We are on a road trip from the NSW/Vic border to Mandurah for a wedding and have spent the last three days caching around Albany and we are now heading to Augusta for the night via Denmark.Another new LGA on our travels today
I came over to WA last year for WAGB 23 and had such a great time so I decided to come back over again for this years events in Augusta. So after all of the planning with dates worked out my work decided that I could only have one week off so flying over was my only option. So I flew into to Perth and my first stop will be Busselton for 2 nights. It has been 47 years since I was in this part of WA and Im really looking forward to the re visit.Im making my way down the coast and picking out caches that look interesting to me.After spending a bit of time in Bunbury it was back to the Geo Rent a Car to continue along the coast and I then made it to Busselton.Day 5 of the trip. After caching around Busselton, Dunsbourgh and Cape Naturaliste and then Albany for 3 days it was time to head to Augusta for WAGB 24 for a few days.Roaming Howie and I headed off together to find a few along the way. There were 2 reasons for stopping in here,1 - There is a cache here and I have time.2 - Another LGA for me.Thanks champstarr TFTC.
A single cache on a long road. Good to stop and stretch the legs. Thanks for the hide, champstarr#10553
Found while on our Road Trip around the South while visiting from NZ. We have had a great trip despite having to dodge some showers. TFTC
Pretty much a drive-by, although well hidden. The road was quiet today as we made our way from Denmark through to Augusta. We were keen to stop for this one as it brings us into a new LGA. Thanks Domsky
Taurus Six and I had been keeping our eye out on the new caches that had been published around Pemberton throughout the week . As the week was nearing an end and the FTFs had still not yet been claimed we hatched a plan. We decided if they still had not been found by the end of Friday we would set off to Pemberton after work Friday , given this was still quite late , we would then stay over and make a very early start Saturday morning to find them. And that is exactly what we did. We were very surprised to wake early with drizzle and mist for weather, however it made for a very pleasant early morning. The bush all around was smelling wonderful due to the moisture in the air. The caches were all in great locations , a few were park and grabs and a few required a pleasant stroll to get them. We were also surrounded by birds predominately kookaburra, cockatoo and parrots and we did startle a couple of kangaroos , this all added to the beautiful morning of geocaching. Once we completed all the first to find and cleared up outstandings in Pemberton we headed back to Bunbury via the backroads collecting a few more caches along the way.Very happy to turn this previous blue frown into a happy yellow smiley. It was a nice quick find, log and replace this time. Thanks for maintaining this cache.
With the Motobike 3 Weeks Holliday in Western Australia. We have make the Holland-Track. Good found by the Coordinates. TFTC Pitfeder Switzerland
Having found this cache previously and was passing by I stopped for a look and it’s not where I found it. Have replaced with new mint tin
TaurusSix and I have started our Easter holiday a day early, making Thurs our first official Easter holiday day. We are heading to Pemberton and basing ourselves there for four nights while we explore the region and everything it has to offer and of course fitting in as much geocaching as practical along the way, whilst still doing lots of other things too. We love the autumn weather and there is always something special about an Easter get away.

Day five, the last day of our wonderful Easter trip. The main focus today was to meander our way back to Bunbury , exploring and geocaching along the way, of course. Firstly though we had one more geocache to collect in Pemberton at the Cascades, we were there nice and early , so totally muggle free , we collected the cache and undertook the Cascades circuit walk. A great start to the day . We then took the long route heading to Augusta first , beautiful drive but unfortunately not many caches along the way . There were plenty in Augusta though and our aim was to get as many as practical before the inclement weather turned into a downpour. Easter travellers were leaving town , the school holiday tourist were still plenty though. We made our way around the coast collecting the caches which had been placed since the last time we visited . We then collected an old cache that had been a previous dnf around the cape from the lighthouse and it was there that the heavens open and the stormy weather set in for the day. So we decided it was a good time to head home to Bunbury . It rained heavily all the way home.

Alas , given this was the only cache on route we were very keen to find it. It was not meant to be though we searched and searched to no avail .

Today we go from Margaret River to Pemberton, a sort of little roadtrip. We find some caches on the route. Thanks for the cache and greetings from The Netherlands.
We had a good look around in all the usual places. No luck unfortunately.
The usual approach road to Jasper Lake was closed due to bridge work, so we set off in search of an alternate route when this on popped up on our GPS.
We made a quick find and we were off again on our quest.

A quorum of the Fott was here so we are retrospectively claiming the find. If that's an issue let us know.
Headed down to Manji for an overnighter with AlliedOz, Kyzabra, SVKR_WA and chickenhawk07 for a couple of events and grabbing the odd smiley here and there.
A quick find was had on this one. Having a ball touring these country roads.
champstarr I found your cache at 1:28pm, this was the 10th of 13 finds for me today and brings my total find count to 6148. The cache was in good order and I replaced it as found.

With an event published in Manjimup a loose plan was put together with a majority of the FellowshipOfTheTrail guys to head down, attend and nab a few caches we had an eye on in the area, when the second event for the weekend was published we knew it was the right call and looked forward to catching up with old and new cachers alike.
Today I'm out and about on the road with FOTT members Granett, Kyzabra and SVKR_WA, tagging along is chickenhawk07 and now joined by fratra
Off to an early start from Perth we grabbed a few on the way down, but only stopping for the odd cache that served to tick of an outstanding spot in a cache challenge, as time was tight to make the first event in the am.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache champstarr you help make this game what it is.

SVKR_WA, Granett, Allied_Oz and I decided we should head down to Manjimup this weekend for the two events down there. We love a trip away and the added bonus of a second event made it even sweeter. Road trip .
We headed off early and met on the Forrest highway for the journey down. ChickenHawk07 was on board as well.
We only had a few caches in the radar which was just fine for us. A relaxing weekend rather than a powerhouse of numbers.
Teaming up with Fratra we headed out for a few oldies. This was on the way to cattleman’s camp
And was a quick park and grab.
Many thanks to champstarr for placing and maintaining Stewart is Barlees !. We found it, signed it, and put it back as found. We found this one at 1:27 pm on Saturday and this is my find 8617.

We met up early on the freeway, and headed south. Made it to the events, found a few oldies and had a great day.

Little spoiler alert if you look at the photo... happy dutchies found it!!! ️️ everything wet..
It was the second time for us in Australia. We stayed in this fascinating country from 11/08/-30/08/2019.
We started our travels in Perth and went in the following 20 days south to Bunbury, Busselton, Margaret River, Pemberton, Denmark, Albany, Hopetoun and Esperance. We continued north to Kalgoorlie, further to the West to Hyden, Northam, Muchea and Cervantes. From Cervantes we drove back to Perth with a final stop at Rottnest Island.
Besides the sightseeing spots we visited and looked for different cache types as
Traditionals, Multis, WherIGos, Letterboxes, Mysteries, Earthcaches and Virtuals. It’s all in the mix.
We could lern a lot about the hide and seek in Western Australia. Maybe we can use the gained knowledge in Germany to hide some caches the way you do in Australia.
We enjoyed these amazing 3 weeks in Down Under as we could do in 2010 and we hope to come to Australia again as soon as possible.
Sorry, the logs are not unique for each cache but we had fun looking for every single one.

A small group of us came down this way on our South Coast Tag Along Cache Tour (which was the brain-child of SeabreezeOZ). I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to make the trip, not having a "real" 4 wheel drive of my own, but Team Red Roo was more than happy to have me as a passenger to keep him company along the way. We all met up and camped at Alexandra Bridge the first night, then had a small event at Karridale before setting off. On the second day we conquered The Other Side and South Coast Hut, before heading south east towards Black Point. There was some beautiful scenery along the way to be enjoyed and most of the track was relatively easy driving, but there were a few gnarly spots here and there. We enjoyed that first part of the adventure immensely. Once at Black Point we drove around the campsites, finding a place that was big enough for all three rigs to be together in Humpback Hollow Campsite, then set up camp for the night. We tackled the two earthcaches (Pillars on the Coast and Stepping Stones or Stumbling Blocks?) at Black Point on the third morning, enjoying ourselves immensely. After that, we headed on down towards the cache at Jasper Beach and then inland to Lake Jasper where we camped the night. We found the both Jasper and Cattlemans Camp before heading back out to the bitumen a bit west of this cache. The gps was indicating a spot some 8m north of the bridge, though SeabreezeOZ insisted it wasn't over there, so we focused our efforts on the bridge and railing. Just when we thought it had beaten us, Team Red Too just happened to spot something out of the corner of his eye, and bingo, it was the cache. Signing duties out of the way and the cache replaced as found, we thought it was time to find a spot away from the road to have some lunch. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for the rest of us to come and find champstarr, and for adding another smiley to our grand 4wd adventure.
Hi there champstarr. This cache was found during the South Coast TACT which I took part in. The container and log are in good condition - SL.. Thanks to champstarr for this cache - our find #6131.

We chose this one on our drive from Denmark to Hamelin Bay due to its name. Once we stopped geoboyfriend soon had the cache in hand ready for me to complete signing duties, it was safely returned and we were back in the car and onto the next!
