After a day on the Central Coast enjoying Pearl Beach and Patonga I decided to try for Scrabster's 2 caches in Woy Woy Bay.Made my way to the end of Taylor Street and parked the geomobile, not so sure it was a satisfactory place but I hoped I wouldn't be long.I'd read some logs and found what I thought may or may not be hints and decided a systematic search was the best way. That worked because the cache appeared in a couple of minutes from a typical hide for this kind of location.TFTC # 6291
Log is trashed. I put some new paper in but didnt have a ziplock bag on me, sorry.
Thanks for the fun cache, it was hiding under a couple rocks near a little succulent plant. We spent like a good 20 mins looking for this cache - thanks
TFTC Thank you for hiding this cache. You have shown us a new place and have helped make geocaching an enjoyable activity. Interesting area. Drive ways to fear.
Quite a quick find about half way on the curve, without any muggles to hinder my search
Sitting at home writing up the logs and why didn’t I drive down from the bus stop. I missed seeing it on my map
Found it after a short search. Log is a bit damp but I could still sign it. Thanks!
Quick park and grab, though unable to sign the log as it is extremely wet. TFTC.
Found it. Be careful of the ants. Unable to record on the log. It has been destroyed
M8 found this quickly. Not too hidden. Great find for kids. Applied a little camo but still visible.
We managed to find parking right at GZ by luck more than anything, and hopped put to begin the search. There were a lot of suspicious rocks here, each one looking like it was placed to hide something, but taking heed of the description we ignored them and searched by eye alone.
It wasn't too long before we had the cache in hand. The log book was pretty soggy but manageable.
On the way home we found a live version of the song by Roger Waters which was on of the better versions and even included part 3 which adds to the theatricality a fair bit.
Thanks for the cache!

HAD THE WRONG DATE ON ORIGANAL LOG.
Difficult to park round here. Started from one end, and methodically found it. TFTC.

Searched through all the rocks for about 45 mins and unfortunately didn’t find it
A few quick caches before starting the big walk from today at the Woy Woy road.

Made my way down these narrow streets after an evening visit nearby. A quickish find. The log was very damp and quite full but I got the pen to make some reasonable marks on the back. Thanks Scrabster.
Chose this spot for our 800th find. A bit tricky with parking as no standing zone and lots of home deliveries while we were here. TFTC, a lovely sunny day to be out enjoying the coast
Searched, high, searched low, searched mid way, started again ........ and eventually found it. Took way longer than it should have lol TFTC!
Tftc! After a little hunt we found it. Thanks for keeping us sane in lockdown
I've had my eyes on this cache recently as it has the "Rings of Saturn" wonder I need to finish off the entire set. But I could see this GZ is in an exposed location - at the end of a dead-end surrounded by houses ... argh! Give me mud and dirt and spider webs out in the forest and I'm happy to look everywhere, but this type of cache gets me anxious.
OK so I parked the car way down the road and walked up. Took me longer than it should have to find the cache, it was in one of the first places I looked, and therefore in one of the last places I looked on my second sweep of GZ. Found the cache, Yay! Moved away to sign the log, and glad I did as a car came up and did a s-l-o-w U-turn in the cul-de-sac. Pulled out my phone to you know, pretend to be lost / make a phone call / generally try to act non suspicious. Maybe I should wear a pokemon shirt and cap when I'm geocaching haha. Thankfully they drove off, not one of the immediate neighbours. Cache returned as found. Lovely views across the water from this street!
TFTC! And thanks for the souvenir

After kayaking on the bay and a walk up the hill to the dragon's stumps, we walked back down to the cars, then set off on a quick walk. There seemed to be a SPOR everywhere you looked here, but Banj checked out the right one and we had the cache.... TFTC!!

Another find after attending a nearby event. Mrs Shifter methodically worked her way along the wall while Mr Shifter used the car to shield her from view.
Squeezed our name in the full logbook.
Thanks Scrabster.

Our last find in the Woy Woy Bay area today. We took a stroll from the previous cache at the bus stop and admired the houses looking out over the bay. This area certainly has a holiday feeling about it, and the setting with the bush and the water is stunning.
The three boys had managed to find a little lizard along the road and released it here in the wall near the cache. The rest of us merely signed our names in the log and then returned everything as found.
All in all a very pleasant morning spent in these part, enjoying the company of like-minded people and bagging a few caches along the way. Now it was time to head off to a Community Celebration event cache at Lane Cove. Whew, a busy day.

Another quick and easy find at the end of the road. As a fan of a song with this name, I had to find it. TFTC
Found it easily with Koko. A bit too easy to be a level 2 difficulty. Sprung by a muggle.
TFTC Another sad face now smiling. Couldn’t believe the number of cars that turned up at the dead end street. Great hide.
A Queens Birthday weekend caching day from Sydney in the Woys. This was our first stop this morning. What a cleverly engineered hide. Must have taken a lot of work. SL TFTC Cheers... Gaztek
Took me ages but eventually I figured I might have to move some stuff around....
Actually after a few minutes looking we found the cache on the ground! Signed then found its home and returned both to where they belong . Deserves a big like thanks.
After not finding the one at the bus stop I came and see if I could find this one. Got to the end of the toad and there’s 2 people chatting, after sitting in my car for a while (looking sus sitting in a car at the end of a street) he asked if I was lost. I said no and he walked away. Now was my chance to grab it and was a quick find.
Thanks for the cache

What a beautiful spot. I’d love a house around this spot. After a quick look around we were CIH. TFTC
I've driven past the turnoff to this location many times, but this was a good excuse to drive in for a look. Despite the many possible hiding places, the caching radar must have been working as I found it straight away.
1/7/18. 3:11 PM. Cache #5573.
10th of 10 finds (& 1 DNF) today - Tascott, Koolewong, Woy Woy & Woy Woy Bay.
I'd come up empty handed at "Up the mighty Roosters!" and it was getting on to time to head for home, but I still wanted to finish on an even 10.
So, I hit Woy Woy Road on my way back to Sydney, but detoured off towards Woy Woy Bay to get this one. GZ was quiet and after a short search I soon found the little cache. Signed and replaced, then continued on my way home. TFTC.
} : )
Earned the Sphinx souvenir too!

After finding a nearby puzzle cache, we took the motorbikes a bit further down the hill to grab the two traditionals. Much easier to park than a car on these narrow roads. Didn't take to long to exhaust the likely hidey holes.
