Find # 15931Been a while since I've been out solo for a long trip. But things change over time. And I'm living the past.So with some time off work, I've jumped the border wall to chase down some long trails in South Aussie... don't know how many I'll get. But I've got quite a few downloaded. I do have a short hit list ( of 2) caches to help with a challenge. All others are just for the Adventure and countryside views. Armed with all the necessary TOTT from tweezers and magnet grab to 6m ladder and 8m fishing pole. I believe I'm prepared for all that I'll come across. (Just had to leave the Kayak at home )Day 7. Naracoorte to HomeA day to take in the sites of the Naracoorte area before jumping back over the border. To head for home. Grabbing the odd cache along the way. Great to find this size cache.... and a great little place to find. TFTC dazzpete
After completing a personal challenge in SA of finding 10,000 physical caches there we are now heading from Beachport back to Portland aiming to grab a couple of caches along the way on roads not normally traveled if the weather permits. The rain had started to easer so we thought that we would try our luck at this one and it must have been meant to be as the rain stopped as we pulled up.We headed off to gz where the great sized cache was found quickly right where the GPSr was indicating and our name has been added to the log. Many thanks dazzpete for the cache, we're not sure why but it always feels good to find a good sized cache rather than just a nano.
Peaceful out here...A quick find with a few muggles in car park...Love an ammo can..TNLNSL Thanks
Found on a minor detour from my eastward journey. A beautiful area. Thanks for the Traditional Cache dazzpete
Understood the cache name once there. Took the chance while travelling to check this out. Disturbed some campers briefly while finding the cache. Not sure what type of doggo they had but I was sooooo greatful they put it in the van while I was there. TFTC dazzpete.
Time for stretch and what’s around a geo!! Yea. What a great find. TFTC

Finally with winter seeming to be in retreat, we were lucky enough to have a couple of days caching in south western Victoria. We made a quick find here of the familiar container, which has been on the job for 12 years "Well Done"
Thanks to dazzpete for placing caches in interesting loations.

My sixth day of my trip heading to the Mega Event In Whittlesea Victoria. This would be Find Number 16 of 19 for the day and find Number 83 for this trip away.
Quick detour off the road on my way back to SA. Nice chance to stretch the legs.

Found with my Nana & sister on a day trip to Casterton to visit the Kelpies. We decided this would be a nice spot for a picnic.
Found with my Nana & sister on a day trip to Casterton to visit the Kelpies. We had a lovely visit here too.
What a great picnic area. It would be lovely on a nice day. This afternoon I came for a drive with PrincessAria1 & LittleG00sE. One of the little ones was not keen to use the long drop.
The cache was found quickly & in great condition. We took a couple of swags & placed a couple. We got back in the car just as it started to rain.

Glenn would love this spot. Finding a flat spot for the tent could be a challenge.
Thanks to dazzpete and **clear skies** from TeamAstro. [^] Cache the planet! [^]
I really enjoy doing geocaching when I come across cache cases such as this one and could not have picked a better day to do it ..
Nice hide
Found this one at 6:25pm in the dark, on our way home to the mount

What'll Glenn Do? Have a picnic or camp of course! Short trip outdoors with MuggleMasterKid6 and MuggleMother (her first ever cache too!). SL at 1:20pm. Hot day out here today! Took TB only and added plenty of swag. TFTC!
On my way to Teaming up with TheRobbos3266 and armed with my entry permit to South Australia we met up in Kalangadoo for our first day of caching in the Millicent area. Today we targeted the wine bottle puzzles which had long been solved. Found most but a few eluded us and only managed a small fragment of the wine glass Weatherwise it was a most unpleasant day with the temperature reaching 39 and an extremely strong northerly almost blowing me over at times. All up a very successful day in great company. Thanks for a great series
Woohoo. Found it.
Giving this cache a bit of love as it hasn't been found for a while.
Thanks for placing and maintaining it here.

Time for a CO check and, unfortunately, the original cache (and hiding spot) were completely consumed. A new container is now in place and n a close location.

Well we think we found it. Burn offs were done in May and this is all we could find
Driving through this area and decided to try for this cache. Drove in most of the way but didn’t tackle the last hill in the 2WD after last nights rain. Walked in and with excellent co ords we soon had the cache in hand. Great area, thanks dazzpete.
Driving from Naracoorte to Portland. Quick grab and a short break made this stop worthwhile. TFTC!
Called in to check on this today - all is good. The pine plantation nearby is private property but the track in here is not.
On the day we tried this, 14 December, the track was barred by a big Do Not Enter sign from the company that owns the land. Maybe some temporary work going on,
Bit of a wander around in the bush then Ol spotted it, nice and dry. Great area, TFTC
Up early to look at a couple spots to use later in the year, pretty run down area but good restful spot, found on last day of 2017. TFTC
Found on a one month road trip around Australia. Sorry for the generic log. TNLNSL TFTC
After spending the morning at the Kelpie Muster we headed out of town to check on our caches. Found by memory and with everything in good order.
We were thankful for the dry weather as the road would most likely be very slippery in wet weather. After a short drive off the highway we were able to park our car within 60m of GZ. From there accurate coordinates led to a quick find of a good sized and very robust cache container. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks dazzpete for the cache.
Day Two of our holiday, BettyBoo3747 and I headed towards Robe from Hamilton.
Got up late-ish and slowly made our way across to SA, caching as we found them on our trail.
Been a while since we have seen an Ammo can! Good to see a reasonable sized cache.
Nice little picnic area, but a bit early for lunch, so we had a hot-crossed bun instead (on account it is a bit early for Easter too!)
Thanks, Robmc.

#11553. Day 2 of our holiday and today Robmc and I headed from Hamilton, over the border and on to Robe for a few days. Naturally we stopped to find a few caches along the way.
All quiet here this morning as we bumped our way in along a fairly firm track. There were a lot of naked ladies (of the flowering variety) pretty in pink dotted around the picnic site. The did look rather out of place here in the bush but were pretty all the same. We seemed to take the long way to GZ and then noticed some clearer tracks heading back to the chariot. An ammo can, how about that - haven't seen one in a while. Left one of my Phryne - Mirror Pathtags
Thanks dazzpete

Thanks for the hide. Nice area to camp in, took a local to this hide, she has lived in the area for a few years now but never been here. Kids took 2 toys and we replaces with other toys and a TB.
Suscoe was heading to Casterton today and so a few caches needed to be found along the way.
We left home early but didn't start finding caches til late morning.
It was a cloudy day for the most part but luckily no drizzle or rain.
This was the 18th and last find of the day.
A pleasant drive to the picnic grounds and we enjoyed the peace and quiet here.
A few parrots calling.
Thanks to dazzpete for placing this cache out here.
Time to go and watch the footy now, GO CATS!!!!!

With Mrs Kookacrew being a bit scared of slip sliding 4WD driving this was a good time of year to pop in and do this cache, Mr Kookacrew would probably have preferred winter, but on the day he wasn't aware there could be an option as Mrs Kooka was navigating.
Therefore.....after a nice drive in on a up the hill, down the hill a few times we found ourselves at a secluded little picnic area well tucked in off the road. How good is it to find something that's not full of rubbish or graffiti.
We went for a wander and found a nice sized cache, always happy to have a nice big one.
Thanks dazzpete for the cache and sharing a piece of your history. TNLNSL

At the time I was thinking where the heck is nanton34 taking us as the Mazda 3 went off road to a picnic site. We were hoping for flowing water at GZ but the army container made up for it. Found after circling the site with the phones wavering. Turned out to be a memorable detour despite my grumbles at the time. tftc
Eighthknox was not keen on the road leading into this spot we were in his mazda 3 and in hindsight it probably was not the smartest idea considering we had about 900km to drive today. But with a bit of careful driving we were soon at the park. The area was nice and a great size cache made this one worthwhile TFTC
Well I know what I will do
Head into Wattle Glen for a cache find
I found the cache safe and sound and took the "GC&P Club December 2009 - Micro Snowmen" geocoin with me
And with nowhere else to head for in a hurry, I went for a stroll around the glen

We were on our family camping trip. Had been to Colac, then along The Great Ocean Road, seen the 12 Apostles, they are just amazing. Then we came back towards Mount Gambier which is our home town. We were camping not far down the road. GeoDad, Geoboys went off to drop the yabbie nets in & so Geomum & geodaughter went of to find this cache. Was a little warm outside today. This little area is a nice camping spot. Thanks for bringing us here. We love caching, it brings us to so many amazing places & hiding spots. Had us going around in circles with all the trees but had cache in hand in no time. Dropped off "GC&P Club December 2009 - Micro Snowmen" Travel Bug. TFTC
Great picnic spot, and nice straight forward cache with some swaps, and in good condition. tnln sl tftc
Lovely surprise! A beautiful BBQ picnic area, wonder if you can camp here. Defiantly worth exploring the area again. Thanks for bringing me here.
Found at 1:28 PM GAFF1. This is a wonderful spot to camp actually - quite and protected, however we have our sights set for Wannon Falls for tonight.
Thanks dazzpete.
Thanks dazzpete.
Found this on our way through to Mt.Gambier, nice to get off the main road and see the country side, left 2 dreamworks cards, took nothing TFTC
Was in Casterton to pick up my Dad so decided an alternative route to Mt Gambier was required. I had tried this before without a GPS, epic fail. So today I made a quick find on a beautiful sunny day.
Cache is in good condition
Thanks

After a drive along some very narrow dusty tracks in the forester we finally made it. Approaching form the opposite side would have been much easier. Nice day out in the countryside around Casterton though. TFTC.
found after escorting team_mako over to casterton for the casteron 40 bike racing
managed 6th today..
never come along this way before.. great spot for a cache.

Grrrrr!!!! The GPS had us going in circles. Finally had it 'spot on' but we could not find it. Spent an hour! However what a lovely spot you led us to and we have marked it on our make for future travels! Thanks
Very easy find today as there was a pen on the ground next to the cache. Would be a nice place to come back to. TFTC.
Found on my Horsham solo caching day out.
Beautiful spot I will bring the family back to. Thanks for giving me a reason to visit. Picked up two TB's, one of which was my own.

A very nice place to stop at, and the road in was good as well. Dropped off a TB and a GC. TFTC
Hmm well it beats me What Glenn'll do...but AngelFeather thought she'd better come up with the goods today. That she did. Wow what a place! Have never been here, but will be sure to come back...with swags on board. Enjoyed the peace and serenity...oh and the cache. Lovely place....Thankyou dazzpete for bringing me here. TN SL, Left TB..started to drizzle rain just before I left...
One of those rare finds that just blow you away. Off the highway, nice little picnic area.
The bird life is prolific and you cannot hear the highway. Amazing.

Travelling back to Melbourne from Robe - 3rd cache of the day. Couldn't resist this one and always interested in finding nice areas that are well away from noisy roads for a brief stop, picnic or whatever.
