Today I headed to the YP for caching. Today I on the main part hated my hobby. It’s weird as I have been doing this hobby for almost 10 years and generally it makes me feel good to be alive. Sadly not today.
My phone was a pain in the ass not sure why but almost every find had me around 10m away from where the actual cache was. I was stuffed with the caches with no hints of which there were many.
I over heated, the flies were insane, so many caches were in or behind prickle bushes or trees with low branches, covered in scratches. I have an inordinate amount of dnfs. My list of whinging goes on and on.
I am grateful really to all the people who made the effort to hide and maintain a cache for me to find. I do appreciate it even if I don’t sound too grateful.
Anyway I got 52 for the day so have to be ‘happy’ with that!
Quick find and sign here TFTC

I left my car on the main road and walked in. There was a young lad hooning up and down the side road on a motor bike. Between being distracted by him and my phone, I forgot to look for the feature that the cache had been placed to draw attention to. The cache seems to be managing quite well without a lid.

Thanks Wackys.

Our first trip to SA, if you don't count landing at Adelaide to refuel a few years ago - we did ask to be allowed to step onto the tarmac so that we could say we had been to SA - but this is the real thing! TFTC The Wackys

No lid but cache is okay

A short stop here today, managed to find the cache nicely hidden and all is well

With 2.5 days free and nothing to do, what better than to head to the yorke peninsula for a few days. I made a plan of trying to clean up majority of the caches on the peninsula going from cache to cache. Managed to come away with only a few left and 247 finds for the few day trip.

Thanks for the cache

Just passing by and this one popped up on the map... I used to play in the mentioned feature as a kid with the then owners kids. Couldn't see it anymore though. It was there a few weeks ago, so may have been moved on.

09-Jan-20
A day off from work had me off to the north west with Purrfect Di and Jack...
A few random caches to be found along the way - this was one of the lucky ones Wink
Realistically it was a stinking hot day, with hoards of icky flies, harsh winds, and smoke filled skies from the KI bushfires Surprised
But we still had a good time hopping in and out of our air conditioned geo mobile!
The mentioned feature was not visible, but the cache was soon found.
Property seems to be for sale Surprised

Didn't actually notice the feature across the road at the time of finding Red Face, being more concerned about being out of sight of the house [8)].
TNLNSL.
So glad others have posted photo's, but seems a bit unusual to have it still sitting on a trailer [?].
Thanks to The Wackys.

Another assault by a few of the Puzzled Puzzlers targeting the Yorke and surrounding areas. With the the great weather today a number of previous DNF's were turned into smileys and many others were turned into those nice yellow found icons on the map. Thanks also to the extra pair of Starfish eyes.

A quick find under torchlight. TFTC

Found it with TICE [Hiltsu, J&T, kapeka & laalaa]

We had fun with caching few weeks here in Australia ( South Australia and Northern Territory ). Lots of geocaches and many sort of them too. We saw awesome places, weather was good all the time and people were friendly and polite. Caches were pretty similar like in our home country. Of course there were some exeptions. Nice and huge country!

Greetings from Finland!

Team ICE on a two week geocaching trip in Australia. Our main target was the Red Centre Experience at Alice Springs but of course we did some caching in other places too. We drove from Adelaide to Alice Springs and then back. We saw lots of interesting and beutiful places like opal mines at Coober Pedy, Ayers Rock and Kata Tjuta. Our rental travelled almost 6500km on gravel and tarmac roads. The weather was great, only on last day we got some rain.

All the caches logged as Team Ice, T-ice or Tice with kapeka, laalaa and Hiltsu. We had a great trip!

Today our trip continued from Port Augusta to Port Vincent. On a way we visited beautiful Weeroona Island, spend some time at Port Pirie, visited Moonta's himalayas and found many caches on the way.

Thanks for the cache and greetings from Finland!

We visit in Australia (Adelaide, Murray Bridge, Port Augusta, Whyalla, Coober Pedy, Uluru, Alice Springs, Port Vincent and other place which are on the way those places) on April 05.-20.

We see many beautiful place where we visit and enjoy every cache what we found, so humble thanks every cache owner that you hiding this cache!

We (kapeka, laalaa, J&T. and Hiltsu) use common nickname Team ICE, T-ICE or TICE that we saves space in the logbook.

Thanks For To Cache!
Greetings from Finland

02-Oct-16
Away for the long weekend for some much needed C&C&C with SnappyTomCats & GetNict
(Cache, Coffee, Cake in this case though food)
We got a nice house on North Beach Wallaroo for our base for the weekend. Great spot to watch the storm roll in over the bay. Mother nature is a weird and wonderful creature. After the storms we headed off in various directions in and around wallaroo and nearby tickera to collect some smileys, we had no plan just to cache and relax.
This cache was one of many found during our weekend. Thankyou for placing it for us to find

I do believe that this storm as wreaked some havoc on the caches in the area with a few requiring maintenance.

It is amaazing what people collect, we did not notice alll the items in the gallery images but we are sure they were there somewhere. Fantastic hobby they have.

First we must appologise for the generic logs.

We came to Yorke Peninsular with Speedmistress who hails from Queensland to cache our little hearts out and this we are doing.

We solved loads of puzzles prior to coming and with all the earth, multi, trads and puzzles there are here we were never lacking in variety.

When we found caches that needed repair we have done our best to do what was possible, unfortunately we have now rum out of spare containers, so no more repairs can be done. We have enjoyed the scenery, the walks, the animal life and the challenges that was encountered while traveling the Peninsular. Not all the caches have been attempted due to time restraints but those have been earmarked for future visits.
We also would like to thank Speedmistress for supplying our geocaching chariot.
A huge thanks to all the cache owners for placing these caches for us to enjoy.

On this occassion, I am doing a generic log. I have travelled from Queensland to meet up with Muff1 for a Geocaching extravaganza on the beautiful Yorke Peninsular.

Our goal to Cache, Cache and Cache. Each day our "finds" have been growing in number, some days more productive then others. Repairs and replacement of broken containers, new log books and adding a new plastic bag here and there have all been part of the fun we have been having.

We have also been careful to take time to appreciate the natural wonder of the areas we have visited. The variety of caches was interesting, some very clever, some the quick grab they were designed to be.

My sincere thanks to Muff1 for providing me with the opportunity to join them on this geocaching holiday.

A big thank you to all of the dedicated Cache placers who have made this possible.

Thanks The Wackys.
