Brisk morning before the rain fell and I found myself alone out here. Explored the pa site before loading the app and found out it was at the top the whole time. Nicely hidden and tucked away but the container is broken and waters Gotten into the cache. Didn’t have anything to replace it with so I tucked it further in
Lovely start of the Queen's Birthday weekend. Visited this spot on my way to Pōkeno via Glenbrook Beach and Waiuku.
Such a place! I was able to drive almost to GZ

Took a walk up the hill and was surprised to find a table and drinking fountain!
Nice and shaded under the trees, took the long way to the cache, but once I found the rock, it was a matter of tracing around its edges until I found the cache.
Fun find, and lovely location, thanks thejaybees for the hide

Out climbing a mountain with SerhRaven and 2FlyTim. Thought we at least needing to walk up a hill. Have now reached the summit so home to put our feet up. TFTC
Driving a loop today gathering caches we need to gain the Puncak Jaya Base Camp and Summit . . . . . the first of our mountains. Neat little place here and I will be back to ride the track in the near future. Great to have found this today.. TFTC
Out today with Fencarrows and 2FLYTim gathering what we need to claim the first mountain . . . . . Thanks for bringing us here today . . . Chose the soggy approach.
I was at home, it was a gorgeous day today so I decided to head of to Pukekohe to pick up a puzzle final and do a nearby virtual cache. I was passing by this cache and thought I'd pop in to say hi. Drove my car right up near GZ, it was muddy as, and a declined to go down the other side. I walked thru the long wet grass in my new jandals, feet wet, that was rather refreshing.
No trouble finding the cache, a few people have been recently and have signed the log but not written anything on the cache page, oh well, their loss. I made sure I signed in though. Thanks thejaybees for your cache today.
Then I reversed down the hill and took some fotos of the old building.

We initially made an assumption as to where this would be hidden and soon realised we were wrong so paid more attention to the co-ordinates and found the correct spot. After that it was a quick find.
What an amazing track, we wished there had been a few riders using it so we could have watched. TFTC.

Headed out this way to find some of the new Crayola puzzle caches, claiming FTF on 5 of them before continuing further afield. Had to park outside the gates, so walked up the road. There was a father and his young son taking full advantage of the BMX track. Took a second to locate the hint item with the long grass and then it was a quick find.
Headed South with Merlot and Pazza today for a caching trip on the shortest day of the year. We drove up the hill and parked very close to GZ. We stopped to watch the mini remote cars nearby, before heading through the long wet grass to GZ. Cache was quickly located, and then we headed back down to the car to watch the remote cars again before heading off.
Pazza2, Jag50 and I headed South Auckland way to find a few caches. Not too many bmx's around today but there were a couple of remote controlled cars making use of the circuit. After watching them we headed up the hill for a quick find
Good to see places like this to encourage kids and kidults alike to get some outdoors fun. Despite the reasonable weather there were very few taking advantage of it. We did though . Tftc
Great to finallly get this!
Last time was just doing quick finds. But today had time to walk a wee hill!
Came up a tricky way...then was going in circlesl ooking in vain for a rock!
Co ords were very good and then I saw the rock and found the treasure in it's cave!
Came down easy way only a few minutes!!!!
Lol.

I pass this cache once a week when I take the kids to their swimming classes, so I had it on my list for quite a while now. Today we finally made it and found the cache easily. Good hint, nicely hidden. Found together with Greenkiwikids and signed as "Team Piraten".

On a 24hr mission to Auckland with Philip.Perry and three of my kids started caching at about 3pm getting back to accommodation at 330am then up and back on the road for a xouple of hours before heading home. We decided we had three caches we had to find this mission then the rest was all about getting our numbers up so concentrated on a high cache area. Meet Sethraven just on dusk who helped us on a cache we couldnt find before she headed home so that was great. Really enjoy caching in Auckland at night no traffic and no muggles to get in our way. We only had a few DNF caches for the day which isnt to bad. Thanks to all th CO for the caches.
Had a cheeky Auckland Mission on the cards this weekend and this was day two. It was a late one last night so today we figured we'd take it easy and try to clear Pukekohe out today before heading home. This cache was found quickly and in good condition thanks to accurate coords and a good hint. We searched the wrong rock for a while as the grass had grown so long it was hard to see any others. Cheers thejaybees, TFTC

Nice hide No muggles up here today.Up this way to get our final souvenirs for Hidden Creatures
Parked near the gate and wandered up the what was now a very muddy road. Headed off across the grass and as I was already soaked it really didn't matter any more. Fortunately the cache was quickly located. Thanks
It is almost 25 years to the day since last I was in New Zealand and for a wedding of some friends, well as it is coming up to their Silver anniversary we decided to come over and whilst here and Geocaching wasn't around last time, we can now tick off the Country and find one or two caches along the way.
This was fun, not quite where I expected it but once at GZ an easy find. Log slightly damp but servicable.
Thanks to thejaybees for setting and maintaining this cache and to all other owners for setting and maintaining theirs.
My find number 6349 to date Happy caching everyone

Easy find once we found the right rock. Spent a while hunting around the wrong one.
We parked close by and noted one other car so was wary for bike muggles but it was not far to the cache so off we went. We were going round and round but realised we needed to go up. So when to right spot presented itself we jumped in boots and all. Up to the top and there it was. Signed and returned. TFTC
2518 Climbed the hill and past the man working on the BMX track. Up at the top I searched all round the wrong stone before spotting the other. Came down the direct route.
Enough of the Pukekohe poking today !!
It was time to get out of the urban jungle and head out into the countryside !!
I was headed for Waiuku and randomly detoured down the side road to see what this cache was about.
Parking under a shady grove of trees,
I could see a rugby field.
So off I strolled towards the hill on the other side,
still wondering what lay up the top
Before the climb started I noticed the BMX track off in the distance.
But it was the MTB trails running all over the hill in front of me that had me wishing that I had a bike to ride [:o]
Being a weekday,
the area was almost deserted.
Just me and a jogger doing laps of the fields.
So up the hill I wandered,
past twisty corners and jumps.
Up top a good view and some rocks
One of the rocks has an ancient carving of a primitive bicycle wheel on it !!
Probably predating the invention of either the bicycle or the wheel [:o]
The other rock hid the well concealed cache
TFTC and a fun walk.

I found the hinted at object quickly, but missed the cache on the first pass. Second time around was the charm. Took: CacheCat Geocoin. TFTC.
Great little spot out here for work, finally dropped off a tb I have had for a while. Tftc!
After being here many times for the BMX racing, we have finally made the effort to find this cache. A nice easy for d with kiwifamilygiddens.
Trying to keep a run going...well just started, this being day 4....wow, I had the place all to myself, and it was great to sit and contemplate...my next cache find.
Thanks for bringing me here....not somewhere I would have normally visited.
TFTC.

A quick find as we headed back to Pukekohe. Left TB. Wrapped cache & TB in blue plastic bags to keep TB dry. TFTC!!!
We seemed to have the whole place to ourselves today, and enjoyed a walk across the field and up the track. Started searching in the wrong place at first, then looked around and spotted somewhere likely. What a good hiding spot!
We were pleased to see two riders arrive as we were leaving as it is a great facility.

Out and about trying to find caches before the rain sets in properly this afternoon. The gate was open just wide enough for me to drive through so I only had to walk 20m to GZ. AT GZ i pondered the options for a while before I finally spotted the hint item. Managed to miss the hide on the first pass but got it on the second. Wedged in tight. Cheers for the cache placement!
Today hoped to find enough caches to reach 3300 finds. Falling short of goal today as we were beaten by the rain, dark and the number of repairs we have done.
10.30am - Just a warning don't park in gateway, man from BMX club told me they dragged a vehicle away so they could get in. Cache found but bit of a squeeze to get. SLTFTC

Gap (of Fap and Gap) and I are a long way from home... We are pushing into Franklin District today and looking for caches to put towards some Geocaching Challenges... We also hope to reach some personal milestones too...
The day turned out to be more of a rescue mission. So many caches we visited required maintenance or total replacement. The state of some caches and the frequency in which maintenance was carried out by us was quite alarming. Luckily, we came prepared.
Gap parked in the drive... We met a motorist coming downhill as we were walking in, so Gap had to return and move the car. I carried on and discovered the pa site at the top of the hill. It probably isn't very appropriate to be tramping too heavily through here... Gap arrived and we searched a couple of spots before finding the cache. Considering the length of time since it was last found; this one was tightly wedged in. TFTC.

Walked up from the road, and started looking in the wrong place once at GZ. Widen my search area, and notice the GPS had increased in accuracy and I was now in the right place. Cache found and log signed.
Yet another interesting spot I'd never have known existed if not for geocaching. TFTC!

Thank you for placing this cache.

A nice bit of excerise walking up the hill, so I sat down to look at the cache description and found I didn't have to look too far to find it.
Found on our 24hr cache-a-tron mission from Auckland to the Waikato. Nice quick walk, cache soon in hand then off & away to find more caches!!! TFTC
25 of 164 finds in the 24hr Cache-A-Tron Waikato Cache Raid

Short pleasant walk - chance to throw out a few tweets on the way up the hill - unfortunately the long wet grass reminded us our footwear wasn't as waterproof as it should have been! (lucky for me spare socks were in the car!)
Nice easy find
