As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.
Same as the person below, this is one of the last unfound in my area that always comes up, can it be replaced of removed please? Cheers
Hi,
Was just wondering if you are planning on getting this cache up and running again? It's just that it always comes up at the top of my searches, so I would quite like to tick it off!
Thanks

What a hidden gem of a park. Cache very hard to get into and not located where it should be I suspect, but found none the less and an enjoyable find. Thanks
I had to many catches on the ground that day so I needed a bit longer. But the challenge is to open the box! Tftc
Staying in a motel just around the corner and this was an early morning find.
Found with Aoraki Sheep.

A quiet park in the early morning, one you would never know was here. Found the container hard to open. Found with debsnz
Reasonably easy find in a nice location. Interesting container for the cache. TN:LN. TFTC. #47 for us.
It's been a while since I was last cycled here looking for this cache. Was pleased to discover that this time I had the park all to myself so it was a relatively quick find. Nice hide. Thanks for the cache.
Good one. I couldn't sign the log because the person before me pushed it too far in, and I couldn't get it out of the container.
My FIRST Cache in New Zealand Was quite hard to find, as everything was covered by ice&snow, but after a while I made it. Needed to be careful, as I was under observation of a Snowwoman.
Danke für den Cache! And greetings from Germany

No luck today, but having now read logbook, will probably go back in a couple days and find it.
TFTC - this park is only about a 15 minute walk from home, so it's about time I made the effort to find it. With a young daughter, we're always on the look out for new and different playgrounds close to home. This is certainly a great neighbourhood playground with lots of picnic spots and no doubt we will visit again soon.
This area has been hit pretty hard with the earthquakes but the cache was in a nice quiet little park and a tricky find at that.
12/04/12 4:59 PM Find #877 and quickly found, well camo'd. An eerily quiet park so close to houses but no sounds of normal activity. Maybe the Moa's scared everyone away
Found after a bit of hunting and refering to the hints...a great cache..enjoyed the challenge of this one...Thanks
Sorry - thought I'd disabled the cache while I was drying out the log, but disabled the wrong listing accidentally! Big apologies. It's back in action now.
I particularily don't like caches near playgrounds (for a very obvious reason)
Therefore I didn't search too long for it and walked away without find.

Are you sure this moa isn't extinct lol? This moa hunter came up empty handed today but will be back for another look and may get my hands on that elusive moa then
Love when people put a little more taught into their hides. Not just a lunch box under a tree. Would have been hard to find without the hint! Favourite point, cheers!
found in today's the day's search cache. Everything I went through on foot, in the city and in nature, and thank you for the interesting places in New Zeland. Greeting from the Czech Republic
Another nice little park that we wouldn't have found except for geocaching. Nice camo on the cache, but found fairly quickly as GPS took us straight there.
A fun find while visiting your fabulous city in the process of rebuilding itself. Good luck and tftc!
Nice hide, little search after waiting ages for muggles to leave (went and found another and came back). container is brilliant. 2/4 for the day.
Day one of our round-trip holiday on the south island we spend in the city of Christchurch. Our first impression was the significant amount of damage that the horrible February earthquake caused to the city. The whole central part is still locked of and one can see damaged and collapsed buildings everywhere...what a pity. Nevertheless, the city did not lose its charm and is still a nice place to dwell.
Our third cache in Christchurch led us to this very nice park in the Mao Street neighbourhood. It is a pity to see that almost every second home here has been sealed off because of grave damages. The park well still very lovely. With the hint, it was not so difficult to find the cache in the end.

On our way back to the motel (having to take a large detour because of the blocked ways into the city) we got so close to this cache that we just could not pass by without trying to get to it. Tasaio quickly spied and retrieved the box and we relocated to a nearby bench for the logging. After having waited until the boy with his little dog had been gone again, I tried to replace the cache, but could not find its proper place anymore. Well, the lid had some contact with gravity...
Now all is safely back at its home again. Thanks for the hide here and many greetings from Germany.

Out for a sunny mornings wander with the family. Lovely wee park and playground to stop off at. Wee dudes loved it. Wandered the nearby street admiring the ol' workers cottages....Thanks. Cool wee hide.
Actually found this very quickly, probably a bit of a fluke. Appreciate the work put in. tftc
# 2 today. A relatively easy find, thanks!

We searched everywhere but couldn't find it! Felt very conspicuous in a children's park. It was a lovely park too!
We were disappointed not to find a cache in ChCh as we have managed to find one in every place we have stayed in NZ. It was sad to see the devastation everywhere.

No clown, no dog No sausages thrown at me either eh? Nice little hide Spanky. Cheers.
Quicker find than I expected. The layout of the gardens suggests a possible/past community garden. TFTC. (Log book dated 9/9 - date failure by me)
One thing I enjoy about geocaching is that other geocachers take me to wonderful little parks and reserves that I wouldn't know about or go to. This is one of those. Thanks
#474: Fifth of Six This Morning.
This find is one of six I made this morning by bike. Each was of a different cache type: Multi, Earth, Mystery, Virtual, Traditional, and Webcam. I planned this day over the past week or so, after looking at the map of Christchurch, and seeing the various icons not so far apart. I was a little worried when I woke up to rain, but it stopped quickly, and I could see the sun coming in. The whole route took me about 1.5 hours (not including the flat tyre, walking back towards my place from the corner of Bealey Ave. & Durham St., stopping at a bike shop to buy a new tube, installing the tube on a park bench, and then hobbling home). Glad I could get them all in, despite the hangups.

When I looked at the description for this hide, I was excited – good camo, plus a nice little unknown park! What could be nicer? It also happened to be in between two other places I needed to go today (911 Cache and the AA place up on Hills Rd), and is a Traditional, which the cache type I needed to complete the set. No muggles about today, so I could go about my business in peace (and serenety).
SL/TFTC!
A well disguised and well crafted container - appreciated the effort that went into it. Thanks.
Bumped into an old friend and former colleague spraying the weeds. Also found the cache. Pick of the 6 found today.
Best cache of the day for me. Clever. Creative. Nice friendly man tending to the area.
1st time inside the four avenues since Feb 22 earthquake. All quiet today. Easy find with Old Boots and Rosie. TFTC
Clever hide. Such a peaceful spot considering the devastation so close. Love u Christchurch. TFTC
Before leaving Christchurch a little morning walk in this quiet park which is more like a garden. Found no Moa but a nice little hide. Thanks and good luck to all of you in CHCH!
Located while a nearby resident was tending to the garden in the immediate vicinity ... when I said g'day he asked if I was 'looking for coordinates' so they are obviously aware of the frequent visitors scratching around
took time out from doing property searches with CD team to find the elusive cache. Nice distraction from task at hand TFTC
Thought we would hunt down a Moa,in this neat little park.None in sight today, but found a cleverly hidden Cache instead.TFTH
Last cache for the day and the dark made this one a bit more tricky to find. Luckily it also made the place much less muggly I guess. I'm usually hopeless with this sort of cache but found this one OK. Nice camo and hide too. TFTC, Biggles.
