Upon seeing this one active again, Ms Maddy was keen to grab it. After finally finding a good spot to park we headed in for the hunt. In short, we couldn't find it. I got up close and personal with the things at GZ (even thought the co-ords bounce me around a bit) and after about 20 minutes gave up. Ms Maddy was a bit more keen for another maybe 10 minutes, but no cache today. Being that it has since been archived, I guess I won't be back.
It is with regret that I have decided to archive this one. (Yes it has gone missing again) Just too hard to maintain. In hindsight, probably a good thing due to the increasing paranoia with public security. For those who have found you know what I mean . We are however astounded how long it actually did last.
Thanks to those who gave glowing praise on its construction , and also the favourite points. Some of you like clearing areas or filling in caching calendars. ,or collecting shiny's.
What I like most is watching the blue squares appear on my cache listing pages, and watch the numbers rise. So fear not my caching family, this is not the last intricate cache construction you will see from the GM62 team.Maybe I will just choose a less sensitive area.
Now on to the next construction challenge! Hmmm now there is an idea?
Cheers GM62 team

Hi Everyone Eddie's back and ready to be found. Please read the cache page carefully, and enjoy the hunt .
Sorry folks , all ready to go . Just got to find the time to place it again! Hopefully this week end?
Thanks ourkidgeo for that, now I don't feel so stupid! Do hope this one gets a new container, I'd like to try it and find it.
It's nice to see other people suffering at the velcroed feet of the geckomaster
Why should I have all the fun
Why should I have all the fun
Spent a good 30 mins staring at fondling this piece of art. I think I know every bump. I doubt the artist would ever have dreamed so many would take such a keen interest in their art. I got so obessed with finding whatever trick was there (I hope it was there) that I soon forgot about muggles and fondled some more. Poked with a pen. Took photos from above with the phone. All I had left to do was phone a friend or ask the audience and I dont want to do that yet and spoil the fun. I might just watch it for a while and see if someone else finds it. TFTH.
I'd found this one previously and thought I'd check up on it given the number of recent DNFs. Unfortunately it looks like it's been muggled.
Really hope an alternative cache container can be made as this is one of my all-time favourites.

Visited this one twice, no luck at all. Got a feeling that the cache is gone, I saw a big space about the size of a stump on the statue with nothing to fill the gap. I am thoroughly defeated.
Could I just mention that I think the cache may be gone. [?] It would be appreciated if someone could verify that for me. Thanks a bunch.
I must have walked around and poked and prodded for about 30 minutes ( I don't care who was watching or what they thought) and I'm certain that I know where the cache used to be, but a DNF for me today.
Oh what a nasty cache this one is
This would have to be one of the most devious camos I have ever seen!!
WELL DONE .
This is such an impressive cache, luckily this afternoon there were not too many people about, so I had a change to have a good look. It took a while and luckily I had Loki there to give me a hint or two
The cache is in good condition.
And again I have to say GREAT CACHE!
Thanks

What do you do when you wake up at 4:30am on a day off ?
Go back to sleep ?
Nup !! I know..... lets go for a walk into towne and grab some of those damn elusive caches that I haven't been able to find yet
I was not really paying attention to my wanderings and the first cache that appeared on the GPS was this one.
Groan
I had already been there thrice and today I did not have the bicycle for cover [:o]
I arrived to a muggle free parkland for once
Standing there I looked up at the very familiar thing at GZ.
Minutes passed with no sign of a cache.
I'm sure I saw it once before, but couldn't retrieve it.... ergo, it must be here [:(!]
Feeling around I noticed something that didn't look too odd, but it moved [:o]
I poked it some more waiting for it to fall out
Excitedly I wandered around to the other side to reach in and grab what had moved ........
......... er.......... where'd it go [:o]
Wandering back to the other side I tried poking a bit more, but the 'thing' had moved out of reach.
OK!! Back to the other side for another look ..... still nothing [:(!]
Stumped ? You bet I was
When I did work out what was going on, I had a new problem.
If I got caught with the cache in me paws I definitely did not want to explain it
Oh geckomaster62, yer got me again
This is an evil cache [^]

Not being as old as feathertop, my history doesn't include knowledge of 1930's cricketers, but his story is still very interesting. An interesting sculpture, do the number of stumps coincide with his wickets?
Great hide, and really well made.
Thanks, Robmc.

# 1220. This was our last find before our lunch break and it was looking like it was going to be a DNF. There is probably only so long that 3 people can admire a relatively small sculpture near a sports ground. There were a few people setting up promotional cars etc as there was going to be a game later in the day. Feathertop finally spotted the sneaky and brazen hide. We all admired it and were amazed at the creativity of it. A favourite point from me. TFTC
I was keen to do this one as my cricket history knowledge takes in Eddie Gilbert and his rise to fame in the 1930's
This is an interesting monument to him and what is more interesting is what you have achieved here too.
A favourite cache from me for audacity if nothing else.
I don't know where you came up with your idea for this one, very inspired.
Found just before things started to get busy here for the Lions last game this year.
Thanks

When I bowled up to GZ on the pushbike the pitch was deserted
A great opportunity to grab this elusive little cache unseen
I peered up at the spot where I had glimpsed the container on my last muggle infested visit.
Can't see it.
Tippy-toes....umm...er...still can't see it
Then the groundstaff turned up for morning tea at the nearby picinic table
Clean bowled again !!

Finally got around to picking this one up for repairs. So Eddie has left the building for a spell. Hopefully back on the weekend . Thanks for those people who awarded favourite points, even when the cache is broken. This one astounds me how long it has lasted. Never expected this longevity . Cheers Adam

I couldn't get this one on my iPhone, so BC just had to lead us to GZ. I have been to this park several times but had no idea this was here Great camo! TFTC, geckomaster.

Being relegated to the wrong side of the river for work is not all bad. There are new caches to grab.
Eddie is one of them. During an extended coffee break across the road I hit the trail to check this one out. Not being a weekend, lunch, morning or evening I was all alone. Which is good as this takes some careful observation to find. Impressive work geckomaster, I am suitably awed and impressed and amazed.
And if anyone cares, there is a great coffee shop across one of the roads near here. So my work was just perfect.

I found this with Noo82, but forgot to log it last week. We drove round in circles trying to find a place to park we eventually found a spot then walked straight to GZ. Very clever cache, a lot of effort has been put into this one. TFTC!
After attending KateRX's graduation we were heading into the city to do some wedding shopping. This cache was on out way and KateRX mentioned this cache had a fair few favorite points do we though we would check it out.
The weather wasn't that great but I had to keep on track with my one cache each day of may.
Finding the only parking space left we made out way to GZ.
We pretty much found the cache straight away as it was sitting out in the open.
We signed the log and placed it back hopefully where it would have been.
Great idea.

When I first began geocaching I could not find this one after months of caching and finding a few geckomaster caches this one was found easily. TFTC
This one had me stumped
Of course, searching for a tricky nano in the dark without a torch is often going to end with this result. Second nano failure for the night.

Found this cache while in the area on a rainy Sunday morning. This could have been a tricky one to find but I located it quickly. I like this hide. SL. TFTC.
There are benefits to caching in the rain. There was not a soul about as we headed to GZ. Lucky for us, the cache was spotted on arrival. A very well executed cache. We replaced it with care to make it a proper challenge for the next finder. TFTC
Wow. Hard. Yet again, the value of caching on a rainy day was proven as we were able to check out this interesting spot with not a muggle to be seen. I think we were quite fortunate in that the cache had been replaced sort of upside-down, which made locating it SO much easier than it might otherwise have been. Brilliantly crafted hide, super cheeky, and definitely a favourite. Kudos to you, Mr. Gecko! TFTC! =^.^=
We had the place to oursleves today which made locating this cache much easier than it might have otherwise. Great container. Well done Geckomaster62.
Really really loved this one! well designed. easy enough to find if you're looking for it but the 100's of thousands of people who wouldn't have a clue wouldn't notice anything hidden. Well done. Thanks for your time and effort with this hide.
Loved it! A brilliant hide at the stadium where my favourite football code is played. I was staying nearby and went out early before the muggles built up. Looked around for a little while than started feeling around...Aha! there it is. Tok to a nearby seat and signed log, then replaced with no one around to see me. TFTC geckomaster62, very audacious indeed!
Haha that has got to be one of the best pieces of urrban camo I have ever seen!!! Loved this cache. TFTC
Another find with Stairman1 n geodog. There were plenty of muggles watching the cricket training session. We walked up to the GZ and grabbed the container. Hid somewhere to sign it then had to decide how to place it back without being caught Thanks GM

Goldielover really had her eyes on today. Spotted it very quickly. Now the tricky part. Muggles everywhere, but most watching some, I think Indian cricket team training. Managed to quickly extract the cache for signing. Didn't seem to be too many muggles about at this point, but when I needed to replace it there seemed to be security everywhere. We tried to dissappear in the crowd. Still did not feel right. We waited quite a while before I managed to replace it without being spotted. Loved your work on this cache. Well worth the favourite point.

In deed I did see this at my last visit but unlike that occassion there was not a soul in residence when I arrived this afternoon. Cache extracted in a flash but not so for the log which took some time to release.
A large family group arrived before i could replace the cache but they were more concerned with trying to look in and around the facilities than the parkland setting nearby

Thanks GM62, for showing a visitor the town and a very well devised cache!
I knew i was in for trouble when i left 'the pineapple' tonight, without my umbrella.
Hmmm, since I was already getting wet, I might as well check out this high-muggle cache on the way home.
GPSrx was at home, and the imagery may be a bit off, but I found it in the end

Had a crack at this one but no joy. GPS a bit confused and lots of security cameras about. Got too nervous about being arrested for crimes against cricket and bailed (ahem) after about 10 minutes. TFTC anyway.
No cricket today....it is in Sydney tick.
An early arrival.....tick
As soon as I arrive a couple of groundsmen come out and have smoko.
Time for a little smoko myself then....
Now for the search...I must of spent 5 mins LOOKING at the cache before I realised what I was looking at. What an awesome hide.
A fav point for sure.

Another rad cache. Circled it for literally 20 minutes before we found it. Mlw89 had too soft of a touch, but sent me in the right direction whilst wooparse confirmed the coordinates...

Found it at 21:15. Cache and log are in good condition.
I'd stopped for a quick look this morning on the way to work but there was a woman sitting on a nearby bench who clearly didn't want her smoko interrupted.
Had a wander out this evening and saved this one 'till last with low expectations that I'd find it having read the previous logs. Was just about to head for home when I put my hand on it. Nearly made me laugh out loud.
Many thanks for a fantastic hide.

Oh how I love your hides, Mr Geckomaster. Hard to be stealthy in this location though! Found this one in company with EngPhil, MissGeosie, and SuzieQ. Decided to tackle this one while we were waiting for some muggles to vacate GZ so we could replace another cache! TFTC!

Find #587 with Palopinto, MissGeosie and geobaby at 12:27.
I had visited this cache before and even touched it but was unable to retrieve it with all the muggles around. Sundays seem a lot easier.
While waiting for muggles to clear from another nearby cache (which is a story in itself), we wandered across to collect this one. I let Palopinto do a lap of GZ first before reaching to pluck out another Geckomaster62 Special. The large ants on the ground kept the cache company as we signed the log, they were then evicted and the log replaced. Thanks once again, GM62, we love your sneaky camouflage jobs!

Ekka Public Holiday = easy parking and few muggles = ideal. We wandered over and had all the time in the world to go round and round before spotting the likeliest suspect. Very nice indeed. TFTC Geckomasters!
Found it, didnt notice it, looked around, found it again, looked closer at it then realised what I was looking at. TFTC
Very nice. I've walked past this spot many times and, having seen Geckomaster62's work before, knew exactly what I was up against. It still took me two laps of GZ before I spotted it (and touched it to confirm). Unfortunately there was way too much muggle activity for me to safely retrieve the cache, so the smiley will have to wait. TFTH, Geckomaster62. I'll be back.

Found by D and R today after the Geocaching event.
R wanted to do "just one more" before going home, so we did a quick detour over to the Gabba to have another look.
Armed with a re-assurance from GM62 - that "yes, it really is there", R's caching eyes, and a district lack of Security Guards and pink-haired vixens, we swooped in for the grab.
Signed the log and returned the cache to it's correct hiding spot without incident.
TFTC GM62 - was great to meet both of you at the event today!

Our small group - Gunnie69 Gaz'n'kab & I descended on GZ after a short walk across the park..
As we gazed @ the structure Gunnie thought he had the cache spotted then I realised not quite - there it is - a very devilish piece of camouflage Mr Geckomaster [^]
cache was soon retrieved, signed & replaced - all without drawing any undue attention on securtity camera (we hope)

I really didn't want to do this one alone so this morning was a perfect opportunity to swoop with fellow hunters Gaz'n'Kab and Kaisho53... [^]
I had spotted something that didn't look quite right, then also noticed something else that caught my eye... Kaisho53 suggested I try the latter and voila, container in hand within 30 seconds of arrival... We were pretty happy with that I might add...
A swift retrieval followed by strategic location behind the monument, the ceremonial signing of the log commenced while Kaisho played chief photographer...
Container dropped back in place, we moved on while the sneaky guy behind the camera was hopefully none the wiser...
A very nice piece of work geckomaster62. I'm liking your style... [^]

Arriving at GZ with Ms Wig, the GPS was pointing in a particular direction, but we both decided to ignore that and go straight to an obvious spot.
We admired the work for a bit then began our search... hmmmm, could be anywhere!!
I noticed something and on further inspection.... oh!!! that is just brilliant!!
... and finally broken my drought of GM62 DNFs!!
Thanks GM62, hope this one survives, it certainly deserves to be found a lot more times!!

DNF for us today. We found GZ and stood and stared and stared and felt without any success. No Security Guards came to help us nor chase us away. We felt very ignored.

Wonderful urban cache. So bold and in your face. So cleverly hidden. Well done. Rock on Eddie. Way cool. Too deadly.
Good hide, well hidden. Good talk with security guard who didn't know what we were doing. Great cache.
I was lucky to have this quiet park to myself on such a pleasant Sunday afternoon. Caches like this where the owner has put in extra time and creativity is what its all about ... very well done! As mentioned, this takes super careful retrieval and replacement. TFTC!
A very excellent hide, this is my second run at this one.
Spent a few moments at GZ while dodging a few muggles obviously engaged in some sort of community cleanup.
Grabbed cache and moved away from GZ to sign the log.

Found this one with Krelworld at about 9am sunday at a non-game match day. after retrieving the cache and signing and placing back, Krewlworl said here comes the security guard. He asked what we where doing here and told him we where on a treasure hunt/car rally. He said why have we been looking all over it and we said we needed numbers for the next clue and i showed him my GPS. He said he was going to give the police the video if anything strange was to happen.
Im Back !!!!! Please read the Cache Notes before attempting . Happy Caching & thanks to Crew 153 for coming to the rescue . We will see how long it lasts this time.

I approached the area and inspected the site.
I located the cache just as my phone rang.
I used this as a cover for me to extract the cache and sign the log.
I have removed the cache as it is damaged and I believe the damage may compromise the hide.
I will get it to the cache owner for repair.

Approaching GZ I could see two cameras and thought, "why do I do this?". To my surprise, I had the cache in hand almost immediately. Sneaky hide, this one. I don't mind being lucky now and then, so I signed the log and wandered off to find some more gekocaches.
Friday evening , just after the work-traffic is through seems to be a good time for this one. Great job on the camouflage.

Found after a close look. Very very clever hide but even on a Sunday morning, we were very anxious about the muggle factor! Thanks geckomaster62
Like Lokipagan, I was a bit apprehensive about this one. Thankfully the cache was located without incident and signed. Clever job on the cache indeed. TFTC geckomaster62
You got to be kidding me. This is one of the most rewarding almost DNF! TFTC.
Bring shoes, there are ants who are very protective of the GZ. Hint for all the other cachers: Climbing the statue makes you look like a dork and doesn't really give away the cache.
