Enjoying exploring this area again, lovely day now! All good with the cache - log dry! TFTC
Wasn't too keen on just heading back down the road, so managed to get partway here on a nice bike track. Very strange pocky landscape here. TFTC.
Having temporarily moved down to omakau recently this was my first proper outing to tidy up some unfound caches around the area.i was going to just do the p and g's then I realized I only had 4 todo so started on the bike from the swimming dam but soon abandoned that as I am fit but not "bike fit" much easier on foot..cache was a quick find tftc
Term 2 break. Planning for next term is done and it's time for a winter getaway before the third term begins. So it's off to Naseby we go to rekindle childhood memories of racing around the tailings but this time hunting for caches.

Main aim today was to get this cache for a spelling challenge. Riding up along Wet Gully Rd I soon realised how unfit I’ve become! As I approached GZ I remembered that my pen was still in the car!! Quick find here an luckily for me there was a pen in the cache. Tftc
Decided that today's target would be to get as many caches as possible in the Naseby area. Some of the plan got side tracked by more interesting caches and some caches were unavailable due to all the holidaymakers in town.
While Andy rode up the hill, I pushed my bike, but he still hadn't found the ache by the time I caught up as he had been diverted by the sign on the side of the track. Cache found and we are off to the next one. tftc

The uphill biking nearly killed me. We found the old stump and pile of rocks, actually JD did. JDScout and I are on a pre Xmas campervan holiday. Geocaching is on my agenda. We both like biking and walking too. Thanks erninz for placing this geocache it is find 8059 for me.
Sadly there was no large event in New Zealand in 2019 but there are a few Mega events planned in Australia. New Zealand will have another large event in 2020 in Auckland.
======== NZ Mega 2020 ========
Planning for the NZ Mega 2020 event is well underway. It will be held in Auckland over Labour Weekend, 23 to 26 October 2020. Thanks for hiding this geocache.

TFTC- quickly found while out for a bike ride this morning while staying with my sister at Naseby . She was running and helping me find the correct trials to follow

Spending a day cyclocaching in Naseby. My trail map was very faint and didn't show any track to this GZ so I just headed downhill from End of the Road and then followed a faint trail that seamed to head in the right direction. After 24m of bush bashing and a scramble through some trees I came across a proper road and found the cache. Yahoo. Now to got back and see if I can find where I left my bike.[B)] Thanks for the placement erninz.
Came here on a morning walk in Naseby Forest in perfect weather. Managed to find a good track from my previously-found cache that took me almost straight to this one. A quick find, I soon spotted the suspicious signs of a hide. Signed log, TFTC!
Found it, one or two bees flying about in those bushes, there may be a hive near by
A quick find by Mr as we walked around the forrest. Took some photos of the geodogs here. Thanks for the Cache, interesting area!
Today was up here as first aider for the 12hr Naseby Mountain Bike race. Originally was going to be positioned further up the road but ended up right by Nipple Hill.... so decided as we had 15 minutes to wait for the first biker to come through we would go hunt this one out.... took only 2 minutes ... only another 11hrs and 58 minutes to go.
Nice spot.
Nice spot.
We enjoyed a nice day walking around the area and finding some caches - took a bit of a circuitous route to get to it, but found this OK once we were on the right track. TFTC
What a great spot, in away from the main road and very interesting to see where the mining once occurred. Thanks ernienz.
There has certainly been a lot of work done in here over the years - both in gold mining and in forestry. Loved the chance to walk in and explore it all, thanks erninz.
Thanks for bringing me to this location. A quick find on another superb Otago geoday.
Thanks for placing this cache!
Thanks for placing this cache!
Had to walk to the caches up here as both Translator Rd and Wet Gulley Rd were locked. But it was a mild day, not too hot, so the walk was very enjoyable. TFTC.
A straightforward find, almost a drive by, in a very complex orienteering area in which we have competed many times. TFTC
After driving up several roads we found these rather impressive man made cliffs. Eventually an 'easy find' but only after some searching.
Who would of guessed these yellow cliffs were tucked away in this area? Another interesting find thanks to geocaching. Found the cache but only after searching the closer objects first. TFTC
A stunningly beautiful Autum day, far to good to work in the garden, so we had a trip to find some of the newer caches and try to get a few photos.
We were unable to access this cache via Wet Gully Rd today, as this road was closed for logging at S45 01.044 E170 07.779. It may be accessible from other directions.
Found at 2:07 PM on 29/12/2011.
Nice quick find whilst out on the bike.

Yes, Translator Road does seem to split near this point - leading to confusion. A few hundred metres walk soon found the cache. Thanks and cheers from Grandalf(2038)
Biked up to get this one in the afternoon, after the rain had gone through.
The next day we explored a track which starts close by at S00.804 E07.991. It's a lovely bounce down to join up with the track across from Wet Gully Rd at S01.178 E07.958. Then turn left (east) and you'll come out at the bridge at the bottom of the Magnetic Tree track at S01.210 E08.107.

Arriving at GZ, I wondered if the cache was at the "nipple" on top of the hill. Fortunately not.
8/12 for today. Expected to getback to town viathis road but should have known better. Second time today thwarted by gates.
Nearly a drive to. There has been a lot of activity in this region from the early days. TFTC
On a hot dusty road with very few road signs and a very confused GPS. Found a lot of examples of the clue but cache was soon in hand. Another FTF to add to today's list. TFTC!
