Came out to tackle the island this weekend. Out of all of my geocaching trips. This was perhaps one of the coolest places I have been. We had an awesome time working around the island. I would have come here even if there wasn't caches here but it was only through geocaching I discovered it. Answers are sent. Thanks for the earth cache Arf!
Another earthcache history lesson and information session.....
Gathered all the require info and my e-mail has been sent. Only wish I had time to get out and grab a few more.

Talk about old... this was quite the ancient history lesson. Love visiting this park, we stop by just about every trip we come here. ARF, I understand your love of this area. Keep the caches coming.
Congratulations to SPD3458 who claimed 1000 finds on OLDER THAN DIRT at the Falls of The Ohio on 9.5.13. The Golden Ammo Box below has been added to the GC199TA Wall of Fame! Ooo-RAH! Thumbs UP!
In the area playing chauffeur again. After making a few stops and grabbing a few caches in the Sellersburg area we ran down to grab this cache for my 1000 find. I plan on coming down another day when I have more time to get some of the other Earthcaches in the area. TFTH

Ky. Babe and I saw this dirt a while back but not when it was born. Thanks for the info, everybody should know about the dirt that is under their feet. My brother--in-law's geoname is dirt. This is a must cache for him when he comes to town. TFTH
More great info ! Thanks, found with Bill Z. TFTH

Nice Earthcache. Visited the Falls of the Ohio with jsonntag3 (who is sending the email with the answers)before heading home after a long trip. Thank you. 431
Visiting the Falls on a weekday makes all the difference in the world. We've been here before on a weekend and you couldn't find parking place. Today it was ours.
Thanks for the EC. Info sent

This was a fun Earthcache, on a warm humid day. Visiting from Missouri. Thanks for setting up this Earthcache.

Sunday morning with rain clouds approaching, there were only a few cars in the lot so we got to play in the dirt all we wanted. Answers on the way. Thanks for the hide...Sac-KY
A nice time to be at the falls: Sunday, winter, the water running high, and interesting dirt to study! Sac-KY has emailed answers to the questions for both of us. Thanks.
TFTEarth cache, I had a great day exploring the shore of the Ohio river here. I'm here in town from St Louis with my GF for a three day getaway.

TFTEC. My tournament over (not quite the results I had hoped for) but daylight still left I decided to tackle some ECs on the way back home. For whatever reason, I hadn't done many caches of ANY kind in this park but I wanted to focus on ECs this afternoon. The water levels are up, causing many of the higher terrain caches to be underwater but there were a few that could be done and this was the third and last one I had time for. I never got the time to warm up from the last EC and my ears were going numb. I walked over from the previous EC, took a nice (albeit cold) picture and got the required information to send off to the CO. I was glad that this was the last one as my ears probably couldn't have handled the cold anymore. Email already sent and picture to be uploaded after this submission.
I am in town visiting friends and while here I am able to do some caching. Earthcaches are among my favorites, so it was great to visit here. I only wish it weren't quite so cold this morning. The cold forced me to cut my visit short.
