A check on this cache did find the cache and GZ covered in ants. And with the mention of "ants" over 20 times througout the found logs, it's been decided that this is no longer a suitable GZ, and the cache will be archived. This was the second cache placed by GemJay, and we thank all those who visited The Bend In The Line.
Thanks,
GemJay.

Needs a new log, bag and...maybe location! I did my best to cover this but ant bites make me swell like a balloon and there was thousand!
Based on recent Found logs, this cache will disabled, and checked upon.

I think Nurseyjulie understated the problem here as not only was the cache (and the trackable) crawling with black ants, but there were thousands of eggs in the tree, container, and both ziplock bags. I walked back to Sooty and grabbed a can of Bushman's which we sprayed liberally. I don't kill things as a rule but the eggs were an issue and we didn't spray the living tree just the cache.
The TB was placed in a new baggy and we took it with us
Surprised this one hasn't been muggled as it's so close to the neighbours. Quick find for us today
BYO poking stick so you don't have to fend off the ants
TFTC GemJay, on a roll with my homegirl today! Clearing out the rest of this region just north of the River!

Was concerned that this one was on private property. But I think the time of day we were there was not a problem. The only problem encountered was ANTS! and lots of them. A spray of Bushmans was in order. Cleaned as many of them as we could. Replaced back into position with a few less of them. TFTC
Wow teams flyfish44 have shown hendra virates their first trackable find as we drop off one too
Found it with a trackable - the red car one, the boys were stoked, we will look after your trackable to its next location. Thanks heaps!
Another one in the night! Quick find, was quiet tonight, took the cache back to the car to sign logbook. Left car trackable

Found at 1920hrs. Was very quiet tonight. Signed the log in the car. In Brisbane for the night. Thanks Gemjay for the hunt.
Had to be extremely stealthy to retrieve this one! It's not so easy with leaf litter crunching under your feet! TFTC
Found @1320hrs with Amelda.

I saw a suspicious pile of sticks and knew what was up. In attempting to recover ants came forth in attack mode. Did what I could and fled the scene. Tftc!
Geo Wife & I were up this way dropping our Pastors off for a flight to a conference in Adelaide so we took the opportunity to grab a few more caches around the area.
This was our fifth and we were have a great few hours on a glorious day and finding everything we looked for.
We approached GZ and the location of the cache even though not visible was very obvious.
Geo Wife did the honours while I studied the long past used rail line, it was looking very old and cracked, probably a long while since it was used and probably dangerous now.
Geo Wife commented on the great hide, the cache was in good condition.
Thanks GemJay TFTC SL

The cache was a little exposed in the tree, so covered it a bit more. Definitely watch for nearby muggle neighbours. TFTC
Last for the day.
All quiet at GZ.
No trains whizzing by as I looked through the fence.
Good hide.
TNLNSL TFTC Thanks GemJay All good with this cache

While out in the area today for work training I thought I'd check if there were any caches in the area... Oh look at that, just down the road there is a perfect one.
Parked near by and managed to fin the cache in the first place I looked, luckily I wasn't too short for this one.

Fun find if you look at the photos you might see our photo.Which might show you that we had a little trouble getting out of the car.
Thanks for the cash.
Thanks for the cash.
Look at me, could have been the 100th find on this today, instead, first DNF.
I parked near this one, no issues getting here thanks to some awesome Garmin GPSr technology. I was put off by the possibility of muggles, so watched the train line bend around for a while before looking for the cache.
In summary I spent about 10 minutes poking about for this one. The co-ords had me some 6m inside the private property nearby. I searched every tree nearby, high and low. I found a very likely hidey hole but no cache there. There has been some gardening work of sorts here lately, I fear it may have gone. Then again, maybe I was too busy trying to not feel muggle eyes on me to see it. Hopefully I'll get it next time.

Definitely parked in the wrong location but managed to work my way around the bend and find the cache. It was pretty exposed so I covered it up a bit.
Damn didn't see those muggles pull up....wait wait wait...can't return it till they leave....how many photos of a bend can I take! TYFTC
Whilst making a brief trip to the area Chip and I stopped here for our first cache of this holiday. A nice quick find between rain showers.
Cheers

Used GeoKid2 to distract local muggle kids while GeoDad grabbed cache and quickly signed log.

After searching in a couple of trees I found my second Queensland cache. 6 in the morning. Gee you guys do it tough with the weather here
Picked up TB now off to jump on my cruise.

Managed to find this one for karenhippo today. We came at it from another direction than the one I took when I found it. I took the opportunity to leave a cute trackable from Europe.
looks like the resident muggles have swept up the leaf litter. Crunch crunch crunch and the cache was in hand.
Are you sure trains still come around the bend? Anyway it was quiet here today, even the neighbors seemed to be away. A quick find just out of the car.
Thanks, Robmc.
Thanks, Robmc.
It took us a while to drive across the line from our last cache find. Once there in the quiet court we were able to jump out for a quick find.
Thanks

# 808. Thankfully this one didn't take too long due to the hint. We were out on a busy day's caching, having just arrived from Melbourne this morning. A quick signing and we were on our way again. TFTC.
"Infrequently used" is an understatement
This line hasn't seen a train in at least 10 years I reckon.
On a spectacularly sunny Brisbane day I rode past the bend on the pushbike
With the neighbours not at home, this was an easy find

Back today after being muggled out last time. Thankfully no muggles despite it being a fine Saturday morning. Quick find - in and out quickly before muggles surfaced in the house nearby.

Out and about with Net88 in the rain today.
Wasn't too sure about the navigator's skills on this one but she had us right on target . A short walk took us to GZ and it was an easy find. No-one around today. TFTC, GemJay.

Found this cache whilst out caching with IolantheK. I navigated since she can not and i was questioned a few times but i continued to lead the way and we got there without a wrong turn It was raining lightly and we ran over to GZ and looked for the cache. Within a few minutes IolantheK had spotted it. Thanks for the cache Gemjay
I was out on this beautiful sunshine filled afternoon of extravagant caching delight with none other than the awesome Ayepeacee. He had found this cache before, but we stopped in so I could find it too. It didnt take me too long to zero in on it, even though it was very well camouflaged and guarded by an hunstman that made contact with my finger, eeeekk. Logbook signed and cache returned. TFTC GemJay ^^
Did a u turn and straight back down the street. Far too many kids playing in the street to consider a search today. TFTH gemjay
My first visit to this area, most impressive, will certainly return for lunch, the hint helped in making for a quick retrieval we were thankful for that as could see at times this could be very busy. Thanks GemJay, we'll certainly return here.
Pretty sure the local muggles were not at home today. Which made me feel a little better about about loitering out the front of their property. I'm glad the cache was easy to find even though they weren't home, it feels a little odd caching so close to houses, but hey a cache is a cache!

I do not think I was sprung by the house close by but felt a little uneasy snooping so close. Find was easy. I liked the partial maccas sign leaning against the fence. TFTC.
Was sprung by muggles as I attempted to retrieve this cache. All was quiet except the dog barking. As I put the cache back muggles in the house asked what I was doing. So I explained all to them and asked them to leave the cache there for further adventure seekers. They said sure. So I hope it stays there. Thanks GemJay for the cache.
Very quiet here just as daylight was breaking. Made this the last for the morning as I needed to go get ready for work.

I parked near GZ, made sure no-one was looking through the windows of the nearby house, then searched, then moved to where the cache REALLY was, extracted the cache, brushed the ants off the cache, signed the log book, then brushed the ants of my arms, then brushed the ants off my shirt, brushed off more ants, then brushed off even more ants from my shorts. Finally got them all off, replaced the cache then back to the car.
Later on I noticed several ants crawling around the car. Those stowaways must have been hiding on my person where I couldn't see them! Oh well! I'll let the hire car company find them TFTC GemJay.

Third and final find today at 16:09.
My approach to this cache was rather slow with all the traffic (foot and vehicle) around this and neighbouring streets due to the Future Music Festival at Doomben racecourse.
The cache was located soon after I read the hint. Retrieving the cache was unpleasant due to the hide being home to ants. Nevertheless, it was soon retrieved and the logbook signed.

Relogging this under individual account, previously a member of Gaz'n'Kab account.
On a quick outing around town today, we had just enough time to grab this one
Nice and quiet in the area, however the cache has certainly become overrun with ants. We cleared it all out, however may need to be relocated.

This cache was one of the ones I grabbed while in Queensland for 40 hours. I arrived in at Queensland Airport and then grabbed a hire car for the next 40 days. I had time to do some caching in-between attending a sad family matter in Noosa. While in Queensland I had a chance to cache just the south side of Brisbane, Around Noosa and along the Sunshine Coast. I was pressed for time and chose to forgo sleep one night to maximize my time while in Queensland. The Majority of my caching was done at night and I could not believe the amount of toads in the state now. All in all I had a great time caching up here before heading back down south. TFTC
I thought this was going to be a bit difficult with two barking dogs announcing our presence. Luckily the owners were content to just shout at the dogs and left us in peace. The ants had taken over the covering but had not invaded the cache itself which was signed and duly returned as quickly as possible. TFTC
Our in-car GPS took us down the less appealing route, the one that dead-ends in the street too narrow to turn around in and populated by very noisy dogs. Happily, the owners didn't emerge to question us, leaving us to search for the cache undisturbed. The ants have moved back in, absolutely covering the bag, but not many have made it inside yet. TFTC, GemJay. =^.^=
at 11:08. We had to await the departure of some muggles (or maybe geocachers but we don't think so).
TFTC GemJay. The cache is fine.

This was a little exposed when I arrived so I hid it a little better than when I found it
A few ants but not enough to be annoying, otherwise the cache is in good condition.

Can u believe the house closest had people arrive for a party just after we found the cache! Close one.

Cache and contents in good condition.
No signs of an ants nest inside nor around the cache.
Updated trackables.
Thanks,

This was my second attempt at this one. Last time the neighbour and his dog were outside washing their car. So today I was able to grab it. Ants have made it their home and I seem to have disturbed a nest.... ouch. TFTC.
This seemed close to the nearby Runway cache but due to the railway was a several km drive. Found in the most likely spot. Just looks like rubbish which is good camo.
Signed and replaced.
Thanks!

My second go at this one. The first time was at 6.15am and I didn't attempt it because I really didn't want to get arrested on suspicion of looking dodgy. It's looks much less suspicious in the middle of the day with two other fire ant inspectors! SL. TFTC.
Tried for this one earlier today but muggles were loading a vehicle at the house next to GZ so I couldn’t make a search. Came back later in the afternoon, no-one around and an easy find. The 3 trackables listed as being in the cache aren’t in residence.

The cache was one of 107 finds during a three day visit to Brisbane from Melbourne where it was work during the day and caching during the night.
Last afternoon of grabbing a few caches before heading back to Vic. Once i'd worked out how to get to the cache, it only took a minute to find it once there. Tried to not look too sus with the neighbours so close.
Thanks Gemjay.

=) waited for police muggles to finish their little patrol of GZ, then got out for the hunt, had me looking all over the place in the dark, then i had a lightbulb moment and bingo, cache time , thanks GemJay =)
Had to take a friend and her son to the airport this morning, and today I needed a cache. This one wasn't far off the road I was taking so quickly drove in here for a cache grab. GZ was easy to spot although I doubted for a moment when I saw the height of it. But, yes, the cache was there, well hidden. It's dry inside only the outside bag is damp, so no problems there. The only problem I could see was the log appears to have been signed on different occasions by different muggles. That may answer the question of the missing trackables. There are no trackables in this cache. Thanks for the cache GemJay.

Thanks for the find. Picked this one up late while doing a bit of nearby maintenance. Took TB AND GC
Another easy suburban cache on a lovely Sunday afternon. There was a muggle coming home and i swear she made 17 visits out to the car to get stuff. Tidy little cache, I collected the trackable, and replaced the cache safely. Dead end streets are a great idea for caches, less likely to be surprised by muggles. Thanks GemJay.
Found with Bedmaker.
Nice and quiet at GZ today. We enjoyed the area admiring the lovely old homes.
