Today was a rare treat as the youngest of the Famous IV who hasnt been out caching for a couple of years suggested that it would be good to go for a country drive and grab a few caches along the way. Sought 13 and found 11. Unfortunately the last cache sought involved a scurry up a quarry face and despite a good luck was not found. However found plenty of kangaroos, bird life, livestock and one sleepy lizard along the way. Even had some time to call into the One Tree Hill pub for a couple of dark ales, pepperoni pizza and garlic bread. Some great caches found and 3 FPs will be awarded. Thanks to all cache owners for your hides and ongoing maintenance of your caches.
Thank you to the owner!! Absolutely loved this, I live on the road and would have drove past countless times and never realised!!
A creepy crawly cache! We eventually found it, a bit further north than the posters coordinates. TFTC!
Mr Tardis was out for a motorbike ride through the back roads and around the hills today enjoying the weather.
I found this one in the second place I looked.
Signed the log. Thanks for the cache jrejos.
PS: Sorry for the late log, slowly catching up on my old logs in GSAK.

Kids found this one nice and easy, have swapped an item too as well as adding second items
An early start today setting my alarms for ridiculous time so I could attend the breakfast event and arrived after gridge but before anyone else, so that was a good start to the day. [^]
I had a big day planned with this event followed by the CITO then caching with locus cache and earthlight.
After a nice strong coffee I was awake and ready for the day which didn't look too good weatherwise, but the rain stopped long enough for us to collect a few bags of rubbish at the CITO. It was very cold and windy but the rain held off for most of the day and we had a fun day caching our way to the hills after picking eathlight up. We managed to get quite a few multis, a couple of puzzles and various trads that we happened to be driving past that one or other of us hadn't found.
After picking earthlight up we found a few caches close by before deciding that we would head towards Houghton. [^]
Found the right tree and the spider and the cache.
Thanks for the cache jrejos.

This one also took me longer than usual to find [B)]
I found what was a fantastic Spider - Haven of a hide and was searching all through it, regardless of anything real in the way of Eight-Legged Freaks, which for me is unusual coz i'm kind of mildly scared of 'larger' spiders, but after struggling with the past two 'Tree' hides i really wanted to complete the Trifecta here without a DNF.
I just changed trees and i noticed an arachnid big enough to have it's own postcode so i knew i was at GZ then
Located the cache to an intensely curious pony with no fear of humans ha ha
SL at 11:01 on Thursday the 24th of September 2020.
Returned the cache whilst the pony was distracted and then was outta there coz he saw me and returned immediately with his head through the fence lol
Luckily he didn't see me hide the cache
TFTC jrejos and for the other 2 before this one... it was a different Geocaching experience

Found this one yesterday what a fantastic themed cache our geokid loved it! Swapped some.nick nacks. Got to say hi to the mini ponies
I almost got bowled by some kangas coming up the road whilst looking for this one. Also got to say hello to the friendly sheep nearby. Thanks for this cache.
Well you know there are no spiders that big!!
Thanks to jrejos and **clear skies** from TeamAstro. [^] Cache the planet!
Quick find here, cache is all good
Headed out this afternoon to collect some caches in area that I have never been or have never caches around. A nice afternoon with only a few finds along the way.

Loved it!! Scared the bejeebers out of the frolics very waterlogged though!! Might need some maintenance.
I found a lone spider then the cache, jacknor was to busy playing with the rest of the family of spiders to find what we where looking for.
Found a lone creature who whispered to me that I was on the right track and soon I found his family and then the cache. Tftc. Drained it of water

After gathering cache for the day nearby I decided that this was an area I was not going to get back to in a hurry so gathering another nearby cache was in order. Parked close to GZ and started searching where the GPS initially wanted me and came up with nothing. Hmmm, what now. Decided to widen the search area and spotted a clue and then quickly found the cache. As others have mentioned, the container was filled once again with water, so emptied it out, and tried to dry everything out. One of the logs was in a pretty good zip lock bag and while damp was usable so signed that one and reassembled everything, and put back in its hide. This time I covered it a bit more with some solid camo to try to keep it dry from the rain to keep it going.
Really needs some TLC from the CO, and probably a new container that is a little more weatherproof.

Good thing I'm not scared of spiders! Spent quite awhile poking around about 10m away before focusing my attention in the right spot.
Found It!
10m north of GZ for this one. Didn't even notice the spiders until I went to put the cache back!

Would have been quicker if we were searching the right tree at the beginning. Nice one. Did on the way to Glen Ewen Estate for lunch.
A very scenic little road indeed and one I cant remember travelling down before. This one took a little longer than it should have to find. TFTC. TNLN.

Quick find with ozmilo on a mini caching tour in the foot hills. Thanks for the cache.
Owl went on a quest for a favourited cache for her souvenir and this one was convenient to home. Round and round and round the tree she went, wondering what she was missing from an exhaustive search of every conceivable hollow. Then she wondered if she might be at the wrong tree. Sure enough, just over there was a decorated tree and a cache. D'oh! At least she isn't scared of spiders!
Out for a little night caching to keep our daily streak going ;c) A nice quiet area. Though got a little spooked by a muggle approaching from the darkness... which turned out to be a inquisitive muggle horse! Not long after, red made a creepy find from which ronso kept her distance :cP spiders.... ronso does not like spiders! TNLNSL. TFTC!!
Thanks spider tree this is our first cache was scared at first ... Scary but cool .. Didn't take anything just excited by the first find
Actually the spider tree has fallen down and been cut up for firewood. Spiders, being very resiliant incests, have migrated to a nearby tree though! No need to change co-ordinates.
When approaching GZ, was concerned the spider tree had been recently cut up for firewood, but it was still nice and safe. Was watched by a mob of roos across the road, while signing the log.
Easy find.

Geokid jumped a mile when he first spotted the 8 legged guardian watching over this cache. Found in the company of Adrian Mc.
Creepy!! Another big success for the kids, though even they were a little creeped out lol.
Found this one with the Geopartner and Geokids after a wedding ceremony at the nearby Inglewood Inn. Kids loved it. TFTC.
I knew geowife wouldn't be keen on retrieving this cache! She surprised me by returning it! This was our last find today and it didn't disappoint, another great cache! picked up a couple of trackables to move along. TFTC jrejos!
31st cache on the 31st of August for the 31 days of Geocaching in August. Enjoyable find good fun and great scenery. TFTC L 2xTBs
I had headed out in a rush for a FTF effort nearby and then, since it was such a lovely morning, decided to do just a couple more caches too.
Those couple more ended up being 17 attempts: 16 were successful locus cache events and 1 was a DNF
Muggle partner had brought me to the nearby Butterfly Tree ages ago but wouldn't stop for this one
So, today while out and about, I did!
Cool theme and one I enjoyed but I know lots of other people who wouldn't have!
