As there's been either no response from the cache owner, no cache to find or log to sign, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace/make available the cache sometime in the near future (next 30 days), just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the current guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

This one had geo-daughter and myself going around and around in circles scratching our heads. Where could it be in such a small park. Finally the smartphone GPS started giving some accurate updates and it narrowed the search area. With the hint the cache presented itself. This is a really great cache.
Picked up the TBs.

26-Jun-11
Just up from the coast overnight visiting family I realised there was a cache just down the street. I used to play in this park growing up, and I maintain that it was heaps better back when it had the rope and tyre climbing rig.
Wasn't getting an accurate read on the GPS but after checking the clue I was able to find it instantly, having found a similar cache locally.
I love when caches pop up in places I have spent a lot of time in. TFTC.

Stranded at home on a wet and cold public holiday, we thought it was a good idea to go out and stretch our legs. Found no problems reaching GZ and was thankful that the weather held off while we searched for the cache. Once we found the cleverly hidden cache, we logged our find and dropped off Zino the trackable. Smile

Certainly is a mini park. Wasn't expecting anything this small. Little geodaughter enjoyed the swings and see saw. Cache was soon in hand. Little geodaughter was sad to find no swaps so we left a little something for the next little geokid. TFTC.

10-May-11
I was the area for work so I had a lunch break here and waited till the builders next door was not up the ladder watching me.
I went in for the hunt and spotted something just shiny enough to attract my attention.I quickly retrieved the cache and sat down to complete the paperwork when all of a sudden a builder came around and said "How yu going mate!" to witch I replied good and you? I then had to wait till he was not looking and place cache back carefully.
Wow there were people everywhere.... this cache should be one notch harder to find Wink

07-May-11
Quite an easy find as I have seen another like this. So cache was quickly in hand. However, just as I had signed the log and closed it up an nanny and three young children turned up to play on the swings etc. There's a limited amount of time a lone middle-aged man can loiter in a children's playground without feeling uncomfortable, so the cache hitched a ride to Billy Goat Gruff and back before being returned (apologies if you were looking about 4pm Sat arvo). SL (maybe dated it the 6th by mistake) TNLN TFTC

Great gem of a cache in the middle of a quaint park. Had us stumped at first, but as we cleared our minds while playing on the swings, the clue hit home. Nicely hidden and well thought out, was a fun find compared to others we have found around Ryde previously. Thanks for taking us here. TFTC Smile

Last time i came past here it was muggles galore. Clearly nobody had noticed that the rain had stopped today, and all was quiet. Nice, quick straightforward find, so got the formalities over in no time. TN, left 'Have you seen me?' geocoin to continue its travels. TfTc, NorthRyder Smile!!

With only a few options to choose from, and using my caching-kit mirror to search. I quickly found the location, but then not only did a van pull in to the house on one side, but someone arrived home on the other, so I had to stall a few minutes waiting for a clear shot at grabbing it, which I did the hard way as I had missed the tiny tell-tale sign previously mentioned.
took all the swaps (A mini-caribiner and the geocoin), and left a star wars pin, a cloth patch and a different geocoin.
Returned without muggles, and left the way it should be (& probably was if I had looked differently).

Aha found it on my third return visit.
First time - three muggles turned up early in my search and just sat on the ground watching me... I asked if they were geocachers and they said "huh?" so I abandoned the search, although I suspected where the cache was.
Second time - came back and there was another muggle sitting ont the bench, so didnt even try
Third time - beauty - empty! Went up to where I suspected and there was a tiny tell-tale sign. I grinned to myself...

I was up in Sydney for work and decided to stop in here for lunch and a cache. Seemed easy enough on arrival though almost got my arm stuck. No cache? For some reason, it was mirror day today. Out came the mirror for a detailed examination. Cache found but it was out of reach! Luckily I jagged it with a stick and out she came. Phew. Swapped trackables and then returned it in a way I think it was intended.

Wasn't sure if cash was muggled due to all the litter lying around. No, still there...I think the dead bird is keeping them away [:0]

05-Feb-11
Nice hide - not too many possibilities here so easy to find. A couple of amorous teenagers turned up and sat on the swings while we were signing the log. How to replace the cache? As it happened they were so preoccupied with each other it was all too easy!
Took the Aussie flag TB and signed the log. TFTC!

02-Feb-11
This is on the way home from work, but when first listed I saw the coords and description and I knew they were out. So didn't bother with a FTF attempt on the way home. Instead I have left it as an available one for me to find one when I need it.

Well, I've never found one before on 2 Feb so this was the one for today to tick that box. A nice easy find in the park with coords spot on and nobody around. Made the grab, sat on the seat to do the log, replaced then on to West Ryde to meet my girlfriend for some shopping. Thanks NorthRyder for the cache.

31-Jan-11
Excellent hide, very sneaky. Chook and I walked into this very pleasant little park and made our way to GZ. We were stumped cause there was nothing really obvious except for grass. So we checked around the playground equipment and the trees and the fence...Then, we had an idea! Egged on by Chook, I took a deep breath, put my fears aside (about sticking my hand blindly into an area that probably is a den for all sorts of creepy crawlies), and dove headlong into my Geocache hunting destiny. And...Hey presto! Later, after Chook had completed the log, we were interrupted by a couple of drunk Muggles who decided the park would be a great place to have a rest. Chook and I put on the romantic couple who want to be alone act, and they got the gist and moved on. We then put the cache back and went on our way.

Second find of the day on a 10 mile hike from North Ride to Macqaurie University. This one was found by my muggle friend in training. Good hide. TFTC

19-Jan-11
I actually went to this little park yesterday but I didn't have time to look around thoroughly. I did see the mess though so when I went back today I took a black bag and some gloves. I hope the next cacher will find it a little more pleasant to sit down to log their visit. This is my first Aussie find! I started caching while on holiday in Florence over Christmas.

Cache Hunt 210; GAFF1; Weather, overcast; Helpers, none. Cache condition, Good. Finds for the day, 1
A new cache near my work area. Got the chance to hunt after work. Got to gz and the funniest thing, a lonely girl swinging on the swings! And swinging and swinging and swinging. She just wouldn't go, so not wanting to hang around and wait, I took off and checked gps where a Trig came up so did that first. Came back and she was gone. narrowed in on gz and figured the likey spot, sure enough, ahh that feels right Smile. Sat in comfort on the bench and SL. TNLN. Returned as stealthly as I could, which was a little hard, and you'll know what I mean when you see it. Placed it back and marked it as done. TFTC.

After Lucky Somerset this was our last cache within our 10km radius unfound so we headed to this tiny litter strewn park. Faced with the bushes and their rubbish I thought it wasn't going to be there and thinking a bit more laterally (and reminded of another hide within a few km of here) I made the find. Signed the log and returned it exactly as it was.
Thanks!

12-Jan-11
What a lovely little reserve, but why sooo much rubbish and empty bottles. Next visitors, please bring a plasic bag and remove as much as you can after having signed the log.
Btw, it is still a mall container, 200 ml sistema, I wouldn't call it a regular.

12-Jan-11
Sat in my car listening to the unfolding drama of the Qld floods while the local postie sat on the bench having a very leisurely lunch. After a good half hour he decided to move on and I moved in. Tried here, there and everywhere but eventually found the cache in a spot I had already checked - obviously not that thoroughly. Good hide - TFTC NorthRyder!

Had to eliminate the obvious before finding something on closer inspection, and it is a regular container Red Face Nice hide, TFTC

I saw the published log today at work, and it's pretty much on the way home. At the same time I knew the coords were out as I know where that school is, I drive past it most days. So decided to leave any FTF attempt on the way home (probably wouldn't have been early enough anyway). But hey, you get that occasionally. My first hide was about 1km out which I didn't notice until after it had been published and had to make a quick email to the reviewer.

04-Jan-11
I'm wondering if these coordinates are correct.

Kathleen Reserve is nearby, but not at this spot.

Could be embarrassing if geocachers try to enter private property this evening!

Please advise.

Arrived to see Team Lego Man hard at work searching. Coords a tad off. Finally found it as a joint FTF. Woo Hoo

Found better luck with the following Coords
S33• 47.618
E151•07.427

04-Jan-11
Woohoo FTF @ 16:55. Luckily I checked Google Maps before heading off and realised the co-ords weren't quite right. By my GPS about 500m out. Arrived to find a family happily playing on the swings etc. so tried to look unsuspicious while searching.

Finally the father asked what I was up to so gave him a quick run down on Geocaching which satisfied him. Continued searching while they played and shortly after a vehicle approached at speed, pulling up alongside the park.

It was the big man, Geomatica who had come out of retirement hoping for a quick find. Together we continued the search and finally a tell tale sign was noticed. Clever hide.

We both had a quiet sit, did our logging duties and discussed the state of caching in 2011. Good to see you back in the hunt. Before we left Nanny & Bo arrived and with a bit of a hint they were soon signing as well.

Thanks North Ryder, hope to see you grabbing a few more caches soon and even placing the odd one as well.

04-Jan-11
Found by Nanny and Bo on an overcast Tuesday.
Only the third to find. Well done Team Lego Man and Geomatica.
We were unable to find Kathleen Park at the published co-ords, so we headed about 550 metres to the said Kathleen Park and saw the bench. Hell two people were sitting on it and playing with GPSs.
As we had no co-ords, we looked around from the bench, and used the clue. Nanny explored the most likely spot, but was too short, so Bo found it.
Nice to meet fellow cachers in the wild.
