Out in the PeuGEOt in the Clunes/Dunolly area for some caches.Took a bit of looking until I paused and for some reason the hide caught my eye. Great place.Gets a favourite from us.All is good with the cache.TFTC
After being in Lameroo for the annual JLWE event this year with an 80s theme, we are slowly making our way homeOut and about with Ronice88 today to pick up caches here, there and everywhere. After staying in Maryborough the night we picked up caches along the road to home. We have really enjoyed our short time in the area. The historic buildings are really well preserved
Replaced Just wee but worthwhile detour! Winter finally here. On a multi mission with weirdobiker after the Lameroo Ludicrous Leg Warmers events in SA and now heading back east via a through different LGA's. Its been great exploring the country out west with plenty of highlights to remember. TFTC and the lure.
Looked in the obvious spot but no luck. Extended our search but couldnt find the cache.
Despite accurate coordinates, it took a few minutes of hunting before this well hidden cache was located. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks tigersden for the cache.
I was ready to head for home, but spotted the name of this one & couldn't just turn away when I was so close!
I imagined myself crossing an arete in Scotland - these slah heaps are huge!! Cool wee hide too. Many thanks for transporting me home briefly

Third day in the area caching and detecting, early start while the weather is perfect. The bush after a rain is glorious, we are soaking in all the bush smells and sounds.
TFTC and bringing us to this spot .
We did find an empty container, at GZ.
Also on my last post I said we found for the first time wild deer. Turned the corner for this one to find a deer farm.

On a visit to Dunolly MazzyMay and I took the time while we had great weather to find some caches. WE found this one TFTC.
We arrived in Eddington today after spending a few days in St Arnaud arriving there on Sunday where we decided to stay for a couple of days before continuing our journey to Bendigo. Here we caught up with our good friends Tyred n Cranky and Fuf009, while we were here we also met up with ChooknChunk.
Here at Eddington we were impressed with the town, the area and the camp spot behind the hall, fantastic just fantastic. The multi here was very informative. From here we have journeyed to Dunolly, We had a wonderful lunch at the bakery and a great tour around town using geocaching as our tour guide.
At this cache we did some cache maintenance, we placed a new cache into the plastic container that was without a lid.

Found at 10:31 AM GAFF1.
Found a plastic box without a lid lying on the ground - is that the cache? We placed a note book page with our name on it and placed it in a nook of the big tree which is where we thought would have been the original hiding spot as there was no other safe options.
Thanks to tigersden

The countryside is looking beautiful and lush at the moment, great time for a little car touring and quick caches.
#5027 Certainly a succinct history on the cache page. Second find today on a drive in the countryside today with the geohounds. Some substantial old mine heaps here that look like a popular spot for daredevil trail bike riders. Thankfully none of them around today to disturb the peace! TFTC tigersden, cache in good condition.

The team headed off to Màldon for another week camping with our daughter during the school holidays in the caravan. Our mission was to find more caches than Uncle Brendan. Not too busy at the campsite this week-campfires, exploring, Dunolly bakery visits, playing family boardgames every night, practicing driving were highlights of the week. Thanks so much to the CO's maintaining these for us to explore.
Found @ 11:59am #1076, easy find.

TFTC tigersden Spending our Easter in the area and took the opportunity to put some smiley faces on. Great that you continue to maintain these for us to find and exploring the area and its history. TNLN All good at GZ Loved the history in these places.
Some heavy rain overnight has flooded the area but the cache is still in good shape. This is some pretty country.
Found with Kellmik while in Bendigo for our Central Victorian Mythmas Caching holiday.

Great find. I placed it back to where I think it was meant to be as it was in plain sight. Watch out for the little ants
Cache quickly located and signed without disturbing the nearby bull ants nest. TFTC!
In Dunolly for the St Arnaud MEGA with my dearest friend Kato Potato and we decided that rather than head back to the MEGA, we'd take the circuitous route home to Gippsland by cleaning out Dunolly and picking and choosing on our way home. I was driving and honestly, lazy me delegated Kato to this one. She dodged the bull-ant storm and made a quick find. TFTC tigersden
In the area for the St Arnaud Mega event and once again privileged to be able to spend the whole weekend with Mummy Short Legs on a mum's weekend away, our scared annual Caching Adventure without the families in tow.
After spending a lovely two nights in the area we decided we needed to make sure that we honoured the local caches by finding as many as we could before setting off home today. Number 16 today - I did a quick scan, avoiding all the massive bull ants in the area and discovered our quarry without issue. TFTC tigersden

All good thanks.
All good thanks.
What a great place to explore. Tftc. This marks my 100 caches, and sadly, the end of our holiday in this jam packed history filled region. I have left a few caches for next time. Looking forward to seeing a few more new ones next time we visit. Thanks for your time and effort putting them out and maintaining them.
Came to Dunolly to catch up with family friends and ended up staying for the week. We’ve done a number of cache’s and thanks to Tigersden for getting us to explore areas we might not have gone to. Nice drive today caching but Watch out for the ants nest nearby. TFTC
Having a nice afternoon drive I found this cache on my way past exploring the area surrounding the Gold Diggings

Visiting Bendigo and today was out and about in the countryside. Due to the number of caches found on the day I am doing a generic log. I acknowledge all the CO's for their great effort in placing these caches in their locations. Cache found and log signed. TFTC
Having a couple of days caching in and around Bendigo as well as a couple of country drives. We certainly saw loads of lovely country side and interesting places. Sorry about the generic logs but appreciate the time and effort that all COs have given to place these caches in your areas. Happy caching to all.
Staying at Maryborough for the weekend, we ventured up north to get a few caches while the rain held off in the company of GeoBots. With the area having so much to offer in the way of exploring old mine sites we happily toured around the countryside.
We had a quick drive in the reserve before coming back out to retrieve this cache.
Thanks tigersden for the cache.

Out and about collecting caches for the Planetary Pursuit. Made a quick find of this cache, thanks for the hide.
TFTC. Looking to continue our find streak we ventured out as the rain had eased. A trip to Betley and then return via Dunolly. A couple of stops along the road. No gold but did find a cache near the mine site.
Suscoe's last find in the Dunolly area for today.
That's 5 DNFs converted to smiling faces.
Thanks to tigersden for these hides.
Good to see the town still looking busy in the main street.

Traveling along the back roads out of Dunolly to Maryborough,
I popped in to see the Caledonia Mine again.
A DNF on me last visit to this cache
Would I strike fool's gold twice ?? [:o]
Nup !!
Today's exploration resulted in a good sized caching nugget

Out for a bit of a geocaching session after work in (somewhat) central Victoria, managed to get a dozen caches before eventually being carried away, geovehicle included, by monster mozzies. It felt like they were attaching the car like a mob of Orks.
Now I'm juggling mozzies through a bull-ant nest...
**Thanks for placing this cache tigersden**

A quick and easy find as we cache our way through the area today. Thanks for bringing us here and thanks for the cache.
What a beautiful drive! Definitely detouring this way again! Good to see the cache high and dry after very recent flooding in the area. TFTC
