Together with my family on a vacation trip to New Zealand. Starting at Auckland airport on transfer to Christchurch we went for a roundtrip exploring the south island. This was one of many caches we found while visiting so many nice and interesting places thanks to all the caches why I want to send a thank you to all CO for the work spent.

Day 16 of Angel's and my tour of New Zealand. This is our last day in this beautiful country. Today we drove from Omarama to Christchurch and caught our plane. We saw lots of beautiful sights and had a great time.
Thanks geogeek2 for hiding this cache.

A great day for an icecream. If you look in the shrubbery there is a stake that is at the exact site of the blacksmiths shop, owned by Mr Goldsmith. Interesting history in the area
#4271. Nice location for a cache. Were tempted by the lure of an ice cream, but we were running a bit short of time, so carried on. TFTC.
An interesting place to visit. Fortunately, no-one else had stopped so we were able to quickly find, log then continue on our journey.

NZ12. There were plenty of people at the nearby shop, but no one out in the park. I headed over and had a good look round and soon pulled this cache out. Thanks.

449 - What a cool place for a cache. I loved the history and the sculpture nearby. I had been out caching with Pokernet and MacPacMum and after completing the Thompson's Track run, we extended out stay to enjoy some of the local caches on our way to Methven. Cache was full of water but log was writable. TFTC, Pix to follow
Had to wait and eat lunch while muggles got out of the trees. Quick find on way home. TFTC
Found at 11.15am after coffee at the nearby store.
Nice coffee - not sure if they like tourists too much though.
A quick find, logbook soaked.
Thanks

An interesting combination of name and occupation. The cache was quickly found. The cache was in a pool of water, so we added another log sheet, and replaced it on the stones mentioned in wardsmithfamily’s log, although in this position it is more visible than desirable. TFTC
easy find, a few muggles at store but no prob. Someone had put some stones beneath cache to keep it out of moisture, also new paper added, so all good.

Logroll completely wet and full.
We did some new paper in it and logged there.cache needs to be refreshed for all the logs before us are almost hard to read! Quick find .( Holland ) very Nice spot

Cache was floating in water. I dried the outside off, but the inside is completely dry. Good container! I placed the cache further up in the niche that appears to be it's original hide. TFTC SL
Quick find on a drive-by. We didn't try the coffee cafe nearby but may do so tomorrow. TFTC
Thanks for encouraging us to visit TFTC.

Thanks for a cool cache! The cache owner is especially cool. Nice info panel as well, TFTC!
On our way for a wander to a water fall... but had to stop for this. Nice hide, not too open.
Quick find.
Quick find.
Thanks erninz for the replacement. Nice quick find before reading the interesting information panel. TFTC #2859
A really hot day so it was good to have an excuse to stop and stretch in a shady area. Pulled up and walked towards GZ hidden from the muggles some distance away. Found parts of the canister on the ground and the cache note caught on a lower limb. I have replaced the container complete with a log and the cache note but no plastic bag!. After this I made a walk to the adjoing premises for something cool.
Thanks

It was lovely to stand and read the information and see the buildings it described. Nobody else around. TFTC
Nice not having to grovel. Remember bringing my family here to skate 30 plus years ago. Thank you.
I've been further up this side road for a cache in the past but first time to actually stop at this spot. Cache quickly found. TFTC, Biggles.
TFTC. Nice hide a little away from the main focus of the area. The local community has done a great job here. Well worth the stop.
Busy place this Easter Sunday afternoon with travellers stopping off for a break at the nearby Cafe, well placed bush provided cover for searching cachers, TFTC.
We stopped for icecreams, photos (of the feaure) and a cache. Three out of three and the sun was shining as well. Thanks
Really interesting history tied up with this location. Quick to find once the coords had locked in.
Thanks for the placement, wasn't too sure that Cafe clientele were going to spot me hanging around GZ. SL TFTC
Quick stop on way back to Christchurch from Mt Somers. Discovered small cache and turned my back while others still searched. Good fun
After Tramping and Caching up Mt Somers, with a team of six from ChCh,we stopped by here on the way back home.Found quickly.TFTC
It was only after a chance meeting with geogeek2 at the Woolshed Creek Hut that I really became aware of this cache's existance. It didn't show on my printed map of active and previously found caches as it's position was neatly overwritten with the name of the earlier cache that I had found here. Very competitive find by those of the Mt Somers assault party (La Vista, Rediguana, Womble-T, Smoothhound, Grandalf and BaldEd) who hadn't already found it. Thanks for the cache.
The two vehicles screeched to a halt, and cachers ran to GZ (Well, as much as they could run after climbing Mt Somers that same day).
Cache was very quickly found, signed and replaced. Thanks and cheers from Grandalf(1913)

1500hrs Quick stop. The Italian Job was here......! Our blog www.motorhominginxs.blogspot.com
Nice quick find for a film cannister compared to the 10 min search for the much larger cache previous to this. Nice wee rest area but luckily no one around this morning. Maybe to early on a Friday luckily. TFTC
After the cache was found I went to the local general store to try their "Famous Sausage Rolls" I was nice too. Great place to stop. TFTC
3495. A quick find with no-one around. Muggles arrived at the information board just as we were leaving.
Thanks

After 2 Days walking in the rain around MT Somers i found this lil' Cache on my way back to Chch, tftc
Couldn't miss this one, a quick find. Hopped into the local shop for an icecream too. SL. TFTC.
Found during a brief stop on the way to Christchurch. Made things difficult for myself by following the GPSr which took me to a nearby location with vast numbers of possible hiding places. Was just about to give up when I realised that there was another spot close by with only one possible hiding-place, and sure enough it was there. Signed log, TFTC!
