We hunted around all the stumps in the area and down rabbit holes with no luck... possibly muggled due to recent tree planters in the area?? Nice area though, will be back
Tftc. Largest cache I've come across yet, but still had difficulty finding it! I'll blame the 'tree cover' for confusing my GPS
1st week of a 3-week summer road trip around the South Island with our kids & staying in a Naseby crib tonight. Late evening, the crew were keen to explore potential fishing spots &, after a drive around the area, chose here. The pact for the trip is a few quality cache finds each day or risk mutiny from the rest of the family, who don't share my sistema-obsession but, with them pre-occupied fishing, there was nothing to stop me wandering off for a look around
Bit spooky at dusk so didn't hang around under the trees for long, thankfully a nice quick grab, & back to join the others ... to tales of not one, but two, that got away. Yeah right! TFTC

First time I have found one of these containers. Away on the Mountain bike for a couple of hours. Great tracks. TFTC #762
Found at 12:07:00 p.m. on 19/10/2013.
Out and about on the bike - grabbed this one in passing.

Although a bit grey and drizzly we still enjoyed this walk, picking up several caches late this afternoon. Thanks ernienz.
I managed to walk right past the relatively exposed cache until called to a halt by Mr Winglen who was using the Mark I eyes to good effect. Covered well when we left it, thanks erninz.
A nice little wander through the trees. Sad to see the picture of the young man on the tree in car park. TFTC.
Picked up a trackable from here, though it's not recorded on the cache reference information. A travel firefighter.
This is what geocaching is all about. Appreciate the extra effort with the container. Definitely a favourite, +1 from me.
Thanks for placing this cache!

Sad to see the memorial on the tree at the first parking area. I'm guessing he drowned in the dam? Last find of ten around Naseby this afternoon. A thoroughly enjoyable set of caches- all erninz's I believe? Good, proper caches and not a bus stop in sight. TFTC.
Hey, woof... JC Cache Dawg here...
Im loading all my finds from my Alpha Males (aka GenCuster) logs, where he deigned to remember that I was with him... As if he could forget...15:30

Lovely evening drive and and nice short walk to an ammo can. Lovely +1 Cheers Gav
What a lovely area! This would be an awesome picnic spot in summer. Really enjoyed the visit, TFTC.
So much to do and see here,, we opted for treasure hunting instead
Nice big container.. it is highly recommended though that the original markings on these ones be covered or removed when repurposing them..

Tucked away in the Naseby forest, these swings, slides and other playground apparatus will surely entertain the kids while Dad does a spot of fishing.... and maybe geocaching.
What a beautiful spot to visit at any time of year. Miss 10 (and her grandparents) enjoyed the swings, slide and seesaw. The cache container was awesome, it's always a bonus to find one like this. We spent a few minutes at GZ doing the geocaching quiz for kids. Both the fluffyducks failed the question about what the G in GPS stand for! TFTC
Another Beautiful area. Loved the swings. haven't had a swing for years. Still feels the same
A stunningly beautiful Autum day, far to good to work in the garden, so we had a trip to find some of the newer caches and try to get a few photos.
Found it at 5:09 PM, Just love this type of container. Looking at the map on the Montana when we were approaching here I thought we might have to walk on water.
TFTC, erninz!

A quick easy find after a pleasant walk around the dam in the early morning, with only a sole fisherman on the opposite bank, across the dead calm water. TFTC
I LOVE THIS CACHE! This is such a gorgeous spot! I have visited it soooo many times! Love the container and love the hide!!!
Wow, what a great spot this is! The park is nice, and there are some fantastic playground facilities. Now this is a real cache, ive been waiting to find one of these! Took none of the wonderful swaps, but left a Redcliffe District scout badge. TFTC!
The GPS circled us through the trees, onto the road and up the road and back into the trees, and then we picked the right one. Wow, a proper cache! Also investigated an area with netting strung between rows of trees for some mysterious purpose. Then a walk around the lake before the rain set in.
Nice to see the large cache container.Took the Nissan 270z for a spin. TFTC - still in good condition.
Groaned when I read the logs at GZ and read about the changed coords - then looked up and spotted the probably cache site straight away. Nice area
Had to follow the GPS and the compass for this one. The hint had me convinced that it was a man-made object that I was looking for
Took a few minutes to hunt down, great selection of goodies in there.
Thanks Bitsprayer.
Thanks Bitsprayer.
Got to GZ and the coords were obviously wrong so had a reccy in the general location where I thought it could be but too large and area and a gazillion hint objects. No cell reception to check but got enough over the hill at Flat Tyre to check the page and get the updated coords. Nice container, always appreciate one of these and it's probably been a good hundred or so since I've last seen one. Logbook has a claim for FTF nine days before the publishing date (and with the wrong coords?) so I guess I'm FTF? Anyway, nice GZ? Plenty of people fishing on my second visit and cone gatherers on the first. TFTC!
*FTF* Took a wander through the interesting forest playground on a fine day. Took a while to get the gps down to a few metres and then an extended search found the treasure chest. It was actually like a real treasure chest hidden by some very well meaning pirate. Thanks erninz for a great hunt and the bounty. TFTC
