One or more of the following has occurred:
No response from the cache owner.
No cache to find or log to sign.
It has been more than 28 days since the last owner note.
As a result I am archiving this cache to keep from continually showing up in search lists and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements.
Should you like to resurrect the cache please create a new cache listing so it can be reviewed as a new cache.

7.15. Archive or unarchive a geocache
Archiving a geocache is meant to be a permanent action. Only community volunteer reviewers and Geocaching HQ can unarchive caches. This is done only in rare circumstances and only if the cache meets the current geocaching guidelines.
If a cache is archived by a reviewer or staff for lack of maintenance, it will not be unarchived.
I am temporarily disabling it, to give the owner an opportunity to check on the cache, and take whatever action is necessary.
Please respond to this situation in a timely manner (i.e., within 28 days) to prevent the cache from being archived for non-responsiveness.
If you require more time please be sure to post a note (not an email) explaining the situation and how much more time you require.
For ongoing issues please ensure you visit the listing and post a new note every 28 days to keep everyone up to date or the cache will be treated as an abandoned cache and archived without further notice.
Had a look at this one on our way back to camp, but didn't have the confidence to get around that rock (probably the same one that stopped Astro) . Self preservation told me the chance of a fall is not worth a cache find .
Checking other logs now at home, it looks like we may have been looking in the wrong spot anyway [B)].
Thanks for the challenge The Arkaroo + Savoy Truffle. Next visit may be different .
Lots of dead wallabies nearby.

We will return.
I looked and I think I could see where this one was. So across and up I went.
A man has to know his limitations. Who said that!!??[?] I tried and figured I was close but the cache was not there. I had a good look but chickened out at the though of what might happen if I went to the next level where it might be. Doing this alone was a little crazy so a DNF it was.
Thanks to The Arkaroo and **clear skies** from TeamAstro. [^] Cache the planet!
Then came Covid-19 and caching began to take a back seat.
But with restrictions easing and socially responsible caching again possible it is time to start filling the calendars again.
Seven cachers set off in Four 4WD vehicles using satellites to search for caches in and around Arkaroola and the Gammon Ranges. [^] The Six day Arkaroola Odyssey had begun.
DAY 3: More Pinnacles
But first a visit to this waterhole. Mostly dry at the moment it was a graveyard for dozens of wallabies. The way up to the cache was obvious and the younger and less rotund of us was quickly past the protruding rock that prevented me getting to the face I wanted to be at. Observe and guide...not what I like to do. [:(!] After trying too high to start we guided back to a lower level where the cache was found. Still a spectacular spot for a cache.
***Thanks The Arkaroo for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. ***
Logs prepared and published through GSAK.
Thanks for placing a fun cache guys. We do love your work. We signed the logbook. Of course we did that is way we play this game. Cache in pretty good condition for the cache age.

Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun.
A bit of 4 whell driving, lot's of dust and for me 3 punctures. These cut my trip short by a couple of days.
We sent the youngster to get this one.

The main aim was to find the caches in and around Arkaroola and the Vulkathunna-Gammon Ranges National Park. These were mostly Traditionals, but also included a Multi and an Earthcache. There were also three older Traditional caches that had been archived a couple of years ago but were still in place.
We had some fun navigating around the various roads and 4WD tracks and walking and scrambling up and down the hills and creek lines. It certainly is a very spectacular and rugged part of the state.
The weather was pretty good with a few beautiful still, clear and sunny days although there were also a couple of very windy days.. The nights were mostly cold though, with temperatures around zero degrees on a couple of nights.
All of the cache containers and logbooks found were in good condition.
This cache was found on our third day. I had visited the site with EsromL back in 2011, a few months after the cache was published, but some persistent muggles had thwarted our attempts to search for the cache. In retrospect though, I doubt that we’d have got to it then anyway.
This time it was a group effort and we had the area to ourselves. It wasn’t long before the nimble Davidwazza located the cache and we had our names in the logbook.
Thanks The Arkaroo for the cache.
Fantastic spot that we loved exploring.
Cache discovered in a good condition.
Staggered that there were so many dead kangaroos and wallabies around the place

Looked twice now on 19/7/18 and 26/4/19, GPS had us at within 2-5 metres
I'd say it is not there and the amount of climbing we did and the time we spent.
The only place that had some water in the waterhole.
.
Cheers from The Barramundi's
Thanks for the cache and experience Arkaroo and Savoy Truffle. I like the way you make the climb not quite easy, but also not too hard.
Another beautiful location :cD although, not much water in the waterhole. We decided to explore along the creek line before returning to the given coords to attempt this cache ;c) Reading through the cache description, we narrowed our search area to a few likely locations. With ronso navigating and giving suggestions from below, red showed off his rock climbing skills. The first choice of locations, which seemed very likely, had nothing to find. The second choice was also a fail :c( But persistence payed off... and soon the cache was in hand :cD Red carefully passed the container down to ronso to sign the logbook. Luckily we had tools on hand to assist with opening a well sealed container ;c) The cache was replaced as found. TNLN. Thanks for bringing us here Arkaroo... TFTC and the adventure!!
Our tour from Sydney to Ayers Rock took roughly two weeks. We can't reproduce which cache we've visited at what time any more. That's why we logged all of them at the same days, so don't be confused about that (:

We will have 3 nights at Arkoola - the place of contrasts. No phone reception, fast broadband. No fresh milk, great lattes. Terrible roads, amazing sights.
Today we headed off to the Nooldoonooldoona waterholes with the intention of trying to find the 3 caches but not sure if our mountain goat skills were up to it. Fortunately they were - well Mr Morris' anyway. He narrowed down the likely spots before heading up and his second choice was the correct one. This is a very special spot - very similar to Winjana Gorge in WA. Without the crocodiles.
TFTC The Arkaroo
Beautiful spot anyway, even without caching a great destination to explore.
As a postscript, got back to camp and my robust, indestructible tent was mangled and flat on the ground. Yep, it was a bit windy.

sorry you could not reach the cache - however, it is a difficulty 4 - and not reaching it does not mean it needs maintenance! I understand, not everyone can walk there, but it's an easy and secure stretch for an experienced rock climber. The cahe is meant to be like this - set up by a rock climber - and no gear needed, if you feel confident. If not - please don't insist (yes, I have turned around myself many times, just before the goal, as I know my limits outdoors - that's not a shame!)
Cheers, The Arkaroo
Moderate rock climbing skills needed i'd say!
We are on a holiday touring the Flinders Ranges. After leaving Rawnsley Park Station just south of Wilpena Pound, we travelled north and then west through the Brachina Gorge and arrived at Parachina. After staying the night at the Prairie Hotel we drove north to Leigh Creek, and then east to to stay at the Arkaroola Wilderness Resort. After two days there we drove a short distance back towards Copley and stayed for two nights at the Iga Warta Aboriginal Cultural Centre. After that we drove up to Marree in order to take a flight over Lake Eyre and the suurounding district. We stayed the night at the Marree Hotel and then the next morning set off south on our return journey to Melbourne, with overnight stops at Peterborough and Ouyen. This cache was found during the trip.
Found after a death defying search. I edged my way along the rock face while Pam went through a range of emotions watching.
Probably the most dangerous cache I've done as a 5m fall onto rocks is a real possibility.
I'm 183cm and I doubt you could get this if you're much shorter.
I just hope nobody gets hurt here at some stage, a real adventure challenge cache.
Thanks The Arkaroo,

Did not find it even using spoliers.
Thanks for beautiful excursion
The climbing to the cache was easy, but why is coming down always much harder.

Bowz2 loves this country, the remoteness, harshness and beauty of it all rolled in together its quite special.
This location and waterhole is awesome and picture postcard perfect.
Add a bit of easy rock climbing makes this is a fantastic cache.
(Well easy for Bowz2 as he has done quite a bit of rock climbing)
Mags 2 wasn’t so keen to follow! (smarter perhaps?)
TFTC and bring us here!
One slip and we could have fallen. Think this would have been too dangerous for us.
We were disappointed we could not get to the cache
The cache hunt was interesting as the gps was jumping around a bit and I ended up climbing up too high and then just enjoyed myself climbing around on the rockface before finally getting down to business and finding the cache. Again I was beaten by the same early riser but enjoyed the cache anyway.

Nooldoonooldoona is the third physical cache we placed here, after Bararranna Gorge and The Pinnacles. Bollabollana will come and Welcome Mine is our Earthcache. See, there is something getting up in Arkaroola. Nice of Doug from the Station to sponsor the container, which indeed was a huge can of instant coffee. Such cans will do well here in the arid climate. Even if some moisture will get into it, it'll dry out quickly in the heat. Plastics are not good, 'cause they'll degrade and won't last long. How many cachers will we have here per year? Maybe two team events - mean, twice a group of three or cachers logging the same day? Have fun! There is a special entry for the FTF!
Savoy Truffle and I searched a bit for a good cache location. We did not want to go into this cave, as roos may house there. This here should be ecocaching, with great fun but low impact to the environment. So no needs to leave useless rubbish in the can, please. Just travel bugs and geocoins, etc, things others appreciate.
We places a little opener tool near the lid of the can. just a flat piece of steel. It has a hole, and if someone ought to pass with a thin wire or string to fix it, would help future fellows. Thanks.
Of course, the place s a divine area again. Need to come for longer soon to explore more into the valley and also to bring some rock climbing gear and friends - some of my next trips again!
The Arkaroo - who loves the mountains and the waters.
