After a few domestic chores this morning the time came for me to head out and enjoy a spot of geocaching. Heading the geowagon in the direction of the hills today I had a few target caches on the radar for a challenge cache Im working on. Arriving at an appropriate place to park the geowagon I soon made my way to GZ and located the prize. Made my mark and I as soon on my way to the next adventure.A big thanks to the cache owner for making this cache available for fellow cachers to enjoy.Cheers
gefscofix I found your cache A Chamorro in Oz II on 21/6/2023, 2:55 pm. This is my find 5658 and find # 10 today. Found it after a brief search. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN
Today, [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) and I took a drive west along Mount Nebo Road to do some hiking. We first visited Westridge Outlook lookout, and then returned to then take the hike to Mount Nebo lookout. Following lunch, we then made stops at Camp Mountain Park, and then Enoggera Reservoir to complete the Adventure Lab in that vicinity. A final stop to see the dam saw the day out for us.
We parked next to the gate, and made the short walk to GZ, passing the well highlighted water tank. After a brief search, it was great to have found an ammo can, but the large ant colony nest just next to the cache were not happy with my retrieval. The cache container and logbook were in good shape, and I took the TB for onwards travels. Thanks rhodesisland and gefscofix for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.
Note that this geocache was logged with the *Team Warren* Davidwazza/jesswrigley stamp.

After attending a Celebration Event at Lake Wivenhoe I went in search of a few caches on the way home. Parked the car and headed off to find cache. It wasn't long before I had the cache in hand and I was leaving my signature. TFTC
I was out for a morning drive and did a check of caches in the area when a few appeared that I had not done, this was one of them. Trying to continue my challenges of a trad a day and a cache a day these will fit in nicely.
I parked just at the start of the track which was just off the road and it was a short walk. Upon reaching GZ I soon spied the cache but wasn’t sure as to why the objects were in the cache. Having been to GUAM a few times I wasn’t sure why the items were in the cache, then reading the description I soon put the pieces together with the reason and it made sense, thank you. Cache is in good condition all nice and dry inside and with the log signed and cache replaced as found it was time to move on to a couple others in the area. Thank you for placing this one here and maintaining this cache.

Driving back from Mt Nebo this cache popped up as being a relatively quick grab with convenient parking...
Even with what feels like gale force winds it was quite peaceful here...
Replaced the snap lock bag and left some American coin... collected the Tb... tftc...

Staying inside the 50km radius today, a slightly unplanned caching trip as the planned outing has to wait until I feel able.
After a bit of loop around GZ I made the find

We found this one today whilst we were out and about in the Glorious /Nebo area, TFTC from the inspectorrexteam. And giving this one some love.
Out caching with grannysmith1947 today. After our walk went up Mt Nebo to turn the green dots yellow. Love the drive.

This one took us way too long to find, mostly because the GPS was all over the place. Confusingly, switching from the Premium Trails map to the basic Street map changed the location of the track, and the cache jumped back and forth across it. Eventually dereki and I found a good sized cache in good condition. TFTC.
Strue's Bob, tbis IS our favourite type of container! I am amazed it is 6 montbs since someone was here. Tftc
After a crappy work week, I rewarded myself with a Sunday arvo bush on Mt Nebo. Heading home now, but still time to grab a few caches on the way, including this one.

I was meeting up with K8'n'Co this morning to do a walk along Enoggera Creek and I decided to grab a few caches along Mt Nebo Rd on the way. This was my last stop before reaching the meeting point. I was surprised by how close the cache was to the track but it's obviously a good hide. Thanks.
Quick and easy find, just a few metres off the road with easy parking. It's pouring down, so had to take the cache to a nearby roof to sign the log!

With a couple of free hours after lunch, I headed up Wingaap Drive to tidy up the handful of remaining hides not previously found.
Parked nearby and a short walk later was opening every cachers favourite type of container.
Thanks for the hunt **rhodesisland/gefscofix**, this find makes #4572. Discover our TB

Having a day out today with wombles and co in the rain, we headed up this way to target some specific caches today, and after wombles got the previous cache, we decided we would grab this one too while here. We ALMOST walked from the last cache. . Yep that's right, but thankfully sanity and a logical look at the map stopped us and we realised there was a trailhead right nearby that made much more sense to use.
Phew!
So hopping back in the car we headed down and parked only a short stroll away from GZ. A quick walk and a quick find, I loved hearing the birds around the treetops here.
Thanks for the cache gefscofix.

Friday. Out with a long-time friend who wanted to come caching with us - JohnnyCacheQ.
We were getting a bit worried as we approached this, as there appeared to be nowhere to pull off the road, but as we rounded the corner, a agret off-road area apppeared, and we parked and then took the short walk to the cache - after a little bit of compass bounce. Soon found the little blighter hiding!
This was the 4th of 5 caches found on today's trip.
Thanks ***gefscofix***, for showing us this place.

TFTC... 8/5/17. Tough Mothers out in the drizzle, cool day walking. Wandered about a bit with unsettled weather playing havoc with the compass. Was sort of obvious in hindsight.

Stopped off for a bit of lunch & wondered if there was a cache nearby. Bingo! We'd parked only a short walk away. A nice quick find. TFTC.
A long drive up here with the geodog after work today. As I was on my way the rain came down, but was soon clearing over the ranges. A good spot for parking and had the short 80m walk to the GZ. The rain was far off in the distance but claps of thunder would be heard in the background when I returned to the car. Another find for the day. TFTC gefscofix
I somehow managed to turn this cache into a higher D/T than it is.
My gps had me heading in all directions even though i thought the cache was at the first place i saw. Should have followed my geo-sense.
Laughed at myself when i did reveal the hidden container, right there. Will i ever learn.....?
All good here with this cache.
Signed and returned.

Cache #9 of 10 for Kim and Barb's Excellent Adventure Take 2.
We were headed back down the mountain, our day of caching coming to an end. We found a great parking spot and Barb looks at me with a smile on her face and says "can't you get us any closer?" - we were only about 40 m from the cache . I'm sure she had been eating funny pills because when the GPS got to 0 m in the middle of the track I was told to start digging. Instead we spied something of interest nearby and soon had the cache in hand. Wow, it's come all the way from Guam - fancy that! Thanks for the cache gefscofix, we had fun looking for it

We decided it be would be nice to do a run from The Gap, over Mt. Glorious, to Lake Wivenhoe today.
Every now & then you just have to escape suburbia.
Co-ords initially led us to the wrong side but all good in the end.

Having driven up the Goat Track thought we'd track down a few Mt Nebo caches before heading home. Nice little walk
Last one for the day.
Parked nearby and noticed one other car.
Headed to GZ.
After a short search I found the cache and was just signing the log when I heard someone coming.
I quickly hid the cache and the muggle passed thinking I had been hiking as I had my walking pole with me.

I had been working my way along Mt Nebo Road for most of the morning and the early afternoon and found myself at this spot. This turned out to be the last stop before turning back East this afternoon, and I has happy to make a quick find.
Since there had ben another car parked down near the gate it got the business done quickly, although I imagine that many would be taking the trails alot further then I am to make this find today.

1st of 7 finds today . such a great sunny day just perfect for caching TFTC
Amazingly, this cache made its way onto my nearest to home list, and I was keen for a visit this afternoon. As I drove along, I encountered substantial road works very close to the GZ. As I navigated around them, it then seemed I had nowhere convenient to pull over on that side of the road, so I continued on to Jolly's Lookout and a jolly good cache there before returning and finding a spot to pull over across the road. I then had to make my way through lots of equipment etc just to get to the park gate. I don't know what they're doing here, but it looks big. However, the cache appears to be well out of harm's way. I found it very rapidly and was pleased to liberate the two TBs which have resided here for the last five months or so. Definitely time for them to move on! TFTC where everything is dry and fine.
Two quick caches this afternoon, out with Greatjustgreat. Nice easy find. Left two trackables. Tftc.
After parking the car I made the short walk to gz, yet again today the trees seemed to interfere with my gps. I looked a few places before I recognise the cache hiding place.
After signing the log I grabbed the TB.

Great day to go and drop off a TB. The cache is very dry for where it is placed. Good to have a decent sized cache for a largeish TB. Thanks
Out and about with the lovely lady membsec for a bit of an adventure, lunch and a couple of caches. We starting searching in the wrong area for this one, but when we couldn't find anything we moved to a more likely spot. As Ladybmembsec was about to look behind a certain thing I suggested that maybe what was close to her person was hiding the cache. Sure enough when she investigated the place I suggested, she found the cache, along with a massive snail. Signed log and replaced as found.

99km from home.
Taking the scenic way home from Brisvegas we took a pleasant stroll along the track to find the cache. As we approached the GZ, Mrs RF said it will be over there, I said no it’s the other side of the track and in the scrub a bit. After a couple of minutes searching the phone eventually settled down and lead us to the cache, right where MRs RF had identified the first time.
We left nothing but our tag and footprints, we took nothing but memories.
Cache and contents aren’t in good nick.
Thanks for the cache rhodesisland/gefscofix.

Clever, clever, clever. Nearly fell over it but better half decided it was there for caching purposes rather than other purposes. Well done.
I love geocaching as it takes you to lots on interesting places, provides a series of challenges required in finding a geocache and the use of modern technology in doing so. I also love mountain bike riding as it also involves a challenging and very enjoyable outdoor experience which these days can involve use of the same GPS technology. Both activities/sports/hobbies allow you to set your own pace and if you like measure your own performance or your performance with others. Both also enable you to enjoy the experience alone or with others.
Today I set out with a challenge which I had been saving to do for some time and achieved this with a combination of caches, from a milestone prospective I wish each of them could have been the individual milestone but collectively they are each of the number of milestones. I very happy that I was able to complete another series of caches and challenges with my CB IF.
The milestones for the day included:
• A great day out in perfect autumn weather in Samford and Brisbane Forest Park
• A ride to the top of Camp Mountain and beyond
• Completion of 2500 GC finds
Finds for the day included in order
• “The Cursed Pistol (2500)
• Camp Amethyst (a worthy cache which started the journey up Camp Mountain)
• Janus ( The reason to head to the top and take in the views at a nearby lookout)
• A Chamorro in Oz II (the climb just another couple of Km was worth the effort – at least coming back was easy)
• Trojan Rabbit (this was always the true target for the day made even better with the loop route that we undertook)
To each of the cache owners (Brother Colin, Amethyst Cat, Wingapp & gefscofix) thank you for your hides the collective experience of the entire day is what I will remember as being cache find 2500.
All told about 57 km round trip with 1167 m elevation gain required. That is what makes a great day caching and MTBing for me. http://connect.garmin.com/activity/161214960

Sunday morning is probably not the best time to ride a pushbike up the hill to this cache !!
It wasn't that long ago I used to ride up and down this road enjoying the peace and quiet.
But it has turned into a regular madhouse with a mixture of impatient twits and Sunday drivers all risking life and family for a scenic drive or high speed race up and down the mountain [:o]
So it was with a sense of relief that ruzzelz and I found a muddy side track that led to a water tank and GZ away from the madness
Oh look !! Someone has left their bulldozer parked here
We squished through the mud past the dinky toy and stood at GZ.
A couple of logs at GZ had become Caterpillar fodder and we inspected them for any signs of cache remains.
The cache had missed being run over by about a foot as it turned out and both the cache and it's camo remain undisturbed by the yellow beastie parked nearby [^]

I'd come to get a new cache in this area and decided to collect a few more smileys while I was here. This road is very windy with very few spots to park, and I shot past the best spot so had to drive on a bit further and double back. Also, the trail has been "graded" (read: destroyed >.<) by a bulldozer, so as I walked in I was sinking in the mud almost up to my ankles I found the the bulldozer actually parked about 20 metres from GZ!
I thought at first that the cache may have been destroyed too, but after searching for a few minutes, found it safe and well, although right next to the piled-up mud on the side of the trail.

This being our first caching trip to Mt Nebo Rd, we were amazed at the number of tracks winding through this forest. After parking, the GPSr took us to a very likely spot. But there were two possible locations. We were definitely hoping it was not in the one which was completely covered in spiders' webs. Luckily we were right .
