Unfortunately, this has sucumbed to the attack of the council mower.
I shall have to archive it. Shame.

Cache has been muggled found the location and the pen on the ground. No front cover on it now either. Hopefully CO will redo shortly!!!
Was passing thru the Laverton area so I decided to pick up a few caches. Good coords took me right to it but it took a minute of head scratching before I discovered the very cool hide. Great work on the camo!

#3422 We arrived at the worst possible time - at the end of a Sunday market when people were leaving the area in fits and starts. We parked the NinjaGolf as close to GZ as possible for caching coverage & had to time our retrieval and replacement between muggle alerts. A fabulous job on the camo - well done Scubacrazy66
Nicely done. Cache was easy to find but is unlikely to be muggled and it certainly is a driveby.
A fave from me.
thanks Scubacrazy666

Took a muggle family caching today after promising to for over a year. They are now cachers! Welcome to caching Tretamrosie!
TFTC scubacrazy666. A lot of work! Nice to be able to find so many different types of caches to show them what to look for!

We spotted something as we did a U-turn to park alongside. Sure enough it was the cache - nicely constructed Scubacrazy666. We left a new bag for the log. TFTC.
A well constructed cache. I did driveby looking for a park and trying to sight where it might be but it had me fooled right till the GPS said just 2m away. Thanks Scubacrazy666

Too close to our route home to ignore. Drove past it from the east, turned around and parked by the old, familiar sign, then checked the GPS... which showed a big fat zero. I've parked bikes almost on top of a cache before, but not the car.
Out of the vehicle, the clever camo was quickly recognised. Good work.
The baggie has split, and the log is damp.

This was a weird find. We were driving along and missed the spot, as it was on the other side of the road. So we drove up to the next set of lights to do a u-turn. The car in front of us did a u-turn also, nothing unusual about that. The unusual thing was it pulled over right near gz. Another cacher? No, turns out they wanted to do another u-turn. So we waited for them, but they must have been waiting for us. After a while they crept out onto the road and drove very slowly about 50m, then pulled over again and indicated to do a u-turn. We grabbed the cache, and drove off. They u-turned and drove back past the cache to the set of lights and proceeded to do another u-turn, drive back past gz and do another u-turn. Weird. Anyway, clever hide. Tftc.
What a great hide! I miss Drive-Ins 8-(

By chance I parked right in front of gz, and was hidden from the passing traffic. My council worker disguise helped too.
Nice work on the container.

Made a weekend attempt but late enough that the only signs of the earlier markets was LOTS of rubbish. Nice container. Thanks.
The ageing Bushfire decided to grab a few more caches between Geelong and the West Gate Bridge today and this was the first. A lot of thought and effort has gone into this cache so well done on a very good cache. Thanks to Scubacrazy666 for placing this cache.
This cache was the eleventh cache of around 20 today testing out the new hiking boots.
I have been eyeing this cache off for a while due to it's number of favourite points but today as we arrived on site, there were a thousand and one muggles about! The Trash and Treasure market was in full swing which made it a bit difficult to find. I managed to find and replace the cache without anyone seeing me and on our way out 30mins later, it was all in place. We went into the market for a little look around and ended up eating lunch there. Thanks Scubacrazy666, very clever hide

what a clever/neat little hide - quite obvious but I think that has more to do with having seen a lot of all manner of hides and I am more used to looking for the out of place.
This is an interesting place and quite sad in a way to see what the area has come too. I am sure that lots of people have very happy memories of this drive in and now look at it.
Thanks for bringing me here

Excellent camo - like it... Signed the log with Crank1. Very busy today due to Market... Thanks Scubacrazy666.
I have driven past here many times and never stopped. Today I had a few moments and I parked right near where the GPS wanted me. Then I looked down and noticed what was a little out of place. Soon I had the cache in hand. A nice little hide. TFTC
After spending the two previous days walking around Melbourne doing caches it was nice to get out of town and not to have to do so much walking. So visiting WA cachers richlink travelled in our direction and we headed off from the Werribee south caravan park to do some caching. Later in the day we found ourselves heading into the Altona area and this proved to be good as we found some of our favourite caches. Clever hide thanks scubacrazy666
Travelled by train to Werribee to spend the day caching with Liz and Bruce around the area.
Very nice camo job.
Very nice camo job.
Excellent hide/container - very boldly placed BUT wouldn't have it any other way. The perfect drive-by on the way home from Ballarat.
Thx Scubacrazy for an awesome hide

Mr tatts loved the cammo job with this cache. Would have been great to see a movie here when it was in full swing, but technology has taken over Had to use the car as cover, as the road was very busy and there were road works a few meters up the road. This is our third cache on our way to the mega event. TFTC
We had come over to this side of own on our (ongoing) quest to eventually find the Top 50 most favourited caches in Victoria. We had had a great day with only one DNF so far and were now starting to head towards home and decided to grab this one on the way.
We think this is brilliant for your first hide and will award a fave point when we get our next one as we have used our last 6 on the brilliant caches we found already today (we're due for another one very soon)

Nicely hidden cache. It was the obvious place to check and was thus an easy find, but it was very well done. Thanks for the cache.

My second drive in cache. I suppose many people my age feel nostalgia for drive-ins and I'm pleased to see the sign is still there. TFTC
I probably should have followed the SatNav's instructions to take the freeway to this one but no matter. Once at GZ the cleverly done cache hide was a quick find even without the hint, thanks Scubacrazy. I well remember the twin drive-in near us as a younger man.
Wish Drive-In back again.

After grabbing the mad max one, drove to grab this one as well. Drove just past GZ, then a uturn awhere I saw a potential hide so parked right next to it. Jumped out of the car without the GPSr and found the well constructed hide! Thanks to Scubacrazy666 for the clever hide and for putting a cache here. I like how the old Village drive in signs are still here!
Was on the way back home after an day out caching and passed right by this one. Couldn't resist the temptation and pulled over to check out a certain object, using the car to screen me. Thanks Scubacrazy666 for a great cache.
Found fairly easily. Spotted something unusual, and decided that was it!! Well done for a first hide.
On my way to Werribee to visit my God Daughter. Normally I travel over on Sunday to visit the family so this cache has not been possible. I have visited this market in the past.
Today I drove straight up to the cache as it stood out as adnormal. It is a good hide in such an open spot.

8/10/11 6:57 PM Find #487 - I like this sneaky cache very clever. I didn't get much of a chance to do some caching today so here I am back out here to grab a few I've missed and this is the right time for this cache as every other time I've come past here there's been thousands of people about. Signed and replaced. TFTC.
It was dark by the time we reached GZ. The traffic was still pretty heavy, but we managed to find this one without wasting too much time. Cunning hide

Impressive first hide. Drive Ins do bring back memories. I hadn't been to this one though. Great clue and thanks for the cache.
One of 42 with Trailrunning and jsmyong55. A great night out with these two hard-core cachers. A great hide. Seen a few like this now but always get fooled on first blush. TFTC.
Tonight I was out with caching buddies jsmyong55 and The Physics Teacher. After meeting at Swinburne we took the West Gate Freeway to head out to Williamstown to pick up a few DNF’s from last week as well as continue on. The weather kept clear for us, but the wind was biting.
We had 41 caches on the list, and while we pulled up stumps at cache 33 we did bag a number on the way back to Hawthorn so that the Physics Teacher could get over 40 caches for the night. J and I had already collected these. Not bad in 6.5 hours.
This is the last cache for me tonight, but not the last for TFT. Anyway after searching the wrong spot, my torch crosses something and rests on teh object, while jsmyong55 works it out and is signing the log shortly after. Thanks Scubacrazy666 for a well constructed cache.

Monday night seems to be a usual run for trailrunning and I nowadays. This time, we had Physics Teacher on board with us. We met up at Swinburne to begin our run. Traffic wasn't looking as good on Westgate but we went ahead with the plan. We had 41 on our list but we called quits after it was getting late and really chilly the later it got. I must remember to bring a jacket next time. Thank goodness it didn't rain, that would only make things worst.
It was a pretty good run I must say, with 34 in the bag tonight and many more for the Physics Teacher along the way back. Not bad considering we had to walk quite a distance for some of them.
This cache was the last of our find in the area and was grabbed on the way back home. Initially, we were all looking for it in the wrong area but trailrunning and his geosense spotted another possible hiding spot. I had a fiddle with it and true enough that was the hide. Nicely constructed hide. SL and TFTC Scubacrazy666:)

I had never come here in its previous incarnation, but it is nice to see the sign still survived. No market today so a quick find.
Great cache container, but maybe not quite in the right spot.
Thanks, Robmc.

A quick find at 6 in the morning. Would be a little tricky during market days! Thanks
Last time I drove past here it was too busy to try. Tonight the place was deserted so the 4 yo helped me put this one back.
Very clever hide, and one for the memory bank for future ideas.. thanks scubacrazy for a cache that had me walking around in a circle for many minutes before trusting my GPS.. Dipped Go Go Mobile TB, and night caching coin for find #1367 - favourited
Was riding the Federation trail this morning and it is closed for repair and I diverted along Leakes Rd right past this cache. Remembered seeing it listed so had a look around, wasn't where I expected but spotted it and signed log. Nice hide, thanks.

Nearing home on the way back from today's bushwalk down at Lorne, I thought I'd break up the drive with a look for this one. I was able to park right next to GZ and quickly had the very cleverly disguised cache in hand at 19:25. What a ripper .

Coming back from a meeting with the organisers of the Avalon air show we thought that we would stop in and grab this one and commented on how we both can remember the screen's being visible from Geelong Rd. We pulled up here to find the Rubble & Riches market finished for the day and a lady was just locking the gate. After she left the GPSr was pointing at a likely location and on inspection we soon had the log book in hand.

I pulled up and the GPS pointed 2 metres that-a-way. That is the closest I have been to a cache with the GPS still in the cradle in the vehicle. The other time was a cache in Canterbury where it said 3 metres and I could literaly hold onto the vehicle's bullbar and touch the cache. I didn't even bother to remove the GPS this time, I simply took a couple of steps and there it was. Great hide for a first cache. SL Thanks Scubacrazy666

The last time I came to the site of this Drive-In was back in 1976! But I'll be darned if I can remember the film I saw with my then girlfriend - oh the memories and the 'distractions'. I do recall the Car I was driving - a Datsun 200B Sedan - well I liked the Car with cassette player and FM radio. Showing my age now. I did not find the Cache as quickly as I ought though. It was a very hot day and probably not the best for plodding and the Road was a raceway with traffic, so my brain was scrambled a bit (nothing unusual in that). So, I put the GPSr away, read the clue and bingo found the very cleverly hidden Cache, its hiding place I much appreciated for its inventiveness. Well worth the walk on a hot day! Signed the Log and discreetly put the Cache back and plodded away. Thank you to 'Scubacrazy666' for the Cache and its location, which certainly brought back memories.
I was a bit confused when I saw this cache pop up, for I thought the one over Bulleen way must have been retired and resurrected. Anyway I had a look on Google Earth, figured out roughly where it was and rode over after work. I didn't put the coordinates in my GPSr, but remembering the clue, I saw where I thought it would be straight away and made a very quick find. Nice hide, especially for a first cache!
Interesting bit of history, this one. I like the fact the sign has been retained. It's a shame there's not a drive-in here now. Thanks Scubacrazy666 (ah you've put Iron Maiden in my head with that username).

I was asked by Scubacrazy666 at a recent event if I had found his first cache placement yet.
Nope, but I would soon.
After coming back from my 1000th cache find adventure, we drove to our other favourite F&C shop.
I mentioned to the fiance, that if this shop was closed we'd have to drive past here as we can't make this a wasted drive.
It was closed!
We came past and I quickly identified the cache.
Great work on the camo! A great first cache!

Clever container, a lot of work went into its construction, even though it is a little out of place here. I am pleased the cache wasn't hidden up in the old Village sign, as there were swarms of bees up there today. Cheers!
Found by Mary & David at 0800. We did an early Christmas morning run to complete the last non-leap-year square on our 'Finds by Found Date' matrix. Nobody else about this early. We attended this drive-in a once or twice when we lived on-Base at Laverton not long before it closed. The last movie we saw there was the original 'Tron'. Loved the very professional camo. Our thanks to Scubacrazy666.

If you went in winter... You weren't really there for the movie....

Out and about with oldwinebottle trying to get cache my 400th cache by the end of the year. Had planned on doing it in a year exactly (2 days awa!) but my recent workload and the fact I've still got Christmas shopping etc to do and not much time off, has put paid to that idea.
Ha! Ha! What a cache- was glad I went to the toilet earlier or I might have had an accident as I laughed so much when I spied it.
Sooooo good to see some effort put into a hide after the run of micros we are experiencing in Ballarat- if you are bored Scubacrazy666 please take a wee trip up the road and leave us something interesting like this to look for!

I saw this one pop up but was stuck at the work break-up. It was 3 hours since it was published so I knew I was out of the race but it was on the way home from work. As themd rightly noted, I am now on holidays so keep the good quality caches coming. What's this about a retirement? Sounds like more FTFs for The Empire. Thanks Scubacrazy666 - excellent cache.

Found at 11.15pm on our way home (well sort of) from a Christmas Breakup. Just following in Scubbacrazy's footsteps - need to be crazy to be out caching at this time of night - especially when bed beckons. Thought we should check out a first hide by one of our friends. TFTC Scubbacrazy666
themd , now that you are going to retire on new years day - does the mean that all of your caching friends are invited to your retirement party on new years eve ?

2TF - As I was leaving work at 1300 this popped up but had to go in the opposite direction in which I lost about 40 min s .
On arrival at gz themed was still scratching around which was a good sign but he still spotted the cache first so congratulations to themd on the FTF and lotto ticket .
Was only just like yesterday when I used to come to the Drive In here and the speedway on the opposite corner but at least the pub is still here !
Thanks to scubacrazy666 for this quality cache and " keep em comin "

I was around Niddrie gnome napping for GCA when this came online.
Should I?? With school holidays I expected The_Empire to be all over this one and I was far away.
Why not.
So on the ring road I was on and as I approached GZ not a car in site.
MMMMM have they been and gone, usually I know the crew that wuld be hanging around for a chat, so though I was in luck.
After reading the clue I though this would be fairly easy, but no.
I'd scratched around for a couple of minutes when a familiar 4wd tore across the road.
Now the pressure was on I stood back and surveyed GZ further up and down, and was I shocked when I noticed something take my eye.
Sorry Tackle_Head but NYDay I'm retiring!!
TFTC Scubacrazy666. Love one with time and effort is placed.
