Great idea for a cache!

23-Dec-11
I will finally have to admit defeat with this one, someone has had it in for the cache almost from day one. It has constantly been muggled, and today the post holding the sign had been snapped off at ground level...

23-Dec-11
Such a shame. This was a top hide. Well done RS!!

18-Dec-11
This was one of my favourite finds so far, definitely not your usual hiding place but its all there in the description. Found with Cav99. The log was soaking wet so took it for a drive in the car while finding other caches to dry. Replaced dry log inside a sealed zip lock bag. Thanks for a great hide.

18-Dec-11
Through my clumsiness in replacing the cache I have misplaced the 'lock'. The cache, 'key' and log are all back in their places however a new 'lock' is required.

22-Nov-11
Found the key and the where the cache was hidden and it looks like its been muggled, rs to investigate.cheers.

Such a good cache!
Took a little while to find the "key" (I dont think we were looking hard enough)and then it became clear where the cache was. Your right, not the usual hiding spot! Favourite from me TFTC Smile

Cache Hunt 821; GAFF3; Weather, Evening; Helpers, None; Cache condition, Great; Find of the day, 1st; STATUS, Found; GPSr at GZ - 5m

Dropped of GeoGirl and then on the way home, I veered off for 2 caches. Stopped up from GZ and walked over. Read and re read the description...went HUH...and then started searching. Found the 'key', just needed the 'lock' and there weren't too many places I could search around here. The hint sort of help and as I searched, I thought, OK, I'll check here. Ahh, this needs a key! I went to work and then checked camo and 'BAM, and the cache is mine' WOW very impressed RS, I like it. Not you average hide, most definitely! I SL and replaced. Then returned the key. Well done, this most certainly deserves a 4 difficulty and deserves a favorite, TFTC.

Awesome cache! Christine Vista found the key, Harro undid the lock and Chook kept an eye out for muggles - everyone contributed (some maybe more than one!). Signed the log and dashed off as quick as we could so as to avoid attracting attention. T heaps FTC Cool

17-Oct-11
well what can I say about this one, at the start could not find key or cache, so had a good look around GZ, then went looking for key, and as soon as I had the key I knew where the cache was. good hide TFTC

15-Sep-11
This was sort of on the way home. Thought I would see what itbwas all about. Got to GZ. Found the key without any trouble. Couldn't find the lock or the cache. Will have to try again.

11-Sep-11
Found "key" quickly. Searched for ages but no cache for me.

09-Sep-11
I found the key straight away and thought I'd be smart and pace out 5 metres east... didn't quite work as expected. Looked for a good 20 minutes but wasn't able to come up with the goods. Next time.

04-Sep-11
Well done good search

Fun

02-Sep-11
Ok, finally up and running again, it now has an anti-muggle device, so the difficulty level will rise a little.

25-Aug-11
Should be up and going again within a week.

22-Jul-11
Awaiting aquisition of an appropriate fastening device to make it muggle proof.

19-Mar-11
Ever since I placed this cache someone has been tampering with the hide, and it has happened again. I will temporarily disable it until such time I can do something to try and prevent this happening.

19-Mar-11
This was way too easy, given the rating, and having read the CO's note, I really don't think the cache was in place properly. I'll explain the details in a private email. But as always, I placed the cache back exactly as I found it, which I doubt is the right way. Anyway, thanks.

I did love this one, took a few minutes to find. Brilliant work!

Cheers

FINALLY! Came with Poppy GC a while back with no luck, and then driving past with the family today I said "Right, let's do it." Looked and looked and looked, and eventually put my hands on the camo - and actually said out loud "Oh no, he wouldn't..." Bingo. Excellent hide! SL TFTC!

10-Mar-11
with wombatjo for a second round try and boy that was disappointing. micros kill me but muggles definitely ruined my frustration levels this time

10-Mar-11
visited last week for a quick look for this one without any luck. today came with htagsalong for a quick find as it was totally exposed.(talk about wrecking our frustration, i mean fun Razz) The local drunken louts must have stumbled through and caused the mess, but the actual cache was in perfect shape. SL and fixed camo, all is good for this clever little cache Cool TFTC

10-Mar-11
I don't know why someone keeps exposing this cache, but leaves the container intact! I may have to do something about changing how this cache is secured...

05-Mar-11
RS you have done it again. Another classic hide. Searched for about 10 minutes poking around in all the "likely" spots. I would love to see your garage. There must be bits of caches and hiding devices everywhere.

19-Feb-11
Loved this cache - it's clever and funny in so many ways. This could be the favourite of the day.

19-Feb-11
Agree with baktrak...favourite of the day. Great cache RS

Unexpected! No3 for the day with Baktrak & Greyscreek. TFTC.

11-Feb-11
Needed a cache find for 11/2, so after a quick fix job at Fairfield Showground headed over here. Had a reasonably good look but the hide eluded me this time around. Luckily got the other one to tick the day off anyway. Thanks Rainbow Spirit.

I looked and looked and looked, all at GZ. Then I tried something out of the ordinary. Eureka!!!! I revealed the cache. Good surprise. Love this cache. Great work and well planned. A bit of maintenance could be in order, as it appears the container has been damaged by vandals. Still safe and in place. SL. Thanks for this brilliant hide.

"IfeelU" told me about this very clever cache and how it had eluded him on a recent hunt... so off we went again ready for a great challenge. We were very disappointed to find it unassembled and the contents exposed. Such a good concept and so well built. I notice in an earlier log someone else had the same experience I hope this is the last time this happens the cache deserves much better. Well done Rainbow Spirit I shall now quest your other caches for the challenge they will no-doubt present. TFTC

Attempt to find a cache in Australia Day is great, my second attempt as I DNF before,, arrivig at GZ we (me and Oz-Scott) found the cache fully exposed!! Sad goodness me,, such a fantastic as always this camo and I really wonder why was it left like this?! Surprised I put it back as it's suppose to be ,,,,
Well done RS Big Grin

This was masterfully created RS though I can still notice a few finer details that allowed me to pick this one up quite quickly. Most of those details will be hidden with time thankfully. But yes I can see this one causing some headaches, I should keep a count of all the P.A.F's I get on it mateWink Thanks for bringing me here though I pass this point literally dozens of times on any given week so great to have some nearby caches.

Keep up the good workBig GrinBig GrinBig GrinBig Grin

This one could have peolpe looking for a while!

Luckily, we found it unassembled!?!

After a chat to the owner, he know it is back the way it should be.
