Slow progress on replacement footbridge, the first 750 tonne span now in place.
Progress, at least we know the new bridge spans are going up, though not when they will open it again.
New works ending late January seem to be taking longer than advertised. The replacement footbridge is progressing slowly but I am reluctant to reactivate this cache until we see the new footbridge opened. Most major work is done at night and things just disappear. I will continue to monitor the site, but would like to keep this cache location ready for reactivation.
There are still massive and disruptive roadworks along the Waringah Expressway, with continuing deforestation of open green spaces. and I am unable to find out when the new footbridge will be finished, but the supporting pylons have been poured. I will continue to monitor the area and reinstate the cache as soon as it is safe to do so. Use caution when relying on Google Maps in this area as the road lanes change daily.
Due to roadworks on the Warringah Expressway, and uncertainty as to when the new cycleway will be installed (about 10m north of the exisiting one), I have temporarily removed this cache. I will review progress when the roadworks are scheduled to be complete at the end of January.

A quick trip to Sydney to meet up with RoamingHowie who was en route to QOGM.
Day Three: More challenges, 8 more LGAs and various other caches of interest along the way as we slowly make our way back towards Syd airport.
With my fear of heights as it is, I could feel my heartbeat getting faster and faster, the closer we got. I stayed to the middle of the bridge while RH searched everywhere as per hint.
I braved it up and moved to the edge so I could help search, and thankfully spotted something that none of the others had. I called to RH that I think I found it, and he came over from his methodical search to retrieve, sign and replace.
A really cool cache and quite worthy of a fav point.
Thanks for bringing us here by placing this cache, fimbulisen

Day 8. A last minute plan had been hatched to make my way to QOGM. Very little planning had been done but a very rough outline was in place and it was going to be a day by day trip.
OZHockeyChick had flown in for 3 days of caching around Sydney and Newcastle and today was the last before she flew home and I travelled further north. Making our way back to Sydney ticking off LGAs and target caches was the days plan.
I can see why this has so many favourites. An excellent hide. Luckily there was a little extra info as my gps had me over traffic tonight. Thanks for the great cache.
Thanks fimbulisen for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to enjoy.

First time geocaching solo and first time doing it in Sydney! Clever camo / hiding spot and beautiful to walk the bridge at sunset!
Favourite cache so far
Spent quite a long time and got many looks from muggles
Hardest one yet it was the most enjoyable one

We looked at the hide twice before realising what it was. Great spot, great name, and a very well constructed hide. Thanks Fimbulisen. Gets a FP from us.
Wow! No way! The fave points had me intrigued and given I am staying a few blocks away had to stroll down and check it out. Looked at all the subtle places because that’s all it could be… right?? Fantastic! Fave point from me also, thanks for making my Sydney trip memorable
Wow. Absolutely beautifully constructed. Muggles are a real problem. Even once you have the cache out, getting it back in without being seen is a challenge. definitely worth a favourite point!
Found It!
Meet up with gridge98 here who had found the cache for me. Impressive container!

This evening I headed to north Sydney for an event, this was nearby so made my way over here and met Laighside legend here. A nicely constructed and hidden cache, dropped TB.

Luckily not too busy on this hot afternoon so didn’t take long to spot something different. Very clever so a fp. And I love the very apt title. Tftc
Amazing geocache! Very well hidden and takes a bit of finding and searching but Goodluck everyone!
733 for the tribe
A chance to sneak away for a bit of caching between engagements on a Saturday evening saw the tribe with a chance to find a cache or two.
The spare rib was muggle heavy today but a gap in the muggle traffic, a read of the logs and another look cooincided for the tribes hardest 1.0 / 1.0 ever. Sensational hide which is in great condition. SL and replaced as found.
Yes definitely deserves a FP. Have another! Thanks for placing and maintaining this one which was just what the doctor ordered today.

A quick find on a rainy day. What an awesome urban geocache great container
Woo found it! Took a minute but super glad we decided to stop by this cache on our way home from a day of caching. Absolutely awesome, TFTC.
Took me a while as trying not to be too obvious with so many people passing. Love this one! Hope no one thought I was planting a bomb when I replaced the cache!
In between passing muggles we found something out of place and made a quick find. Great camo. Thanks for the cache
Meme28 and I C Nothing are heading off on another geocaching adventure leaving the West and heading into Sydney to explore unfound territory.
Our aim is to find some older caches we wouldn’t be able to find in WA and then anything else that takes our fancy. Today we found your cache and happy to report it was in good condition.

On a geo tour of Sydney with ICNothing. Definitely worthy of a FP. Cheers for the cache!

I was curious what cache could be hidden on a bridge over 100 lanes of motorway and still get over 100 favourite points.
Walking from North Sydney across the bridge and near GZ started our search. It did not take a long time, but what a great camo! It really blends in well.
Here is FP number 111!

This was a really well placed cache of you look in the right area you will find it
This one was an absolute cracker. Wasn’t expecting it to be so big. I stopped here on the way home in horribly rotten Friday afternoon traffic. Thanks Sydney?
It was good to break up the monotony of the trip. Thanks for placing such a good cache. A FP from me TFTC

Totally missed the first attempt i made to find but now with more finds under my belt this was an easy spot and very well camouflaged.
There was a young family there for about 10 minutes which looked like they were also having a bit of a cheeky cache day. Waited for them to move off before I pounced! What an awesome cache with obviously a lot of work put in - a FP well earned! Tftc!
Found it it was a great find so exited when I found it with my best friend Heidi great cache
Finally found this one. Have jogged past here a few times and had a few looks, but usually after sun had set. Came back in daytime with the family and managed to make the find, with a little help from a spoiler photo. What an awesome construction, very impressed and obviously giving a favourite point! TFTC!
Thanks so much. Loved the cache and a super find in lockdown. Thanks for pitting a small pencil so we could sign.
First cache- spent ages looking but was stoked when we finally found it! Very clever!!!
Very clever cache. Got GZ and started looking going by hint I pinpointed a spot but wrong side. Went to the other side and spotted something that could be a cache. Looked around, no other area had that. Grabbed it and it was the cache.
