Ummm....we found this cache, although now when logging it, says it's going to be removed...??
Time to let this one go, thanks to all that found it. The container will be picked up in due course.

Found at 11:50 AM GAFF1.
We haven't been here for many years - the last time was in winter as well so we didn't experience the reservoir in all of its glory.
Today was magnificent - clear skies and brilliant blue water below dark green mountains.
Thanks TEAM DENMAR.

Driving the geo-tot around to send here to sleep, the junior navigator agreed to let me geocache. Score! Followed the GPS in the dark to find our first cache. As previous logs warn - BEWARE OF ANTS!
Go us!
Go us!
Found it, nice little tucked away spot. Beware of ants nest if you have kids searching
Spent the day in Tumut, to do some caching.
We found a variety of hides, and good size containers.
Quick find, with a lovely view.
Many thanks for placing this cache, TEAM DENMAR, for us and others to find.

After a drive over on the other dam, a walk over on this one, and on checking the geoapp (first time in four days having reception, after staying at Yarrangobilly Caves), happily discovered a number of caches to find in the vicinity. This was the first. TFTC TEAM DENMAR
It was exactly where my phone said it was but it still took all four of us ten minutes to find it . TFTC
This is a beautiful location. I couldn’t help but imagine how this valley would have looked prior to the dam construction. Took a travelbug TFTC
There was a small group of "us" heading off to meet more of "us" in Tumut for the weekend. Our merry band of misfits was made up of MTrax, Tankengine, Joolay, Aquilus1 and myself. In the car we all thought of a name that we could call our gang, but in the end we decided it was a Canberra Invasion Trip that we were on so just went with CBR5. We signed logs either indiviually or with the group name.
It was an awesome weekend all up, with lots of fun with friends. We cached all day then met up with the rest of the Invasion Team for dinner Saturday night, then cached some more on Sunday until it was time to head home.
**The Cache** Easy parking and the only muggles around were way down along the dam somewhere. A straight forward find and two TBs inside. Unfortunately we were unable to take them with us for various reasons, but hopefully someone will pick them up soon. They are in a lovely spot though. So pretty around here. Tftc TEAM DENMAR!!!

Found with CBR5-DTY73, Tankengine, MTrax and Aquilus1 on a caching trip to Tumut. Having a great day, lots of fun. Unless otherwise stated cache found in good condition.
A canberra caching invasion of Tumut this weekend, saw dty73, Tankengine, Mtrax, Joolay and myself stopping for this cache. Logs signed our caching team name, CBR5.
Great to visit the dam, spectacular really and although the water levels are low it's still great!

What a fabulous morning this turned out to be. It had rained most of the night and there were still showers around, so I wasn't overly enthusiastic about going out as I hate getting caches and logs wet. But Pa was still prepared to be my chauffeur, so off we went. Up to Tumut Tower, what a great little drive that was and back down to start on the trip I had planned using Cachetur.no, that involved the caches on the way to and around the northern end of Blowering Dam.
All that I intended to go for today were found and logs signed. My apologies to COs for not adding individual notes, as Pa is a friendly but often impatient muggle, so time was precious. However many logs are either damp or full, making them difficult to sign in any kind of order. Maybe we should have warned COs that this area is being "Invaded" by a mob from Canberra and Goulburn this weekend.
The weather was particularly kind, as when we parked up at the gates to walk out to Old Gum the rain stopped completely and it hasn't started again at 15:18 when I am composing this . Looks good for the weekend.
A huge thanks to all the COs for these caches. I had a ball!

We may have seen the water but from all the burning off it’s rather Smokey today.
A rather awesome sight.

Had no phone service here to read about the cache but just enough to get me to GZ. Then had to start hunting. It was soon in hand. Well hidden!
Awesome view of the lake & dam wall from here. Water level looks to be well down!

Mrs Aries and I are hoping to grab some caches on our trip to Tumut. And to spend sometime geocaching in and around the area. Great views from here.

On a weeks holiday to Tumut, over the Snowy Mountains and onto Canberra. Stopped in to look at the dam, walked across the wall, very impressive, got to love big infrastructure! on a picture postcard day. Thanks team for showing us this great location. Cheers BWBandit
#3352 On arriving to gz we had a hunch where the cache would be hidden so we strategically parked the geocar in front of gz. Worked a treat as the nearby muggles where blocked from view and we completed the quick find, sign and replacement stress free. A very impressive dam wall set in a beautiful setting. Came in to check out the spillway and wasn't disappointed. Didn't have time to do the other cache out there.

to tell the truth, we were actually trying to get to "tumut towers" on top of Wereboldera. we found a lot of locked gates and tracks that google thought were there but they really weren't. so after one wrong turn i looked at the gps and "oh look, there's one here". thanks. the cache is in good order, and we managed to finally get to the top of Wereboldera as well. pity all we could see was cloud. magic part of the world up here. thanks!
A nice quick find on a chilly evening!
Thank you for placing this cache here in such a beautiful location for our enjoyment.

A day of caching around Tumut. Up at 6 am and headed out to Blowering Dam. TFTC.
TFTC,
Been a great morning.
We decided to have a couple of nights in Tumut.
We cached our way out to the Dam this morning and are logging our finds before attempting any more.
Visited trackables.

Tagging along with the "Rats" on holidays has it's advantages, not only do we get to see our cool country but we also get to do a heap of caching as Dad just can't help himself and has to stop at every cache he can.
Heading across Australia on nearly every dirt road possible we stopped and found your cache as part of our adventure and for that, I thank you! Sorry about the log being a "cut n paste" but tthats just because we stopped at so many caches.

The Rats and mini rats found this cache as part of our Purposeful Meander across Oz where we visited every mainland state and territory in 8 weeks.
Apologises for the late log in some cases but we are only just catching up on our logging now that we have arrived back home. Your cache makes up many of the great memories we now have from the adventure. The faceplate style log doesn't detract from the experience we had finding the cache.
Thanks

A last minute plan swung into action so StrangeTrousers, mtrax and myself were off to Tumut for a Sunday geomission. We managed to nab a decent number of caches before heading back a little earlier than planned as mtrax was felling quite unwell. It was still an all round enjoyable day and we plan to make a return attack!
We searched for aaaages at this spot and even expanded our search. Seems we didn't search "in" enough! Well hidden cache at this classic hiding spot! Good work StrangeTrousers!
Thanks for the hide, TEAM DENMAR!

A Sunday road trip to Tumut from Canberra, along with Strange trousers and SpecimenX, a brilliant day for caching I had a rough trip over via Wee Jasper, but what caches I did visit I enjoyed, managed a few during the day but plenty more for a return trip.
thanks TEAM DENMAR
