Looked in passing..... definitely a disabled cache.... but interesting location.
Visited GZ and it indeed is no longer suitable to hold this container. I'm going to give this a re-think, but it seems to be pointing at needing to be republished.
9/09/12 10:31 AM There's some serious rail works here. Got to GZ but its just an empty space and the hint was no good. Bugger. I do like this railway station and hope to return here to have another look for the cache in Summer.
Man on dozer stopped us from getting to closer so not sure if there as he was moving a lot of things around.
It's still there, and lots of work continuing on the track. Great clue, but I almost missed it!
Much to my surprise I found this one as the railway boys appear to be undertaking a significant track upgrade. Cache safely hidden away again. Thanks for the interesting lesson relating to Nelson's railway history. TFTC
2nd day on a trip to the south island. Great weather and some good caches. Soon had this one located. SL TFTC
Good find after the rain had gone in an area I have been before. A note was left in it by a non-cacher.

Took me a while in the dark without gps, the hint helped me at last. Cheers! Out: coin
Delightful station and a bit of a surprise - our PQ's don't let us see photos on the cache pages. We laughed when we saw it. All quiet on a Saturday morning. There was a muggle note in the cache but seemed safe enough. Found straight away with the good hint. Enjoyed the nice marae we parked by. Left German geocoin. GINO TFTC
Quick find whilst having nearby picnic lunch at japanese gardens
This cache is missing a pencil by which to sign log, I needed to use a paperclip to scratch my log into the logbook
No trains but Evie was still worried hearing the trucks go by

I saw the train operating today as I drove down Atawhai Drive on a Quest. Luckily there was no sign of it upon my return. Glad to have finally knocked this one off. It was starting to bug me as a "closest cache" every time I drove out of town. Now another cache will be able to instead.

All quiet on the tracks today.
Didn't notice the hint until after we saw the cache.

After soo many attemps at this one without the gps, finally brought it along to help out. Still no luck! But on this final occasion i saw it straight away as it was poking out, Yay! But couldnt sign the log as there was no pencil. Good to have this one ticked off!!
Spotted the cache before finding the hint. All quiet on the tracks today so no issues with puffing billy's disturbing the peace. TFTC
A quick find while in the area this morning. Cache was visible from several metres away so I have concealed it a bit better. Signed log, TFTC!
Put Jacob on train lookout when I went in to grab the cache. Went on the train later and pointed out hiding spot to Liz, she wasn't too impressed but when she knew it was only me in the potential harms way was less worried.
So much for the track not being in use until labour weekend. We nearly wet ourselves as a train came around the corner honking at the worst possible moment of heads down putting the cache back...
Given our experience I suggest the cache page be modified to either the correct train times or expect one at any time. Thanks.
Beaut cache thanks. Dog walker must have been wondering about mr interest in the rails, fortunately I had yet to zero in. Train must have been early or late, all quiet.
Didnt know this was here even though we been to this area before,Will have to come back in daylight to have a look.thanks for the cache
This was my 400th cache !!! Thanks heaps for the cache. Was a great place for a cache found by MR Liquorboy. A special spot that we are sure to return too. Thanks for the great cache
Nice walk interesing spot - glad it was on our list of must do caches Thanks LGM
Real cool spot that we didn't know was here. Practiced walking on the tracks like when we were kids.
Andre and I wandered here (aqgain) through a quaugmire and found the cache due to the excellent clue. Mordor was a bit late for soccer at nearby Neal Park (its a bugger that seniors have to play in outragous conditions but those are the games we remember) but all good. Cheers.
Getting pretty muddy on the way up to this one and it took a few minutes to track down the cache in the rain. Some really interesting info in the cache description - TFTC!
Had some business we had to do in sunny Nelson today and while we were up this end of town and not wanting to wander into the water after other caches suggested we could do this cache now it was available a quick park and short wander up to GZ - not a hard find at all - but I hadn't even realised that his station was here before !!! even though I had visited the nearby gardens before !!! thanks for bringing us here signed the log thanks for the cache
As we were in the area today and the Navigator steered me to this cache A quick find as it was very visible on our arrival so after signing log and replacing the stones were replaced!
Thanks for the cache
Thanks for the cache
I had loaded this one to my GPS before it was disabled, so did it today without knowing it had recently been disabled. Can't really see why it needs to be shifted ...

This was a really cool experience. although my jeans are ruined now.... I bought a great hiking trouser instead TFTC
great cache took me a while reread the hint and finally the penny dropped it had no pen in it so i couldnt log my cache took some pics of my wife walking dharma the dog left a card of a bird a kaka.
I manage to find this cache before it was disabled, and I am only just logging all my finds now, sorry for the delay. Cheers Bo
Well, that just kind of happened. The Kiwi station one day, then the Tui station 3 days later. - - - Being a Nelsonian from way back, I can tell you that local knowledge definitely didn't help with these We were interested to find the station here - - -it looked wonderfully picturesque. I had one spooky moment as I bent down to pick up the cache and a large truck suddenly sounded like a train!!!! - - - All good fun. TFTC
Hmmm, had to wait for a train to pass before able to search, have you read the guidelines lately?

CAUTION: Every Sunday after Labour weekend, between noon and 4pm, the Nelson Railway Society use this track. Please be aware the cache will not be available and you can be run over if you insist on it!. Cache page and attributes updated.
A quick lunch time find, cache was visible from 5m away. Returned it a little bit better but still some colour showing. Great to see this area upgraded and a new cache in place. Some interesting history too. Thanks.
Nice early morning walk.
Contains a bolt, screw, yo-yo type piece of metal, several laminated business cards (spam?) and the log.
No pen or pencil.

It started with a pencil. Always cache with a pen or pencil yourself. As for the spam - yes, we have had someone visit Nelson recently who was putting advertising in all the caches he visited. It has been noticed and frowned upon. As I encounter them, even in other people's caches, I have removed the advertising and thrown it in the bin. I'm quite annoyed at this.
We were wondering as we approached GZ would there be a Tui Railway Station or a sign saying Yeah Right? Delighted to see the little station as pictured. Presumably it was never very busy. From other logs we thought we may have some difficulty with the hide, but went straight to it. Thanks for showing us this historic spot - and our first cache in Nelson.

TFTC found some extra arrows around, which fooled the kids! Left fridge magnets and going nuts travel bug
We took a very long way around to get this, but a perfect evening and a suitable last cache of the year. Loved the history in the description. Tftc
Nice One!!!!!!!!! Picked this one off with Grandson Bryn. No worries as co-ordinates were spot on. Neat bit of history especially if you have been down the Dry Weather Road to Tui. Met up with Grandma usakiwi and gran'daughter Meg for a stroll around the Japanese gardens. Much fun! Thanks.
spent a little bit of time looking around for this one. found easily once we looked at the GPS again.. nice cache
A quick find for the junior members of the Beanso team who seemed very quick to point it out.
Had hoped to log the other cache that was in this location after
finally cracking the puzzle. Oh dear, will just claim this one instead.

Nice quick find today but I am very cross with myself for not going to look for it on the 24th for an easy FTF. I saw the new ones come in and thought (without looking) that this was absolutely miles away. So I finished a report then headed off in the opposite direction to some of the new ones and to complete Biggles challenge. I know where it is now though! TFTC and the history lesson. #1714
A good way to work off a little Christmas excess with a walk around this area. Took a couple of the MacLeod clan with me to GZ. Well this area has changed a bit since I last searched for a cache here. Spotted cache, a little tricky to extract but OK in the end. Nice one. TFTC, Biggles.
FTF at 8.30pm. We had intended going out for the closest to home just after 8. Then realised a new one was out and less than 3km away. Sobad found a shortcut that gave us wet feet but we were still not confident that we would be first until we saw the blank log. Left coin. TFTC
