Making our way towards home over the next few weeks travelling with 2 dogs and a cat we have found caching a great way to give the fur babies a break. Thanks to the COs for placing and maintaining.
We searched everywhere, wazza9 made the find. Stamped log and replaced thanks to CO .
#5324 Another cool piece of local history. Loved exploring and reading about this site. The cache took a little searching but Mr BGF managed to locate it in the smallest buidling in the district. TFTC MalanDi.
Found 2/8/23
Loved looking for this one and checking out the Old Eating House. We signed the book, which is now full.
Took the long walk and easily located the cache.
Cheers, Bulba's

This was quite a lovely rest from the road.
This cache was found by a bright idea from my wife whilst I was shouting "if you think I'm going in there you've got another thing coming!"
A beautiful place, especially at sunset! Thanks for the cache.

Day 17 of our greynomad trip up north, but now heading to Oyster Bay after our visit to Maralinga with 19 other cachers - yes, I know it's the wrong direction to Darwin, but we are also ticking off LGA's.
Even though I suffer short leg syndrome, I have to duck to get in the back door. A little wander to GZ, and again the short legs caused issues, but hubby could manage.
TFTC SL TB's visited.

My 8th day of my trip heading to and around the Eyre Peninsular. Stayed at Wave Rock last night then headed back to the coast and arriving in Coulta for the night. This cache would be find number 28 of 35 for the day and find Number 187 in total for this trip away.
A Great piece of history thanks for bringing me here to see it.

We stopped by here for the cache and enjoyed reading the signs about this old building. There were signs about baiting, so we carried Moxie as a precaution. The cache was an easy find, found with rumpuslabs, Tftc

A very well restored historical site that maintains the basic necessity of life. Loved the location. TFTC
Our last day in Venus Bay so went further afield with iluvtrekking to grab some finds perhaps not suitable with caravans in tow. Interesting history and lucky we brought our own lunch with us. Thanks MalanDi
Another cache found with richlink during our 2022 South Australia Adventure using Geocaching as our guide.
A great piece of history, restored to remind us of the hardships of the past. Thanks MalanDi

Good to see our history being preserved. Well done to all involved.
As kids I remember visiting a great aunt and uncle who lived at Lochiel and their toilet was a long drop! It was a lot closer to the house than this one
It was a bit of a novelty for us kids to use it back then.

I was a little weirded out about searching an outhouse, but I did it. My GPS pinpointed where it was. I was in denial about exact location but managed to get CIH. TFTC! The rustic environment made for interesting photos which I'll keep as memories.
Visited niece on farm at Cummins. Heading to Elliston for a couple of nights. Thank you Malandi. Great historic site. Tftc
Time for a road trip to knock off a few grids, namely 'date hidden' today with 3 spread across the Eyre Peninsula. It was also a great opportunity to spend some time with the lad and get a few more hours up on his Leaners.
The Eyre Peninsula, like the rest of the state is slowed by the endless roadworks. Verge work and 80kmph for kms. Urgh. This part of the state has certainly seen some rain in recent weeks with some of the dirt roads water logged and sloppy.
These are the sorts of things that I love about Geocaching - these sort of little gems of history that 99% of people would have no idea exists. Walk in was a little treacherous with the recent rains but it was well worth it. Cache in great condition.

Camped at Sheringa Round Lake & wanted to find this with Sparrow. Great weather & great old buildings. SL & TFTC.
After a week of camping at Sheringa lagoon, decided to stop and get this cache with BraydsSA. Nice piece of history and a great view from the outhouse. TFTC SL
On our way to Streaky Bay from Pt Lincoln on the second leg of our trip to WA.
Stopped off at this interesting old building and went for the short walk to GZ. This outhouse is certainly a long way from the house, not good if you were in a hurry!!
Cache was found after checking out the possible hides.
Thanks for the cache MalanDi.

During our new years break, [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) and I headed to the Eyre Peninsula to travel around the various coastal towns. We started the trip with Jeep trouble, but then continued in our alternative vehicle without 4WD to stick to the main tourist roads where possible. We travelled south-west to Tumby Bay and Port Lincoln via Whyalla, Cowell, Cleve, Arno Bay; west across to Coffin Bay; and then north-west to Streaky Bay and Ceduna via Elliston, and Venus Bay. We then headed back east staying in Kimba via Poochera, Wudinna, Lock, and Darke Peak.
Today, [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) and I travelled from Tumby Bay to Coodlie Park. Our first main stop was at Coffin Bay, where we enjoyed a fantastic oyster farm tour experience. We then headed north, making stops at Greenly Beach, Elliston, and then visited Talia Caves as the sun started to get low. Not a bad weather day, although there was still some wind about.
A nice location - we had a look inside the old house, before venturing to its rear to the old dunny. The cache didn't take long to find at that spot, and the cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks MalanDi for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.
Note that this geocache was logged with the *Team Warren* Davidwazza/jesswrigley stamp.

A 2 week tour of the West Coast started in Streaky Bay, then to Coffin Bay, then to Tumby Bay and finally a couple of days in Whyalla.
All caches were in good condition unless I've posted a Needs Maintenance log.
A long walk I wouldn't enjoy.

Ha. I complain to myself at getting up in the middle of the night to go to the other side of the house for the loo. I would hate to walk this far. TFTC
Well thats not a walk we would like to do!
Interesting spot, thanks for bringing us here.

That would've been a long walk just to take a shit. I guess you just had to make sure you went before darkness fell back in the day. A nice little walk this morning though, and a quick find! Interesting bit of history to.

From Port Lincoln we drove on to Elliston today. Wow! There it has quite great beaches and many beautiful coastal sections. In many of these places we were also able to find a geocache. Thank you to the owners for the caches !
