So glad that it wasn't a nano or a micro, but that didn't help a great deal! I looked in there to begin with, but didn't realise it was so well hidden - you really needed a "leap of faith" to get that one out.
Quite a threatening sign out the front to say that the place is closed - the owners seem a tad angry bout something.
Thanks groovydoo.

New England Roadtrip day 2: Armidale to Brisbane via Ebor, Nymboida, Grafton, Ballina and Tweed Heads. On the road early for the long trip home across the foggy range and up the coast.
Thanks **groovydoo** for bringing us here, this find makes #3797. Discover our trackable TGQNRV.

On the way back from an appointment at Armidale and a few weeks back we did the Armidale Road Caching run between Grafton and Dorrigo, but missed a few caches along the way, so we decided to do them today. Groovydoo gave us the replacement Cache and we had the honours of replacing this Cache in it's original location. What a lovely spot and it is a shame it is currently closed, as it would be awesome to have a look inside. Some great things can still be seen though, when you visit this great historic location. What a glorious day for some Geocaching and we thought we would make our way from Grafton to Dorrigo. We searched high and low, but unfortunately for us it was a no show. Thanks anyway.
Could not locate, pub is closed down and was worried about being spotted by owner's
Looks like an interesting place to visit. Nice easy find but thanks for giving us a reason to stop here. TFTC
Tftc. Even though a little muggle kid was suspicious of us. Coaching station closed today.
Was looking for a container, but found the log in just a zip lock bag instead... Log intact, and still magnetized... I love this place, I saw my first wild platypus from the back beer garden from here... Good memories today..
Each year I like to get out of Brisbane for a week or so around my birthday in September. This year I decided to plan a road trip which would take myself, Captain Terror and catscatcat22 on a 2700km loop of southern Queensland and northern New South Wales. We were gone from the 18-24 September and visited Dalby, Miles, Tara, Surat, St. George, Lightning Ridge, Walgett, Coonabarabran, Tamworth, Uralla, Armidale, Maclean, Yamba then came home following the coast road.
This was the 95th cache for me for the trip. As we approached GZ I suggested that Captain Terror could fit inside the firebox. Which he did. Then he hit his head on his way out and fell to the ground. After we checked he was ok we spent quite some time laughing at the poor guy. We found the cache.. well.. both of them. The original that had fallen, and the replacement. We decided to try and get the original back and after quite some time we got it! With the logbook signed and everything magnetized we headed back to the car. Thanks for the cache groovydoo.

For Net88’s birthday this year, she, Captain Terror, and I went on a road trip of awesomeness, taking us out west from Brisbane.
A total of six days, our whirlwind adventure took us West through Dalby, Miles, Tara and Surat, and then South through Lightning Ridge (the farthest West I’d been!). Then we’d continue South through Walgett, Pilliga, Baradine, and Coonabarabran to Tamworth. Then it was through Uralla to Armidale, and Maclean to Yamba, and finally back to Brisbane.
We saw kangaroos, emus, baby emus, kookaburras, giant guitars, so many sunsets, and so many snacks, thanks to the help of Snackman.
A nice holiday from work, it was also a great excuse to pick up geocaches along the way.

So this turned out to be not only a memorable find, but one where I managed to injure myself and turn into a Difficulty 5 hide.
From 18 to 24 September, Net88, catscatscats22 and I embarked on a road trip to see some different parts of Australia. We drove from home in Brisbane to Dalby, Miles, Tara, Surat, St. George, Lightning Ridge, Walgett, Coonabarabran, Tamworth, Armidale, Yamba and home again, a drive of over 2700 kilometres, a few nights camping and 122 geocache visits to guide us along the way.
We were shooting up the Armidale Road, grabbing the precious few hides among the hills, windy roads and big timber. I parked us right near this one and the shop was closed, which meant no muggles of course. I'm a bit of a fan of steam engines, so had a good look about the beast. Net even suggested I try to fit into the firebox - so after checking there were no spiders, I did. The door was opened outwards for me to look out of and have my photo taken. Getting out I stood up too early and the top of my head met the now open door with some force. Once I'd ceased looking like a bag of potatoes and checking there was no blood, I got up again. Now, onto the geocache find.
Right where the hint suggested we found a.. something. It was a baggie with a tiny magnet and a throwdown logbook. A quick look at hints suggested this one had fallen into somewhat disrepair and has been like this for a while. I took a second look and could spot the original geocache down, inside the engine. Between the walls and among many spacers in a right tricky spot. Evidently it fell down and being a 6'6" lanky dude, even I couldn't reach it. However, unhappy with signing the makeshift throwdown, we were getting the original out!
In the boot of the Subaru Net grabbed her hiking pole and we located a roll of duct tape. Macgyver would be proud already! With a few layers of the sticky stuff on the end of the pole, I went to work, bending, poking, prodding, threading. Dust and rust meant we had to replace the tape a few times, but eventually, after much work, fiddling and squeezing my spaghetti arms down there, we had the original.
The container was gone, just a baggie full of goods, far too heavy for the magnet. We signed the original logbook, took out the heavy swaps, put the magnet back and replaced it, according to the hint, but high and dry and safe. That sure feels a lot more like a legitimate find - even if it did take me 15 minutes and a bunch of extra work! Now others too can continue to make the find too. Thanks for this geocache and the story, groovydoo

Exactly where the clue said it is, but I found it without hints. Had to pretend I was looking it over, then fussing with my car for a while until junior onlooker cleared off. No log no swaps inside, just a couple of small loose papers for logging. I added a new logsheet and signed that. Easy find on the way home from Grafton. TFTC.
What a shame this place is closed...a few people turned up and were disappointed at the closure...what a mystery...sign out front gave no clue as to reason...just an apology and a statement they would reopen after some issue rectified...forced closure!.....great place to visit...hope they sort things out soon....TFTC Groovydoo
Tried for the second time but still no luck. Managed to find a small plastic bag and some paper with very smudged writing but no sign of the cache. Will try again next time we are out this way.

We normally don't like this kind of location for a cache but this one was very straightforward. Tftc.
Found quickly. Nothing in cache so we left 2 pieces of paper for catchers to write on. TFTC
Wow - We just moved here, and I found the treasure!! I'm now on the hunt to find more!!
Up here for a wedding no signal the first day but figured where it could be but couldn't find it. Next morning connected to a wireless signal and read the details again and bingo. Beautiful place great for a relaxing weekend

My humble apologies for the late / amended log... After travelling around Australia for the past few months, I have managed to find all my caching associated paperwork / notes & photo's so I can (finally) log all my finds...
My sincerest thanks to all the cache owners for their hides & all the effort gone into them & I'm sorry for the generic log... I have seen many beautifull area's that I would not of seen or experience if not for your hides...
Love this place... Thanks for bringing me here...

Got that ole travel urge again and the need for some not so new uncharted places. So Queensland here I come. Travelling up the New England highway for the second time in a month towards Stanthorpe, With a aim to finish the A.S. Series, and also finish the other series in the area. As well as visiting fellow Geocachers Team Robins plus attend their Christmas in Stanthorpe event. and also find other caches on the way. Found on the way home. Great Cache. TFTC

I've stopped here in the past but couldn't find the cache. It might have gone missing at that time as I found it easily today, even after being told the wrong place to look by another cacher! TFTC
Heading through to Armidale we stopped here to stretch our legs. Found the cacge after a short search. Unfortunately the magnets have come away from the container. We had to place the container on the front of the motor block.... very close to where use to reside.
Thanks

Pretty cool place for what seems like the middle of nowhere. Found the cache in the first place I put my hand. These types of caches are pretty cool! Will have to come back to this spot. The views of the river around back of the nearby watering hole are pretty cool too!
# 2516. Robmc and I were heading south to Uralla after leaving Ashby this morning. This was our first stop for the day. I knew where the cache was located but when we pulled up and saw the actual GZ we groaned - not a good start to the day. To my surprise while Rob was looking elsewhere I put my hand on the cache. Painless after all. A quick sign and return and on towards Ebor we go. TFTC
The drive from Maclean to Uralla with Bettyboo3747 yielded a few caches, and a lot of fun curves.
Our first stop on the road. Just came out of a very heavy rain storm, but it was clear here.
Interesting object to search, but Bettyboo came up with the goods very quickly.
Thanks, Robmc.

Good container well hidden at an interesting location .. it's what caching is all about. Thank you again groovydoo.
Luckily had inputted the coords on the etrex as we had lost reception again and we couldn't access the hint. Never the less, perseverance paid through and we found it after a little hunting. Shame we didnt have the time to look at the museum, it would have been quite interesting

An absolutely fabulous spot for a cache. This place was crying out for a cache!! Thanks Groovydoo for placing one here.
We first came here a few years ago and stopped in for a drink and a look around. After that we brought friends here on our way out to the caches at Dalmorton. We think this place is a must to visit. There is the historic nature of the place and then there's the museum which truly is a "Museum of Interesting Things".
Thanks Groovydoo for another reason to come back again.
We found the cache relatively easily and added our names to the log. We'll give it a favourite for the enjoyment we experienced with this cache: the food with the view of canoeists on the river below, the sporting memorabilia in the pub, the history of former owners, the museum and all we learnt in there and all that was interesting, including the stage coach that can hold - what is it? - 60 people?? On top of that - we love the name. For those that don't know the significance of the caches name - come here and find out.

Had a crack at this one previously and went over GZ fairly thoroughly. Found today with not too much trouble.
With a week in Coffs, we spent 1 day driving around.
This museum is the reason for my choice of route. Was not disappointed in either the museummm or the drive.
Thanks - Geoff Mel Leah Tara

What a wonderful place and a very clever hide. It's a good thing I had the clue or we never would have found it. TFTC and the beautiful view of the river.
Cache was gone and have replaced cache today with magnetic eclipse container.

crows must have flown away with it..we spent over an hour looking for the cache ,with no luck.try again another day.on we go to dalmorton.
Dropped in to find this one today. Found quickly and then dropped into the Museum of Interesting Things. This is a popular little place. Thanks for bringing us here on our travels.
We pulled up at the Coaching Station ready to search for this cache, but it was muggle central today. As we headed for GZ, we could see some kids playing right where we needed to search. We waited a few minutes for them to move on and the hunt began. After 10 minutes of searching we were still empty handed and more families were headed towards us, so we decided to call it quits and continue our journey south. We enjoyed the hunt and the break though! Thanks Groovydoo!
After meeting the owner of this cache groovydoo it was good to find a FTF of his and after it not being found for a month someone had to do it. Great cache on an original idea.
Thanks groovydoo for the cache and the FTF
