My first found in Kiwi land TFTC

Not sure why we did not find this one previously? I suspect we did try, but perhaps did not log a DNF?Anyhow with rebel98 to the GPS/phone dance, with him way over there, but I think its over here, and it is Happy to at last turn this one into a smiley, very clever camo, blends in so well.Thanks for the hide TGC4 and for bringing us here. The gate is already closed for the Huka falls, and the carpark is busy with campers, getting sorted for the night.Can not believe that Countdown/Woolworths has been demolished on the corner in town. See they are building another, so when we are next back in town, the new store will be probably open and everything will be different, but the same (they have built another Woolworths, and a little shopping centre South, this town is getting super busy!).

The only part I didn't check before heading for another area. Almost called a DNF then my partner found it. Added another roll of paper in with the existing one. Only just fits so hopefully the CO can arrange to sort. Goal days 19 / 100

TFTC Anything with the word Xmas gets me as it's my favourite time of the year. Staying at the site across the road so as part of a chilled day on our 3 month honeymoon of NZ we thought we would use the cache to go for a walk. Fabulous little cache!!

Found - Mrs McMike2012 & I now live full-time in our caravan & travel the country visiting places we want to visit & doing the things that we want to do we had been staying at the NZMCA Park in Taupo decided we would go for a walk along the Redwood Trail this was an easy find, liked the hide, so gets a Favourite Point from us, log signed & cache container easily replaced pleased to add another 'smiley face' to the tally TFTC ... TN:LN:SL ... #4,878 for us!

Mil Amerianka reagovala velmi rychle, e event posune, e m cel den volno. Domluvily jsme se na 9.30 a vyzvedla jsem ji v Meki, odlovily jsme si zde keku, proly se po promend u jezera a pak spolu strvily cel den na kekch v okol. Kousek jsme popojely kolem jezera k challengi, co jsem vera nenala, a po cest navtvily i velmi zajmav lokln hbitov s nkdy dost netradinmi maorskmi nhrobky. Odpoledne jsme zajely i ke krsnm vodopdm Huka Falls, kter nejsou pli vysok, ale jsou dlouh s velmi silnm proudem a ndhernou modrou barvou vody. Naly jsme i mstn nejstar keku po krtk prochzce kolem eky a dal keku v lese sekvojovc i sekvoj. Nikdy nevm, kter strom je kter, prost Redwood. Tak mm dvod se tam opt nkdy vydat.In the morning I visited an event and picked up the owner of the event and we spent together a sunny day hunting for geocaches and exploring the city and its surroundings. After a walk on the promenade, we drove a bit around the lake, found a few caches and saw the local cemetery at a nice church. We also found a challenge where I was unsuccessful yesterday. In the afternoon we went to see the beautiful Huka Falls and walked a bit to the oldest local cache. The event took a bit longer, but it was a nice day spent in the nice company with LKLopez. Thanks to all cache owners for their caches and greetings from the Czech republic. Nice cache, send a FAV.

We were on or way to the Hawkes Bay area for a dog tracking event and the torrential rain we had up north hit that area and the road closed. As we were almost in Taupo, we decided to find somewhere to park our vehicle for the night and hope the conditions to be improved in the morning (which they hadn't and we had to go the long way around). We stayed across the road form this hide and it would have been rude not to walk the dog after waking up and not come to see if we could log a find! Nice hide TGC4! Thanks for unexpectedly adding to our cache count on our trip! Had thought it to be a weekend I would not be able to find time for caching.

Found today after a few minutes searching around. Location is pretty heinous as some delightful person has has a massive nearby. I gues. When you’ve got to go, you’ve got to go but be careful where you’re stepping and poking around. TFTC

Amazing geocache went for a nice walk in the redwoods and then to huka falls then we looked on geocache and found it definitely recommend.

Quite a lovely walk through the trees. There is a lot of wind fall.

Found it, gosh looked all over

Just rolled in across the road to freedom camp. Needed a leg stretch after the very long drive from Northland! Funny the last to log is also a Northlander. 15m out on my device, but easily found, despite the excellent camo. TFTC!

With the Geotour coming to and end soon Yvettetb and I decided to go on a road trip to collect Tahi and Rua. Of course I had some puzzles at various places to collect and a few special types were added to the list too.

Today's plan was to get from Taupo to Rotorua collecting the tour caches and the Spot X puzzles in Rotorua. This one was on our way to Huka Falls and with the high favourite points we added it. You must have enjoyed a lot more Xmas's in NZ since this was published way back in 2010. We had two Christmas's in Switzerland which was quite a change for this kiwi girl. Didn't quite get our white Xmas but it was close. The cache was a quick find for us. Thanks for the cache
