Went to check on the geocache today, and it has indeed disappeared. Many of the big rocks that were surrounding its nook have been moved - I wonder if a torrential downpour could have shifted them?

The path down to GZ is well-worn now, and it would be very unsafe in wet weather. As a result, I'm archiving this geocache rather than replacing it.

Congratulations to all the previous finders, and apologies to those that sought but could not find.

13-May-12
So many DNFs, it is time to check and fix or archive this one.

11-May-12
*sad face... definitely time for maintenance, no where to be found Sad

07-May-12
Searched with a previous finder - no sign.

29-Feb-12
Like the others, had a good look around with no luck.
However I did spy a long tailed dragon lizard in my search, a bonus.
Thanks anyway juliok, a ripper of a park.

11-Dec-11
Great spot for a cache, couldn't have done better myself. didn't wirte in the logbook because it was too full. TFTC Smile

11-Dec-11
Log book been replaced and it's good to go!

10-Dec-11
Out with my youngest son to do a quick afternoon cache run. I think he was helping! Big Grin He was keen to get a drink from the water fountain and ended up with soaked pants!! I was down the side of the hill and after attending him, returned for a fast find. My son swapped a blue stone for a 5 pence coin. TFTC SL.

08-Dec-11
Quick and easy find. TFTC!

08-Dec-11
Found together with nadya. Enjoyed bicycle ride along the trail.

03-Dec-11
This needs a new logbook as the old one is full

03-Dec-11
Woo! Cache #5! Had to dodge two doggies and their muggle as I was returning it.
Needs a new logbook as this one is full!

28-Nov-11
Rode here after work and snuck down to the cache location after dodging all of the doggy owners. The Yarra was right up and flowing swiftly after all of the rain we've had recently. There was a spider on the covering rock but luckily it was content to just stay there.

Thanks juliok for giving me a reason to come to this nice little spot again.

25-Nov-11
Picked this one up after a school function in Kew. Kids loved the playground. A pleasant evening and caching experience.

20-Nov-11
The log book is very full and a little on the damp side.

20-Nov-11
Found at 14:25 on a bike ride. Left a geocoin. I've ridden by on the opposite side of the Yarra many times and even had a barbecue or two in the nearby park, but never had the chance to explore this bit of the park. Thanks.

Enjoyed a nice relaxing Sunday around the area & thought we'd do a cache or two! Gave this one a try & it was strange to suddenly hear voices from nowhere! Then realised they were simply rowers & not other geocachers searching! Took a bit longer to find this one as there were so many great spots for a hide. But eventually found it! Yay! Took motorbike GC to drop off somewhere else. 1st GC found in months!!! SL. TFTC. Smile

Took a bit of finding, but got it eventually. Had a nice hot dog from ikea to reward myself. TFTC!

28-Oct-11
Left work and decided to do a few caches on the way home.
I arrived at this cache after one down poor and before the next one.
Parked at the end of the nearby street and walked past a muggle on the swings.
Found the cache easily, there was a toy plane out the front of the cache hiding location.

Find #240

A few daddy daycare errands to run saw me out here with the geoniors.

Again, with the dodgy knees at the moment, I found getting down to this one a little bit difficult, but all in all a well placed hide

Hello, logging my personal tracker to calculate distance Smile

13-Oct-11
13/10/11 4:24 PM Find #498 - This one took me a bit longer than expected as its well hidden. Lots of rowers went by...I'd like to try that one day. About to give up and then realised I was basically sitting over cache - Nice! Signed and rehidden. TFTC.

30-Sep-11
Found at 12.55pm by Mrs 80 who was doing it solo today. Remember this one being published as it was the same time as one of ours but had never been this way on a caching mission. Was in sight of GZ when Mr 80 phoned in and offered to come and help due to the terrain but the help was not required and the cache quickly found and log signed - even with the rain of the last few days the cache and log were dry. TFTC

19-Sep-11
Found at 2.24pm with shazaron. Thanks for the cache! Smile

05-Sep-11
Out on a legendary cache run with caching buddy Trailrunning. For the first time, we actually completed the whole list and added a few more on the way home to meet the 50-find cache mark. Started early at 5.45pm all the way till 2am before we went home tired, but happy. 2 DNF's along the way but an awesome run all the same.

My final one of the day. Grabbed this one on the way home to complete my tally of 50. Nice and easy find for this cache at 2am. No muggle trouble here and it was all quiet and peaceful. TFTC juliok and for a visit to this place Smile

Great spot.
Nice hide

07-Aug-11
After a nice, long lunch just across the river at Fenix, we stretched the kids legs and ours with a quick play here. Alpha male and beta female wandered down the bank for a quick explore, but the lure of the playground was too much, so Dad was left on his own... The myriad of geotrails and evidence of frantic searching created a lot of unnecessary diversions before I stood back, let my GPSr settle, looked sensibly and found the hide almost straight away. Ahh, rewarding Smile

TFTC in this lovely little spot.

05-Aug-11
After an enjoyable visit to the Old Melbourne Gaol in the morning, I thought it was time to locate some geocaches. A nice find in a good area. SL TFTC

01-Aug-11
Even though the Cache name and the Park name matched, I was still a bit concerned that the river was getting closer faster than the GPSr was counting down!
Got there just in time.
Thanks, Robmc.

01-Aug-11
Got a few curious looks from muggle mums and muggle bubs in the park, but i was sneaky enough. Great hide, TNLN TFTC Smile

30-Jul-11
Nice little spot this, haven't been down this way before. GPS was not impressed with the amount of tree cover so found it by instinct in the end as co-ords were way off. Log book was a bit damp, signed anyway, took dinosaur, left bank-note.

24-Jul-11
Had a little time to spare this arvo, so I headed off to find a couple of caches and try out my new geocaching toy (android phone). It was getting dark when I arrived at the GZ, and the area was pretty slippery. I had visions on ending up in the drink, and spent about 20 minutes hunting around before I finally located the cache.

Submitted a temporary log with the phone and included a photo because I could, and it's a really nice park.

Thanks juliok - Great place

With a few hours up my sleeve I headed to this great little park spot.

As I jumped out the car I noticed a muggle in plane site of my direction so I was concerned wether to wait.

As it turned out when I looked closer he was sound asleep in the car.

It was a quick find after having a few concerns on a likely GZ.

TFTC Smile

Easy find on a brisk night.. was glad I could get an almost drive by, and quick find in as the weather wasn't too friendly.. Thanks Juliok for the hide and my 1232nd find.. TNLN dipped night caching geo coin to mark the occasion..

29-May-11
Quick find, much easier than I expected.TFTC

28-May-11
Found this one this evening whilst in the area. Went very gingerly down to GZ watching my step all the way on the potentially slippery sownhill bits. Found the cache after a short search, signed the log and put it back! Thanks to juliok for putting a cache here.

25-May-11
Was in the area to do a Mountain Goat brewery tour, tried to find the cache in the dark in a hurry, but couldn't pick out the right spot. Came back a few hours later after having a few pints, looked around in the pitch black darkness with my phone light, and found it! I was pretty happy to have got it the second time around, couldn't see much of the park but enjoyed the challenge.

Lovely park in a secret locale. Nice hide but not too hard. Just make sure you wear suitable footwear. Added a small magnetic dart for kids to swap TFTC?

Found by Bob at 1130

It was a pretty miserable morning and I was running a bit late for work - but I wanted to fill in this date with a find, so I detoured a bit and headed down to this nice little strip of park. I've been caching along here before, as there was an old Biggles Bear puzzle cache ("DEW Line") which involved lifting the protective cap off one of the star pickets holding up temporary fencing along here a few years back. Anyway, on such a miserable morning, I had no trouble with muggles and the cache was a nice, quick find.

TNLN

Thanks juliok

Found 9.15am
Managed to find a parking spot not too far away and walked past the muggles with dogs to get close to GZ. Then when it was clear we moved in for a quick search.

Thanks juliok

Parked close by just on dark - a quick find and we were out of there. TFTC

20-Apr-11
This was my first cache for the day and it's a bad omen if I have to DNF it. It puts a cloud over the whole day when I miss the first. And it was actually raining when I attempted this, and the whole area was soaked - not a good situation once I realised what the area around GZ was like.

I dutifully followed my GPS up and down, back and forward, but all in a relatively small area, looking in all the possible/likely hidng spots. I eventually found it, but I'm not sure why I left it so long to check that particular spot. I thought I'd been to this park for caching in the past, but it appears not. Thanks for the cache, and for showing me another great park.

15-Apr-11
great location - fell a few times and got covered in mud - but great

03-Apr-11
Took a little while to find this one - there had been some flooding but the cache is nice and dry. What a lovely area. Thanks juliok.

Nice to find this finally. I knew it was meant not to be this hard but I had a mental block. I had ruled out its location as I thought it unsuitable but this time I was going to open the mind. It was easy today and a good little hidey hole. Love this park, it is a part of my walking track for excerise. So much better here than on the other side where you can get mowed down by cyclists and joggers.
Thanks for the cache.

16-Mar-11
Found quickly. Nice hide. TFTC.

06-Mar-11
Found today as part of my clear the Richmond/Burnley area out of caches attempt. (Sorry xambo4u, I found it fairly easily, don't you hate it when that happens?) This was my last cache for the day. I was able to park nearby and it was an easy stroll to the cache. I signed the log and returned the cache to it's hidey hole. On my return to the car I saw the amusing site of some parents 'toilet training' their small son to wee against a tree. We start 'em young in Australia! His look of concentration was hilarious (to boy, not his dad!). Thanks for the cache juliok

02-Mar-11
12.30 Have no joy with this one at all. I have had three goes at it in my lunch time as I work close by. It is on my usual circuit of walking up to Victoria Street and coming back. I used to include it as part of the square along Burnley Street with it but I enjoy this park so much that I just turn back now. It would be interesting to know how many DNF's there have been as the vegertation indicates that there have been a lot of people round. GPS arrow keeps moving around and so do I. This time I was rewarded with some coins, so thanks guys. I think I need a hint.
Great area, sad about the rubbish here now.

23-Feb-11
With the great weather on offer today I couldn't pass up a chance to get out and find a cache at lunchtime.
I passed some swish houses on the way in and, like always, the streets around these types of houses are always packed with tradies maintaining them in working hours.
Signing the log was done quickly (mozzies!) and I was on my way again.
Took: Swiss GC and glass egg. Left: Frog and ring.

Cheers juliok, thanks for showing me an interesting little park.

22-Feb-11
Caught up with my good buddy Blacklegend (Marshy) for an early Melbourne cache run. Were supposed to grab this cache on a few of our previous cache runs but we always seemes to run out of time before we got to it, but not today. Tree cover played up with the GPS'r a bit but we eventually locked onto the hide. TFTC.

22-Feb-11
Found on another caching run with my good mate Marty (Quasar3671). Took a while with this one as our Garmins were playing a bit of havoc in the tree cover. I switched to the iPhone, and had a good lock at 2m away before i made the find where i didn't expect it. TFTC. Nice park.

17-Feb-11
17/02/2011 12:47 Found: #268 A very lovely park. One of the nicest walks I have done this close to the city. Loved the bell birds song. The terrain rating and warning are accurate as I managed to slip over in all the mud wearing my work clothes. Not a good look Sad People are looking at me oddly on the tram. I wonder why? Took path tag, left geo coin. TFTC SL

15-Feb-11
The cache is in good working order now. I collected the Linda Fay TB and left a Bendigo geocoin. Thanks juliok

14-Feb-11
Back on line, and dropped off Linda Fay TB.

11-Feb-11
Went to check up on the GC today. It was still there, but completely water-logged! This sistema container aren't as water-proof as they would seem. I'm attempting to dry the logbook, but I think it could be a lost cause. Will re-enable in a couple of days time.

10-Feb-11
Went out in my lunch time for a walk and thought I would check this one out. Knowing that the latest rains may give this one grief I was not surprised I could not find it. The water level indicated that it must have come up some 5 metres as there is rubblish wrapped around the trees that far up. The edges are very mushy. I will check it about again in a month or two.
I walk along this path regularly as it is a better option than the other side where you can get mowed down by bikes and joggers.
Get little park
Thanks

Found in the company of the Chief on an afternoon when I thought we weren't caching, foolish of me really....

Just on our way past heading to Ikea and noted this new cache. EB Nano enjoyed the swings while the Chief hunted out the cache, which he found far too quickly according to our playground tester! TFTC

15-Jan-11
This rather nice little park was very wet underfoot at 7.30am this morning.
The ground was squelchy and the yarra was running well after the rain.
The cache was quickly found once the GPS settled down.
Nice start to the day
Thanks juliok

Find # 1814 @ 13:45
Nice stroll in the park. Thanks juliok!

09-Jan-11
It didn't take too long to find the hiding place today - helps to be on the right side of the Yarra! Had to walk past a couple of muggles near the playground but they seemed preoccupied and although was cautious with other voices carrying across the river it was all fine for a quick grab and log. Smile TFTC

Found 14:55, our first for a lazy afternoon of caching, although we did need to invoke our phone a friend option [B)]

TNLN, CSI=3, thanks juliok.

I needed a cache to fill in the calendar day and this filled the bill nicely. I didn't park as close as I might have but on a lovely day the walk through this rather hidden little park was most enjoyable. The cache was found without any problems, thanks juliok.

Heading home after visiting the Vic market this was the first cache of the day. We have visited this park quite a few times for geocaching now, there was a particular mystery that bought us back a few times before we located it. The trees certainly have grown since we were here last. The GPSr led me straight to the well hidden cache
Thanks juliok for the cache

Found this one at 16:10 while on route between Christmas dos on opposite sides of the bay. I was a little worried when I saw the potential hiding spots at GZ but the geocacher recognisable hiding MO soon had me with the stash in hand for our 45th STF Smile.

Yes, a very nice little park on this pleasant afternoon but it did hide a mystery cache many years ago!

TNLNSL, although our 1st traveller into the cache geocoin had a visit to mark the occasion. Thanks and [red]M[/red][green]e[/green][red]r[/red][green]r[/green][red]y[/red] [green]C[/green][red]h[/red][green]r[/green][red]i[/red][green]s[/green][red]t[/red][green]m[/green][red]a[/red][green]s[/green] juliok.

*FTF*, Merry Christmas. Saw this one pop up early, couldnt really sleep so decided to head out and get it. A nice early morning drive with no traffic, how wonderful; arrived at the park and greeted by some possums, made way to Gz and soon had the cache in hand. Found 5am. Many thanks for the prize; a nice spot, sat and listened to the wildlife for a bit before heading off for another cache before heading home.
