No response from CO. While this is a great location for a cache, perhaps it's better to let this one go and free up the area for other caches?
I read some previous logs and went back to the car to get "the right tool." No luck though. It can only reach so far.
another visit today in company with Rheneas. managed to retrieve the lid only of the cache with the tools on hand. Will contemplate on how to retrieve the cache body which can be seen about 20-24 inches down the tube
Like the previous cacher, I think I spotted the cache in a likely location (I actually PAFed him for confirmation) but was unable to retrieve it. While at GZ I spent a few minutes discussing methods of retrieval with my PAF and will return again soon with appropriate tools. Beautiful area, the birds were quite vocal but the occasional truck zooming past at pace made me a little nervous.
visited GZ with a previous finder, unable to retrieve the cache. will attempt again when an appropriate tool is in hand
Found it on a sunny spring day while in the area. A nice quick find on a quiet road. TFTC
A little bit of force and the cache was in hand, thankfully with no need to venture down the trail. Liked the container!

The bellbirds were home today. I love that sound.
I parked up the road a bit and strolled down accompanied by their song. I headed to the logical spot but my first 2 attempts were fruitless and I checked a few other spots but returned and retrieved the cache on the third attempt.
Thanks for the serenade and the cache

Made my way down the thin black line again early this morning, Every tradie on the Central Coast must work in Sydney with the amount of utes and traytops heading south. First stop North Ryde to get the Geo Truck serviced and then out to South Windsor to get some work done on the tray. The sad part of my life is I can’t travel anywhere on business without first checking what caches are available in the area. So hopefully I’ll pick up a few along the way. Great cache. TFTC
Last time I went looking for this cache there was a raging river below. With the rain I decided to call off my search. This time sun was strong and from the descriptions tye hide was spotted. Took a bit of work to retrieve, but s.l and was off again for more.
Don't go down there like we did..

Logging driving hours for geoson we stopped to try for this cache. GPS took me way into the bushes but I wasn't wearing the right shoes for that so did as much searching up and down creek until we gave up. Now at home and reading logs I think we were way off and this should have been much simpler. Did look in one possible spot but too many spider webs put me off. Might try again another time - many more driving hours to go......
Quick park and grab ... had to find a tool in the car to get access as it was jammed tight.
Love the sound of the bell birds !!!

Very clever hide & snuck down to check things out between cars whizzing by. Lucky I had a pair of gumboots in the back of the car

We found the cache but then had all sorts of trouble extracting it. It should be easier for the next team though. As far as our GPSr was concerned, the coordinates were very good.
What appeared at first to be a minor back road was surprisingly busy so we had to time our grab between passing vehicles. Being in business attire, we probably looked like council environmental officers inspecting the creek. Actually, it does need a little rehabilitation .
Thanks The Traveling Smiths.

We struggled to extract the cache but got there in the end. The Bellbirds were certainly in song this early morning. SL TFTC
Nice quiet road to search beside. and there is enough distance (and fog this morning) to be able to jump onto the bushes as cars by by.
As Cookie said. Neither of the GPSrs could find a GZ, no matter where we went around and around. Eventually found the cache, reasonably dry.

0909 GAFF1 No matter what I did or where I went could I get the GPSr to find a 0 m for GZ.
Eventually found it about 6 m away from 'GZ' after looking around for 15 minutes.
Cache dry and intact. Unable to leave a Correct Site Marker.
Brought through for mileage: 3 Bros, Aust Light Houses, B 2 B ingot, I Bashed at MidWest 2007, Iconic Bridges, Just Monkeying Around Oz, Little Moo, PAP, Trackabulldog, Unit 2, cache critters Baa, Neigh Neddy, and Oink, and trackable shirt.

Strangely enough that this type of hide is becoming quite common, thus didn't take long before I had CIH. Leant on handrail and looked over the edge to spot biggest skink on the edge of the creek. Good hide, SL, TFTC
9/03/13 1:01 PM. Cache #472. Current streak: 181 days. Gee, it certainly is a popular spot for the bellbirds, hey? Found in a standard spot; had to use stealth to sign and replace. TFTC }:)
Couldn't believe how easy this was compared to the difficulty rating, had CIH in seconds. TFTC
Wouldn't budge in the heat. Eventually we retrieved it.

A quick, easy cache that I almost made harder than it needed to be. I misread the D/T ratings, reversing them in my mind somehow. I was about to head to a location that matched what I thought was the T rating, then luckily I rechecked the numbers & realised my mistake.
Looked around and spotted the hide immediately. Never seen this type of container used as a cache before, but it seems to work here.
Thanks, lots of bellbirds around today

Found this at night. Torchlight can help focus attention sometimes and I spotted something unusual from several metres away that yielded a quick find. TFTC
Absolute magic, the birds are right on que. This would have to be a very special habitat for the bellbird and I really thank you for highlighting this special natural location. SL..TFTC
Read the privious caches hint and bingo, here it is. Replaced log, it was damp. Cheers, TFTC... The birds are in fine form .
Oh please do I have to go down there?! These where my first thoughts. Checked this out dismissed it but came back to it and here it is. TFTC.
The bellbirds were calling as we drove up to GZ and it took strike-a-light no time to locate the cache for me! There were a few other little birds too and I saw a blue wren hopping in the grass by the road as we approached. Quite a good spot for a bit of nature study
Found with blossom*, lovely bird calls echoing through the bush along the creek
Found immediately and extracted by geodaughter who wasn't too impressed with the sticky dampness upon opening. Nice hide. TFTC
Thought I had it but it didn't budge, so kept looking. After five minutes I checked the same spot again and with a little tap had camo and cache in hand. TFTC

We made this 1 harder than we needed to, GPS took us straight to GZ but we over looked the most obvious spot. After a short search I soon had CIH. Geoson picked up container to open and when a spider crawled out he dropped it down near the water. A quick retrieval and cache was back in hand.
Log is now full.

Loverly sounds of Bell birds so we knew we where in the right area. A bee keep was in action but just out of sight around the corner. Got to GZ and saw something a little different. Put our hand on it and we extracted the cache. SL and replaced. TFTC
A quick find on the way home this evening. A little bit of force was required to extract the hide.
Thanks to The Traveling Smiths for the cache.

Bellbirds were in fine tune today as we walked over and plucked this cache quickly from its spot. TFTC SL
A little late for any Bellbirds around here atm. We thought we had the hide fairly quickly, but access was difficult. We eventually found an applicable tool, and the cache was soon in hand. Hopefully we left it a bit easier than we found it.
Thanks, Robmc.
Thanks, Robmc.

Heading back to camp with Robmc and Pprass after a delicious Chinese meal we just had to stop to listen for bellbirds - no luck! However the find did give us 40/40 for the day!
TNLN . . SL . . Thanks for the hunt The Traveling Smiths.

Found at 8.40pm GAFF5 in the company of Phetlern and Robmc. After a reasonably good dinner at the Hong Kong Chinese Restaurant (why were we the only ones there?) we headed off to do a few caches to get to an even number of finds for the day.
We tried that spot on arrival, but it wouldn't budge so we left it for a while. Went back after checking all sorts of spots and found a very well constructed cache.
Thanks The Traveling Smiths.

Not necessary to climb down into the bush, sneaky find but seen some like this before.
At the time of finding this cache with my geoaunt RIS768 I did not have an account. Catching up on past finds. Not sure of my caching name at the time, could be batman, messei, Samuel etc as I changed my name every time I went out caching. TFTC
Took a bit of brute strength to retrieve the cache. Another nice drive-by in a beautiful location. Bellbirds were in fine chorus! Found with "The Neighbs". TFTC )

Interesting one. I parked off the road, GG didn't really want to follow me into the little bushy part, so I started searching. After a short while I checked some logs and something gave me a clue. Retracing my steps, I checked one place and...Ahhh...there you are. Clever...SL and replaced. TFTC.

The last one I needed to find in my 5km radius from home! Most clever hide as all the glue sticks in this area have been. New log will be needed soon. TFTH SL #48
2nd visit for this cache. After a little hint from RIGBYinc walked straight up and had CIH. TFTC
Struggled for a bit with this one as we hadn't read the description. Looked in a couple of wrong places before thinking about it a bit more and making the find. Signed and replaced without getting run over.
Thanks!
Thanks!
Our last find for the trip home and a quick one. The dead of night and torchlight made this rather easy.

After exploring probably the harder possibilities first, reconsidered the terrain rating and just stood back to observe the general area for anything that just looked likely. After timing the actual grab between passing traffic, logged my 300th find cheered on by the cacophony of the birds.
Really pleasant location if you can't smell anything. The bellbirds were out in force today singing away. Calypso62 found the cache quickly and we signed the log before continuing for more caches.

Out on a caching run with Smurfyguy today. What a pleasant location this is, (except for the "aroma" in the air). We waited for a few cars to pass and soon made the grab for the cache. I have a vertical one of these so it was easily spotted. Completed the duties then journeyed on. Thanks again The Travelling Smiths. We managed to knock over most of your hides today.

Reperio at 1610. Pulled up opposite GZ, which just so happened to be 100m behind a police car. Got out of the car and walked over to GZ as the police officers looked back to see what I was up to. After making out I was look at the creek, they lost interest in what I was doing, and with that, I promptly walked over and grabbed the cache. Very nicely done.

The birds were calling and so was the cache, found quickly. Thanx for the cache
