While out with my bush walking club we took in this lovely view. Nice easy find. Cache in excellent condition. Found TB but cannot find it on the system J29043. Thanks teamaky for the cache.
Beautiful view and the cold wet weather meant there was no one else around giving us the chance to take our time finding this one. TFTC
Found it , amazing view from up here. Found a quality cache in good condition. Tftc
Walked from Gunners cottage to the end and found this on the way back. Absolutely beautiful spot. No one in sight. TFTC
Good find and well maintained. Had a great day out walking around POINTNEPEAN. Thanks for the Cache and leading is here.
Having a few days on the peninsula so searched out some caches. Earlier in the day was a good time to cache as the muggles were few. I had GZ to myself and after some gymnastics, spotted the container. All in good dry condition. TFTC TeamOaky
A beautiful spot and fascinating story of our past prime minister. Intriguing. tftc
Found with Bogonghazy.whist having a weeks break in Rye. Thanks for placing the geocache
I grew up down here but had never been to this particular spot, thanks for bringing me here! A bit trickier than I hoped for!
First find for the day...I couldn't for the life of me find it and then as usual, BlueBM wandered over and had it.....drat that man! TFTC
We were in Frankston today picking up our new Geomobile, Rogue (our second geomobile named after an X-Men character).
We had some time to fill in between test driving, going to the bank to pick up a bank cheque and the dealer getting the car ready for us. So what do you do? You go geocaching in an area you don't often visit.
Once we had the Geomobile, it was a case of will we make it to the ferry on time. Short answer, NO!
What to do, what to do.
We quickly headed down to find a few caches.
And in doing so, we missed the next one as well. Not that we minded, as we picked up a few we had on our wanting-to-find list.
Thank you for this Traditional cache TeamOaky.

My mission this morning is that of being the first to travel on two new adventure labs and solve their precious mysteries. I've succeeded with half so far. To find this traddy along the way is a great bonus for me. Too long was it a blue frown on my map. Thank you TeamOaky for adding happiness to my already great day and a little reflection and shout out to Harold Holt's family and friends.
Hello Team?aky thank you for the cache
This one had me looking in the wrong spot before I went back to where I thought it should be where it was quickly found.
This was one of many caches found on our way to Newcastle to see our grand children.

Brought grandsons age 6 & 4 to Point Nepean for a hike. Came and found this cache on the way. TFTC
Due to unforeseen circumstances Mr Smokey Bear will no longer be a part of Team Smokey Bear and will continue his adventures as "SmokeyBearOG".
So I'm relogging all previous finds under my new account.
Unfortunately this log will not show the original logging date.
**Thanks to Team?aky for this adventure, looking forward to many more.**

Nice easy find on our weekend exploring Point Nepean. What a great area this is to explore. Well worth the walkTftc
Headed down the Mornington Peninsula, even though the weather looked a bit dodgy today. Said to my geo-PIC (partner-in-crime) Snips and Co that I'd like to get some caches I'd had my eye on and any nominated for the Cache of the Year awards.
This was found after puffing our way up to the lookout. Wonderful views!
Thanks to the CO for placing for our enjoyment.
TNLN Signed log as SALTECO, Snips and Co, LetThemEatCache, LTEC or something inbetween.

Loved the walk and the views! Fantastic spot.
When I moved to Melbourne I was always amused by the pool we swam at as it was named after this Prime Minister. Coming down (up!) here was an eye opener – what a treacherous cove for swimmers. Say no more. Amazing views on this glorious spring day – thanks for bringing me here TeamOaky, I've really enjoyed the trek, the views and of course, finding the cache. This is what it's all about!
Found at 2.10pm. A lovely uphill walk to a stunning view of a wild windswept coast. No wonder it is so dangerous. A quick look at the gun emplacements and then onto the rifle range.

Great location and well deserved break at the top. Cache was well hidden. Geocords are a little off and wanted me to go over the fence but I knew better. A brief look around and soon had the cache in hand. Well hidden from sight. Cache is a little damp due to the last rains and the logbook was easily signed. Room for swaps and drops. No TB's in cache. TNLN TFTH TFTC. Cache hidden ready for the next adventurer. Fav point awarded. Thanks TeamOaky.
Looked for a good 30minutes. Not sure how to get to it as fenced off. Could not see from steps. Looking 3/4 steps down
Even though it's a remote area, of course another group was right behind us for the climb! We had a bit of a chat about Holt and they headed off while we stuck around
Once the coast was clear, a quick find! TFTC

We haven’t been able to find a cache in a while since being in lockdown. What a great find on our adventure to fort Nepean. Tftc
Holt!!! Who goes there! What a view! Bit of a hike to get there but we'll worth it!
Second cache for the day here, making use of my 25km lockdown radius. Haven't been to this lookout since the mid 90s on a high school geography trip from Mentone. Tftc
With Steve on annual leave this week, we packed up the bikes and headed to Point Nepean. It’s been a few years since our last visit and with perfect weather and very few muggles about, we had a fantastic day.
We did the steep ride till the steps, then while I stayed behind to keep an eye on them, Steve climbed the stairs to look for the cache. 15 minutes later after not finding it, he bought both bikes up so we could look together. As usually the way, Steve made the find as soon as he got back. Spent some time enjoying the magnificent views, then headed off to our next target.
Thank you Team Oaky. I’ve always found the disappearance of Harold Holt very interesting.

Had a look around but due to time constraints & approaching muggles didn’t manage to find it.
Found it with geocousins! We took the traceable and we’ll pop him in another cache later today
45 mins until Bush Kindi finishes, should be plenty of time. So I take my scooter (!) and head towards the cache. And as I'm panting up the hill I'm thinking 'what's this noise?' and oh no! Muggle drone!
Anyway, gorgeous spot, stunning views and I'll be back!...

Sorry for the belated log. I figured being at home during this crazy time, there was no excuse not to log caches. I'm rather lazy with logging but then at the same time, I'm not because once I eventually get around to logging them, I end up writing a log even I'd be happy seeing on my own caches! Anyway, my buddy and I took our bikes along point nepean. On return to the car park, I had to park my bike, being a racer and all and not suitable for gravel, while my buddy was able to take his trail bike up. Already knackered from riding, it was quite a steep climb to GZ, but well worth it! With no others around and not having read the description properly, I jumped over to where I thought the cache may be and searched with no luck. Then common caching sense occurred to me and I realised just the place it could be and had the cache in hand. All signed and returned safely.
Where did you go Harold Holt? It's a bit like those Alcatraz escapees... got into the water and were never seen again. Thanks for the fun TeamOaky.

I'm currently training for a long hike, so the walk up this hill was not so easy with 13kg on my back! But it was certainly worth it for the views and the geocache. There was no one at the top when we arrived, so the search was easy. We had a look around the bunkers, and then headed down to continue to Fort Nepean. It was somewhat unsettling to see "Unexploded Bombs!" signs all over the place. TFTC
After a search which was a little longer than it should have been, the cache was in hand. Great history. Tftc
Found at 2:26 PM GAFF3.
Bill Bryson the American journalist/author said in his "Downunder" book about Australia - "now come on - how can you lose a Prime Minister!"
Rode the bike as far as the steps and then a bit of a walk up to the lookout. Fantastic view below and the sea was quite agitated - maybe as bad as when Holt disappeared?
Wow imagine all of the effort to bring materials up here for the gun placements!
Thanks Team?aky

Found the cache and did the Harold Holt. Interesting to read the memorial further along the coast. TFTC
Found on our return circuit hike out to Point Nepean. Wonderful views. Picked up a TB. Good one for my 1300th Cache.
Hired a Ebike and quickly rode to point nepean excellent place to explore... TFTC
I had to leave my bike at the bottom of the hill here. I had no idea, as I am clueless about these things, that there'd be a need to lock it up. But with a handy shelter to hide it behind, not that I was that concerned about tourist knocking off a - well let's say, less than expensive bike. But one must be diligent in the face of the unknown.
The trek up for this adventurer was a difficult one, as I am just discovering what it means to become lean, and I am far from it yet! I loved discovering the bunkers on this hill, it must have been some frightening times. It was a pity to see that some felt the need to scratch their names in the cement, unless it was diggers past, but I have doubts.
The cache was an easy locate in a suitable location, no jumping fences or any other antics. Left a TB to continue on. Thanks for taking me here, another location that'd I'd never had gone to otherwise, and being an army brat it was a good thing I did!

Current visiting my sister in Melbourne, perfect weather for a daytrip to Fort Nepean, hiking and some geocaches.

The Staff at work had our Christmas party here, and all headed off in different directions for walks and bike rides. I led a little geocaching party of seven. This was the third of five caches we found during our long walk! We were well and truly ready for lunch by the time we returned
Thanks for the cache, TeamOaky

What an amazing spot. If you have cameras that can do 360 panoras bring them with you.
A gorgeous spot and a gorgeous day to be in it. The cache wasn't too easy to find but a bit of sluthing had it in hand without too much trouble. The kids are still tolerating me dragging them along caching so we are good to go
Today we were out and about Point Nepean to grab some Bay Trail caches along with a few others on the way. For this, the bikes were needed which we haven't used since... last Bay Trail. It's a beautiful route with views left, right and centre, and with some stunning caches along the way, the day couldn't have been better! Thanks to all cache owners involved in making this area of the Peninsula amazing.

An interesting concept for a cache hide here, and one that's certainly kept the muggles away. Well done TeamOaky! Interesting events have definitely occurred for Mr Holt. Thanks for a ripper of a cache!

Found on the first day of my ‘week of day hikes challenge’. It’s great to have caches along the way! A great location for a cache here and I really enjoyed the information on the cache page. I don’t understand why anyone would swim here when just over the other side is a beautiful calm beach! Poor Holt. I spent some time here, thinking about the ship wreck and the missing PM. Then I searched for the cache but it took me a minute to locate. Came up with it, exactly where I’d first checked but missed it, after a few minutes. Thanks for the cache!
