I am regretfully archiving this cache since unfortunately there has been no action to restore it, or any communication from the cache owner, HarderTas, requesting additional time.
An ample opportunity has been provided for the Cache Owner to respond, but since this opportunity has been ignored, I can only conclude that the cache has been abandoned.

###Cache Maintenance Visit Required please.###
This geocache has been brought to my attention as needing an Owner Maintenance visit, as the logs indicate that it is most likely missing, or else some other problem exists with the cache. See the [GCHQ Health Score](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=713) process.
I agree that it certainly seems necessary to have it checked by the Cache Owner.
The cache owner needs to:
* Take action to restore the cache or address issues such as correcting the D/T rating.
* Re-enable the cache by posting an Enable log
* Post an Owner Maintenance log to advise what has been done and to clear any Needs Maintenance attribute which is present.
Otherwise :
* Post a Note Log to request more time if necessary or provide other information..
**Do not use an Owner Maintenance log for this. That is for use only **when you actually do something to repair the cache**.
Alternatively:
* Archive the cache, and remove any remaining geo-litter from the site.
In the meantime, I've temporarily disabled the cache page to await owner action by HarderTas and to take it off the playing board to prevent further geocaching community inconvenience.
[Please see the maintenance section of the Geocache Hiding Guidelines.](https://www.geocaching.com/play/guidelines?expand=1#cachemaintenance)
**I will check back in 30 days** to see that action has been by the CO.
If nothing has happened, I will assume that the cache has been abandoned, and, unfortunately, I will need to Archive this cache.
*Caches archived because of lack of maintenance/abandonment will not be unarchived.*
The Geocaching Community needs to have a degree of certainty that a cache is in good condition, waiting to be found, and the CO has a responsibility to maintain their caches.
Please see [my profile page](https://www.geocaching.com/p/default.aspx?u=Balayang) for additional information.
Thank you

Had a go at finding this cache while exploring the west coast area of Tassie for a week.
Unfortunately also a DNF for us.

Alas, no luck for us today.
There's been some work on the track, though.
Can we get a cache check, please?

Visited the mine today on an organised tour which is well worth doing!
Owners are aware of the cache and apparently not super happy about it.
Reassured them geocaching was a very consciences activity and doing no harm is an essential part of caching.
Even so, I hope this survives!

Was unable to find, found some rocks that looked like the spot but then again un sure, nice spot too thanks
Today, Mrs Oz KEG and myself decided to venture to Queenstown. We spotted a virtual cache to the south that we couldn't resist a drive out to see what the mysterious object was. We grabbed this cache on the way back. There was a lovely cool breeze coming out of the old mine, TFTC.
Today we headed to Queenstown with the intention of hopefully collecting the two new caches that had very recently been placed out there and also picking up several other Queenstown caches that we have not yet gotten around to. The weather forecast was pretty grim with rain , rain and more rain . However we decided to persevere anyway. We had a relatively early start. The drive was pleasant and uneventful but the nearer we got to the west the harder and more persistent the rain got. As they say though there is not such thing as bad weather just inappropriate clothing so luckily for us we were well equipped with wet weather gear. We did end up looking like drowned rats however we had great fun and collected six well placed caches along the way, including two first to finds.
As we made our way to this cache a combination of heavy rain and fog made the driving quite treacherous. We drove quite slow and parked at the look out near gz. Not much of a view but the fog did break for a few short seconds enough for us to snap a photo or two. It was very slippy going to get the the cache even though it was technically only a short stroll. Wonderful area though, the waterfall flowing with gusto and we were happy to quickly find and log the cache. TFTC

I was looking forward to this cache - I had heard reports that the location was brilliant.
Unfortunately, a gate has been erected at the site, so no exploring for me today.

Hi
Can the community be given a month to try and fix this cache. Getting to the cache at the moment might be difficult due to weather conditions

###Cache Owner Action Needed###
This cache has been brought to my attention as likely to be missing.
After a string of successful Finds, it has now had a string of DNFs. I agree that this certainly suggests that something has happened at the cache location which requires investigation by the CO, HarderTas.
The cache will be disabled and I'll check back in 30 days to see if either
- the CO has checked or rectified the apparent problem
- the CO has communicated in a Note log here, when action will be taken
**If the CO has not taken either of these actions, then we can only assume that the cache has been abandoned and, regrettably, it will be archived.**
The Geocaching Community needs to have a degree of certainty that a cache is out there to be found, and the CO has a responsibility to maintain their caches.
Thank you

After looking for quite a while we gave up. The tunnel was gated with surveillance camera. Thanks for bringing us here though. We enjoyed the waterfall that we crossed to gz
Had a look in the obvious spot. But didn’t find it. I reckon the previous 2 finds aren’t real. Can guarantee the last one isn’t. As they have meant to of found some of mine.
We were exploring the Queenstown area today and thought we would get a few caches. After visiting the confluence we thought we would collect this one. Unfortunately after a good look in a few places including the obvious feature matching the hint, we couldn't find it. A real shame as this is an interesting area.
T-Tech and I are down from Brisbane for a meandering holiday around Tasmania. We flew to Melbourne where we picked up the campervan and spent a day caching there, then took Spirit of Tasmania I to Devonport. Tick that one off the bucket list!
Today we are travelling from Hamilton to Strahan as we have a booking for the weekend there. We have made it to Queenstown, so it's time to head south and grab the Virtual near Crotty Dam, but we'd better gather the other two caches along the way! This one was done in the drizzle, and I hadn't read the Description so was very surprised to see where we ended up! Water was running pretty strongly down to the road but we managed to follow the path up to the gate, and made the find. What a gem indeed. TFTC, HarderTas. Have a favourite point.

Down from Brisbane on hols with IolantheK.
Another one of many on our travels through Tassie [^]
Nothing I like more than caching in the rain, ask IolantheK
Although I did enjoy finding a real mine, virtually had to negotiate a fast flowing creek in making our way up
Cache is dry and in good condition [^]

We travelled to the West Coast with two of our daughters and one of our granddaughters for a three day visit. As we had a DNF here about four years ago it is nice to now log a found it. Thanks for the cache.
What a little hidden gem. Loved the location and the cache was a bonus. Thanks HarderTas.
Great our enjoyed journey on way to Queenstown for overnight. Found your cache today. HarderTas, thank you so much for placing it.
TFTC very interesting to see the old mine shaft and beautiful view at the Mt Huxley lookout down the road
I left Adelaide ten days ago and slowly made my way across to Melbourne, then across on the ferry, and now I’m headed to Hobart, primarily to catch up with family and friends. But I have also been chasing down some selected caches, as well as a few opportunistic finds along the way.
Today I travelled from near Stanley, down to Queenstown via Tullah, then on to Bronte Lagoon where I camped.
I stopped to find this one on my way out to do the Virtual cache, ‘Why The Hell Is It There?’. It was a quick find. Looks like they are not keen to allow entry into the old mine any more by the look of that gate and sign!
Thanks HarderTas for the cache.

On our trip trough Tassie we want to made some smilies on our map.
We was not sure if we are able to drove this road. But it worked.
Today it is a rainy and cold day but between two rainshowers we search the container. We search a long time, but nothing there. So we gave a new container with a logbook.
Thank you for the cache and greetings from Germany send Moorhelmi

Found the obvious spot where it would be sitting going by the hint given (under rocks in the bush at the right side of the entrance) and was nowhere to be found. Seem it’s disappeared.
Out with the geokids and zackg717 looked high and low and in the obvious spot from the hint but no luck this time.
Tassie Trip Day 42 - It was a catch up on some caches that have been missed and collecting a very old cache as well the day was a beautiful day for cache and a great clear day for those much wanted photos of the are so some places previous visited were visited again.
Well after arriving at a suitable location to park and made our way up to the wonderful location not as easy as it looked but after conducting an extensive search we could not find this cache and found many places that it could have been at so maybe a check is needed given that other logers of the cache have recorded the fact the log is very wet.
Thanks Harder Tas for showing us this wonderful piece of history.

Nice quick find. Another great scenery cache that gets a favourite from me. Didn't have time to go down the tunnel or a torch.

Yep, good name for this cache. We had a bit of a look for it but were too distracted by the old mine. We came equipt with torches so explored the tunnels for a while. We came out and found the cache almost immediately. Thanks for bringing us here HarderTas
This is why we love geocaching. We would never have known about this without the cache being placed here.
Thanks HarderTas

Left Hobart early in the morning and had a list of caches to pick up on our way to Queenstown for a stop over then heading to Corinna and then Waratah for Australia Day Event! If it wasn’t for geocaching we wouldn’t venture down these little tracks. What a gem!! Lady membsec was a bit blind here as I couldn’t see how to get to where I wanted to go. Luckily male membsec was alert as he spotted both the track and cache! Wow, very interesting tunnel.
Thanks for bringing us here!

Wow this was by far one of the best geocaches on our road trip around Tassie. It stopped raining when we arrived at the cave. Spend a lot of time exploring and when we returned heavy rain started. I started searching for the geocache and after some looking around we found it. As the log was wet I replaced it quickly to avoid further rain getting in. TFTC
Quick easy find and a nice little explore of the mine. Container and log book were quite damp. TFTC
HarderTas thank you for the cache.
This was one of many caches I found on a caching trip to Queenstown with Swampy .
I spent a bit of time searching for this one where the hint suggested with no luck before Swampy came up to see what I was doing. After another search he found it for me.
While I was signing the log Swampy headed off into the mine, a little while latter I followed but as I only had the touch on my GPS I got scared and walked back out to safety. I was nearly back to the car when Swampy returned from the mine and said how far it went in.
After retrieving the camera from the car we both headed back in to the end of both tunnels. The shaft at the end was a surprise, the question was asked did they dig it from the bottom up or from the top down and why was it needed.

No luck today, but no regrets.
I've been over this way almost every year of my life, yet never knew the location of the mine. Went in as far as we dared, loved the copper leaching out the walls!
Was surprised at the end by some Victorian people coming up to have a look. If you are cachers, Hello!
Thanks for the cache, for us it's 100% about the location. The lack of a find is just a good excuse for us to come back.l!

Explored the mine first ... couldn't believe how far they went and the end of the second tunnel/deviation was well worth the trek.
Not sure if the cache has been moved? we took quite awhile to locate it with 5 pair of eyes.
May have just been bad reception today but co-ords seemed to be way off the final location.
Thank you for the cache HarderTas.

I'm logging this cache as a favourite as it was really interesting to see the mine, especially one so accessible from the road.
We ventured inside a little way, but as I only had a phone torch we didn't go too far. I'd love to come back and have a proper look around.

Another cache that I had never had the time for in the past due to it always being a busy work trip, but today an early start helped me get to the great views at the nearby parking and then after a short walk to ground zero I had a bit of a search and almost started to panic when I could spot the cache but in the end the hide was spotted and my name added to the log book that was a bit wet.
After that it was into the tunnel that went on after twists and turns as far as you can go, I enjoyed this part of the cache very much, having not been in a tunnel like this before it was great fun, I always find it fun to turn off the torch to get that 'full dark' feeling, on the way out I spotted some very green rocks and sparkles in the walls.
Its a safe walk to the tunnel end and dry underfoot apart from like the listing says the first few feet, apart from a couple of place I could stand up and walk along with no fear of banging my head on anything.
Thanks for the cache, its worth a favourite point for the smile I had when I left.

Our First one on our tassi Trip. Maybe One of the Most spectacular Cache i ever Made!! Thank you for showing.
Woke up late today, but still headed out with our picnic lunch and GPSr loaded.....
Headed out of town to the lookouts first, then on to this one, which is actually near a lookout....
We had lunch, then headed, with our torch, in search of a gem. Once located, we entered the cavern, quite scarey, but mad it to the end. WOW, WOW, WOW. I wont say any more.

Touring around Tassie exploring some of its natural beauty while grabbing some caches along the way. Wouldn't know this little gem was here without caching, geo son was very disappointed we forgot the torch to go exploring.
Tftc. I love how caching takes you to a secret world that others miss. I'm up here with Quitto admiring this find listening to cars go past without a clue this treasure is even here
The Bear and WKC enjoyed exploring this mine and as we were walking out, a tour group was heading in. Once out we quickly located the nearby cache. We would have never known this was here had it not been for the cache. TFTC.
Amazing place so close to the road. Got a great surprise at the end. Lots of fun here. Thanks so much for placing this cache Definitely worth a fav point.
An excellent view from the cache. Not keen on entering the mine though. Thanks for the recommendation Team_Crumble
Love the spot, worth walking all the way to the end of the mine shaft, there's a random surprise at the end! It's only a couple of hundred meters deep, you will need a torch and preferably boots as there's a few puddles along the way. Yet another hidden treasure that only the locals would know about if not for the cache! Contents are pretty damp but could still write in the log.
We were very pleased to be taken to such a great location - although we didn't venture into the mine it was good to stand at the entrance of one. We followed the very specific hint but did not find the cache - don't know what we were missing - I guess another severe case of cache blindness. Thanks anyway.
TFTC interesting mine but wasn't too keen to go to far inside! Amazing that it is still open to walk in. Hung around a bit fossicking for gold with geokids -no luck there though! But we did get a light snowfall!
Shattered I couldn't find this one! But with kiddies and partner in the car I couldn't search for any longer than 10 minutes. Loved the location and am still amazed at what locations geocaching takes us too! This was definitely an hidden gem! I will be back one day to find you!
Looked all around according to the hint but no luck. Seems a small collapse has occurred that may have covered the cache. Or maybe we just weren't looking in the right spot. But we walked to the end of the tunnel which was pretty cool. Well worth the visit.
Definitely a favourite from us! The kids loved it and Geodad was keen to go exploring! And another time we got to say 'would never know it's there except for geocaching'! TFTC
After spending the day 4WDing out to Mount McCall and the leisurely drive to the Bird River, I was able to stop and grab this one with Chris Mc. Must come back with a torch to investigate further.
Cache was found by Chris Mc, I think. He might be getting the caching bug.... Pondered how to get the unpublished trig across the ravine.
Thanks for the cache.

Well it is certainly a hidden gem. Nothing to see from the road but definitively worth the visit. cache was easily found and in good condition Great views from GZ. TFTC HarderTas,

Didn 't dare make our way all the way into the mine. Very interesting place! Thank's a lot.
Didnt walk into that black and wet hole but the location was really interesting! Stunning sunset-views from the closeby lookout... Thanks a lot!
Found it after some looking. Might need to keep an eye on this site as there has been track work and it was very close to the hiding spot. It could get accidentally discovered !!! But great site kids loved the cave !!!

Intended to grab this one on the way to Lake Burbury yesterday but the weather was too bad so came back out to do it the next day. Got to GZ only to realise we had left the torch in the car. Found the cache though and returned again the next day with our muggle friends for a look in the cave. Unfortunately we didn't get far as it was too wet inside. Thanks, it certainly is a hidden gem.
Hi HarderTas
After seeing Mum off this morning; Anne and I left for the West Coast about 0810hrs.
This cache was fourth on the agenda for today; having found Budge's "Kings Park" before leaving Hobart; Prionote's "Lookout Donaghy" on the way and 2y'stassie's "ICEM Verse 6 Queenstown" as the first in the Queenstown area today.
Arrived at the car parking area and had the area to myself except for the passing traffic of which there was very little.
The short climb was very enjoyable except for the pressure it put on my ailing achilles tendon.
The fossick was short lived; the cache was soon in hand, the log signed and the cache replaced as found at 1545hrs.
Would have ventured in for a short look but did not have a head lamp with me.
Just loved this cache and the views nearby. A great cache.
Gets a favourite from me!
Back into the cache mobile and off to find one more cache while Anne toured the Museum in Queenstown.
Found five caches in total for the day. Had a better time watching Anne's face as she got a better look at the West Coast. She loved Nelsons Falls!
Thanks for the cache and the fun of the find
Cheers OldSaint.

This was a quick dash (15 minutes) from town while the other half of the team was at work on a working visit. Retirement is good! We will have to come back with torches so we can explore inside the mine as everyone here has said how fabulous it looks. Thanks for showing non-locals this place
A gem of a cache, driven past here many times without knowing this was here...thanks for sharing..
What a top spot. Pouring with rain .. which made the nearby waterfall even more speccy. Junior Calist loved fossicking for the green minerals. TFTC
This sure is a gem of a cache. As tourists we are constantly amazed at where geocaching takes us. Only a local would know of this amazing place. The mint green, and turquoise minerals are truly beautiful. Thanks so much HarderTas for bringing us here. A favorite point from us.[^]
This was a favourite cache for us. The tunnel was awesome with all the beautiful coloured minerals leeching out. A real adventure. Thanks for the cache HarderTas
Awesome cache. I love a tunnel and a mine. This was fantastic. The views from nearby were fabulous as well. Well done. Love your work.
