Pprime, T4mmmy, and I pulled up for this one next. After availing ourselves of the nearby facilities we made our way to GZ. We were pretty happy with our approach and traipsed through the bush until we arrived at GZ. We soon found the prize. Pprime did the honours and we re-hid the cache as found. A great little place for a cache and a good chance to stretch our legs. TFTC noikmeister
Accio 11:07:39Out with Fangsoki and T4mmmy collecting some elevation as part of our Mega experience. Heading back to town now and a good place for a short break. A nice little wander over to GZ and no worries finding this one. Thanks Noikmeister for entertaining me at this location. *{Overall find #12409}*

Three days of 4WD with 8 other cars. Unfortunately I could not stop at every cache that popped up on the screen, but at least I managed to squeeze in a few.
After Mount Coree we drove on to Bulls Head for our lunch stop. However not for Eagle Eyed Monkey Girl and myself. We first had to find the nearby cache before starting our lunch.
A good find! TFTC Noikmeister.

With GreyHams we spent a full and very enjoyable day out in the area... an area I really need to come to more often as it was really spectacular on a day as beautiful as today's. With a FTF out in the area it highlighted the many yet to be found caches out this way and a good choice indeed!
An early start was a tasty one with McMuffins to munch on along the way, lots of little wallabies not an issue with the slower speeds along the quiet narrow road. Despite the frost and frozen ground it wasn't cold as we made our way up the first hill with the most glorious blue sky and still air.
The FTF a nice bonus, it was on to an abundance of caches to choose from, we made many smaller walks, loved the spectacular scenery with the snow gums and mountain views.
I'm sure it was my first time up Mt Franklin peak, and certainly my first visit to Bendora Dam. With all the dams at full, Bendora Dam with the overflowing and rushing water was cool to watch, such a great place and SO pleased to have experienced it.
Thank you for your cache that led to such an amazing day Noikmeister.
Unexpectedly large and lively area with many picnics happening. Very cool spot and not difficult through to the cache. Wallabies here are very friendly which was nice to see, one with a little one poking its head out the pouch.

We were looking for somewhere to go caching today, and seeing a new chache still unfound made me look a little closer, and it was in an area full of unfound caches...and it was in a county that neither of us have a FTF in....so early start was had, and with McMuffin in hand we set off for Mt Franklin.
Still a little ice on the ground when we got out of the car but the slope of the hill warmed us up. All info gathered easily, passing all the trads on the way up and some nice looking coords were had. OK, FTF out of the way we set about trying to at least start multi's, solve puzzles, admire earthcaches, grab trads and even a Wherigo.
A sidetrip down to Bendorra dam was made, on a road that was a little scary at times. Very impressive dam and nice little set of caches to find there too.
After that it was mostly park and grabs on the way back...saw GLISS! and nibletricecakes pass in the other directions after the briefest on-the-road chat.
All in all, a great day with some great variety. To all the CO's, thank you for placing.
Amazingly busy park here today!

A pretty walk through the bush up from the picnic area. Cache found without issue - thanks, Noikmeister.
This cache was a short walk from the proposed event this afternoon after the hike, a perfect last stop as we had 10 minutes to spare when we arrived here. A nice relaxed walk to the cache (it looked strange on the satelite pictures so I was unsure wha to expect - must be clouds..) Quick find, at GZ all in good order and I was back in time the event in a jiffy.
Thank you Noikmeister for putting the cache out and maintaining it.
The day: Wilma and I had an awesome day out hiking in a geocaching group organized by cosmonaut97 (thank you very much for that) to go up to Mt Gingera, one of the high peaks around (just under 2000 unfortunatly It was a great hike of close to 17km in just under 6h with about 500m hight gain. Nothing to strenious but for both of us the longest either had done in a little while, quite the pefect hike to get back into it and the weather was just perfect for it. (Sunny, calm and warm nut not hot). Nice to come out here and find these old caches.

Today was a trip to Mount Franklin road the attend an event in the afternoon. While another group walked up Mt Gingera, I visited as many caches along the ridge as I could. I am sure I came the wrong way to this one. Oh well, I found it, so now I can move on to another one.
Thanks for the cache noikmeister

Today is the 15th November 2020 and I managed to find 15 Caches for the day with my friend Loci612. It was an amazing day of caching. We had no DNFs for the day. We spent a total of almost 10 hours caching and I was dog tied at the end of it all. One of the highlights for the day were seeing a Bluetongue and placing 3 new caches. In total I drove 100kms but I love geocaching so much and the friends I have made along the way make it all worthwhile.
I have included one of the Geocaching poems that I have written. I hope that anyone reading it likes it. Thanks for all the caches and sorry for the generic log for this cache but with 15 finds today it is hard to write a different one for each cache.
ALL CACHES WERE SIGNED DSD. ALL CACHES WERE FOUND IN GOOD ORDER UNLESS STATED OTHERWISE. THANKS FOR THE CACHE AND THE ADVENTURE.
I have included my one of a kind Geocache Poem with this log for future readers to enjoy.
Geocache Poem
By DARKSIDEDAN
My endless search goes on and on
Looking for treasures of every kind
Always chasing just one more find
Putting past DNF’s out of my mind
I step out into the world outside,
Seeking what is hidden from me
What size, shape or form will it be?
Only time will tell, I can’t wait to see
Will I find my prize at the end?
I will search in the failing light and cold
Filling with despair having looked everywhere
Where is this thing that gives my life pleasure?
Looking all around from every angle
I read the logs and check the hint
I curse out loud as I walk in circles
Screaming the bloody thing it not there
As time flies by and I fail to see,
Never once stopping to realize
It always been there before my eyes
No need for sorrow, there’s the Geocache.
***** I am currently writing more detailed logs than usual. This is because of a challenge provided by Project-GC called "The Author" Badge. "The Author" Badge challenges geocachers to write an average of one hundred words or more in each Found It log. As of 9th November 2020 my average was 160 words per log, which seems close to the 200 words per log target. However given that I have found so many GC caches, I have to write many logs with well over 100 words for a long period of time to get my average to the target. Apologies to anyone who finds the logs tedious but it is the only way that I can strive to attain this challenge. After 7600 plus caches (which includes all cache finds up and including yesterday), the average log length is just over 160 words. I am now entertaining the possibility that I might be able to achieve my task before this year ends. Progress has been better than anticipated.*****
A Few random photos of our caching day included.

Myself and DSD decided to take the direct route to this cache, parked off the road and made the 100m or so trek up towards it!
This turned out to actually be fairly easy, usually the direct route is not smart but this was quicker than coming from the picnic area for sure! Not too scrubby and only a little bit hilly!
Adhered to the hint, which meant a very quick find was made.
Thanks Noikmeister, first to find today but I assume we were not the last with an event nearby!

Stopped in here on our way up to Mount Franklin today.
We weren't too sure how to get to this one so sort of bush bashed our way to it. Quickly located the cache, signed the log and found an easier way back to the clearing.

Found 13:07 30/5/20. Was great to be able to get into this part of Namagi again. Only a couple of people at Bulls Head. There was a fire there that helped warm us up again after walking to the cache. Thank you noikmeister for the cache and bringing me to this location.
We had a fun afternoon in the Brindabella's where is was cooler than in Canberra. We took photos of us on either side of the NSW/ACT border very close to GZ. This is such a beautiful place that we stopped here for lunch. Quick and easy find. TFTC Noikmeister.

Despite the heat, I decided today was the day to visit Wee Jasper for the first time. On the way I wanted to grab all the TE caches I could, and any others I passed by that could be fitted in. All up 23 caches (including 11 TEs). Unexpectedly I also managed to get 5009 days of unlove from 10 of the finds. About 15km of walking and 500m climb.
This was my sixth find for the day. A quick find. A pleasant ridge to visit. TFTC.

After It starting to snow this morning so I decided to take a drive into the hills to the south of Canberra this afternoon. There is a lovely flat, tree free space around the amenities which is being enjoyed by a couple of families with kids. It's so much warmer up here compared to canberra.
The cache is in good condition, though i must admit I thought it was gone after finding another simarlarly described area with a cubic space below. My gps spun constantly so it really was a matter of following the clue.

A day out caching Brindabella Rd and surrounds South from there. Took the shorest route to GZ, the easiest just too easy , TNLNSL TFTC
Relocated cache 1m to clear it from the border marker which has ACT Heritage status
A day of mainly mountain bike riding collecting caches around the Brindabella Road with JohnnyBoyACT. The plan was we would ride here from the picnic area, however JB suggested we drive instead and I certainly did not object. TFTC.
A geo-trip in the Brindies on mountain bike and foot with Marmaduke Rothschild. Trip report at [http://www.johnevans.id.au/wp/13-september-2016-more-brindabella-geocaching-ridewalk/](http://www.johnevans.id.au/wp/13-september-2016-more-brindabella-geocaching-ridewalk/) . TFTC.
It started as usual. MBO said: let's do a few kilometers and not too many climbs, so we could be done by midday. And as usual it took a bit longer - since we slowed down MBO a lot.
In any case, this cache was a good start and there were no snakes around at this time of the year.
Thanks & greetings to noikmeister

Another weekend of glorious Autumn weather! So a plan was hatched to head out with AngelG27 to nab several higher terrain caches in beautiful spots. The day was about quality not quantity!
This one was another stop off on the way home. Up, up we went from the car where we spotted a couple of cute wallabies in the clearing. Saw the likely hiding spot straight away and when I turned over the camo....aaaaargh! there was a freshly molted huntsman spider under it! It didn't move for the entire time we were completing caching duties so we gently covered it back up when re-hiding the cache
Thanks for the hide, noikmeister

Time for another geomission with Specimen X. She wanted to test out her new GeoJeep, and I wanted a couple of higher T rated caches, so our interests coincided perfectly! We headed off the bitumen on a perfect Canberra autumn morning and had an awesome time, finding 18/18 caches attempted. back by dark - just - we had to stop ourselves from finding "just one more". Thanks to all the cache owners for their caches, and to Specimen X for her fab company today!
another quick find on the way home after a big day out. We did not realise there was a picnic area here, but who needs one with such a lovely spot. We spotted a spider on the cache, and gently lowered him back into position after we replaced the cache. We also spotted some very cute wallabies on the way out! Thanks Noikmeister for a fun stop and cache!

We so enjoyed the organised expedition to Mt Franklin's four caches on Sunday that we decided (at 11am this morning) to come back and do some more of these high altitude geocaches today. So we drove GeoFalcon to the locked gate at Mt Ginini and cached back down the road from there.
Great little picnic area - late on a Tuesday afternoon it was full of Kangaroos enjoying the greener grasses here. Short enjoyable walk up the slope - nice contrasts of undergrowth here compared to further up the road. Cache all good.
Found at 4.40pm on 29th March 2016. TFTC.

Interesting muggle log in the cache. Is this the border marker cairn that we saw mentioned in another cache listing? A short stroll from the picnic area. We plan to come back out to explore the area a bit more including nearby Bull's head. Today this was as far as we got (from the Mt Ginini side). Thanks noikmeister
Found after a brief stop at Bulls head. Odd place this is. I wonder what was here previously?
Today we explored Camberra and surrounds using geocaching as a guide. We enjoyed our scenic tour around the Uriarra State Forrest taking in some great views.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

Parked below and made a steep bush-bash to get to the top. Amazingly peaceful spot - the only sound to be heard was Mrs O coughing up a lung on the road far below . TFTC.
What a adventure today with Skemma.
The Antarctic Vortex last weekend meant there was a LOT of snow around! The whole area was beautiful and white. Such a lovely walk on lovely snow in lovely weather.
The blanket of snow, however, made it much harder to find this one.

A nice picnic area and very quiet today. Went bush after the pine trees and eventually came out into the open near the cache. There's probably a better way, but it was a nice walk anyway.
Thanks
Thanks
We parked the car at the picnic area and hoofed in to gz in a group of 4 .
Dont know if there was a track if so we didnt see it.
Great spot for a cache hide and top views in all directions.
We then enjoyed our lunches , drinks and treats and the info area and seating spots.
No one around and we enjoyed the tranquility.
Many thanks to noikmeister for the good hide location.

Quite surprised to find such an area in here, and it was totally deserted today. went for a stroll to the edge and beyond, and found another area, seemingly well manicured by the local herbivores.

Found on our trip towards the event further down the road (A Long Way to the Top) with Sol de lune. He had already found this one, but thankfully, he was kind enough to walk this distance again for me. It didn't take long to walk to GZ after we parked at the appropriate car park. Such a lovely area here with some good looking camping spots. Once at GZ, the cache was quickly found (with no brown snake slithered around it, thankfully). A lovely area to wander through, right next to the border. TNLNSL. TFTC!
Our first one for the day. I've only been in the 'Berra for 6 months and wanted to look around the outskirts so I said to the geohubby "Let's go for an explore out to Wee Jasper and come back via Yass ... and we could pick up a few caches on the way". ....Well, I started downloading caches along this road and knew we were never going to get to Wee Jasper today! But this is worth the drive and explore along the western border of ACT. I bet that 90% of Canberrans have never been up here!. Thanks for being part of the adventure Noikmeister!
Nice spot for a cache, right on top of the ACT/NSW border (for anyone wondering what the survey post is for). The elder Geokid enjoyed the walk and the find. TFTC!
What a great location , will have to further explore when its cooler, out caching with friends today, there are other people here having picnics at this moment, just getting little too warm to be hanging around, no snakes here today. TFTC
This place must look amazing covered in snow. Great place to stop for a picknic. Found while caching with friends on a hot day on the mountain. SLTN..TFTC
What a great day. Today the cache owner and I set out from the Bulls Head locked gate on mtb to conquer several caches in the area. With the CO waiting back on the road I quickly made my way to GZ and signed the log. A really nice spot which I hope to bring the Geofamily to camp some time.

We had initially planed to go to Mt Franklin but with road closers and diversions this is as close as we got as the Gate was shut and we did not have time to the 22km return walk. Realising there was a cache nearby we went for it to console ourselves. A nice walk in the bush where we spotted roos, and a wombat. (No sign of any snakes). Once at GZ we picked the hide first place we looked. SL, swapped travel bugs and returned. TFTC
TaurusSix and I found the cache (after a nice picnic) but didn't find a snake. Left GC.
Stopped in the picnic area for lunch, a pleasant spot. After a short walk the cache was found easily. Thanks.

Parked at the carpark for the picnic area and just strolled up to the cache.
Easy find and great to escape the heat of Canberra. Already it was 6 degree's cooler. (Mid 20's).

Glorious day to hunt the caches around the mountains...Mr Bushies2 climbed up there by himself and found it...lovely picnic area however we couldn't stay there for our lunch because no dogs allowed and we didn't want to risk the fine Thanks norkmeister.
Had time to quickly shoot up to this one while the kids were thawing out in the car. TFTC

Yes, as Winglen noted one of those rare occasion in our history where the most direct route, Was!
Scored on a days caching that took in areas of Mt Franklin, Pryor's hut and a FTF to finish! Lovely, who could ask for more? (Well maybe beers along the way would have been nice, along with a hot meal, sauna, spa etc)
Thanks for the cache.

Thanks for the cache.
Rather than take the longer gentle approach to this one, we parked immediately below and took the shortest direct line to the cache. This is one of the VERY rare occasions in over 4000 caches that this strategy has paid off! Thanks NM.
4070. [font=Century Gothic][green]Having already walked lots today we decided that this was one time to take the shortest route - 80m. Of course it would have been easier but longer to walk from the picnic area but.... A quick find by ZZ7 while Mr W was doing some gardening nearby. Wonder what will happen next time they survey the boundary?

It would have been nice to have some more time and find a few more border markers, but caching called.

After a 4WD trip around Pig Hill and Mt Coree with mr_roo today we had to come home via Picadilly Circus as Curried Rd is closed at the moment. Since we were so close we detoured to this one and made a nice quick find at GZ in the rain. L GC TFTC and another excuse to get up here.
Found with jusojara after a trip to Pig hill and Mt Coree. We had to go the long way because Curries road was closed. Hope its not another road they are going to shut on us.
We were near this one and decided to stop, the cache was found in the rain so wasnt happy it was a fair distance from the picnic area TFTC

A quick grab with Just a Cacher and Candy Cane 101 on a run out to Bulls Head for lunch. An interesting spot and well worth the drive although no shade was to be had around the picnic area today. We had a pleasant walk to GZ and enjoyed the forgotten border marker here. Thanks for the cache and the lack of snakes today Norkmeister
Drove out this way with Black Bunny and Candy Cane 101 to have lunch at Bulls Head. Picked up a few caches on the way.
We had lunch here.

Fantastic spot for a picnic. Nice cache, no snakes today. Gnomes aslo seem to have departed
Stopped by on the way to some other caches so CazBol could get this one. No snake in residence today, just a rather large bush cockroach. CazBol suggested I may have been mistaken about the cache guardian, but I have proof!!
What a great little spot - driven past plenty of times, but never dropped in! Didn't find a snake, but did find 4 gnomes! Thanks norkmeister.
Have been up here close to 40+ times, probably 20 or so on the MTB from home. But today, with rain threatening and a Christmas lunch to attend in Qbyn, the car was taken out of the garage. (& I had to transport some bulky gnomes too).
Arrived to a lovely still morning, early. Walked over, no snake to be seen, found cache, dropped off 4 GNOMES ON TOP OF CACHE to keep any future snakes away. On the way back down passed 20 or so Trail bikers out in two groups, and 30 or so road bike cyclists - LOL - they ALL got WET WET & WETTER as the rain came down as I got to the T junction to the Cotter/Uriarra.
Thanks the two J's for the cache.

Had a great trip out with Norkmester and the family, the picnic dinner and marshmallows topped it off.
Thankfully there were no brown snakes when we laid the cache... freaky!
The locked gate stopped us going further, will be back this way for sure.
Thanks Norko for a great day.

Woot *FTF*.
Well, this was a great location to get to, bit of fun on the way up and lots of nice facilities once you're there - 'native' 'self-seeded' line of pines was a particularly nice touch . So we hop out in the carpark and see that there's a nice 350m wander - no worries, off we go. I get to GZ to find something that looks pretty obvious, and so I care fully start to remove the camo only to discover a wriggly, chocolate brown cache guardian - eeeek, who knew levitation was that easy???
Hmm, well, this was a FTF hunt, and I've battled worse things than a small-ish, maybe venemous, maybe not snake, who just happens to be curled around the blinking cache - I can do this, right??? I wander around and find a big stick (of the non-hissing kind) and thump the ground and rocks around my new friend who very kindly moves a short distance away. I carefully hook the cache out, and to my pleasure see that the log is blank.
I sign and then face my next problem - how do I return the cache to it's location and replace all the camo without discovering if it bites? I manage to place the cache back where it needs to be, which then promts Sam the Snake to come back out to try and re-position himself around the cache - he's a persistent little beggar this one, but I don't want to damage him, so I thump around with my thwacking stick and he moves a little further away. I rapidly cover up the cache and return to the car to calm my nerves and do something about dinner.
Oh, and the mozzies are huge and viscious up here as well!!!
