Better attempting and finding this one on the way South. Parked nearby and the cache was soon in hand. Must say there was a large amount of SWAG in the container, random!A big day of caching beckoned today, and that's just the way I wanted it to be, and why I'd stayed overnight in Upper Hutt after travelling down yesterday arvo. I had designs on taking my (wife's) tiddly Tiida out the back of Carterton/Gladstone and knock over those Nifty Swifty solves and realign into the GeoArt they deserve to be. I had a lot of help with the solves, I'll admit, but collaboration often comes back around again so that's fine. The good thing about hitting a powertrail of Geo-Art 'early' is; the caches are almost certainly still at their original placements (no cache creep), they're in good condition (no ripped baggies, rusted mint-tins, muddy outers) and the early finders might be able to remember to help with a tricky find.As it was there were no anomalies and all of the series were found, along with a couple of random skindo extras near to the new placements (research will sort which ones out). It was just under 80 finds for the day, just under 5 hours from first swifty find to the last one, and plenty of dust on the tiddly Tiida. A good day with sun, rain, light wind and heavy gusts )aka Summer in Palmy!)Thanks to all COs, an advancement on my finds of Wellington region COs caches
A quick easy find at this location. We were amused to see Dr Doctor listed on the plaque. TFTC
Here for a wedding (profile name) and decided to see if I could grab this one as it hadn't been found for 6 months. At first had no luck, tried the other side and boom found it straight away! Cleaned out some leaves, added some swaps, TFTC!
Easy find, we've spent 3 nights at racecourse camping area. Quick find before we head out for more adventure & more geocaching today.
I was heading over to the Wairarapa this afternoon after work, in order to spend the weekend with friends and take in the sights, sounds and tastes of the Greytown Festival of Christmas.
With me in the car was the Seagnoid, and we both wanted to stop to get a cache or two along the way in order to keep our respective streaks going for the current Wheel of Challenges thing happening right now.
We were also mindful of the desire to set up tents etc with a bit of daylight to help us, so wanted a quick park n grab if we could get one, and this one seemed like it would fit the bill.
It turned out we were right. Lots of available parking close to GZ, and tS made the quick find as per the Hint. The log was signed as T.A.T.S (for TwigNZ and the Seagnoid) before being replaced as found.
Thanks for setting it up.

TwigNZ and I headed over to Wairarapa for a Team Zero event (yes, we have named our group at long last!). Greytown have a midwinter Festival on (and man, it was cold, but everyone was out on the streets celebrating with snow and various hot toddies). We both wanted a cache today for the GCHQ Souvenir Challenge, which this month is a streak, so we stopped here. Nice easy find amonst the Tradescantia.
Back home for a few weeks. On the way from Wellington airport we stopped for one cache. (Well
One find as the previous was a dnf). Remember having a cross country race here and staying on a school camp at the location. TFTC.

Mr P was off cycling so I did my best to fill in time with cache hunting. Thanks for this one
Found in the second place I looked . Always good to claim another skindo cache, thanks!
A quick find on a sunny day. It needed to be quick and I needed a different stop on the drive home. TFTC and for the interesting wall
A quick park and grab while on the way to Greytown with Talla64. Thanks for drawing our attention to this area and for the cache.
With Flowerydaze on a wine trip to the Wairarapa. First one on the list was this one which turned into a quick find for FD while I was still looking where to start. TFTC Skindo
The last one for me today on my trip over to the Wairarapa. A quick and easy find. TFTC
I was in Martinborough to do the Patuna Chasm adventure yesterday with a group of Wellington friends. Pouring with rain on the way home, but stopped here to see if I could pick up this cache. Had to move to let a big caravan out the gate, then spent 2 mins seeing if this could be a quick find. But no. Too wet for much of a search. Putting it on my Watchlist for possible future attempt.
Picking up a few caches on our way home after the long weekend. Quick find here.
Thanks!
Thanks!
Have been in Masterton for a week of work. Managed to get time off and head out to collect some caches. Very quiet here today. No muggle or horse to be seen. Thanks for the smiley.
Always odd logging a find on a live skindo A previous finder accompanying us provided ‘Info‘ about the easiest side to tackle this from.
Nice quick find on our way back over the hill. Log is a bit damp but could still sign.
Container had a hole - I happened to have a little bluetack! Left a blue monster finger puppet. Thanks for the cache, skindo!
There was a race meeting on here today and we arrived just as everyone else did too! Searched in between cars entering the gates and came up with the cache pretty quickly. The log is a bit damp.
No worries with this one, I was curious about the temporary cell tower just down the road. Got a big event coming? Cheers

It seems I heard the word Tauherenikau hundreds of times before I ever saw it written, remember the days when all the races used to be broadcast on the radio???? - - - I was very pleased to discover the place where the commentary was coming from all those years ago. Looks like it would be a cool place to go to the races too but the action's a bit slow for me. - - - Not like caching, that entertains me all day long ! Thanks for the hide !
After attending a conference in Wellington and staying with friends for a night we continued our journey north homewards, caching on the way as you do. Mr S got this one as well. All good here. Some interesting historical sites around on this route home.
Thanks Skindo.
Thanks Skindo.
On a drive up to Napier today, with plenty of time to stop for caches on the way. All safe and dry here. TFTC
Night stop-over on the way to Napier, of course we can’t miss caching around, tftc
Found while out with nz1.
Passing this way to pick up items up the road.

One of 12 located in the Wairarapa on a warm Sunday, the thermometer hitting 30+. Took a couple of minutes to find this one. Pleasant setting amongst the trees. #1643. TFTC.
One last cache to get before finally heading home. When I used to stay with my cousins during the school holidays we'd sometimes come over to the racecourse. I never noticed the memorial before - although it was when I was far too young to notice such things. Cache was quickly found. TFTC

Hmmm I have been here before, but must not have found it. No worries today though. TFTC
Day two of my mini break, or extended drive to Wellington to attend a full day meeting on Monday. Woke up in my cute cottage accommodation bright and early and after a bit of breakfast, and a plot of a plan, I was back on the road. Today's weather was not quite a forthcoming as yesterday's springlike goodness, but more of a mixed bag - dodging showers, howling gales, getting soaked and then driving around the corner to find that another section had had no rain at all. New Zealand weather - got to love it! No special wildlife to mention either.
turns out that I approached this cache from the wrong side, but I spotted it and could make the grab from where I was. Now time for lunch. TFTC

Rather grand gate and wall here, parked up inside and took a short walk across to the hide location where the cache was quickly found. Thanks for the cache.
A few familiar names on the wall that Mrs Sobad and her sister remember from family visits to Featherston many years ago. We would usually go to the New Year races here. Thanks for a cache here to add to the memories.
Day two of a two-day caching trip in Wairarapa. Easy find. Thanks skindo for the cache.
Staying at the racecourse motorcamp for a few days....impressive wall. Thanks for the cache
Cache #3,529. A big cache run through the Wairarapa with Infoferret after we completed the Pylons trail up the Rimutaka Hill earlier today. Thanks for the cache! A quick find. TNLNSL.
Thanks for the cache. I had a trip to Masterton and picked up some caches on the way .
with the weather being rubbish on Saturday I wasn't holding much hope of the weather being very nice down here, left home at 8am and managed around 28 and on our way home again by 3pm so we could get dinner on, the wind chill was strong got the rain off and on, but no where as bad as I expected it to be like, hope to make another visit down here as I have a few that need clearing up that have been on the must do list, thanks Skindo for taking the time placing all these caches, its a lot of work but if it hadn't been for you we would never have visited these roads - sorry for the copy and paste logs
Had been working in Wellington doing an installation. I also had to do a very small quick machine setup in Masterton.
I had this spare day set aside to drive up here and do my install. I completed this within a couple of hours meaning I had a little bit of spare time for caching.
Heading back to Wellington now and decided to just stop for caches that were on my side of the road and fairly easy to get to.
Saw this was right next to the road.
Parked up and checked out the hint. Headed to where I thought the cache might be and was rewarded with a quick find. Signed the log and returned the cache to its hiding spot.

The wall seems to be missing some gates, and the sign saying 'All visitors must report to...' makes this look as though the cache is on private property. Nevertheless, a quick trespass of a few feet and all was done. It adds spice to the activity! TFTC
Lol this is the entrance to jet boat sprints which is on today. Not easy grab as its busy as heck. Done the deed and off we go. Tftc
A quick park and grab today and last for day before heading back over the hill. Thanks for the cache.
