Upon arriving my daughter Dayna stepped out of the car and got bitten by an unseen ant or insect, we couldnt see the culprit that slipped under her thong strap and left a good sized lump and bite mark, by the size of the mark left I wrekon a big soldier/bull ant got her, but she bravely come over to the group area with me, I quickly signed log and went for a walk round the lake and took a few photo's, think I missed out on cup-cakes by the sound bugger, we slipped away pretty quickly and quitely went home which turned out to be just a 5min drive away, will definately be taking the rod's back out for a fish.. was a lovely spot..

lol, i also think i signed log with 2010 instead of 2011 not sure, such a goose, will post a photo when computer is running fast, its in slo mo currently..

2078 ...
Landsergruppe ...What more could an event need, great weather, great company and great gumboots as well!!!
Thanks Crisp Image for a great day's entertainment

Trunksnsuch ... I've been hesitant to log this one as it's also my goodbye to "my" Event - it's now safely in the hands of Crisp Image, who I've taught well if the event this year is anything to go by. My thanks to Mrs Crisp Image for the spectacular geocaching muffins - I knew you were a good cook but they certainly deserved the oohs and ahhs that they got. Mrs grey nomads certainly did a lot of work too in her preparations of the gumboot toss awards which were a hoot - as was the competition (from the one who couldn't toss one to save herself). Thanks guys for picking up the slack when I dropped me bucket. I will return ... er, but as a participant, not as an organiser.

A great event. Spladem and I started the day early after a late night grabbing some FTF's in our local area and 3 hours sleep. We arrived around 12 and stayed till the last to leave since the company was so good. It was great to catch up with new faces and friends. We where enjoying ourself's so much we did not notice the time fly and the crowed drop to only a few and before we knew it, it was all over. Can't wait for the next one. Thank for a great event.

I was down at Phillip Island for a couple of days, and this was (sort of) on the way home. Seeing Crisp Image was going to turn up to this one, I figured the least I could do was attend too! Smile
Loverly day to stand around and chat to new and old friends.
Thanks, Robmc.

23-Jan-11
A terrific day. Met heaps of old friends and made new ones, that also enjoy chasing plastic boxes.
Thanks for getting this one up and running once again, Crispy.

This was our second Gippsland Meet & Greet and as the first was so much fun we just had to attend. M and S loved the gumboot toss with S taking out the childrens prize. Met up with some old friends and discovered a few new ones, who I can almost call neighbors. You just never know who you live near. Thanks Crisp Image for the weather, the wonderful event and the cupcakes. KeMS

We arrived a little late, but that's OK, we stayed later too. Great to catch up with everyone - it was a beautiful day for it. The gumboot throwing was a hit, thanks for the fun.

23-Jan-11
Peter & Marian came along from Ferny Creek not far enough the get the furthermost traveled. An excellent day to greet old friends and meet new ones, the gumboot tossing was a hoot congrats to all the winners, there was a special to the thrower that managed to stand the boot up. Thanks to Crisp Image & Friends.

Very pleasant afternoon in the sunshine

23-Jan-11
My thanks to Crisp Image and others for running the event. I'm finding these get togethers are good fun and no-one thinks your weird for chasing plastic in the bush. I must try to get around and talk to more cachers instead of becoming obsessed when a couple of maps appear. Still plotting and planning is a fun part of the game. Will be looking out for the next one.

23-Jan-11
Many thanks for the great time, even though we had to depart early for miss almost two's afternoon nap. Was great to place some names to faces, albeit briefly in some cases! Thanks again for your hospitality and for organising the event.

Through a combination of just sheer being slack, and then totally misjudging the time to get there, I turned up to this one late. Fortunately it wasn't a flash mob (non)event, everyone was still there and I enjoyed some good company as usual.

Many thanks to Crisp Image et al for organising this one again - great to see some of the new teams as well.

23-Jan-11
Thanks Crisp image for putting on the event.
We were disappointed that we missed the recent event season as we were caching in Tasmania, so this was on the radar.
As usual we were a bit shy as we didn't see anyone we knew. However, Gonefishin07 and her nerdy accomplice (Hearse068) approached and introduced themselves. Then we were talking to squalid, C@H, Spladem, Mary, Monchs mob and on it goes. You bunch are terrific and made Deb and I very welcome. Thanks so much.

Mary & David were there. Our second Gippsland Event, and just as enjoyable as the one last year. Again we came for a couple of days to sample the latest of the local caches. As always, we enjoyed chatting to old friends and to new ones. After a few spots of rain yesterday, the day turned out to be fine and even a bit warm. The gum boot throwing was great sport for participants and spectators alike - congratulations to the winners. Our thanks to Crisp image and friends for hosting this very successful Event. Hope to see you all again next year.

23-Jan-11
Smile attended with Hearse068, thanks to crisp image, greynomads and all your helper for organising today. We will all have to practise our gumboot throwing for next time. It was great to meet everybody today some we met at the last event we attended and some new one's today. It is always good to put names to faces. Have picked up some handy hints today which is always good. Thanks again and hope to see you next year.

I was late to arrive but - Yes I made it!!
Drove back from Croydon North to attend after doing the "wedding thing for youngest son" near the big smoke yesterday. I had to pedal pretty hard to manage to attend the "Meet and Greet" and then Ladybug was unwell so I had to leave her at home. Perhaps I should have been awarded the prize for the team having travelled the furthest???
I really enjoyed chatting to locals who have become friends, some new ones and many of the "familiar names" from further afield. Thanks to Crispy and any others involved in planning a great day. And as Arnie said "I'll be back" next year. A special thanks to "Mrs Crisp" for the sensational and special Geocaching cakes - like none I've ever seen before! (No, that does not mean they were burnt or crisp, just very different and delicious!)
Thanks again for a fun day. K.I. Bug (Half of?)

Really great to drop by on our way to Lakes Entrance and meet up with fellow cachers. Had a great time chatting, and will be sending Maccamob and Greynomad details of the wooden nickels. A lovely setting for the event, and we'll definitely be looking for Greynomad caches in Lakes Entrance. Exchanged some trackables ... Cheers from Jinky and John!

Sorry we can't be there this year, got a commitment elswhere that we really have to meet. So just want to wish old and new attendees the usual sociable time and say G'day to all the folks we have met at this Event in the last two years and elsewhere.
BTW, is the word getting around about the early planning for the the next Oz Mega in 2012? See http://forum.geocaching.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=15449&p=169143&hilit=launching+oz+mega+adventure#p169143 If the link's not working, it's in the GCA Forum, General Chitchat, titled Launching Oz Mega Adventure. We are excited already!
