftc

We love old cemeterys since they tell stories of long forgotten times. So we visited this one and were a bit confused about the remote final coordinates. But on our way the name of the road was very plausible Wink There we found a very obvious cache container - even for muggle's eyes. And an interesting location with a history.

Phew thank goodness for Granville86a remembering the co-ords, the Tablet froze as we parked the car for the final location, didnt realise till we go half way t location. The co-ordinates are not visible anymore, please re-write them on the paper. I would have done but I was unsure on a couple of numbers, so may have got them wrong.

01-Apr-13
It was a bit hard to read the co-ords on the waypoint, looks like it might have been a bit damp at some stage. This has to be one of the saddest cemeteries we've been to. Found with debsnz

01-Apr-13
The waypoint had us heading back to where we'd just come from but all good as we found the final quickly. Found with Aoraki Sheep.

15-Jan-13

Geocaching with Jykk€. I went to the middle of sheeps and there was waypoint 1. I think that somebody has left the gates open because in the coordinates paper read: "shut the fu**ing gates, please! ". This was simple multi. Greetings from Finland. TFTC!

12-Jan-13
A nice multi. We found the first part reasonably quickly and followed the direct instructions on the sheet. The final was well hidden too. TFTC

03-Nov-12
We were nearby today, so stopped at Wp1 and replaced the mess with a new paper with coords noted there-on. Should be all good now for future visits (unless it gets wet again). b&w

28-Oct-12
found the cache at the wee burial plot, needs the paper replaced as it was wet and not complete.

28-Oct-12
The last loggers are right in that, the paper in WP1 is a wet screwed ripped ball. We were able to decifer all bar one number, gave us enough to find the final near a spot we have been to before. cheers b&w

Edit to fix muddled logs

Thank you cat e bear! I think the ratings should be adjusted. There is no way someone in a wheelchair would find the first waypoint, for example. Nice cache, though.
