Hi
This cache appears to have some problems. It is the cache owner's responsibility to read the logs and check the cache to sort out any problems with it and give an indication of when it may be up and running again for people to find.
**The cache is being Disabled to give the Cache Owner an opportunity to investigate and fix the apparent issues.**
Once the cache is operational again, the CO should write an *Owner Maintenance* log advising that the promlems have been fixed, and to remove the *Needs maintenance* attribute (red cross) if that is showing on the cache page. The CO can then write an Enable log to return the cache to play.
If the cache cannot be fixed it should be archived.
**If there is no response to this log after 30 days the cache will be Archived.**
The [Geocache Maintenance guideline](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#cachemaintenance) explains a CO's responsibility towards checking and maintaining the cache when problems are reported.

Beautiful wife came here 42 years ago. It brought back many memories. Sadly she never found a Geocache then either.
Day eight of our holiday in Tassie. Bettyboo3747 and I are traveling from Strahan to Tarraleah..
Today we turned left, turned right, turned left....isn't there any straight roads on the Central Highlands?
Some nice walks and some beautiful spots (and a few caches, of course!)
We eventually wound our way into Queenstown, and followed the signs to the lookout.
A short sharp walk and we were at the view. A good panorama of the town.
Then a family of muggles arrived! We waited them out, but no cache could we spot today.
Not such a good place to start! But we went down and had a good breakfast at the station anyway.
Thanks, Robmc.

DNF. We were not going to do this one seeing the string of DNF's. However, our friends Harrowang who happen to be the last finders back in November said they were sure it would still be there and provided a hint so, on arrival in Queenstown this was our first stop before breakfast. We had just begun to search when a muggle family arrived so we had to wait them out. After they left we searched again but eventually gave up and continued down the hill to breakfast. Might be worth a CO check-up.

Climned up didn't found anything... Sad nevertheless Greetings from ULIHUTTEN from Hennef in Germany
According to the hint it is obvious where the cache should have been but it was not there. Nevertheless, the view from the platform is brilliant! Thanks to the owner for leading us to this marvelous place!
This one wasn’t for me today. I searched almost every inch of that platform, but nothing revealed itself. The coords didn’t help pin point a place either, as they had me going off down the side of the hill. After poking around with a stick, a touch of a fat slug and a scrape from a rusty nail later, I decided to give up on this one. Either it’s a really difficult 3.5 or it’s not there.
It has been over 40 years since we were in Queenstown, Tasmania and it is still fascinating! This steep path has nothing on the ones of Bingley's we climb in NE Victoria, so we managed it easily. SL at 1.40pm Took: shark Left: windmill PT. Loved the history and the views. #4954 TFTC HarderTas
Nice view up there. It took a while because the coordinates send us downhill. The logbook it wet. Tftc.
In Queenstown for a trip on the Railway tomorrow!
Saw sign post to lookout and when we were there l said it would be a good place for a geocache. Hot spotted my phone to S's and we were on top of the cache. Brilliant TFTC

After a super early morning start from Hobart, found our way here while waiting for the ABT railway to start.
Fantastic spot to spend 30 minutes, and a fairly easy find in a good spot. We were about to rush down to the train, which was making noises, when we found it at the last second.
Wonderful place, bitterly cold but just amazing, not like anywhere else in the world.
Amazing view, worthy of a favourite once I have one.
Thanks for the cache!

After a very wet walk up the hill we were treated to a beautiful view of........queenstown. Tftc. Who would have guessed there was a gun.
Stumbled upon this cache after years out of the game. Really nice view. Hopefully will do a few more while holidaying in Tas.
Phone navigation sent us hunting way off the mark, but eventually found it in an easy spot.
When Alby and I arrived at GZ, there was a muggle sitting on a chair, taking in the view. We waited a while and he slowly moved away and that let Alby retrieve the cache and sign it before the muggle knew he was missing something.
TNLN, thanks for the cache!

HarderTas thank you for the cache.
This was one of many caches I found on a caching trip to Queenstown with Swampy .
I had been up here many times before and still love the view.
At the top a muggle was sitting one the sat and looked like her was going to be there for a while.
Swampy and I spent a little time been tourists before the muggle left his seat and walked around the other side of the lookout this gave me the opportunity to have a quick look and was lucky to find it straight away..
After quickly signing the log I hade to be very discrete as I replaced the cache as the muggle had returned and was now sitting near me but lucky for me looking the other way.
Found at 3:56:00 PM

Found 20/4/2017. Was a hike my mother never thought she'd be able to achieve, but she made it! Took us a while to find the cache, but it was in a ridiculously simple place that we had just looked over. Met a couple of people up here that told us about their experiences with accidentally finding some caches, lovely couple! Would recommend, especially when football is on in Queenstown!
Had to walk up by myself, hubby stayed in the car! Did take me ages to find it! But really it shouldn't have. Good hide, thanks for the cache.
Tftc... Stupidly easy to find but took us a ridiculously long time to find because we were tired and hungry... We don't work well when we are hungry
A quick walk up a steep hill, but it was worth it for the views and for the cache! Thanks for the hide and bringing us here.
Thats quite a steep walk up the hill.
Great views all around with the trees being cleared recently.
Quick find and some photos before heading to the Empire Hotel for a meal.

Brilliant locationnot sure about co nos. seem to send me off down the hill. Useful hint
The Lions Club clearly takes it's maintenance role very seriously here. Unlike Lions parks in some towns we've visited. Bright safety yellow paint abounds & there was a volunteer up top applying another coat to the superstructure. So we waited until he wheeled his barrow away. Hard pushing it up here! The find was then quick with only a little paint to hand transference. TFTC.
Tough parking because a camper was taking up the whole space and seemed to be spending the day. When I reached the top two workmen were replacing lights at the platform. They weren't going anywhere, and one knew about geocaching, so the other learned. Tftc
After a busy day in Strahan we finished off with a climb to this look out. Queenstown is really quite large when you look at it from here.
I really enjoyed the story about the cannon.
This cache was hunted, tagged and released by activehunters tftc.

A strenuous climb to the top of the Spion Kop lookout. Brilliant views of town and the distant hills.. A nice easy find.. thanks..!!
Took dad with me for the climb to introduce him to geocaches. The view was rewarding especially with the sun setting and casting a beautiful orangey red glow on the mountains. Poked around with a stick for a while and nearly despaired but then struck the cache. Tftc!
What a great spot! Wonderful views and the lure of a cache bought us here! Thanks HarderTas
After a sporty walk we found it very easy.

I came up the hill yesterday evening, but failed to find the cache, as my Garmin had GZ over the edge. Today I read the hint and realised where the cache might be, so returned. Steep hill, but from the carpark a short climb. Using the hint, rather than the coordinates, I quickly had the cache in hand. My Garmin preferred: S 42° 04.694 E 145° 33.549. TFTC and the great view (yesterday, when it wasn't raining like today ) HarderTas.
Another little walk to an amazing view that I probably wouldn't have done without the cache. TFTC.
A good place to start. Well I started in Launceston.
Loved the sign up high on the structure. Who could read that?
Thanks to HarderTas and *clear skies* from TeamAstro. Cache the planet!

An easy find after a tough hill on the back of a big night partying with the locals...maybe we should have gone to the champagne breakfast at the footy club, but then we would never have made it home, never mind in time for a dinner
Many thanks HarderTas from the Wacky one

Found while visiting from WA. Came to town to do the wilderness railway and thought we would grab a couple while we were here. Tftc!
Found this cache with Hazard91 on the last day (lots of hail and rain) in Queenstown and the last day of our trip around Tassie. As soon as we found the cache it started to rain again but managed to sign the log. Its a nice view from this spot. TFTC
Our current visit to Australia had been in the planning for over a year with the very significant help and advice from friends who live in Melbourne. The original plan was for a 2 month visit, but as things progressed we just couldn't help extending our trip to the full 90 days allowed on our visas - after all it's a big country and so much to see and do, especially with our favourite pastimes being birding, hiking and of course geocaching! Our journey started with our arrival at Perth airport followed by a day cycling around Rottnest Island before travelling on to Adelaide where we met up with our friends. We then continued on to spend some time on Kangaroo Island, before heading to Melbourne via Goolwa, Strathalbyn, Coorong, Mount Gambier, Cape Bridgewater, the Grampians National Park, Port Campbell, Cape Otway and Lorne, cramming in as much as possible on route. We are now here in Tasmania on the second leg of our journey. We then head back to Melbourne before setting off to Sydney via Wilson’s Promontory, Lakes Entrance, Mallacoota, Pambula Beach, Thredbo, Canberra and Fitzroy Falls. After a visit to Sydney we will travel on to the Gold Coast, then after spending a few days in the nearby mountainous birding hotspots, followed by an overnight trip to Fraser Island, we will fly from Brisbane to Cairns, visiting yet more good birding sites. We will then drive up to Cape Tribulation before heading back south again to Port Douglas and a day out on the Great Barrier Reef. We then return to Cairns for the flight to Alice Springs, where we will hire a 4x4 camper and set off for a week on the circuit to and from Kings Canyon and Ayers Rock. We then fly to Darwin from where we will spend the last two weeks of our holiday making our way to Broome via Kakadu, Cooinda, Katherine Gorge, Kununarra, Lake Argyle, Emma Gorge, the Bungle Bungle’s and Fitzroy Crossing. Our last two nights in Australia will be spent in Broome before we fly back to Perth, from where we will connect with the flight all the way back home to Zimbabwe via South Africa. We already know we can't wait to return!
Thanks so much to the CO for having placed a cache at this great lookout with its very interesting history boards - we never have found this place without the cache. A nice quick find at Ground Zero in a brief break in the rainy weather - we even had a couple of minutes of sunshine! Thanks so much for the cache.

Relatively quick find after puffing up the hill. Wonderful views, better from up the bends. TFTC.
After staying at recreation ground in campervan drive up here. Greetings from the UK. TFTC
Great view. TFTC. Angus the great GeoWestie assisted by grey nomad carer Lis Brown on a journey from Shepparton Vic to Geelong Vic then Coolah and Port Stephens in NSW and back to Shepparton before going to Tasmania.
Never knew this lookout existed. Awesome views around Queenstown from the top.

Tasmania Trip, Day 5 of 12
On Cache tour with Theatralis.

Woke up late today, but still headed out with our picnic lunch and GPSr loaded.....
Headed out of town to the lookouts first, then back into town for this one. It started to drizzle with cold rain, so with the gortex's on, we braced our selves for the steep climb. On arrival at the top, after a cup o warm milo, we started the search. Eventually found according to the clue, but with better coordinates:
S42 043696 E145 33.549
Rain threatened again, so we hi-tailed it back to the geovan, and went in search of the next cache.

This wet drizzly day made the steep little walk quite slippery. My gps was trying to send me down the side of the mountain and into the scrub. I was guessing this was wrong and kept going back to the platform to hunt around. No luck for me. I wasn't going to stick my hand in to far and feel around anywhere. May have grabbed something i'd regret!!
Wow, that's an amazing view of all the surroundings ! Great cache, real value ! I told my guide so that she could know about it !
I ran really fast to find it in the small amount of time I had ! That's one of the reasons why I like geocaching
Definitely a fav!

[violet]I'm currently hitchhiking my way around the world and geocaching everywhere I go. My first stop was in Ireland where I spent a couple weeks touring the country. I then flew to London and spent a couple weeks touring the United Kingdom. From there I made my way through the tunnel and up to Amsterdam and then back down to Belgium. After that I headed for France. Then from there I headed to Portugal for a mega event that was happening. After that I headed for Denmark to attend another Mega event. I then made my way North into Sweden and then even further North to Norway. After that I proceeded to work my way back down South through Finland and then ferry hopped my way through a few of the islands to arrive back in Sweden. Next I made my way to Germany for another Mega event and then back to the Netherlands for still another mega event before heading for Luxembourg. After that the next stop along my journey was Switzerland. I then made a quick detour up to Belgium to grab a July 2000 geocache I had overlooked before making my way to Croatia passing through Austria and Slovenia along the way. After that my route took me East to Serbia and then through Romania into Moldova. I then couldn't resist going North and crossing into the Ukraine. After that I began heading South passing through Romania once again. I then passed through Bulgaria as I raced for Turkey in order to catch a flight to Australia timing it so that I could attend a mega event happening there. After that I traveled along The Great Ocean Road and up to Adelaide before making my way West to Perth. I then headed back to Port Augusta and made my way North to Alice Springs. Then I turned around and headed south and then east towards Sydney detouring into Canberra along the way. I then made my way up to Queensland before turning around and heading back down the coast to Melbourne. I then made my way over to Tasmania so I could cross off the last state of Australia.
Thank you so much for placing this geocache!

Yes, this was a good place to start today. I've been to the top of this hill many times in my youth, well before the days of geocaching and enjoyed bringing my family to this fantastic lookout and learning the history of this place. TFTC.
Found while on our tour of Tasmania. Stopped in Queenstown for a bit on our way to Cradle Mountain. The old machinery display on approach to GZ is worth a look. The story of the site and 'monuments' at GZ is quite entertaining

Met 2 delighted teenagers with cache in hand about to take it to the radio station to collect the CASH prize on offer. Took a good 10 minutes of negotiation for them to allow us to sign the log as long as one of them could sign it too. They had a lesson in what geocaching is and we used all our skills to get them to return it to the hide, ("Not giving it to you, you'll just steal our money"). Travelling around from WA and enjoying the places caches are hidden. TFTC
After exhaustive search, no luck. My GPS kept sending me off into the bush though so that could have hampered the search
Travelling around Australia and spending a few months in Tasmania.
Now staying a few days in Queenstown today we headed off on the West Coast Wilderness Railway!
Once we returned to town we headed out using Geocaching as a guide and managed to find your cache.
We parked the car and Mr Felix was about to set off to find this cache when a car raced up the hill. Well they then raced up the lookout too! So a waiting game began. Eventually they took off so Mr Felix could tackle the cache. Even managed to take a photo of our caravan set up at the 'free camp at the recreation ground'

Took a bit of searching as my gps was acting up but made the find anyway. Great spot!!!!
The description for the cache says the path is a bit steep, no argument here, there was a lot of huffing and puffing to get these 2 unfit bodies to the top, but the view was well worth it. Don't trust your gps when you are driving between caches around here either. When we left the last cache this one was 9km away, but we had to drive 18km to get here. The cache itself turned up after a brief search, so log signed and cache replaced, we made our way back down the very steep path to the geotruck. Thanks for bringing us here and thanks for the cache.
