So... We’re on a mission!! After our trip to Adelaide earlier this year we only had 8 LGA’s left for the LGA Polygon Challenge Cache. A couple of driving lessons for a friends daughter ticked off 2, a day trip to Wangaratta etc a couple of weeks ago ticked off another 2 and so we have 4 more left in the South West corner of Victoria. And so with our 25th (!!) wedding anniversary looming we decided to both take some Long Service Leave from work and spend a week down here in the area, staying at Port Fairy
So today’s part of that mission was to find 16 caches so that we are ready to find no 4999 in the Glenelg LGA tomorrow. You would think that would be easy in Warrnambool but we had quite a few DNF’s so today’s adventures took us about 5 hours!!!
This was the first (& only) Double Trouble we found. Contents were unfortunately saturated. We put in a new piece of paper with our log on it, but it really does need maintenance. Replaced as found

Got about one meter away from it then it decided it was the wrong way I think somebody stole it
On a day trip to Warrnambool with the youngest member of team H_3 needing some more driving hours. A nice quick find made by the said son...signed the log and replaced back in its hidey hole. TFTC Kia1
In Warrnambool with hubby and the kids for a long weekend of camping. Hubby had a bit of a headache so the kids and I headed off this morning for a few quick caches. How cool are these jumps! We would never have known about them if it weren't for caching. So cool. We enjoyed exploring them all.
We are finding these ones easy wished a lot were like these caches. We are only in town visiting our daughter for a few days and driving around doing a few caches while we have a few mins to spareTFTC
In the area for a few days, so cleaning up a few more caches that are in the area. Stopped off early to grab this one. With only a few horse muggles about, allowed for a quick find once at GZ.
Thanks Kia1 for placing & maintaining the cache for us to find.

Found at 1704. Staying in the Warrnambool area for a few days, doing a bit of sight seeing and picking up some smileys as well. Easy find although It took me some time to work out what hiding spot was. TFTC.
Did not take long to find this one but made more tricky with all the long grass and thistles. Must be quite a sight watching the steeplechase race but sad that it caused injuries to the bystanders with that freak accident TFTC Kia1
We found the hide in the appropriate position quickly as we discussed the history of this incident with McLookers, who recalled it well. Luckily no lives were lost and the horse survived to win thee next year.
Thanks Kia1 for the cache.

A quick find by The Tritonz today. I remember the incident, good to place where it all happened. Thanks Kia1.
Day 9 of our geoholiday in Victoria now we are slowly making our way back to Adelaide grabbing caches along the way, A quick find as we make our way to somewhere to bunk down for the night. TFTC
Quick find here after no luck at other two double trouble cache as road works was happening, will have to wait until next time in Warrnambool. TFTC
Nice find, clue helped a lot! Fascinating history, especially for my husband who grew up in Warrnambool and whose father was a trainer. Thank you!
Couldn't find any of your caches this afternoon after a very successful morning elsewhere. You hind them too well!
We may try again when we are down next

Nelson to Warnambool.
After setting up camp at the caravan park we headed out to find some of the local caches. This was like doing a tiki tour of the town. Lots of scenic locations & interesting spots we found caches at.
Thanks for placing this cache Kia1

We had left home from Mount Gambier, SA & was on our caching adventure weekend away. We picked up our keys at Codrington Gardens in Codrington, Victoria where we will stay the night in a double decker train carriage surrounded with beautiful gardens and many animals to see including alpacas that come to your door step. We have had lunch here, been shopping, done some geocaching not far with some amazing finds, we are left so happy & just impressed with some cool ideas to take back home. It was now time for more finds to see what is around this place. This was a quick and easy find today. But disappointed there is no TB here. TFTC
Staying in Warrnambool overnight. Needed to find a few caches. I spent a while at this one that a worker came over and inquired as to my actions. I tried explaining what I was doing, luckily I had just found the cache when he came over. TFTC
Cruising the area of the Great Ocean Road Ohensler and myself found this cache.
Thanks for the cache, Spurenleserin.

Warnambool the last geostop of our little holiday out this side of VIC. We attempted a couple caches out here but no joy but this this one gave us a much needed smiley before headed back to Frankston VIC

Find no #5 on the first evening of my 3 day weekend off with Matty.D.
After a BBQ event, it was Mount Gambier bound for the two of us, for another BBQ, non caching related for the SA one but of course we had to grab caches there and back!
Appreciate you making us stop here to stretch the legs.
There was not a soul in sight. I do enjoy a muggle free search =D it was dark by this time.
Cache was in the first place I looked, I just didn't look hard enough, went away and searched elsewhere then came back to it.... Oh...
Took- Nothing.
Left- Nothing. Signed log.
Cheers & T.F.T.C =]
Safe travels and hoppy caching!
