Logs
Cycling from Alexandra to Millers Flat today. Our last find for the day which gave me some trouble despite the helpful hint.I missed it first pass but after reading a few logs my inspiration returned and miraculously there it was. TFTC
MrMagoo72 and I were driving home, taking this alternate route, and stopped to look for this one on the way. Parked up and walked to GZ. I had just hidden a cache container identical to this earlier in the day, so it didn't take me long to identify the correct item containing the logsheet. Had to use my TOTT to extract the log. TFTC.
Very sneaky; I had to do a bit of comparative investigation to identify it. Thank you for the cache. I’ve never driven this road between the Roxburgh Dam and Millers Flat before; geocaching is a good introduction to it.
Took a drive for a pumpkin-buying trip to Millers Flat this afternoon and of course couldn't pass up the opportunity to get some nearby caches. Sneaky - would never have imagined it as a possibility just a few months ago, so I'm pleased I have more geocaching knowledge and experience now to be able to recognise and log this one today. Tftc.
Took a few minutes to track this one down as it was located in a spot which didn’t match the hint. Replaced as per the hint.
Thanks for the cache, Sonya and Deane

Unfortunately, there was no paper to write but easy to stop where it was located
Luckily I spend some time reading the logs while waiting for our lunch at the Beaumont Hotel (not that we waited long and the recommend a stop here), so a seasonally easy find.
From Auckland.
Log unfortenately fell in the river. Temporary log sheet inserted. Very ingenious hiding place.
Found with VinnigeVoete.

Great cache easy if you read the clue we took longer than necessary in the drizzle! Thanks for hiding
found gz and tried a few tricky manovours having a last look and feel around and knocked something within easy reach. thanks for a sneaky cache
Cycling the Clutha Gold Trail with vz1pp. A wee bit tricky but found it in the end. Tftc
Taking the back road this time to have another go at this cache. The previous attempt not enough time for the search. Checked the page description and some logs which honed me on to the prize in no time another cool OF hide
TFTC quick find biking the trail enjoying biking the Trail helps to have done similar caches before very clever
After a few DNF's and questions about whether the cache is still there, we had time today to check this cache and we are happy to say that it is still there. We have increased the difficulty of the cache and we are happy to provide a helping hand if requested. Enjoy.
Nope...I could not find anything on the crash barrier opposite the clue. I think I need a bigger clue
One of several caches located today in the Roxburgh area, including a 40km bike ride on the Clutha Gold trail from Roxburgh to Miller’s Flat return. Great day for it and splendid scenery!
Took us a little while to find this one. Should have spotted it earlier than we did because we “overlooked it” initially. #2402. TFTC.

Yes as they all say... sneaky hide. Took me a while and had to read thru the logs. Was determined to find it. TFTC Onslow Fisherman
We needed some clues from the activity log to help us with this one! A great cache- very clever. TFTC
Tftc. Out getting cherries with Mr cat and co. This was a clever one. So cute but well camouflaged
Looked in the usual place but no cache there and after a bit of head scratching tried somewhere else. Very clever hide that looks totally in place. Worth a favourite. TFTC # 12,895
Made a quick trip to Alexandra to visit my ageing father and stopped on the return trip for a few geocaches. This was the only DNF for the day. We spent 10 minutes but alas it just did not show up today.
Great pice of history
We are on a winter road trip to track down all of the hidden creatures and find the elusive world turtle and one more step closer to my 1000 th cache.
Road trip with annielin and Abbykitt. Day one let's go !!!!!!

Didn't stop to check this previous find today, but looked like a lot of water flowed past here a couple weeks ago... curious to know if still there?
This one took awhile but once I seen something I've seen before, soon had the little one in hand. No trouble adding my name to the log and it got put back at the hint properly. TFTC
Staying at Miller's Flat Campground. Now the weather has cleared we decided to do a drive down the Millennium Track road to Beaumont , drive along the main highway to Miller's Flat & collect a few caches along the way to add to our holiday talley. Thanks to the cache owners for placing caches along the way. The Clutha is certainly "awesome " . A clever hide, we almost gave up but noticed something wasn't quite the right size! TFTC
Took a while, but reading previous logs and taking the time for that "second look" helps
Sneaky little hide. Parking limited, but more cyclists went past than cars! Thanks for the detour.
We flew into Invercargill last week to catch up with the rellies, now its home to Wellington via West Coast with maybe a cache or two to break the journey up. Heading to Makarora today.
Took a bit of searching before I spotted somthing that was not like the others.....
TFTC Sonya and Deane.

A little bit of a search turned up this nifty wee hide, lucky Dad had a tool to extract the log. TFTC
A clever hide. Something that may have stumped earlier on and probably might have if I didn't pick up on something written in a recent log.
Found at the end of my drive past the "somebody's darling" grave. I searched back and forward getting frustrated before I clicked. I love these ones. Thanks.
Heading to Central so decided to go the back way from Millers Flat to Roxburgh and get a few caches. TFTC
[Giggling. Neat wee] smallbutnotanano. [Has it drifted? Placed back at hint area TFTC.]
While i was travelling this trip around this loop in our old red beetle, i had hoped to find them all but two DNF so far but at least this was a lucky one and i took photos of these crossings. It is interesting to see the "landscape' of where the rails went, where the land has been built up etc Alot of Manual labour had been used to make this rail line. Took photos of the crossings which i will add once i have sorted out which is which. All was well with this cache. Thanks for the cache and another smiley face
What a neat wee hide. Love this sort of thing. A quick park and grab on while on my way home from Cromwell. Left Cromwell early today so I had time to stop and get a few caches that I have been past many time and never had time to stop. So TFTC
My counting and symmetry skills came in handy. Loved this one. Found with jockthekiwi.
Out with BaldEd cycling the middle section, Roxburgh town to Beaumont, of the Clutha Gold Trail.
Cheers for the cache.
Cheers for the cache.
Second caching stop as Tufty and I rode the Clutha Gold Trail to Beaumont. Interesting that there are two hint objects. TFTC.
I don't get this kind of hiding. Also "1962" is written on two places, opposite sides of the bridge, confusing.
On the way back from a long day in Alex and as the sun was shinning decided to take this alternative road from Roxbrough Dam to Beaumont Bridge, as it was past 7pm there were few muggles about which made it alot easier and safer to stop.
Cache in good condition.
Was glad I had work car and hi vis gear as took a while to find this one and wasn't the safest spot. Due to the container would have thought it could go on otherside so could reach from pedestrian bridge.... just a thought.
