Team Soupbones

This geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).

I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.

Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache.

If you plan on repairing this cache, please log a note to the cache (not email) within the next 28 days so I don't archive the listing for non-communication.

Today I teamed up again with marj01 for another day of caching, this time around the Narellan/Camden/Cobbity areas. We had a very enjoyable and adventurous day visiting the cache locations, finding a heap of hides but also a few DNF's along the way.
Took awhile but got there in the end. TFTC.

Had been wanting to find this one for a while now. Was in the area for a birthday skating party and being a Sunday the factories were closed so it was perfect. Took us a while with a jumpy GPS but finally I spotted as the kids were getting restless. Signed and all in place, Shame about the rubbish around. TFTC

Good hide. Alls well with the cache. Found with Langley Boys.

26-May-18
GPS bouncing around but soon spotted. As previous, if the owner is still around, needs a new log paper. Had to scribble over what looked like faded out previous signatures!

Caching has taking me to many beautiful and interesting places. This was not one of them. The area is covered in rubbish and smells dreadful. Searched reluctantly, but without success.

Stayed for about half an hour and looked everywhere still couldn't find please check if it's there.

28-Nov-17
Heading up to sydney for an interview for a new job (fingers crossed) and couldnt resist the urge to grab some caches along the way. Left a few hours early to ensure i had time to grab a small handful along the way.

Logbook is full so did my best to sign it.

Came down to get my guitar amp repaired. had to wait until 11, so some caching had to be done.

19-Aug-17
Due to a day full of fence repairs I wasn't able to attend an event or go geocaching with friends today. So my best effort at celebrating IGD was to pick up a single cache on a detour while picking up takeaway dinner.

This seemed like a good choice for nighttime, and I found it soon enough. In fact it was one of those caches where, due to the darkness, it took longer to sign the log. Also due to the darkness, it took longer to find the spot to return it to. Nonetheless I have found a cache.

The logbook is full, and I'm not the first person to write their name where someone else's has faded away.

19-Aug-17
This geocacher reported that the logbook is full.

The gps took me on a little walk which was strange out in the open but it was not too hard to find as it is obvious in the location. TFTC

TFTC. #297 and 10th of 13 finds today. This scorching hot day is our one year caching anniversary and we were determined to get our 300th find today. No muggles around today, on the weekend. Took a little while as co-ords were bouncy, but luckily the container eventually came into view! Thanks for this one Team Soupbones

#3262 (5 of 7 today)

Decided to travel down south today for a bit of cache plundering. The main problem was the further south I went the worse the rain got - actually I suspect it was just the fact the rain was developing during the afternoon.
Went for eight today, and found seven. Probably would have gone for more if not for the wet, and tried to pick targets that would keep me as dry as possible.
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
Well, this one took a while to spot, but so obvious once you do.
Moved between the trees and was looking for the right thing, but still...

20 minutes later my shoes, socks and pants cuffs were saturated by the long, wet grass. The rest of me stayed pretty dry, though.
Completed signing duties and replaced. Then squelched back to *The Hademobile* and on to my next target.

Took us a while to spot this one. Was looking in the wrong tree at first. Once we had widened our search to another tree, the cache was soon spotted. Thankfully no black snakes spotted today. TFTC Smile

I'll have to return with the Mrs, she's better than me at these types of caches.

This was our second attempt to find this cache. After a few minutes, there it was. Why didn't we see it the first time? TFTC

At the moment I'm on a work and travel backpacking trip through the world. Most of the first two years I'll spend in Australia and I'm trying to solve my 365 days of caching challenge during this trip. The chance of having a moving home zone should be taken, as it will make the challenge so much easier.

This one was a quick and easy find, even with a few muggles around. After some waiting I good a good moment and the box.

TFTC and greetings from Germany

It did take a while....could not get a decent fix on GZ. TFTF.

03-Aug-14
First crack at this one and no luck. Came on a Sunday afternoon and the area was completely void of muggles. Grass is nice and short around GZ so no problems with snakes, but couldn't get decent fix on GPS to narrow down the spot.

19-Jul-14
Great to get a DNF off the list. Nice hide. Coordinates were spot on with my GPS. Went on a Sunday and no muggles around. TFTC. I saw the photos of the cache so I was looking for something else. Then noticed the hide.

This is the fourth time with been to this cache. Finally found it thanks for the hide. It was in plain sight the whole time.

31-Oct-13
Definitely one of the dodgier caches I've found. The mapping of the causeway is a bit off so I walked around it for nothing. Not a good cache for kids or for those scared of a possible snake.

18-Oct-13
I was in the Grange to pick up some gear and a quote for work at the hospital. Always try to pick one up while in a new area. Time of day made it safer for curious neighbours and that worked out well. Walked over and was half looking for black snakes and half on a cache to notice it in plain site. Did the duties and made my way into the traffic and home.

No snakes today, and this sneaky one took me a little while. No muggles in evidence, although a strange red herring in the tree that I looked at a few times in case it was the cache, but it wasn't. I'd just given up and there it was in plain sight. TFTC!

09-Jul-13
We were almost at GZ when I read teh cache notes & saw the comment about the black snack. So we turned around and went back to the car.

It is always a good feeling when you find a Team Soupbones hide. This one didn't take long. Picked a good day to look for this one, the GZ was very quiet (Sunday afternoon). I did feel something tickling my hand and looked down to find a new spider friend crawling up my arm! Another challenge was trying to put this cache back... I might start caching with a step soon just in case!

Had recon’d the area earlier in the year when a lot more rubbish littered the area and I become nervous of the wildlife. Area cleaner today and a revised hiding method quickly spotted. Felt as low as a snake trying to retrieve it though.

16-Aug-12
Found with my buddies at lunch, nice hide! No muggles, but unfortunately no pen either :-/

15-Aug-12
No muggles today and we could the area near GZ has changed a little since we tried for this a while back but had to pull out due to muggles. Once at GZ we had plently of options but something we had read caused us to look for a hide of a different sort like we have seen at some other caches. We carefully waited for the GPSr to settle so we could get closer to the spot to start. It still took us too long but it did turn out to be what we thought it might be. We completed the signing duties and replaced. TFTC

I've been mocked by this little cache long enough. After some encouragement from the CO to try again I decided I had to give this one another go. It's in my local area and it pained me that it was my closest unfound cache to home. Well no more! I approached GZ as I had so many times before. I stood on the exact spot given as I had so many times before and out of the corner of my eye I glimpsed it. I'm very happy to finally be able to cross this one off the list. Now the closest unfound to home is another soupbones micro 'Silos of Old' *sigh*
