I am down under for the very first time. Visiting Australia has always been a dream of mine, and I cannot believe it has come true. Australia's nature and wildlife really captivated me. Over three weeks, I saw many wonderful beaches, sunsets, animals such as , and I found great geocaches. My tour guide was mostly geocaching, and through it, I discovered many beautiful places I wouldnt have seen without our great hobby. I mainly stayed in Brisbane but also visited other gorgeous places such as Noosa Heads and Springbrook. I spent a few days on the Gold Coast and Moreton Island, and I went to New South Wales to have visited a second state in Australia. During my stay, the winter and early spring in Queensland were very warm, the sun shone every single day, and I did not see a single drop of rain. My time down under was so beautiful and unforgettable. Australia is such a stunning country! Today I spent another day in Brisbane. I really like this city and I discovered beautiful places. I also looked for many geocaches like this one. At stage 1 struggled a bit a few days ago, so I came back with an extra hint. At GZ I could find the cache easily. After signing the log I put the container back as found. Thank you for this geocache says Mr. J. Cacher from the other side of the world
Brisbane Day 1: Since I have a long weekend back home, I suppose it would be nice to spend it somewhere where the weather isnt actively trying to turn you into a puddle - and spend a couple of days on a geocaching spree. So, the plan was made for a solo trip down to Brisbane for just that. The flight arrived nice and early today, and a short train trip to the city later, the day began in earnest. After a few caches as a warm-up, I dropped the luggage off at the hotel, and headed out for a second round - which included the clock tower tour. Once I could check, I had a short break to sleep off the jet lag, and I headed out to Fortitude Valley for dinner. It has been a very productive day indeed so thanks for all the caches in the city! This is the specific log for this cache:First cache picked up on the way to dinner. The coordinates were resolved very quickly to reveal a very close GZ which I headed over to poke around at. The geosenses were spot on here and the cache was found in no time. Nice construction here, I must say. TFTC!
Found this cache quite easily We forgot a pen and started waking away to go and find one from a nearby shop and then stumbled across one on the floor right next to us so turned around and went to sign the cache Tftc great cache great spot
My first for today. Headed out from the city to collect a couple of Valley caches. This was quick to collect the info and the find. TFTC.
This morning I did a bit of a morning run or rather scoot and collected a few caches in the vicinity of the city. This one was easily solved and had me confused for a second due to the closeness of the final cache. But it was a quick find with info on the 7th heaven which may prove useful.TFTC!
EngPhil I found your cache First Aid on 28/10/2023, 5:51 pm. This is my find 6197 and find # 10 today. Gathered the required numbers and formulated the final coordinates. Not many hiding places, found it in the first place I looked. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN
There’s a few B.C.C signs and the final coordinates seem to be in a place that I can’t access? Which means I did it wrong, it said easy and as a new player this is not easy haha
A last minute decision to come and find this one when we were driving past and saw a nice handy empty car parking space. After finding the relevant numbers and turning them into coords, we started our hunt around GZ. Standing back and thinking where a cache might be hidden, we tried a couple of spots before striking the jackpot. Thanks EngPhil
Kinda kicking myself. Stood right on top of the cache a few weeks ago calculating the coords... Left because it started raining. Ugh... Bittersweet
#11330 - This is the third cache in this series that I have found. No problems in finding the required numbers, but without a piece of paper and with a very short memory , it may happen that you key in the wrong final coordinates. Luckily, I double-checked the numbers before I set off, and I realized my mistake. With the correct numbers in the GPS, it was a short walk to GZ, where the cleverly disguised cache was soon found.
TFTC and greetings from Sweden!

The last day in Brisbane, after having spent 2,5 weeks here on business, and it was time to head home again. The flight wasn't until this evening, so there was time for some last caches. The morning was a bit rainy/drizzly, but with a rain coat and an umbrella, it wasn't too bad.

As so many others experienced, once I stood back a distance it became an easy spot, great puzzle and hide, no pen so log photo as proof, TFTC!
Super fast multi find. Thanks for adding another Australian cache to my list of finds.
Stopped while passing on a Saturday to avoid any parking issues. A fairly quick find TFTC
Having missed this one on a previous visit I came back to make amends and found it pretty quickly. Wasn’t going to be a muppet today. Cheers EngPhil. Nice urban cache
After attending the event hosted by greencordial at Roma Street Parklands, I am trying to complete a few Adventure Labs that I started on my previous visit to the city.
On my way to a WP, I parked nearby to find this cache. Gathered the numbers and worked out GZ but couldn't locate this cache. Searched all around and as I was on a PAF call, found the tricky hide before any hints. What a clever location. SL then returned as found.
A fav point from me.

On a mission today with hatzofff and grannysmith1947 to find a few multi caches for a challenge we are working towards but are yet to qualify for.
Another nice easy one for today, a quick find at GZ and damaged log sheet replaced.

I worked out the coordinates a couple of weeks ago and because it was busy I was cache blind. But today spending some mother daughter time on Mother’s Day, saw it immediately. Tftc
I need some more virtuals for a challenge cache. Nayfee said there are quite a few in the city. Ugh. I don't go to the city. It is in my too hard basket. But he convinced me to get a Go Card, catch a train and meet him there. So, I did. We walked 22.5km today. Oh my poor feet. We chased many ALs (sometimes around in circles and with back-tracking) and had to keep remembering to open the normal app to see what was around.
The log was really jammed in there, but luckily I had tweezers. Signed, squeezed everything back in. Then after we had walked away and got to 2nd degree, I realised there was a little tiny laminated piece in the bottom of this cache that I didn't look at :'( Ugh...I believe I need that info for 7th Heaven.

Dayboro QLD Mega - Day Seven:
The seventh day of our mega road trip with buhfuhguh!
buhfuhguh only joined me for the first two caches of the day, before I continued on the day solo. Found 20 caches, but was out for about 10 hours! Lots of high quality caches again, mainly virtuals, letterboxes and Wherigo's, as well as a few "Large" caches. Didn't have time for everything, but did a good chunk! The rain cleared up for part of the day too which was fantastic, given it had been raining for about 3 days straight!
Thanks to all the CO's!
---
This Cache:
Haven't got many multi's this trip, so when an easy one popped up nearby I decided to have a look. Parked right next to the parking meter considering it was dark and quiet. Did the calculations and ended up close by! Perfect!
After a short search, the well hidden cache was soon located. Great hide, not one that would get muggled I don't think!
Thanks for the cache

Caching with Triggerfish in the city. We found this multi to be the easiest of the ones we have completed thus far. Everything is clear, no mysteries (except what has changed in cityscape, but easy enough to work out thanks to the i go required. Cache is dry.
Thanks for the fun, EngPhil

A new record store opening nearby so I joined hubby for a trip to the valley. While he shopped, I hunted!
It’s been a while since I’ve seen the Valley in the daylight and now I remember why I avoid it
While this cache seemed straightforward there must have been a sign I was missing because my finals were putting me in a very unlikely spot across town! Made a PAF and got some help.. Soon after I made my way to GZ and looked but came up empty, a car pulled up so I stepped away pretending to be busy! it was while pretending to be busy I spotted the cache from a distance!
What a great hide! FP from me

Motorcycle decided to drop its chain whilst riding home from work. Nothing better to do whilst waiting for the tow, but go caching. Very clever container and easy co ordinates to work out. This is one of my longer logs as I have a bit of time to kill.
Boy it’s nice to have this one in the bag. I’ve had that sad blue icon on my screen for years! But back at work now and needing a stretch of the legs, so out the door and a stroll in the sunshine.
I’m so glad I went to the listed coords and gathered the information. Because GZ had changed greatly since my last visit. I wondered around for a while without luck and started to doubt myself.
So l went back and rechecked my numbers. There was an error, but insubstantial so I was in the right place. It was about this time that a group of guys walked past and into the building. One of them had a wry smile on his face. I wondered if that was Baroki Scout?
Down to business and the cache was spotted from a distance. Ooh that is clever. I love these urban hides. Yet again Engphil does not disappoint. TFTC!

Out and about with Stairman1 today. Both of us had done parts of this series and decided to finish it off. We almost did it. 6 years since I first attempted this without luck so I'm glad I re-read the page as it has changed a bit since then. Parked nearby and gathered some data which soon let me to the sneaky hide. Info gathered and onward we go. Thanks EngPhil
With a previous DNF during business hours when I was a little nervous poking around near people's cars, a return visit was made today. With no-one around within cooee, it was an easier find. This building sure looks much different now than it once did according to street view!

Day 4 of the Easter holidays, after 2 days of kayaking we decided to do some walking and caching. Selva Girls and I pick some caches around the city.
We had lots of fun today. I did 14 caches for this day. 3 mystery, 3 multi, 3 trad and 5 adventures lads.
Had lots of fun doing this one.
Cache a day to keep the doctor away, or is it to keep me sane. No it’s to keep my streak alive. EngPhil TFTC *495* streak. *2956* Finds

I was running a bit early for an appointment today so I thought I would wander and by wander I mean drive up to check out this multi. Nabbed a park nice and close and armed with the final coords I set off to make a quick find at GZ. Tftmc
I really enjoyed this little multi. at first visit I doubted my gz was correct and before looking too closely I had to leave to pick up my son. 2nd visit I had confirmed with previous finder that indeed I was in the right spot and there were not too many places to hide a cache here so I found it fairly quickly and also noted the clue. Looking forward to finding the rest in this series. Thanks for the fun today
Quick find on the way to work. Enjoyed the puzzle. Cache contents dry after recent deluge of rains. Log looking a little rough. Tftc
Replaced clue. Cache is looking a little sad and sorry, and is not very secure in its spot. I will have to return to fix it up properly.
Not sure that I had the correct sign as it was newer than the cache, but the numbers looked good. Peeked at GZ and spotted the cache straight away.
Could not find any hint for the 7th heaven here
Thank you for this multi

After finishing up work and getting back to my car that was parked in the city I thought I’d open up Geocaching to what was close by. Luckily the nearest cache was only a short drive away, so I got in my car and made my way over, luckily their was plenty of parking.
Once there it was only a short walk to get what was needed and another short walk to find the cache.

Tuesday. Got this one nailed pretty quickly (which was nice after my effort on the last cache). Got the numbers crunched very quickly and couldn’t believe it would be where my arrow was pointing. Had a couple of looks and read a hint that mentioned it being in plain sight. Went back to the front as my arrow was pointing sort of in that direction and thought better of it in about 2 seconds. Arrow soon settled on one spot and bingo! Got the cache. Extremely well constructed cache hide. Reminds me of one other in this series. Log signed and returned.
This was the 2nd of 3 caches found on today's trip.
Thanks ***EngPhil***, for showing us this place.

We've had this cache in our sights for a while now, so finding ourselves in the area in the evening and on a weekend when we'd likely find a park nearby, we decided to drop past. There was a park straight over the road and we found the answers quickly. Finding the cache was a little trickier but shouldn't have taken as long as it did, as we logged a similar one in the past week. A clever hide though!
We're not generally fans of multis, but this one is just how we think a multi should be- quick, not too hard, and not a long walk between stages. The log is falling apart and hard to extract and we couldn't find the clue for seventh heaven, but signed the log. Thanks for this cache which I think is the first in the series we've managed to find, after a dnf on Fifth Column and Third Degree becoming unvailable between us solving the puzzle and hoping for the final! A nice find.

Needing a multi today for a challenge I am working towards, this seemed doable. Once I had the information from the posted co-ords we found that we were not parked too far away from GZ. A quick scope and I located the well concealed cache....in plain view. A favourite from me. Thanks EngPhil, greetings from Ballarat, Victoria....where it snowed this morning!
On a short night trip we found this cool multi.

I am visiting Brisbane with work for three days, and today was my second day in the city. Today comprised of an event pre-work, and slip out during a break to find a cache, and then an evening of jogging around Fortitude Valley and across Story Bridge collecting a variety of caches. It was a great pleasure to go through EngPhil's numbered multi-cache series, as well as ticking off the virtual on the bridge.
Unfortunately, the initial numbers and analysis were a little dull for this multi-cache, and I can see that the CO has had to rejig this in the past history to keep this cache alive. The month/year was very hard to read at this time of night, so I had to take a photo of it close and then read the relevant information off my phone. GZ was then calculated.
I had to walk around GZ for five minutes looking in the limited spots that I could find. However, finally I found it, and I was impressed. So even though the numbers calculation was dull, the cache hide and contents certainly make up for it. I hope this continues or at least can be reworked a little to the CO’s satisfaction instead of archiving. At the very least, I can see this hide being quite popular as a traditional cache. Awesome hide, and very close to a FP from me for this one, thanks EngPhil.

This time, I am not travelling by air ambulance but am on a normal vacation instead.
Kind of normal at least...
My main destination was the South Pacific but as I used up some air miles to get there and home my routing is not exactly straight...
Now, I am on my way home already and have a stop in Brisbane. After the flight I needed to stretch my legs, grab some food and do some sightseeing. Along the way I found a few caches.
At first, I was a bit puzzled that I didn’t find St John’s here but a lady gave me some more information (which is actually also given in the listing)...
Then I needed to find out what a B.C.C. sign is but the hint and explanation made that clear. The rest was quick...

Ok got there in the end. On my first visit I got two sets of coords. With the phone gps jumping around like a toddler on sugar I landed up scratching around in some plants After turning up a syringe and a pipe I called it quits and headed off to the other location. Few hills later I arrive at a private residence, not the cache .
After a nudge from the CO and checking my coords on a more accurate device (google maps) I see the initial error and return this evening and get success. No need for gym tonight a few km walked today. Thanks for the cache EngPhil, and it’s onto the next one!

I was out today to pick up a few caches to help towards a challenge cache I am aiming for on an upcoming overseas trip. I was on the hunt to collect caches on their anniversary of placement, and today was the 7th anniversary of this one.
Don't know how many times I have driven past, never with any time to stop, but today I had the motivation for a visit. Information was quickly located and the adjusted coordinates calculated. At GZ my searching turned up a newly cut key, supposedly safely hidden away - I'd love to know which nearby door that opened!! Adjusting my search zone I soon turned up another likely location where the cache was duly found safe and well. TFTC

Once at GZ it was quick find of this sneaky, well placed & well concealed cache.

Description has been reworked using the dwindling information available onsite.
Honestly, given that the location no longer matches the theme anyway, this cache's days are probably numbered. I'll probably archive it and put a replacement in a more appropriate spot.... shame, I really like this hide.

And now that information has gone, too....
Cache is still in place, but the info needed isn't. While the actual hide is (I think) one of the better ones in the series, the location doesn't fit the theme any more. I'll need to think about what to do with this one next....

Even with all the bits in place this proved a tricky find. Nearby tenant delayed the search then forgot to record the Clue. reopened the container, resealed and on to the next.

Today we found ourselves in the city and decided to spend the day completing a few of the multis we had been putting off and to complete a certain unknown cache [^] We started off quite early as we had a big day ahead of us, but fortunately things went relatively smoothly and we managed to complete the challenge we had set ourselves
After locating the required information, we made our way to the calculated ground zero a few hundred metres away. Once we arrived however, we knew we had something wrong, as knowing the cache owner, this location would be highly unlikely to be that chosen for a cache - there was however the Queensland Ambulance Service building just up the hill though! After re-checking the information and calculations, we decided to check with EngPhil to see where we had gone wrong
Armed with the correct information, it didn't take us very long to find ourselves at the correct ground zero where we found the cache easily enough. With our name added to the log book, we continued on our way.
Thank you EngPhil for creating the cache and maintaining it for everyone to enjoy

Oops, there was a slight error in the calculation. This has now been fixed. Apologies to anyone who may have been led astray, and thanks to Just a Trifle for alerting me to the problem!
First aid has been performed to the cache description.
I'll probably have to move/archive it later on, but for now, it's findable once more.
Also checked on the container, all still in good shape.

St. John have moved out and the info is no longer available. Need to work out what to do with this one now.
Cache is still in place for the moment.

After being in the neighourhood collecting the second hand multi, i couldn't resist wandering up here to find some coords and loitering around for the solve paid off, thankfully. Cheers engphil! Only one left. ..time to go visit some 'alternate waypoints' .......again.
On a waiting list for dinner, we had time to kill and wandered over to find this cache. Love the hide! Tftc
What a glorious sunny day for some Caching. We are in the Brisbane area for a few days of Caching. This was a quick multi-cache to do and a quick find was had at GZ. Cache replaced as found. Many thanks for bringing us here. TNLN SL TFTC
Visiting Brisbane for the day with Eskies5 to collect a few caches that were on our to do lists. Continuing on our walk around Brisbane this was our next stop. With a quick calculation of the numbers an easy find was able to be made. Great hide and TFTC EngPhil
The next stop for us on our wander around the city...made short work of this for a quick find of this cleverly hidden cache. This is a hidden date for me so I was very happy to tick it off. TFTC EngPhil.
Went with a few of my students today for our first attempted at geocaching to finish up our positions unit. Unfortunately we could not located the geocache, which the girls were very disappointed about. We still had a lot of fun along the way and hope to give it another go next term.
Simple to solve and very close to find. Because the GZ was so close to the WP, we were worried we'd inputted the final coordinates incorrectly, but within minutes He-Squirrel had the sneaky cache in hand, so we were obviously right!
I just arrived in Brisbane and checked into the hotel and decided to go for a short walk and do three multi caches near by. This was the first one. Got the coords then made a quick find. TFTC
Wow! Nice hide took us a little while but Sparhawke noticed something a little different and we had the cache in hand. TFTC!!
After a bit of a look and a false alarm, lcoll112 and I found this one and hearted it very much! Tftc!
A couple of fruitless visits so messaged the CO with my co-ords and he said that sounds right so had one last look and had the cache in seconds. Only clue from CO was that my figures were ok. I must have have had cache blindness before. Signed log and replaced cache as found . TFTC
I had worked out the final to this a long time ago but the area was crawling with muggles.
Was heading into the valley for a New Years dinner so got the family to detour via here. Nice and quiet as expected and made a quick find. Retreated to the car to sign.
First find for 2017. Only one more left in the series.

27/11/16, 2:06 pm Find #1500
I dropped Miss 10 off at Rocksports for a birthday party and wandered up here to have a look. The required information was collected in drive by fashion as a couple were hanging out right at the posted coords.
I calculated the final from 100m down the street and decided to come back when there weren't so many people about.
Several caches later, I found myself at GZ and spotted a familiar hide for a quick find for number 1500.

The phone number has indeed changed. The calculation involving A has thus also been changed.
Thanks to Qoobed for bringing it to my attention!

Third time lucky, was sent on a few goose chases due to calculating the wrong coords (believe the phone number has changed, CO has been notified). Awesome little hide and best camo I've seen so far TFTC!
Okay, after about 6 attempts, had to resort to a caching buddy telling me where it was. I had even looked in this spot but the camouflage was just too good. Thanks for the cache.
It was good being there at night for this one. The girl cleaning the foyer gave us a bit of a look when we turned up so we sneaked away around the side of the building to the wrong place to carry on searching - probably looked very dodgy. But we corrected our mistake eventually and felt a bit stupid for missing something so hidden in plain sight. Now only 2 left before we get to heaven.
After a number of attempts I can finally claim a find!
This morning I hopped off the train on the way into the city with the aim of finding both First Aid and Fourth Estate. I am happy to say I found both this morning. I had solved the final GZ coords many months ago and attempted to retrieve it on more than one occasion, but each time there were always too many muggles hanging about. This morning I attempted a "before work" scenario and was rewarded with empty GZ. Knowing approximately what I was looking for it was a quick retrieval. Signing the log I almost forgot about the clue. Luckily I saw it and noted it down.
Thanks for the cache, EngPhil!
