It has been another very wet summer and today was bleak and rainy again. So although I really wanted to walk this course I ended up playing most of the game online. With umbrella in hand I slooshed my way through the puddles towards the GZ. When I arrived there was a beautiful water dragon perched on top of the hiding spot. He posed and let me take a great photo but unfortunately I can't share it because it gives a bit too much away. When I got closer he ran down and hid and then stopped right next to the cache. Poor thing had nowhere to go and was probably super scared as I reached in and grabbed the cache. The wet weather has caused the cache to be covered in tree mud so I had to clean it off before I could get it open. But all is good on the inside. If this is the original container it has survived remarkably well. I returned it back to it's hiding place and left the poor lizard to have his rainy perch back. Thanks 1MinnieMoo for the fun multi cache!

Creek is in full flow at the moment. Looks like someone is sleeping rough nearby but didn't see anyone. TFTC

Solved 23/01/24 at home. Had some numbers that looked good and a likely spot for a cache. Clever puzzle to solve ! An end of month mission to meet the January requirements. The creek is pumping down here today after a weekend of rain but the cache was found nice and dry. Signed and replaced quickly as it looks like someone is living about 20 mtrs away under a tarp. TFTC.

This was a great cache, that taught me a new skill and improved my golf swing. TFTC

Found with silverfox1970 and firebatman88. Had to chat with CO as my coords were off Sad right area....wrong corner of the field Smile Found this cache as part of the Wheel of Challenges. Thanks 1minniemoo for adopting this cache. TFTC.

A nice cache, no guardian today, muggles about and stealth was needed to sign the cache.

26-Jun-23
Suppose I should do more multi’s. So this was the next to do. With a bit of maths to do I worked out the information then headed to GZ to sign the cache. Log signed and I returned the cache to it’s hiding place then home I go.
K8’n’CO thanks for placing the cache and 1MinnieMoo for maintaining this cache.

Fun multi where thankfully no waypoints can go missing. Thank you for the fun

I came over to this side of town to find a few caches that I had recently solved. This was a fun one and I had no problem with solving it. At gz, I had to wait until a few muggles wandered past before taking what I thought was going to be a deep dive into the stump but I was pleased to find that the cache wasn’t at the bottom. No sign of a cache guardian either. Lovely part of the creek. Tftc

After attending an event in this local area this morning, it gave me a good opportunity to look for this long solved multi. The co-ords were spot on, but on arrival, when I was about to stick my arm down, the cache guardian jumped up and perched itself on top. Phew, that scared the life out of me, and the heart rate went through the roof.
Once composed, I quickly grabbed the container, signed the log, returned it to its resting place, and then was on my merry way.

Thanks 1MinnieMoo for the beaut multi and hide.

I’m not into golf but I am into athletics so, as I was nearby at a little athletics meet, I popped a few calculations into my phone and came up with a set of coordinates. Fully expected to have made a calc error at some point but was pleasantly surprised to find cache exactly as per my calcs. Thoroughly enjoyed an afternoon walk to gz too. TFTC

This was our second attempt at this cache. About six months ago we wandered along here and there were some kids playing at GZ, so we continued on our way. This Friday evening I tried again and had much better luck.
A long while ago, following a kids soccer game one Saturday, before departing the area we calculated the trajectory of the ball and understood the frustration at this golf game. Today I followed this calculated course and arrived at the same spot I had tried previously. No luck at my calculated GZ, so I widened the search. Abut 25m from my calculated spot, there was an object that matched the hint. Success, and the cache container was found well hidden under good cover. All dry here and I was the first entry into the new log book. Thanks very much for the cache placement K8'n'Co. and for ongoing maintenance and adoption 1MinnieMoo. Glad to have found after a year unfound. Cheers

After signing a challenge cache yesterday, today's plans changed to complete that challenge. Looking at the map last night this one fit the bill. I was able to solve it while watching the cricket in my hotel room and soon had some good looking final coords.
I parked nearby and walked to GZ and pretty much walked straight up to it and made the find. All is good here, Tftc and puzzle K8'n'Co and 1MinnieMoo

This evening, I took a short drive to Arana Hills, and targeted a few geocaches in the area. A few multi-caches were visited, and a rather large green frog (non-bullfrog) was spotted in a large tree trunk, which was pretty cool.

I try to get into the habit of reviewing multi-caches ahead of time, and so during the recent COVID-19 lockdown a few months ago, I managed to check this description out. I was glad that I did, as this multi-cache was less a multi, and more a puzzle. I soon followed the route that
Mr Co’s golf ball undertook, and had a plausible location for his golf ball to be found.

So tonight, and needing a multi-cache type for today's calendar day, I parked nearby to this one, and took the short jog to GZ. I soon found something that matched the hint, and probably like others, I had a look around without spotting anything, and then looked deep and wandered if I did indeed need golf clubs in making a retrieval. However, I soon spotted something suspicious of a cache hide, and subsequently found Mr Co's golf ball with the cache attached! A nicely themed container, and I was glad I didn’t need to start looking in the deep stuff for my prize. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks K8'n'Co. for the cache placement, and 1MinnieMoo for its ongoing maintenance. The difficulty of this cache felt a little overrated, but perhaps this may have been related to when the cache was once upon a time hidden in the rough/deep? Those dang bunkers!

After a work catchup with ladies from 40 years ago, I took the opportunity to find a few caches before going home.
Had worked out where the cache is some time ago and now to find it. Parked nearby and at GZ searched a likely hide but couldn't see it until I looked closer and found it tucked away. SL then returned as found. Very apt cache.

Found on 7 June 2021. TFTC, K8'n'Co. adopted by 1MinnieMoo.

Having recently mastered a set of tools (not golf clubs... I couldn’t play golf to save myself) I was able to calculate a likely GZ... today I strolled across to find the cache... without giving too much away, I found it without the need of any further tools... bobcat, backhoe, extendable gripper, etc.... tftc...

In order to keep my challenges alive I have to complete a trad a day and a cache a day. Having to work a full day again today I only had time to grab a couple of caches. I had just grabbed a nearby traditional cache and saw this multi I had solved was nearby, unintentionally it also fills a space for my grid challenge.

Upon arriving and walking to GZ I soon spotted a place that would be a good hide for a cache. Looking around I saw nothing then something suspicious caught my eye. Looking further and yep there it was. So happy with this find and a fun cache design.

With the log signed and the cache replaced as found I was off home for the day, a favourite point from me, just because I can , lol.

Ninth cache of nine for the morning Smile. This one was found after an early morning (pre sunrise) walk around the Keperra Bushland on a lovely Brisbane winter morning. We were training with our full packs to prepare for a longer multi-day hike in the future. The hill felt steep and loose underfoot, but I was conveniently distracted by the views and the company, and the coffee was warming me up (and waking up my sparkling personality).

I had solved this puzzle some time ago, but unfortunately the cache container had gone AWOL. Thankfully the CO has replaced it, and so today seemed like a good day to have another attempt.

Nice quick find here, and a great themed cache container too. Cache and log are in good condition. Great to see a blank logbook Very Happy.

This one was fun to solve. It's sat in my solved but unfound pile for quite some time.

Today, geokid and I found ourselves in the area as we were driving back from Samford, and thought we'd have a quick look. Managed to weave our way through the plovers to the obvious spot at GZ.

That is one almighty big old stump! Very impressive - would have been a beautiful tree. Unfortunately, we didn't find anything of note in it Sad. We used improvised ToTTs to get rid of the rubbish within, and found a few hidey holes, but nothing with anything of note in it. I did almost have a full body experience which would have looked incredibly funny to anyone walking past.

I have photos which I can share with the new CO if that helps.

Out again today still trying to round up enough points for the Cache Carnival.

This one has been solved for a very long time, but it is soooo far away on the dark side. Razz

Having put some planning in to the day's adventure I had carefully selected my targets and was hopefully prepared for the hunts.

I had broken one of my TOTT yesterday that would have been useful here, but I had another that did the job. Big Grin

24-Feb-19
After abandoning the rest of today's caching crew, I needed a multi and this was nice and close. At the final, I could not reach the cache, but a message to JACS (who kindly u-turned), and I had an appropriate TOTT to make the find. TFTC!

Saturday. After having a look many moons ago for this cache, we had no luck. I thought since I was in the area, I would try again (that was yesterday). Still no luck, so a message to the CO and approval was given to replace the container. A new (quite weighty) container is now in place here and cache is ready to be found again. A TOTT will need to be used here. Thanks to Mr K8’n’Co for his allowing this cache to continue and allow others to enjoy the hunt! Razz

This was the 12th of 12 caches found on today's trip.

Thanks ***K8'n'Co.***, for showing us this place. Smile

Monday. Slow Puncture were out and about today in the area. Argh. No luck for the final find on this one for us today. We looked and poked at where GZ should be and only found some coke cans! [xx(] On the other hand, Mr SP, a keen golfer, found two golf balls in the park on the other side of the creek, near where we had parked. One was a writeoff, but the other has scrubbed up quite well. Razz

This was the 5th of 5 DNFs we had on this trip.

Thanks ***K8'n'Co.***, for showing us this place anyway, hopefully we will be back!

After trekking to a cache nearby 1Minniemoo said we were close to this one, so we stopped off to collect it for me.
Lucky 1MM is prepared and has some special tools, sticks just weren't working here!

11/3/17, 3:13 pm Find #635
Out for the day with Que Sera, SharpeM2 and bear0503 and this was our second stop. I've had this one solved for a little while waiting for me to grab it but after a conversation a little while back with the CO I had held off grabbing it. However Que Sera mentioned she wanted to do this one today for her March Challenge, so I was happy to join in.
After an interesting drive around here following Que Sera and Sharpem on their wild goose chase to get to the location in the car Wink , we finally pulled up and headed to the required destination, with me mentioning a particular car parking zone that we had driven past and could've parked in Razz .
However it wasn't long before we reached GZ and fossicked around to find what we were looking for. And Que Sera came up with the goods and hooked it out, though it was looking a little worse for wear and in rather a dangerous state. Photo taken, log signed, we tried to fix it up a little so it is a bit safer until the CO can get to the cache, then message and photo sent to CO, before the four of us were once more on our way.
Thanks for the cache K8'n'Co.

out for the afternoon with sharpem and 1minniemoo . we did go in circles a bit to get to this one but it was great fun. got to gz and i did come prepared with a tool to retrieve the cache. the cache however was attached to a jagged piece of metal and was bit dangerous. i removed the metal and put it in zip log bag so will be safe for now. my husband and 3 sons are good golfers and often played at course near here . loved the story of mr co's golfing misadventure. thanks for the fun

Out caching with KerriMG today and decided to stop to find out where Mr Co plays golf.
Had calculated where he was, that must have been a heck of a slice!
Read some previous logs before getting out of the car and luckily Kerri had a tool which sounded like it might be useful here.
Found a great place to hide a cache and then me with a stick and Kerri with her tool went to work. Kerri made the grab, but the lid fell off in extraction and the log book fell Sad Luckily we were able to grab it.
Not sure if there are 2 caches here, but the log we signed had JACS Team and Waz and Vik's name in it.

Out on our regular caching Thursday with Nikid1 & we headed over to the Arana Hills area.
Luckily for me Nic had already solved this one so I just went along for the ride in the golf buggy in search of Mr Co's mssing ball.
Thankfully we had read some previous logs & had come prepared with a very handy tool. Don't think we would have been able to retrieve that missing ball without it. As I was grabbing the cache the lid fell off & the log fell out - oh no! Luckily I could weld my tool better than Mr Co can his golf club & I managed to nab the log book as well - phew. Nikid1 did the signing duties & the cache was replaced as found. Very clever cache, well done.

Came a week ago and had a look but couldn't see anything for looking. Knowing that it had gone unloved we emailed the CO wondering if it had gone? The CO confirmed a suspicion we had and finally we managed to come back armed with a tool. Located the cache and opened to a bizarre log book which had only been signed once back in Feb 2015 as it was a replacement cache. We know high quality cachers have logged since then, so perhaps the original was still in there somewhere. Have sent a photo to CO of our signed log book should there be questions.

1961 - I solved this cache quite some time ago and at the time I wondered why the Difficulty Rating was so high. When I arrived at ground zero and saw where the cache was, I worked out why. Wow, how was I going to get that? I tried a few things as described by a few other recent finders, but my arm was just not quite long enough to be able to grab it. I even tried sticking my arm and head inside the beast but I was still a couple of inches short. I then looked around for a suitable tool and found one nearby that looked good for the job. I broke off a piece and then used the remaining bit to grab the cache and raise it from its lair. Of course things like this don't go to plan on the first go, and the filming of the event would have taken about 10 goes, even with the newly created tool. I am confident I would be the first finder to grab the cache in the method I used. I found the log book quite damp but I was still able to make my mark in it. I thought I left my pen in the car so I took it for a walk with me for a few minutes to dry it out a bit, but when I reached the car, I realised I had the pen in my pocket after all. I signed the log and returned the cache to its spot at 6:44pm. Thanks for a different type of challenge K8'n'Co, I will award it a favourite point in the near future when I get a couple more.

Selva Girls and I had picked up a nearby cache and she suggested I picked this one up too. Im not much of a golfer either - oh and that poor innocent ducky!! Anyhow, I found a very likely 'hole' the cache could be placed and sure enough SG confirmed it was there. Looking in, there it was. It took a few attempts and expert handling to extract the container from its tee. Finally we eeked it out with teamwork and signed the log. TFTC K8nCo

I solved most of this one on the computer and my wife had the best hands today to recover the cache. Took her a few attempts but after some minutes we could sign on the book.

I had solved this one a while ago and attempted to find the cache but it was out of my reach. After being housebound by rain for the last couple of days the kids and I headed out to see if they could help. The cache was finally retrieved by my 12 year old!! I don;t think I will ever hear the end f it either, TFTC and whole lot of laughter!!

Yes, the day has finally come! I've been saving this cache for several months to use for a monthly challenge. Until 3 weeks ago it was my closest unfound cache to home and had been off and on for several months. It sat there on my map, taunting me, but I stayed strong. I was determined to use it for a monthly challenge.

March came and I was in Hawaii and picked up most of my caches for the month while I was there.

May came and almost went without me completing the challenge. I was staying with my daughter down near Helensvale for 6 weeks and grabbed all three needed caches for the month in one day while I was there.
Back home and now saving this one for another four months until September.

September came and I'd once again been down to my daughters and picked up most of my caches down there. I already had my multi for the month and there was a traditional starting with M at Strathpine that I needed for a series so it became my M for September as well.

November saw me in New Zealand and Melbourne for 2 megas so naturally I completed the November challenge while I was away travelling.

And now here it is, the 1st of December and I can finally claim this multi for a monthly challenge. Of course, having waited all this time it wasn't going to be easy to retrieve was it?! I'd read the previous logs about it being difficult to reach but halfway here I realised I'd forgotten to bring a useful tool with me. Never mind, how hard can it be? Turns out not a snowballs! So back to the car and home to fetch a retrieval tool and I finally have my name in the log.

Now to go home and chop down a tree for some relaxation Smile

*Dropped off a travel bug while I was here.

I was struggling to find caches to use to finish Mr Fangsoki's monthly challenges. I thought I would have to have a decent sized roadtrip to finish the month but Captain Terror took a look at my GSAK and found 3 caches that were all within 10km from home that I could use instead.

Today was a quiet day before a busy weekend of birthday celebrations so we escaped for a few hours to grab a few caches. After finding another cache nearby we headed over to this one. I had coordinates in GSAK for this one that weren't the posted coordinates. Let's see if they are finals that I had worked out another lifetime ago? Nothing here.

We weren't going to let something like not having the coordinates stop us from this find so we used some good ol' "If it was me where would I hide it?" and before long we had the right spot. Getting the cache was another story. It took us quite some time, phone batteries dying, returning to the car, but we eventually got the container out. Names into the logbook then it was time to head back home. Thanks for the cache K8'n'Co

A few times, I've been to a driving range and generally been able to whack a golf ball down range with no repeatable trajectory. I've become rather familiar with the Victoria Park Course.. well, the putt-putt course. But never have I even begun to play a round of proper, white trousers, silly buggy, caddy assisted 18-hole golf. As it were, it reminds me of a Robin Williams skit, of which the clean version he performed in a 2002 Michael Parkinson interview. You could watch it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=okkhgZim5Ig

So, this geocache. The story, I could relate to. I suspect I'd be just as useless and short-tempered whacking away at the silly little ball on a relatively oversized playing field. I think say, Soccer or Lawn Bowls have the right ball size to playing field size ratio bang on. Golf are way over the top. Ten pin bowling a bit too far in the other direction. Years ago, however I did try to sort out the final location from home. I used a handheld device and a few desktop programs but came up with sweet nothing. And being on the dark side of Brisbane, I gave it away.

Net88 had an issue of leaving finishing the December challenge until about the 26th, with a number of days rostered on to work upcoming. She reckoned a round trip to nearly Toowoomba, nearly new South Wales and the Sunshine Coast was needed for her to qualify, but I disagreed. That landed me with helping her find some closer to home. This multicache was one of them and thank goodness, she had acquired some final co-ordinates a long time ago. That'll do us, pig!

This afternoon we rolled into the area after trying to access from a very incorrect angle. The GPSr lead us past a couple of lads kicking a ball around - don't they know you don't kick in golf? At Net's GZ there was very little likely hiding spaces and exactly zero that matched the hint. Well, awkward. Then a check of the logs going back some time revealed she may have had finals from before it was moved back in February 2013.

We were left with a decision, give it away or give it a crack. Well, how hard can it be? Some assumptions were made and we set off again. Some minutes later I was left fossicking about and climbing over a likely spot while Net looked for anywhere else. After checking everything where I was and Net seeing nothing better, we all but gave up, choosing to return to the car via the only places left worth checking.

Lo and behold, we found the right spot. It seems our guesswork was pretty good. Net's phone had single digits of battery left, but by it's torch we could see the container. However, not even I could reach it. I grabbed a nearby pokey stick but that made things worse. A lot worse. It seems the hiding place was anything but stable and soon the container was out of sight. Some 'unsuitable for polite company' words were uttered. I fiddled with extra sticks and performed some local CITO. Then the phone's battery died. Well, poo.

Back to the car we went. There was no obvious tool to help us, but we found a walking stick, a coathanger, some sticky tape, a torch, some tent guy rope and a pocketful of other little bits. Back at the guessed GZ I fashioned a grabby tool that almost worked, but was destined to fail. I rigged up another lasso type tool and though it was more complicated and took some teamwork, a steady hand and a few minutes, it paved the way to success! Out came the geocache. Net set about signing the logbook as I repaired the hidey hole somewhat to prevent it falling too far in the near future - but that may not last too long.

Geocache replaced, random bits and pieces from the boot packed up and we declared it a smiley. This was another example of a find thanks purely to teamwork - neither of us would have gotten our name in that logbook had we been alone. A nice multicache that ended in a real challenge come problem solving exercise. Thanks for this geocache, K8'n'Co. Smile

I admit I did solve this cache from home and I chuckled as I read the story. Did the calculations and got a good final location. Today I made my way to GZ. It was very quiet, no-one at all around which made the find easy. Quick find and log signed. TFTC

With the marvels afforded by modern technology, I was able to play the whole round of Gold and end up with a beer in hand at the 19th without even leaving the comfort of my couch!! Took Geo Jr. for a wander in the drizzle, and found what we were looking for in no time. No gymnastics required to grab the container, but I can see how it would otherwise be a challenge if the container became misplaced. Thanks for a great round of golf Mr Co

I have a set of clubs too. Purchased when more of my time was my own and Selective Availability was OFF. There also no perimeter weighted, the shafts are steel and my woods are wood and the size they were meant to be. The most recent outage was for the ball retriever, it got used at a recent CITO to reach the rubbish in a creek that was just out there.

Today I dusted them off and sideled(?) up to the first tee. Things were looking a little flooded around here so prospects of a hole in one may have been dashed. After a few airswings, some rank hooks and a couple of awful slices, it was time to use the putter. It was relatively new and hence somewhat shunned by the other clubs, but as they say - driving is for show and putting is for dough.

Unfortunately I had forgotten the ball retriever, so had to improvise and curse a bit. And then I dropped the log and its bag, so I had to improvise some more.

thanks for the cache K8'n'co

Out for a little treasure hunt this morning with the 2yr old. Thought a spot of golf might be good for killing time before a nap. An easy find but go-go-gadget arms might have been useful to retrieve the cache. Thanks again Kate'n'co. Another fine treasure.

Needing a cache for the day, I headed to this multi. I had cheated a little having figured out GZ at home. Once at GZ, I spotted the hiding spot quickly. Then I spied the cache. Hmmm.....how do I extract it from there???? I looked around for something to help me and soon located something that I thought would work. It took several attempts, but eventually, the cache was in my hands. There was water in the cache and the log was a little damp. Luckily, I had my trusty "write anywhere" pen with me. I couldnt see any other signatures in the logbook, but I may have missed them as some of the pages stuck together. It was nice too have a blank logbook to sign, even if it wasnt a ftf. tftc

Damn! Seems to have been muggled again. Will have to think of new camo.

I tried my long game on this cache this morning. It was quite a drive over from the South West, and I spent the whole drive looking for coffee opportunities. Bugger me its hard to find coffee before 6 in the morning! All was not lost; the map on the IPhone showed a Zaraffa's nearby. However on a drive-by such a thing was not to be seen.

Unfortunately, that trend continued when I arrived at GZ. Arriving at the stump in question, all that could be found was 4 empty beer cans. Either Mr Co had stumbled here from the club house or the cache had been muggled.

Anyhow, I will watch this one with anticipation. TFTH K8'n'Co

The muggles are about. Another one that has disappeared.

I know I have looked at this cache before but somehow I had never actually attempted to solve it. As I knew I would be in the area today I sat down last night with some necessary tools and after a not too difficult process I soon had some numbers. Found a likely parking spot this morning and wandered my way down to GZ. Plenty of activity nearby this morning bit nobody's attention was focused my way so I was able to hunt around with no problems. A quick look and the container was soon to hand. Thanks for a nice puzzle.

Back on track with this one!

I had a day of geocaching with my daughter (not an avid geocaching fan by any stretch) because I needed a chauffeur. A recent heart scare and repair means no driving for a week. So I looked for some easier terrain multi's and puzzles I could do today, and this on my list.

I had spent some time on practising my swing on the interweb thingy last night, mimicking the example set by Mr Co. I was hoping I might have been a little less of a hacker than him, and sadly proved that I am his equal! (I didn't score my air swing or duff shots - is that ok?) As it turns out my online shots landed me 5 meters from the cache! A rather impressive feat, given I thought I didm;t have a chance. I just wanted to avoid having to walk the entire course!

Geodaughter reached into the hole and retrieved the ball, which now has the fungus signature on it.

Another well themed cache - how does Mr Co have so much time to do all this sport....

I was looking for a cache to keep my current streak of daily finds going (now 70 days and counting). I knew I would be passing near this one, and my poor multi stats are declining, so this one was duly selected.

I had worked out coordinates for Mr Co's golf clubs some time ago from the comfort of my lounge chair. Before visiting today, I thought I had better quickly check them - hmmm, a different result. This could be interesting.

On arrival at GZ, the place was inundated with school kids about to start their Friday afternoon sports. I wasn't looking forward to loitering around suspiciously for too long. Fortunately, the most recently calculated coordinates had me hidden from view slightly, albeit in the middle of the creek with Mr Co's golf clubs! A thorough search of likely dry spots nearby was unsuccessful. I emerged from the bush cover and could see the school kids eyeing me suspiciously - "Look at that strange man who was hiding in the bushes over there , teacher!"

Time to retreat to the car, take a few deep breathes and do some more field calcs. On the way, about 40 metres from where I had been searching, I spotted a classic cachers hide. These days, I am unable to walk past one of these things without stopping and taking a look inside "just in case".

Well, today was one of those "just in case" days. A container - for this cache, no less!!!

The container was full of water, but the logbook was still useable, mostly as it has been double ziplock bagged. Emptied the water out, signed the logbook, returned the cache and disappeared quickly, before the teachers came looking with a lynch mob.

Happy to find this one. Thanks for the cache, K8'n'Co.

I was able to do the hard work for this one on the computer to get some pretty good looking numbers. Found my way to GZ and quickly found the cache. TFTC

Hmmm... After my last unsuccessful foray, I went home and reran the numbers through GCtools on my phone. Maybe I was using old numbers because this time, they pointed straight to a likely spot, some 50-100m from where I last searched. As I approached today, a waterdragon got himself up and out in a hurry. I then used a stick to clarify what was litter and what was the always pleasant sound of hollow cache. The contents were fairly dry but I gave them some time in the sun while I munched my lunch, before replacing everything carefully. Having long arms is an advantage here for sure: TFTC!

I had a feeling this would be a long shot today. I arrived at my armchair coords (I think I used GC tools too) but it was clearly unlikely unless the lantana was hiding something. I wandered over to a spot which seemed much more likely based on recent logs and I was quite confident... But sadly nothing came up for me in any little nook or cranny. I suspect I wasn't far away and had I not been called home, I would have stuck around. Thanks anyway: I'll be back!

Well looks like I'm off to play a round of golf.
On the last hole being the 18th one, teed off and managed to hit a few grubbers til the hole, I mean cache.
Looked at GZ and saw an open cache. Surprised
It was still there and there was a toy as well and cliplock bag on the ground beside GZ but for some reason the log is gone. Surprised
Perhaps they wanted Mr Co secret formula for golf. Wink
Placed in a new log book and signed.
TNLlogbook TFTC Thanks K'8'n'Co Cool for the puzzle and All good with this cache now.

Tried this one a couple of days ago after doing all the calculations at home. Seems though we got the last leg wrong, so tried guesstimating it in the field. Found what we thought was a likely spot with no luck.

Widened the search before giving up and it appears I was only about 10 metres from the spot. So close.

Home to re-jig the figures. Found what was wrong, so back today with correct co-ords. Nice quick find when your heading in the right direction Wink

Log signed, cache replaced.

thought i had worked this out using GC tools on the computer but final didn't make sense.
had a quick look then decided to do it the old fashioned way (but without the compass as it was at home).
2nd 2 wp's agreed with gc tools but then they went their separate ways
had a look around where we ended up but pretty sure we are still in the wrong place

next time Smile

Worked this one out yesterday and today went to final coords to find the cache nice and dry in great condition Smile TFTC K8'n'Co.

EDIT: sorry, I meant to say we DID find it today Smile

Matt has more knowledge about golf so it was up to him to figure this one out ... which he did Big Grin. We stopped by to find it today Smile. Quick & easy find Smile. All is good with the cache Smile. Found with Matt_Eth Smile. TFTH K8'n'Co. Smile.

P.S. We wandered a bit further to check out some lovely trees and to have a look at the creek below Smile.

Seeing this one back on line again, I went and played more golf with Mr Co. Played too hard and over thought my shots way too much, but eventually got on par and ended up making it all the way.

Thanks K8'n'Co for the new gz. All good with the cache.

10-Feb-13
I have moved the final to a location that I hope will survive the muggles. Because I have made substantial changes to Mr Co's shots previous finders are welcome to find and log this one again.

05-Feb-13
The cache has gone missing again. Will have to re-think this one before I put out a replacement.

03-Feb-13
OK I worked this one out a few weeks back, and today was the day to go and pick it up. Made our way to the gz, and spent some time looking around - Ms Garmin being her usual finicky self around trees, I came in and out a few times and found myself somewhere different each time. So the area was thoroughly checked. I read some of the previous logs at the time I had put this cache into Ms Garmin, and found it was a sneaky little thing. After looking around again with the hint in mind, I realised I was in the right spot and started looking at things a little differently.

We decided to call it quits and come back another time. After making it back to the car, I checked the cache details on my iPhone and saw that things had changed with the final and the container. So reworked the final and went to the new spot. Funnily enough we had already checked this area very thoroughly so walked away again without a cache.

Thanks for the hunt K8'n'Co.

Woohoo !

Found this one at last !
Geodaughter was over the moon till I explained, no we're not FTF, it's a cache refresh Smile
We were happy to also see our possum friend asleep in his usual haunt.

I have replaced the cache in a slightly different location (if you have already calculated the final you will need to check as the distance and angle of the last shot has changed). I have placed the cache so it can now be found. If you are keen enough the are still two original caches out there somewhere.

Turned up with the geokids, and began looking around.. nope not there, hmmm.. my coords put it right smack dab in the middle of.. the biggest spider web you ever saw. Gumbosan does the OMG OMG where did that monster GO dance ???!.. to which the kids respond 'hang on dad, i think its on your back'.. OMFG! encore..

Anyways, had a look around and didn't see it, but that doesn't mean its not there..

We did find a likely hiding spot, but it seems a possum beat us to it and fell asleep on top of it !.. well thats our excuse anyways.. Red Face

We'll be back to retry this one on another day when hopefully the possum has moved on.

After playing some footy, we then decided to play a round of golf, well actually we have played here a couple of times and we were hoping today would be a quick find due to the weather. We tried doing this one out on the field and then we gathered some more info and went out another day then we discovered something else to help us get GZ. Head there today with high hopes only to find that we had been to this area before. Mmmmm......ok, we must be doing something right so we decided that we weren't leaving until we find it. Searched the obvious places with no luck, then after reading some logs the penny started to drop and we started a fresh search. Not long and the very, very, very wet log book was in our hands. Impossible to sign, we have left the old log book in the container but we have also put a small bison and log in a separate bag into the container. Hopefully that won't get wet.

What a fantastic idea, we thought working gz out was hard, but the hard part in the end was finding the cache.

Very clever once again. Another favourite point.

Yippeeeee!!!!!!

We got it! We got it! We got it!!!!

Happy dance!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

T-Tech and I spent a couple of hours at a get-together this afternoon, and this cache was discussed as there were a few previous finders in attendance. Some great stories were passed around, mostly of their struggles to actually find the cache and the many fruitless visits each one had made to GZ Red FaceWink Of course we shared our story as well, but as luck would have it we were the only ones who had plotted GZ but yet to make the find. A few suggestions were made, all ones we had heard before, but something stirred in T-Tech and he decided we'd better go and have another shot at it on our way home. Oh, no!!!! Surprised Please not!!!! Surprised I don't want to log another DNF on this horrible cache TwistedSad [xx(] GRRRR!!!!!

Anyway, seeing as he was driving, we headed over to our GZ. Upon arrival T-Tech armed himself with some tools, then he set about plotting the exact spot he expected it to be. A couple of sticks in place, and he said, "It should be there" and there it was!!!!!!!! Unbelievable SmileBig GrinCool [^] Why, oh why could we not find it before??????????

The container took quite a bit of coaxing to come out, as it was well and truly stuck and we didn't want to break anything. And as others have said, the logbook is soaked and quite difficult to open, but we managed to find a page and leave our marks. Took lots of pictures, and did our best to dry things out, before replacing the container.

TFTC, Mr Co. I'm so very pleased to make this a Smile It has been my nemesis for a long time! A favourite point from me. Happy sigh [^]

23-Sep-12
IolantheK and I decided to give this cache another try after a group of us cachers had got together to solve some puzzles over some coffee.

Arrived at a much dryer GZ than last DNF visit (that I think is the secret to finding this cache), and began our search again. Would you believe we found it within 2mins Razz. Retrieved the container from its hidey hole and signed a very wet log book.

Finally I won't have to hear IolantheK lament about not having this cache and it spoiling her "all done within 3 Km of home" stat [^]

The cache could do with a far more watertight container (cache containers lid is cracked) as the log is very wet.

TFTC K8'n'Co. you are a legend Cool

I had my eye on this with the idea that I would race over to look for it again as soon as someone else had found it in the hope that the area would be a little disturbed and lead me straight to the cache.
Well as luck would have it two people found it and did indeed leave it sooo much easier to find. I had been looking exactly in the right place for the right thing but it was too well camouflaged the first time.
Sadly the log is a soggy pulpy mess so I couldn't sign it but I have a photo if Mr K8 would like me to send it. TFTC

I got it I got it I got it I got it I got it! I got it! I got it! Hole in four hundred! Okay, maybe not four hundred, but I know I've searched here twice. Clearly sports is not my forte. Having had my thoughts on this cache confirmed recently, I returned and searched with renewed vigour today. Despite having searched this exact location mere days ago, the satellite gods were smiling on me today and after a bit of concerted searching, I found something a tad suspicious. But was it suspicious enough? I manoeuvred and manoeuvred, but no cache... could I be wrong? Surely not! In the end, The Marble and I pooled resources and with some patience and a bit of brute strength, managed to retrieve the cache! Hurrah!!! Sadly, it's a little the worse for wear, being completely soaked and a touch on the odiferous side. But it's there! And I found it! Okay, going away to calm down now. TFTC, K8'n'Co! =^.^=

Evil Twisted evil Twisted evil Twisted

Finally, after about 3 or 4 visits 'off the record', today I was determined would be the successful visit and sure enough, the caching gods were looking down on me.

Had to empty the water out of the container and wring out the log book but I sort of was able to make a mark. More of an indentation actually but it's good enough for me.

Nice to finally convert this one into a smiley. Thanks K8'n'Co Big Grin

La Kedi came with me for this one today. She had been unable to find it the other day and wanted another opportunity. We scoured the area inch by inch working in a grid pattern. 'I got it' came the call. Extracting it however was another matter. Even with its 'tool' it wouldn't budge so we resorted to my trusty fork. After clearing a tonne of mud and a few earthworms we finally yanked it free with a shout of triumph. A very sneaky hide Mr Co.

19-Apr-12
Gah! This cache continues to torment me! With half an idea of what I was looking for, I spent FAR too long pretending I'd dropped my ring in the grass, with nothing to show for my efforts but quite an extraordinary amount of dirt under my fingernails. You are a sneaky hider, Mr. Co! Even if you aren't very good at golf. I'll be back.

Obviously I'm even worse at golf than K8 n Co!
