No luck today. Only had the last 4 logs which were all DNF but looking online once back home it seems there are periodic finds so maybe it is well hidden and not actually missing.
Have to add my name to the DNF list. After a reasonably long search with Violet Butterfly, we called it quits when the shop across the street opened for business this morning. Will be back.
Was finally going to give this one a go today, but pulled up to GZ and there was someone sitting in a truck right next to the search zone. I did things on my phone for at least 10 minutes but they showed no signs of moving, so flagged the search for a different day...
On a trip for luncheon with old friends at Greytown and picking up a few caches on the way today. I searched for this cache with no avail just found alot of rubbish every around ground Zero. I also took a photo of the ple(a)sant little stream running nearby.
I wanted to find a cache for a dot day and this was the closest unfound cache to home, so off we went. Sadly the cream tea place over the road wasn't open, so we had to be content with first inspecting the stream and then searching for the cache. The GPSr seemed to be wandering quite a lot: the big pines over the road were playing havoc with it, so it wasn't much use in trying to pin down a location for GZ. So I resorted to using the hint to narrow down my search area. After we had inspected some easy to get at spots I noticed a sort of Geotrail to a not so easy to get at spot that certainly matched the hint and had a look there. It didn't take long to spot the rather small cache (though not the smallest I've found), more or less what I was expecting to find. Signed the log and replaced cache with Mrs B telling me to hurry up as there was a muggle approaching. Made it in time. Phew .
Given the size and nature of the cache, as well as its hiding place, I'm not surprised there have been so many DNFs for this one, especially from people new to Geocaching. This isn't one for a newbie. TFTC C W, a good challenge.

Found it with Team FIN [janahola, kapeka, laalaa & temyllyl]
We had fun with caching few weeks here in New Zealand. Lots of geocaches and many sort of them too. We saw awesome places, weather was pretty good all the time and people were friendly and polite. Caches were pretty similar like in our home country. Of course there were some exeptions. Nice and really scenary country!

Thanks for the cache.

Thanks for the cache.
On a geoholiday road tripping to Christchurch MEGA and around beautiful New Zealand. Our four people group (temyllyl, laalaa, kapeka and myself) from Finland used group tag FIN to log the caches.
Welcome to MEGA Finland in 5-7 august 2016!
Today we drove from Wellington to Masterton. We saw many nice places and caches. Thanks for the cache!

13th day on our geo-roadtrip in New Zealand, and caching our way towards north. Logged using our group nickname FIN with janahola, laalaa and kapeka. After having a blast in South Island and in Christchurch Mega event, we had to start heading back home. Fortunately we still had few days left to spend in NZ while driving to Auckland.
I had many reasons to dislike this cache. Above all, for a long time, it was my closest unfound cache to home. Eventually, I got rid of that problem by moving residence .
I had been here before a couple of times but been thwarted by muggle and vegetation issues. I have also driven past many other times but opted not to bother to search.
A recent log referred to trimming of foliage and today I remembered to check things out as I drove past to go to Tunnel Gully. Indeed, it seemed as though searching would be considerably easier. On my return, I stopped and was surprised the vines were nothing like they used to be. Even though I had correctly figured out the likely container type, it still took me a few minutes to find the cache. I am really pleased to finally convert this to a .

We were unsuccessful at this one today. I may bring some gardening gloves next time I search for it.
#1244. I was up at Kaitoke today and decided to pick up a couple of caches on the way back to the city. I had previously looked at this one a few months ago. It was a bit too muggly at the time and with no quick find and two previous DNFs I decided to move on to easier spoils. This time it was all quiet at the GZ and I had more time to search. Nothing seen in the first place checked but spotted it in the second place. Certainly it is pretty small and easy to miss. Removed the log and signed in the car. Then returned as found after checking no muggles were in view. A nice wee container. TFTC
A short trip away with tmann421 and Princess-Emily. Collected a few of these local caches before heading North.
Second visit to this one and nice to add a smiley.

Thanks do much, hard to believe we park next yo it every morning dropping kids at bus
What a little gem. Even at midnight there were a lot of cars and two pedestrians!! TFTC
Despite searching for some time, and having a good idea of the type of cache, and even resorting to using a torch, we failed to find this cache.
Thought this would be a quick one to finish up with, but looked for some time and couldn't find it. In the end we had to give up because a muggle came by and looked very suspiciously and disapprovingly at us!
We will be back.

Coming back over the Rimutakas after a long day in the 'Rapa, and I remembered this wee 'nemesis' cache that I have failed on numerous occasions to find either due to too many muggles, bad weather, or simply poor observation. Decided on a quiet Easter Friday night, with a headlamp to hand, this might be a good chance to search. Lo and behold the foliage had been well trimmed back since my previous visits, and the cache was soon to hand. Hallelujah!!! Finally turned the green box into a smiley.
A nice way to finish at 9:30pm, after another long day, and around 300km along gravel roads, but fantastic autumn weather. Great way to spend Easter Friday.

This was the last of five for the day, after a shortish walk in the park at the end of the road followed by tea at the nearby homestead. A great afternoon! The cache itself took us a while to find ... I had a hunch as to what we were looking for (later confirmed by previous logs, which we read in desperation for further intel), but I couldn't actually find the container. Cassie2010 then braved the vines and eventually located the goods! Tftc.
Woooo! Lil bugger!! Found at 10:20pm (i actually got tangled in the vines.....)
Pleased to have located this wee treasure as it was quite elusive last time I passed by and searched. TFTC
Needed the clue and great little cache, certainly attracted a bit of interest from the quilters over the road as the 3 of us tackled the vines
Find number 18 of a personal daily best of 30.
I had a look around and found the little blighter easily enough. I thought it was attached to what it was hanging from so got myself into an uncomfortable position to unscrew the container in place. After signing and reinserting the log I discovered it was just hanging there so it made life easier to put back together. TFTC

Had a good crawl around looking up. No luck. Ground well trampled suggesting others had been looking in same spot.
Despite a bypassing jogger hinting that "it's hanging in the bushes" couldn't find it. 3 pairs of eyes tried for about 15mins then gave up. Bought some nice tea though
Continuing the winter season of caching on a very pleasant Saturday.
Enthused by recent log activity we re-visited. As luck would have it all things came clear and the cache was found this time. Goody!
All in order, log signed, safely re-hidden.
TFTC found with team cacher Sweet P too
The Turtle strikes again!
Pleased to be taking this one off the DNF list.

After seeing wbond's successful log, I was determined to get this one off the unfound list. Reasonably quick find in large part to the newly regenerated geotrail and a fair idea of the container type after a similar find recently. Tftc.
This one had eluded me on my last four visits, however this time I was determined to find it. I think the vines may have grown significantly since this cache was placed.
It is still there, and several log spots remain.

I'd say not here...
But then I've been known to be proven wrong in these matters.
Nice little hideaway.
Suggest CO goes and checks out the very clever "little" hide

Couldnt find - may have to try again - good excuse to have a devonshire tea! Its worth it.
Quite a bit of scratching about in the dark with this one.
Got there in the end!
It's been lonely for a while, and in think gets me passed the lonely cache challenge. Yay.

Had done another one of these last weekend, so knew what to look for.
Still took a while before I clicked as to where to look.

1Grunta did the hard work - I supplied the pen and told him when the coast was clear ! TFTC.
JDSavannah bought tea and honey from the nearby providore whilst Muggins did the hands and needs caper. TFTC
Found on our travels to the Wairarapa today. Thanks to all the CO's for taking us to so many interesting places. TFTC
Read logs, found gz, but it took some eagle eyes from the footpath, till we finally spotted gold. TFTC
After a few minutes of fruitless searching metal-art spotted cache which was retrieved by me being the smaller person. Another encounter with Muggle Walking Dog but not noticed by him this time thank goodness, we were starting to get some sideways looks for constant loitering.
have and this one to my DNF list we will be back

Perhaps it was the failing light, perhaps it was the painful prickles..either way, will go back and try again another time.
On hands and knees and still could not find it on first attempt, got a little help from a much more agile friend...check the fence.

We were not looking forward to having a 3rd go at this one but as it turned out all we needed was 11 year old eyes!

#2532. Many muggles made searching tricky. Info from past logs was helpful, and eventually I spotted it. Nice hide. TFTC.
We had a wee look, but seemed to be attracting attention of people over the road, so stopped searching and read past logs, trying to look unthreatening. We wondered whether we should walk on to Beechwood Bridge and return to afterwards, when the inquisitive muggles left, so back to the search.
StreetWalker soon winkled it out.

Felt a bit dodgy crawling in to get this one, but luckily it was a quick retrieval. TFTC
Met up with Buttels and Fozzmiester along with a muggle and did a few caches in the area.. Thanks to Fozzmiesters good eyes the cache was spotted.. Hope the tree nearby lasts as I heard it crack whilst looking for the cache.
Arrived at the gz to find CrystalFairy and a muggle friend already searching. Crawled under a tree where the gps was pointing and quickly had the cache in hand. TFTC
