Thanks FLIPPER&CO for placing this cache and for the ongoing maintenance. Find #10300 on 5/10/2024 at 10:56AMAlways good to head of caching especially on a long weekend. I decided to have another go at the bike series. Last time I was out here the river was in flood so I didnt get to venture to the other side. Collecting some OYB today and others that appear along the way.
Ahh a long weekend caching in South Australia with the Gong Gangsters is way too good an opportunity to pass up. With dates set and leave passes granted we managed a 4-day caching spree - targeting the On ya bike series. The variety of finds was wide and diverse, we travelled with our own totts. Our finds are logged with our Gangster stamp or GG on the smaller logs. Thanks to all the COs who provided us with a great weekend, filled with laughter, banter and much more that cant be said. Thanks to my fellow caching buddies - steeba, Hoojar and Wilbert.TFTC
Found with The Rats, Hoojar and Wilbert67. Another big trip some time in the making to get some good numbers. Plenty of solving and working out final coordinates, packing lists and arranging transport from New South Wales to some of the mallee country of South Australia. As always plenty of laughs and great company. As always a variety of types and hides.Unless otherwise flagged cache found all ok. Thanks for placing these series.TFTC!
The temptation of finding nearly 1,000 caches on a road trip in South Australia was proving all too tempting. So a date was set, flights were booked, and a car was hired. The Rats, Steeba, Wilbert67 and I were off to tackle the On Ya Bike series, and surrounding caches. Cache logs were either stamped, or signed GG (Gong Gangsters). We covered a great many kilometres, finding caches and enjoying the scenery. We camped under the stars. We enjoyed cold weather, rain and a winter heat wave. We cached in the dark. We cached in the light. We found some ordinary caches, and some brilliant ones.As is so often the case with our trips, the banter was constant, the jeering persistent, and the company excellent. Mind you, it is a lot easier to listen to Rugby League on the radio in the great State of New South Wales! This boiler-plate log does not take anything away from some of the excellent caches that we found, and I am appreciative of all of the cache hiders for their efforts in placing and maintaining all of these hides. We all ticked over mini Milestones during this trip, but notably I found my 20,000th cache. A Milestone I am very happy to have shared with my mates; mates that I have found thousands of caches with previously. Heres to many more caching adventures!Cheers
Mr Moule seems to have his eye on today and was able guess the location as we pulled up. A great view from gz! Thanks for highlighting this area with this clever hide.
Plans were made for the team to get back together to finish the on your bike series and whatever other series peaked our fancy. We organised it to happen after the Canberra Mega and travel in a convoy back to SA, safety in numbers they say.Our convoy consisted of feathertop, GoodLook, LB, Rapidlywild and us then meeting up in Mildura with The Drovers. After doing the On your bike series today and a bite today and staying at the pub at swan reach we decided to head out again and collect a few caches under the cover of darkness. Our mini group shrunk and now consisted of feathertop, Rapidlywild and The Drovers. All caches were found safe and sound before retiring for the number. Thanks for the hide FLIPPER&CO
Plans have been in place for a little while now about a convoy from the Canberra Mega to head over to SA and finish off what currently stands of the On Your Bike series. Today being day 2 of the trip away, todays convoy consisted of GoodLook, TheDame, feathertop, LB, The Drovers, FurfacesLL and myself. After departing Mildura this morning, our target was 2 of the bikes on the series. We made our way along the solved coordinates in a nice convoy. After finishing the 2 bikes we had planned, we set into Swan Reach to check into our accommodation for the night. After a feed and a chat, myself, FurfacesLL and The Drovers headed back out to do the Adventure Lab, the bonus and another unfound one we had nearby. Thanks for the cache placement and maintenance FLIPPER&CO and thanks FurfacesLL for another fun trip away
Logged this evening in the company of The Drovers, FurfacesLL and rapidlywild. A rather good hide that commands a great view that we were denied on account of darkness. Thanks flipper&Co

We're camped across the river but ran out of milk so we headed to the local cafe for a very welcome coffee. A drive up the hill to this cache to enjoy my coffee, the view and finding this cache has made for a very pleasant morning. We've giving this one a favorite point because we rather like this style of hide! Thanks for find #5742TNLN
The Adelaide Leap Day Mega and Canberra Geobash gave me a great excuse for a road trip. This trip has shown me so many new and interesting places as Ive chased LGAs, oldies, challenges, interesting D/T combinations, rarer cache types and favourites.Meeting up with friends old and new along the way, we sometimes cached with them and sometimes alone but always had a great time. Today we headed off once again for a paddle on the Murray, this time in the opposite direction to yesterday. The day promised to be another hot one so we began just after sunrise. The river was quiet and the breeze low as we paddled past moored houseboats, riverside homes and grassy banks. The caches proved to be less challenging than yesterday as we were able to access many from within our kayak. On the way back to our base camp at Bowhill, we took a long detour to make a start on the On Your Bike series around the Swan Reach area. A great variety of climbing, fishing, rock piles and other hides, we were successful in finding all we searched for. Thanks to the CO for placing and maintaining this cache and adding to our enjoyment.
??Road tripped to Adelaide for the?????Leap Day Mega, caching all the way and trying to fulfil various challenges.????This cache-which challenge/why? ??400 in a day attempt so need every cache we can grab!??Teamed up with Darkside Dan, Loci612 and Tiz13 to find as many of the bike series as we could. ??Early start each day and going like Duracell bunnies all day to achieve our goals.???? Big efforts saw us doing the entire series and other caches as well in just 4 days! ????We were pretty cactus at the end of each day but felt a great sense of achievement at the end of it to soothe our aching bodies and various injuries.??????Nearly all caches sought were found. Logs signed AB! or AbG! (Adventure boys and girls) depending on who put ink to paper.???? This was a quick grab at our meeting point for today. Nice view!??***This was our 400 in a day challenge day which we qualified for so it has been huge effort and sense of achievement for us.??***TFTC??
This cache was todays meeting point! We pulled up bright and early and gathered together; making our first plan. Whilst we were there we thought what better way to start this epic day of caching, but with a non-bike cache from 2010! A fun hide here & great views! Cache in good condition & we had the place to ourselves to enjoy!TFTC, time to hit the road - **On your Bike - Day 2** -**SIGNED AB!***Loci612 / DARKSIDEDAN / Tiz13 / echocage1*Yesterday was a trial run to see what this series was like, and how quickly we might be able to get through it! We managed to pick up almost 1/4 of the caches that day, with extra time in the late afternoon to do some tougher ones as a reward! So we agreed that today we would be able to shoot for 400 in a day if we were more focused on the series itself! It ended up being a 14 hour day of caching starting at 7:30am. That did include one break for dinner at Swab Reach Pub, where we regained our energy and contemplated whether we had met the goal. We came to a conclusion that we potentially miscounted and were a small handful of caches short, so we went back out and picked up some harder ones to round off the total, not finishing until 9:30pm at night! What an epic series, 10 years playing this game and I doubled my previous most in a day, just like that! Huge thanks to SAGEO_5, but mainly to the individual persons involved with this account and setting up this epic series!
Day 2 Tiz13 still loves her jigsaw puzzles but ...How many bike jigsaw puzzles is too many??? They did start driving me nuts... And any future ones will instantly remind me of this expedition Day 1 went so well that the Adventure Bound group aka Tiz13 and echocage1 DARKSIDEDAN and Loci612 thought that it would be a great idea to try to get a PB of 400 with these on your bike caches. So the shenanigans started early and ended late as we kept pushing until we finally got there...logs signed or stamped AB or ABG (Adventure boys/Gals ) depending on who signed (don't ask) I signed the caches I found with ABAdventure Bound All caches found, some quicker than others, some higher or lower than expected, a few offered us a challenge that we took turns in accepting. All in all, a very successful interesting fun day 2 that saw a few of us getting bitten by various insects and almost a snake..

Found with FUF009. A planned day to hunt DT combos to get us jumping from 1 loop to 4.We started out early from Adelaide, and 3 hours later, we were at our 1st cache. It was, thankfully, not a sunny day like yesterday was, and we were able to find all our targets plus a few extras. We're both chuffed to have levelled up.Another superb caching day in SA.Passed by so stopped.Tftc

GC2KCD7 Come View The Mighty Murray With MeA group of us are down from Darwin and Brisbane in preparation of the leap year event. Today was day 1 of hitting the bikes. To save space in the logs as signed as the BOLD7. Was meant to be BDLD7 but something got lost in translation. Love looking at the mighty Murray TFTC FLIPPER&CO
After lunch at the local pub, collected the ad lab final and went looking for this one. And it took all 7 sets of eyes from the BOLD07 to spot the hide. My excuse was not enough beverage inhaled to set the eyes right. Thanks FLIPPER&CO for keeping this cache active.
Continuing on with my South Australian caching tour and the mad collection of caches in the state. I am again with the BOLD 7 and today it is going to be a mad assault on as many as we can get of the On your bike series. We are working from our digs down and first of collecting the around the world series and then heading towards sedan for the bikes and a few others as we pass along. There is so much to do and in such close proximity. It is surprising as to how well these caches are placed and have remained in place. It was to stop off and collect the caches and the traffic was a little hectic at times but manageable. Thanks for setting up these caches and maintaining the series. All caches were signed as BOLD 7 and replaced as found. The generic log signing is to save log replacements A break from the bike caches and a chance to refuel and grab a drink.
In Swan Reach for lunch picking up some caches before we continue with the bike series. Tricky one. Signed with BOLD7.
With our group BOLD7 entertaining ourselves as we head north to explore the country. Fab day collecting bikes and other menagerie! . Thanks to the SA cachers for awesome variety of caches.
How very exciting the big trip has finally arrived! Down from Brisbane with a host of other geo friends with plans aplenty, enough to almost see us needing to extend or make a return visit. Our geonick for the trip is BOLD7 which is guaranteed to save the log paper for the 7 individual members of the team. As we make our way around sadly there wont be time for the usual individual logs and therefore just the old generic log will have to do. With little extra notes here and there if needed. Thank you for your cache which has added to my wonderful caching holiday.
TFTC Flipper&Co,Epic views along this section, thanks for sharing this place with us
On an west to east and back roadtrip, today's leg was from Red Cliffs to Birdwood. We've always loved going through Swan Reach and crossing the river at Walker Flat, so that's the path we took today. Stopped here to check out the vista, and happy to collect a smiley as we did. Thanks for the find FLIPPER&CO
Staying at the camping across the riverWent for a walk around this midday, was a bit of a search but found it! TFTC
Clever hide and great views. This mornings mission was the Straya geo-art and challenge caches. This afternoon I make a start on On My Bike series. Sandyofthesea loved doing the jigsaws and I am really happy to be out here. Its a huge effort to place and maintain such a large amount of geocaches. The geocaching community members are awesome!! Thank you!Staying in an ATCO hut at the Swan Reach pub tonight as our geo-Prado with roof top tent is still in WA. I pick it up next week ready for some more epic journeys.Solo caching in the Murray Bridge and Tailem Bend-Karoonda and Swan Reach area for a few days.Been in SA for about a month now, seeing new sights and finding plenty of caches too. How fabulous and mind boggling is the amount of caches and monumental geoart! On a multi project in the true sense of the word far from home base which is at higher altitude. The project idea to embark on the OYB series with a group of likeminded geobuddies AKA PUZZLD had its mad genesis a few months ago - what better way to attempt it!Travelling with contesta, kbucky, dj vu, search4, bounty trackers and weirdo biker over a few days mixing and matching skills with good humour and camaraderie. Thanks a zillion to the COs for the variety of caches and challenges. Im imagining a recovery session after this exhausting marathon!
Today is our 2nd day staying in the area trying to complete some geoart. The day has been hot!We found the cache hide and the beautiful view but the log had disconnected from its holder. A new log sheet has been added. Up to the CO if this is acceptable. Thanks for the cache.
signed as puzzld group. Obviously with so many experienced people, if it wasn't there it wasn't there. We fashioned a replacement cache so others can come here and enjoy the view like we did. tftc FLIPPER&CO
Stamped as PUZZLDTeam consists of Ronice88, Weirdobiker, Contesta, DeJavu, Search 4, Kbucky & myself Bounty Trackers. On a 5day (maybe more) caching expedition with On Ya Bike series as the main objective then on to the Paddle steamer series we are all staying in Nildotte for 3 nights then moving up to Loxton for another 2 nights. With events at either end. And hopefully a few caches placed before 2010 will also be on our hit list. Lots of fun & laughs had along the way and lots of car doors opened & closed. Thanks for placing and maintaining the series.

Found the container, but unfortunately it was void of contents. It is a great view so I will return and sign the log next time!TFTC
I had been here before but without success however with a lot more experience and a lot of thought, I worked out where it was. That was about 10 plus years ago.Today I returned and,yep there is is. However it is all of those years order and was rusted out.So, yes I found it, but no,I was unable to sign as it was a mushy lunp on the bottom .
Replaced the log here after admiring the view with icybeetas and LaidlayM&M.

The Epic Road Trip with OzHockeyChick has now entered its New Year phase with today being Day 11. After setting up at Roonkas last night we are in for a more relaxed day of caching today. Having solved the Roonka puzzle geoart without realising how close we were to it, we are collecting this along with some tail ends of the Swan Reach side of On Ya Bike.
Back for an afternoon relax at camp by the water (water that is not normally anywhere near that close to the campground). An impressive sight to see this area in flood, despite the devastation it is causing many.
All caches were found in good order unless otherwise indicated.
Stopped for lunch here to admire the Murray river in flood. OzHockeyChick spotted the likely location which with a little effort revealed the log.
Thanks FLIPPER&CO for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to enjoy.

We are finally able to travel interstate without heaps of loops to jump through. We thought we would take it easy and have a look around South Australia and grab a few more LGA's while we were here.
Out for a morning run after catching the ferry across from the camping area. It didn't take long to spot where it was but I couldn't get to it. I went across the road to look for a TOTT that would help.
Soon had the log signed

What a great idea for a geoart, a Penny Farthing Bike, beside the Uni-Cycle and a couple of other bikes out in the middle of nowhere, plus a long stretch to form the road. A few years ago, I found the first bike and the fish with a small group where we camped in the Loxton Caravan Park for a few days.
This time a much larger group of likeminded folks formed into two groups, the Vic 1 team and the “B” team.
While in the area we grabbed any that were close by.
I am glad that we had some very clever folk in our group.
A fun time was had by all and a great deal of thanks must go to the teams that organised this great geoart.

Left a scratchy: Good luck!

We found this cache on Day 3 of our On Your Bike Series Trail. After completing all of the 1007 caches in the series over the last 3 days, we retired back to the hotel but I had been wanting to find this cache every day but had not. As this was our last night, I walked up from the hotel to enjoy the view. Thanks for placing this cache from D & HA B-A
This was day three of our "On Your Bike" series adventure .
We stopped off for a few other caches as well as we passed by.
We were caching with a great group of caching friends and we logged as The B Team.
We enjoyed the variety of cache types and locations.
Thank you to the Cache owners for making the effort to create and maintain these caches.
We picked up a few caches with Phetlern after the excitement of some Bikes.
Thanks to FLIPPer&CO for this cache.

After a couple of days sketching out the geo-art smiley tokens for our map, it was quite a change to just be able to stop and enjoy the Mighty Murray. Our log entry is a green "B Team" stamp to economise on space.
Thanks FLIPPER&CO for placing caches in interesting locations.

Finally catching up on some logging and must say that I am disappointed that we forgot to come back and take in the views whilst we were still here, in daylight hours. Thanks for the cache.
We must remember to come back here in the daylight. It was a nice quick find but the views were obviously not evident. Thanks for the placing of this cache.
