Found - Mrs McMike2012 & I live full-time in our caravan travelling around NZ, visiting the places we want to visit & doing the things we want to do and fitting in a bit of Geocaching here & there we are/were staying near Ranfurly in Central Otago for a couple of days we decided yesterday, that today would be a drive to get the Virtual at the Danseys Pass Hotel & then some caching in & around Naseby but we wanted to clean up a couple near Waipiata, Swinburn & Kyeburn this one was a easy find, the logbook signed, and then safely/securely replaced as it was found were pleased to add another 'smiley face' to the tally TFTC ... TN:LN:LS this was #6,259 for us!
Bit cool now in the evening for swimming. I cant get over how many bridges there are about the plains.
Forgot my pen but happy to have one so close to home! Will have to come back another day
Very windy day for driving a camper van around but some caches are marked out so here we are what a beautiful spot
A southern adventure for a wee family Easter school holiday trip. After a few days in Dunedin we were now in Naseby for a couple days. Spent a lot of time in Naseby and Ranfurly growing up. A break in the rain with a wee shred of sunshine so we headed out for a drive and wander in the patchy sunlight whilst it lasted....Decided to have a looksee at Waipiata...Nice views of therainclouds rushing around....wind picking up again.
Parked up and walked towards bridge, soon realized numbers were increasing and easy find made.
Quick easy find after dip in the river on a hot day2 of rail trail. 31 degrees today.
In the Waipiata Domain catching up with x Ranfurly friends for the weekend- TFTC
Definitely a structure built to last. Started heading off in the wrong direction to look for this one, but soon realised where I should be. Found with Flamingo4850. TFTC.
Found this one while biking a loop from Kokonga via Waipiata and Daisbank with Mrs JKC and the daywalks. I wandered off to grab the cache while the others admired the stone structure -- certainly built to last.
I had intended to visit this and the other Waipiata caches late yesterday but in the rush to ensure we got a dinner table at the pub I decided caching would have to give way. Out in Waipiata again this afternoon I decided that I couldn't leave this cache unfound. Nice quick find. Thanks for replacing it erninz.

This hasn't been found in nearly 11 months. Cache in good order.
Tried to get this one yesterday but as we approached GZ, three car loads muggles arrived at the same time so I kept on driving.
Heading home to Dunedin after the weekend in Ranfurly. TFTC

Out and about on an other caching trip to get to 3000 finds before the end of the year. This was an easy park and grab and on to the next one. TFTC
On my way back to Dunedin I have a small stop at this cache which is conveniently placed just next to road. I need little time to locate the cache container.
erninz thanks for creating and maintaining this cache. Greetings from the Netherlands.

Attending a church camp at en hakkore and out to find a cache or two. Also intend to hide a cache up the sowburn track - a long held ambition. TFTC 1802
GPS was spot on - what a stunning place to find a cache. I imagine in winter it looks pretty spectacular. A quick park and find, cheers.
Visiting in the area and getting caches (as one does). I made hard work of this but finally just decided to believe the gps and it was easy. TFTC
Was lower than the gps showed but eventually found after I decided to give up and climb down.
rustynz tells me I need to catch up with all my logging
This was when we were in the South Island, doing the Otago cycle rail trail.
Sorry for the generic logs. But thank you to all the CO for the hides and the maintenance on all your caches.

More adventures on the Otago Rail Trail, cycling from Wedderburn to Hyde with rebel98 and muggles. Because we won't have our bikes later, we decided to make this detour to find this "Green" Bridge. Beautiful out this way, and we were told a large trout lives in the river nearby
The GPS bounced around a bit, but it was rebel who at last found the cache. Beware the sleeping possum, (OK not sleeping), hopefully he would have been moved by the time the next cacher comes thru (otherwise he will be a bit smelly by then).

Heading to Clyde via the Pigroot so took a detour to Waipiata for a couple of caches. Was blowing a gale which made the wee climb a tad difficult, even more so trying to sign the log! TFTC
Stopped here on a day's caching in the area north of Alexandra. The cache was out in the open when I arrived so I spotted it as I climbed towards it. I have replaced it with some covering material. Signed log, TFTC
I'm down in Otago to cycle the Otago Rail Trail over a relaxed 5 day period and took the opportunity to find a few geocaches along the way. Day 4 was from Ranfurly to Hyde. I found this one while out and about in the area with my accommodation host, it was a quick find at GZ. TFTC!
Brrrrr.... very frosty today as we cut through this way today and decide to pick up a cache. Nice hide and TFTC
Found after have a good wander over the rock hill, and capturing the golden sunrise in the cold!
I love these old bridges which have been built to last. The landscape up here on the Maniototo is a bit different from that lower down the valley.
Cheers for the cache.
Cheers for the cache.
Decided to do wee bit of local caching on our way home from the community bbq
Such an amazing bridge when I consider the standard of the average bridge in this area
Excellent choice

Found for us by a friendly muggle who we were explaining the delights of the game to! TFTC
Nice easy find on our way to our accommodation after our third day of the Otago Rail Trail. TFTC
Easy find although I missed it at first and the husband found it. Peaceful spot. TFTC
#20 for the day and a TB coin. Great weather, nice lunch and only 1 arguement. What better way to spend a summer day. TFTC
Two days on the trail and found this one on the way to the farm stay at Pete's.
Quick find.

Battery went flat on ph being used as GPS. I think I was close tho. Oh well next time
Plenty of rocks to look under but one stood out a bit more than any of the others. Found with Aoraki Sheep.
This was well worth the diversion from the rail trail to see this great old bridge, so well maintained. Thanks ernienz.
Would have saved myself a lot of climbing if I'd paid more attention to my GPSr before rushing into it

Funny how your memory can play tricks on you. I remembered looking for this cache previously but DNFing then discovering that it had been muggled which accounted for why I couldn't find it. But I would have sworn it was several years ago. However, I see it was only in April last year! TFTC.
I expected the "wee climb" to be more than it actually was and I certainly made a mountain out of a molehill here! Should have just followed the GPS instead of my instincts. Nice spot! TFTC.
On my 3rd attempted and with the help of junior Dakotacat I at last bagged this one. Must have been the hills that fooled my GPS !... and me
Our first of 50 in the area over two days, no trouble finding this one at all. The truck driver who drove past gave us a knowing grin and a wave! TFTC
Found at 2:05 PM on 21/04/2012.
Time to stop this time although some muggles were about.
