In Dunolly for the St Arnaud MEGA with my dearest friend Kato Potato and we decided that rather than head back to the MEGA, we'd take the circuitous route home to Gippsland by cleaning out Dunolly and picking and choosing on our way home. Where previously, I had adopted a British accent, here I was a total Southerner saying "Bet-laaaay" as much as possible. This time, the distraction was insufficient to stop me locating and retrieving the cache using the local apparatus. TFTC tigersden
In the area for the St Arnaud Mega event and once again privileged to be able to spend the whole weekend with Mummy Short Legs on a mum's weekend away, our scared annual Caching Adventure without the families in tow.
After spending a lovely two nights in the area we decided we needed to make sure that we honoured the local caches by finding as many as we could before setting off home today. Enjoying exploring the area and happy to find another treasure that we could look around without worrying about muggle eyes. MSL needed to make use of the surrounds to retrieve this one. Found on 13 October 2019 at 2:44:16 pm. Find #2803. Travelling back to work for another week from melbourne thought i would knock off some interestingly cool caches.
This was one. Thanks for the adventure tigersden!

Another stop to break our journey on the way to Beaufort, and add a couple of Found logs to your cache. Muggle Hubby located this one while dalerious and I were searching for something much harder to find.
It also gave me the opportunity to get a photo of another Mechanics Institute for a GA cache.
Thanks for placing it here for our enjoyment

A nice quick find with Cybergran V and her MuggleHubby @11:55am.
Almost a driveby found clean and dry in good condition with plenty of room left on the sheet to log.

Came to Dunolly to catch up with family friends and ended up staying for the week. We’ve done a number of cache’s and thanks to Tigersden for getting us to explore areas we might not have gone to. Nice drive today caching and the Mechanics institute now district hall. Easy find. Again TFTC.
Visiting Bendigo and today was out and about in the countryside. Due to the number of caches found on the day I am doing a generic log. I acknowledge all the CO's for their great effort in placing these caches in their locations. Cache found and log signed. TFTC
Having a couple of days caching in and around Bendigo as well as a couple of country drives. We certainly saw loads of lovely country side and interesting places. Sorry about the generic logs but appreciate the time and effort that all COs have given to place these caches in your areas. Happy caching to all.
Staying at Maryborough for the weekend, we ventured up north to get a few caches while the rain held off in the company of GeoBots. The cache kind of hit us in the face so to speak
Thanks for the cache tigersden.

A tour around the countryside in the car, with Geodog Penny on board to grab caches along the way so we can earn points for 'Planetary Pursuit'
Mr Tyred n Cranky seems to be on ball today finding caches as he had this one in hand by the time Mrs Tyred n Cranky, with Geodog Penny in tow, located him.

Thanks tigersden I've used your geo-caches as a tour guide around the Dunnolly area..TFTC
TFTC. We were keen to keep your finding streak going. As the rain had eased we decided a quick drive from Maryborough out to Betley was possible. pulled up on the road and walked to GZ. Quick easy find as the drizzle started again.

Out for a bit of a geocaching session after work in (somewhat) central Victoria, managed to get a dozen caches before eventually being carried away, geovehicle included, by monster mozzies. It felt like they were attaching the car like a mob of Orks.
Eventually worked my way around the structure for an easy find.

A quick and easy find as we cache our way through the area today. Good to see one of these old halls fixed up and still in use, rather than just abandoned. Thanks for bringing us here and thanks for the cache.
Day to myself, nobody to stop me from detouring from my destination. What else can I do but cache? Recent flooding didn't reach the hall, but certainly caused a mess! TFTC
I had no chance at finding this thanks to fezza42 he found it after a fair look
Spoke to a local on the way to GZ. He was involved in the rebuild of the hall.
Cache in a good state.
Thanks.

This was a welcome find with my geosister after a few tricky caches earlier in the day. Thanks Tigersden
Nice quick find by geosister today whilst on a geocaching trip to Dunolly. Thank you for the cache tigersden

In the area today with GemmaSistema and master 5 doing a few drive by caches. This was my first caching visit to this great area. It was great to see all the old gold mines and building ruins. Thanks for the cache tigersden this one was found in good order.
A random Wednesday off work saw me heading over to Maryborough and surrounds for some caching with my 5 year old geokid and we managed to convince wozzle68 to come for the day too. We decided on some park and grabs along the country roads here today as it was a little hot. Amazing to think how this would've been thriving in its day... A quick grab and we were into the next one. Many thanks
Good condition, small and not much room for swaps, good placement. Family day out.
Found with Explorer Nan. These buildings are often the hub for local community gatherings so they are more than just "old buildings" and still hold their importance today. Thank you for bringing us here Tigersden.
Our 8yo son found this one fairly quickly after a jumping GPS signal led us to GZ in a roundabout kind of way - TFTC!
Travelling around Australia with our Cat.
Staying in Dunolly we decided to head out today and explore the local area using Geocaching.
The logsheet was in a sad state here, so we added a new logsheet.
Wow so much history in this region and so many gold digging holes!
Thanks for placing your cache to assist with our touring of the area, and feeding our geoaddiction. tigersden

Nice easy find. We set up our little cooker and had lunch here amongst some truly magnificent gum trees.[(:]
Nice old hall. We think that it is still used sometimes. Walked around and around and found the little blighter. Log-book full and needs replacing. Had to sign it on a side. TFTC. Very interesting country around here and not far from town.
Leaving the area after a fabulous birthday weekend, had to collar some caches and this was one of them. Thank you for bringing us to this very historical area, easily found with Bentley TB

On the way home and of course just had to grab a few extra smilies along the way. A bit of a stretch to get this one but signed and off. Thanks tigersden
Suscoe's 23rd find of 34 for today.
The weather has improved since yesterday and while there was some cloud, the sun was often shining as we drove the road to Dunolly and beyond.
M I's were an important part of the early days, great to have this cache here.
Thanks to tigersden for placing this cache.
Time to turn the corner.

Isn't it great that so many communities keep these little halls in good enough nick to keep the traditions of 'local get togethers happening [^]
This is a very neat little community hall too
As for the cache ... well it was a nice easy find
Perhaps too easy !! [:o]
So I hid it a bit better
Not that it will make any difference to the next finder who knows it is there.
Just that it is now hidden a little bit better from the casual 'muggle' observer [^]
TFTC td !!

I am well behind on logging caches, attempting to catch up.
Apologies to CO's for not logging specifics about their cache.
We certainly appreciate all the effort cachers go to hide and maintain their caches.
