On our second day caching around the Shire with the aim of collecting some nearby adventure labs and caches in the area to fill in some gaps we still have for the Sutherland Shire Cachers’ Challenge. Parked above and made our way down the GZ to make a very quick find. Signed the log and replaced as found. Both the cache and log are in good condition. Thanks for the cache mrryanmurray.
The following TBs came through for the mileage : Bob geoMinion, Dave geoMinion, Evil geoMinion, Jerry geoMinion, Larry geoMinion, Mary Hyde's Treasure, Stuart geoMinion, teamMerlin's 7 Deadly Ducks Tag (Lust), Vanlith The Youngling, Hidden Creatures Geocoin TB, teamMerlin's Football

Great view, excellent condition. Hint is definitely helpful. Harder to get to than I thought it would be.
Thank you
Thank you
I can't remember the last time I cached in the Shire with any real purpose. Today there was so much to choose from and under beautiful clear skies, Mizmaz and I tackled a few specific caches so I could complete various challenges.
this one took us alot longer than we expected, but glad to add our names to the log.
Thanks to all the CO's for your hide.

Brushing away the webs of caching-lockdown, eagerly accepted invite and company for a day out in the Shire. Mr Rat had some specific targets in mind for a challenge he was completing, some of which ended up helping my own progress, while others, especially those with quick finds or requiring teamwork, provided bonus smileys along the way. Finding obvious spot empty and noting a recent dnf, we were almost ready to give up when we spotted a likely container out in the open a bit further away. With some log paper inside confirming a “dislodged find”, returned it where the arrow had originally and adamantly kept taking us.

With cache in hand we signed the log and replaced as found. Both the cache and log are in good condition. Thanks for bringing me to the area and thanks for placing the cache mrryanmurray

While out on our first afternoon geocaching in Australia on this current visit this was one of the caches on our target list. The cache itself was soon found once at Ground Zero. We signed the log book and replaced as found and then took some moments to enjoy the view before continuing on our way. Thanks so much for the cache and for having bought us to this very nice location. Greetings from Zimbabwe
I needed a quick one early this morning as i have half a dozen jobs that need doing later today and dont have the time for a hike out to a bushland cache today.
After following a car towing a boat down to the end of Port Hacking Rd i found an easy carpark and headed down to the dock where a group of fishermen were enjoying the sun and the calm waters.
Heading around to the GZ i was happily out of sight of the muggles. I ended up finding the cache in the third place i looked.
A nicely constructed cache its a pity the lid has fallen off. The log that is currently in there is dry however and has plenty of space.
Thanks.

GPS had me out on the rocks where it would have floated off long ago, but some photo logs and common sense helped me make the find. No lid on cache so any log won’t last long but the replacement from last August is holding strong for now. TFTC just 4 suburbs left on the shire caching challenge now
Well where do I start with this one. Got to parking area and trusty GPS sent me up the road. GPS settles and I head back down the hill. Getting towards GZ I read earlier logs and was worried I couldn’t sign the log. So back to the car with replacement piece of paper. Back down to GZ and I kicked something that glistened in the sun. It was the cache. Well I found it but I’m sure this is not the spot it’s meant to be in. I read the hint and replaced the cache to rock on as described. New log in the container however it won’t last long. I’d still suggest maintaining this geocache. TFTC now I should get back to work. Visited some trackables.
The water looked so beautiful here today.
With muggles loading their boats we walked towards the bushes and spotted the perfect hidey hole - CIH
Cute container/ camo combo but the lid is missing and log is falling apart
Collected loads of rubbish and binned it

Had a good look around but despite the obvious hint and previous spoiler photos, I could not find it.
#100 Yay, Great morning for a walk and a cache close to home. Sunny, calm and very pleasant, should have bought my fishing gear or some mates water skiing. Log is deteriorated and cache has no lid. TFTC mrryanmurray
Beautiful day for the caching with Everlasting and found it with no problem. Love your cache. Thanks for organising the caches
Quick find once I got to actual GZ (went way off onto the rocks at first). Cache in desparate need of some TLC though, logroll nearly fallen apart. TFTC.
22/6/17. 12:34 PM. Cache #5138.
7th of 10 finds (& 1 DNF) - Kareela, Taren Point, Caringbah South, Port Hacking, Dolans Bay, Macquarie Park, Marsfield.
Nearing the end of today's caching in the Shire, I found that by going to "Goldfinger2013" and then this one, I could tick off two more suburbs for the Sutherland Shire Challenge.
I headed down to the boat ramp and then turned aside to head towards the bush and GZ. Having checked the hint, there was only really one likely place for it to be and sure enough there it was. With its rusted off lid, the log inside was a bit tattered (not quite a pulpy mess, but not great). OK enough to sign though, once I'd unrolled it. Could do with a new container. I just had enough battery on my phone for one more cache, so I went for another look at "Surf and Turf (Kids Cache)". TFTC.

We headed out on a geocaching weekend with Rapidlywild to collect the new puzzle trail in Helensburg and others along the way. The weather was not kind, in fact it was downright revolting at times, but we persevered through the rain, flooded roads and detours to collect the smileys. We tackled the trail and arrived in the Sutherland shire just on dark, time to find the hotel and grab a bite to eat before heading back out to grab a few more for the day.
We were spoilt for choice in this area as neither Rapidlywild or us had cached here before, there were quite a few slippery steps and slopes to tackle down to the water, but we managed to collect a nice bagfull before heading into the city to play our other addiction and grab a puzzle and an earthcache.
Apologies for the generic log, thanks to the cache owners for the placements, collecting them on this wet day only added to the adventure.

With the long weekend upon us, plans were in place with FurfacesLL to head towards Helensburgh to do the newly released puzzle series and what ever comes up. Weather in Helensburgh was far from pleasent....... we got pretty wet, came across some flooded roads, and some yucky leaches. We cached in Helensbough, Cronulla, Harbour Bridge, Bowral and even Goulburn lol we went everywhere [:p]
We had a swag of options available to us, so it was a matter of using the "Find Next Closest" on the GPSr and we let it make the choices for us Apologies for generic logs, lots of finds, lots of fun, slippery walkways, stairs and plenty of water lol.
Thanks heaps to FurfacesLL for another awesome weekend away, thanks mrryanmurray for the cache placement [^]

Found at 4:40 PM in the company of pprass.
Arrived in a lovely spot and watched a family fishing off the rocks. We glanced around to where the GPSr was pointing and – groan – what is all of that rubbish doing there. Nice work on the cache camo, but the lid has rusted off.
Thanks mrryanmurray.

A mainly overcast and rainy day, but it was still nice to look across the bay and watch a group of muggles fishing off the rocks. Nice work on the cache camo.
Thanks mrryanmurray.
Feedback: Lid has rusted off the container and there is now a bag of rubbish strewn all around GZ which ruined the experience to some extent.

Like other logs have stated, the lid has come off. I wish I had had a spare zip lock bag. I couldn't sign the log, as it was too soft. Photo attached.
Hey....today i going to cachen with my bike , the box was a easy found, but the box is not korrekt , please lock , you need a new contain all the best Diddyhonda.

Even though the muggle appeared to be looking out across the water, I pulled out my phone and started up pokemon go. I thought my comments about the game would make good cover if he looked around. Managed to catch a pokemon that is rare in my normal area too! Meanwhile, bikerbuddy found the cache.
Thanks

We wandered down here and found a guy sitting not too far away from where our GPS indicated. He was looking across the water, so we went for it. I have to say, I spotted this one immediately, despite the camo (or even because of it?) making the whole thing much easier. Thanks

Log is signed as ADI aka AlphaDeltaIndigo
Geobuddy: Lizbombaywali
Liz is visiting me in Sydney and one of my other muggle friends George took us out for a dive and for boat ride. At 30m from embarkation point, I couldn't say no to the opportunity in claiming a find! If we weren't on a boat, it would have been a qaepag. It was quick and easy though!
The cache lid is missing and the log is kinda damp.

Had to wait for tourists to stop watching us... Made out way to gz soon after CIH
Not too difficult! Be careful..lots of broken pieces of glass. My niece stepped into one...
Found with grandson Lucas after he took the geocacher's oath on the Garmin GPS re Muggles, secrecy etc.

Easy park on a cold and wet week day then down to GZ in search of a cache. Some muggles fishing on Wally's Wharf but out of sight while I check out potential hides. Spotted something that could be it, but below tidal zone so disregarded that one. Followed the hint and there it was - the minty log! Nice camo! Lucky I had my geotweezers to extract the log. Another wonderful discovery within the Shire. TFTC TNLNSL. #117 for Brewmaker.
Gosh it took us many goes to find this but we did it (with some help). It is our very first one. Onwards now to further locations.
Took the coin and left a loom band.

TFTC Thank you for going to the effort of hiding this cache. You have shown us a new place and have helped make geocaching an enjoyable activity.
Very clever hide, had to sit down and think about it but found it after about 10min
I'm over from NZ visiting my brother who lives just down the road. Out for a walk with the dog on this lovely morning and I persuaded him to help me find a couple of caches. A nice quick find, nice camo. My first in Australia!
The car parks quite packed. The ward is full of fishermen muggles, however it didn't deter us from our hint,Soon arrived at GZ and found what we came for. TFTC

Whilst on a detour from doing the Jungle Book series up the road, we took the opportunity to find this one in a spare moment. The machine said this way but my geosenses said that way. After sweeping away the cobwebs I had CIH. Log a teeny bit damp.
This was a typical "the GPS says it's here but it cannot be here because of a, b and c." . Once I truly believed that I found it within a second more than necessary.
Now I've got to cycle up that hill again.... TFTC!

One of a few remaining suburb caches needed for the Shire Challenge. A few muggles about but we soon realised the hide was out of sight of the launch area but the GPSr had us in one area which looked a little tidal so we shifted a little and made the find of the well cammoed hide. Certainly more than the listed D1.5. We completed the signing duties and re hid. TFTC

With a couple of 'must-do' caches on our list, we spent the day in lovely Port Hacking.
Watched a couple of muggles take their boat out of the water,
before heading around to find the well camouflaged cache.
Many thanks for placing this cache, mrryanmurray, for us and others to find.

I headed down from Newcastle last night to spend today caching around the Sutherland Shire area, and this was yet anther beautiful spot along the water to visit. There were a number of muggles around putting their boat into the water, but fortunately the cache was well hidden away from their line of sight.

Great cache. Difficult but use your geosenses. GPS plays up a little here so keep looking. Geoson found this one where we thought it might be but could not see properly. Good hint too! Could not see a trackable here.
