Muggled! (and it looks like an angry muggle judging on the damage...)
I'm away for a few weeks, but will try to get up and running pre Christmas.

I should have spotted WP1 first visit, so thanks for contacting & confirming Tim+Jed. We enjoyed our short mosey around the streets today, quickly gathering the WPs. Spent some time searching at GZ, and were muggled by a smiling cacher's wife (yours?) who gave encouragement to keep looking! After some consternation and rereading log to confirm cache really had been checked recently, I finally spotted the hide. Thanks for the cache and time Tim+Jed We cache with phones so used the hints rather than chirp, but I appreciate having a new attribute conferred.
Thanks to the COs for checking that everything was hunky dory after our previous DNF. We had another go, finding the first hide straight away this time. We meandered around the area on a beautiful day, pausing for muggles at the WPs. It took us a very long time (and a hint from the CO's passing wife!) to find the final at GZ. In fact, if I hadn't had much taller B along, I definitely would not have found the cache. For those 170cm and under, a tall friend or step ladder is a good idea to bring along. Very enjoyable - thanks!
Thanks for your search and sorry you couldn't find it.
I just re did/ re walked the cache myself and can confirm that everything is ok and the changed lampost (at the start point/ Waypoint 1) hasn't impacted on doing it. All the numbers are working fine.
I wonder if you didn't find the initial packet of instructions at WP1?
I'm very happy to give you some additional help if you'd like to try it again.

Cheers
Tim

Me & Denomynator had good look around obvious at WP1, then not so obvious. FWIW number on wooden power pole has changed as it's been replaced.
This cache is now back up and running and ready for your visit.
I wanted to leave it down for a while to allow the potential mugglers (passing kids I believe) to have hopefully have lost interest in the hide. Thanks for your patience.
The 'Chirp' has also been renewed with fresh batteries, so I'd love to hear in peoples' logs if anyone is actually using this method of finding the cache or if it is just a little reminder of a garmin experiment that never really caught on.

This one has just been muggled! Sigh
I'm going to leave it for a bit then replace as I fear the muggling might continue if it goes straight back.

#3141. I have looked at this one a number of times but was not sure if my GPS had the chirp function so put off doing it. But after a fuller read of the cache page and the hints I decided I could probably give it a go. Found WP1 and WP2 easily last weekend but then the rain arrived so gave up and went home. Tonight I was back to find WP3 in a place I had spied on Streetview. At WP4 found a marker of significance but could not pick up the chirp or its instructions on my GPS even though I tried a few wireless options. So followed the hint and headed off to the GZ. Once there I quickly spotted the link with a well known book. But took a couple of minutes to grasp its significance before I located the very nicely placed cache. Signed the log and did a bit of artwork to cover up a non-geocachers contribution to the lower art forms. Then replaced the cache as found. Thanks for setting up this cleverly done multi. Gets a favourite from me as its completes a challenge cache I have been working on a for a year. Cheers GSEL
Wow what a multi. Firstly, wp1 we were momentarily dumb. Wp3 made us lol. So clever. The GZ had us stumped. We wandered up n down getting soaked. Quit and went to the Pickle Jar for wedges, a beer and a think. Headed back and within few minutes cache was in hand. Tut did very embarrassing boogie in excitement for finding. Fav point coming up. Thanks
I came here this morning after a local orienteering meeting, along with younger geoteen. We worked our way around the way points but came to a halt at GZ. The (rather too) obvious hidey-hole was empty and nothing else suggested itself. Faced with escalating demands for lunch I abandoned the hunt. An hour later inspiration struck and I came back for another look. The hints had been telling me what I needed to know, but I just hadn't realised it. Success, log signed, TFTC and FP!

Our second go at this one! not sure how we missed WP1 the first time as it was right where it was supposed to be. Nice multi and walk around the area. We partially liked the final hide! All and all a well-constructed cache which deserves a fav point! TFTM and TFTC
This one has been my nemesis for quite a while, but today I finally figured it out
Had great fun in the dark with SJT_NZ on this one. Attracted some odd looks from joggers and residents putting rubbish out. No chirps but hints got us there. Thanks reslly enjoyed.
Found with TregearP. Really enjoyed this one although sadly the Chirp at WP4 wasn't picked up by my Garmin? Did quite a bit of back and forth and round about because we really wanted to see it work but to no avail. Followed the alternate instructions and soon in hand.

Loved this urban sleuthing experience, completed on a relatively quiet, damp Monday morning. Enjoyed the diversity of waypoints, and the final was beautifully hidden. TFTC
My third visit but having carefully read previous logs knew what to not focus on and eventually the penny dropped. Another inimitable cache from these guys.. I wish they would do some more..
I couldn't find the first WP when I attempted this previously, but no such problem this time around. The other waypoints were easier to find. I don't have a device with 'chirp' capabilities so I had to use the clues to take me to the final, whereupon I got muggled by neighbours while I was busy counting so I had to backtrack. A very sneaky hide and I'm glad to pick up this lonely cache. TFTC
This was a fun multi to complete while down in Wellington on a day caching, with a nice variety of things to locate at each waypoint. A great final hide location too! There were muggles just round the corner from GZ but luckily they were out of sight and I could stealthy do my signing duties without them any the wiser!
Thanks!
Thanks!
Had tried to check this out twice before. Initially couldn't find wp1. My geokids showed my where. Next time couldn't get chirp to work or spot final. Third time lucky. Had thought about it and had that lightbulb connection. Great little cache, shame we couldn't get a cheep or tweet from the gps. Good fun anyway - finally.
TFTC. When I visit Wellington I always look to see if there is a cache by Tim+Jed nearby. This multi popped up and I was off to have a go. I have to confess that yesterday I got to GZ and thought, as others have that, the jolly thing must have been missing. I have no idea why I even thought that the obvious location would have been correct - I have done enough of you caches to expect more!!
I pondered overnight and just knew I had been too hasty at GZ. So I was back today and found the cache immediately while I was thinking how silly I had been the day before.
Lovely cache and lovely multi.
A favourite vote from me.
Thanks Tim+Jed for the great fun.

This is the first cache with such a beacon that I came along. Luckily the owner offered an old fashion way as well for I only have my smart phone as a gps device. I quite enjoyed this study of suburban area after sunset and very much appreciate the large efforts you guys put into hiding and maintaining this cool multi. A favorite is the least I can give in return. Thanks again for the good time caching due to your fantastic hidings.
Try as we might we couldn't pick up the Chirp. Maybe we should have been looking out for a Tweet!
A fun cache, and very clever nifty wee hide at the final.
Cache in order, log signed, all safely tucked away again!

We don't have the necessary technology on our GPSr so did this one by the usual methods. We enjoyed this well put together multi very much. Had to duck and dive a bit with muggles seemingly arriving or leaving home at each of the waypoints but other than that all was straightforward. GZ was very clever. TFTC
After my DNF a few weeks ago, I returned today with Netty to show her what this cache was all about. It was her first experience of CHIRP technology. At Ground Zero, I was pretty confident what I need to do. I wasn't quite right but I still found the cache quickly. Great work, Tim+Jed.
I had a lot of fun on this quest. I was lucky to get away from WP1 just as a large number of cars arrived; a local must have organised a gathering at their place. At WP4, I learnt I needed to stay still for a few seconds for the chirp to work. This was only my second cache of this nature and it's a neat sense of accomplishment to have your GPSr confirm you have done everything right up to then.
However, I arrived at GZ to find the "obvious" spot empty and walked away empty handed. I have since read the earlier logs and discovered others have had similar experiences. I should have known these cache owners would not have made this a straightforward and traditional type of hide. I think I know what I have to do now. However, I think I will leave it for a little while and look for an opportunity to share the experience with someone else.

The notification that this cache had been reactivated came through this morning, and instantly determined what my caching activity this afternoon would be. An excellent example of a well thought out multi cache. Builders still around but far enough away I hope that I wasn't obvious. I am claiming this as a lonely cache for the relevant challenge, although it had been disabled for part of the intervening period. Deserves a FP for cleverness of concept, use of available terrain, and final hide. TFTC.

The majority of building work has been completed, and the cache environment has been retained sufficiently for the cache to be reinstalled in its hiding place and the listing enabled again. The chirp has also been tested and is sending its information so please feel free to visit once more. Thanks for everyone's patience with this one.
Right- I've done some more digging and the building work is looking a bit bigger than initially planned, so realistically the cache might be out until October. Hopefully this is ok, but let us know if not.
Dragged out again by Broadbridges, we decided to drop in here, as I hadn't done it before.
I had moment at WP3, but finally spotted the sucker.
Then at the final, I'm pretty sure Broadbridges was rather disappointed when I picked up the cache at the second spot I looked.
Nice cache.

Chirp-less search for this, but nice little stroll around the area. Loved the devilishly clever hide; Saturnv5 and I almost gave up on this one before I spotted something. TFTC!
Had to have two goes at this one - the first time to find all the waypoints, but then I couldn't find the cache at GZ. Then I left and thought about it - aha - back today and straight to the cache. Nice multi, and a good hide at the end is worth a favourite point from us. TFTC !
The description says this should only take about 15 minutes and I'd say that's right. But it served a double purpose for us, providing a reward during lunch times in study days at the university. So after 4 separate visits to collect each waypoint we can say we have finally finished this cache Thoroughly enjoyed the little extra touches and the great camo. Our gps doesn't do chirps so we used the alternate clues for the final. A favourite point from us and thank you for providing fun breaks during study!
Finally - I had half done this one some time ago but got stuck at WP3. Today I tumbled to it and of I Chrip'ed. I actually walked the non-chirp distance and back before I received the signal, however it just confirmed were I was was before. As to where the GZ was had me stumped for a while until I spotted something missing - and there it was. A very cool multi, especially where it ends up - Its actually best done walking. TFTM +FAV
A new battery has now been installed in the chirp and it's much more powerful and sending a signal to suitable GPSs. You are welcome to return and enjoy the cache.
Finally back from overseas and can attend to some of my caches.
I'm pleased to advise that the cache is safely in its spot waiting to be found. The camo is obviously doing its job! The alternative spot that the last two hunters mentioned is awfully close, but not quite right. Check those final hints again.
We also checked the chirp and it is still sending out a signal, but we did have to wait stationary in the right spot for a few seconds for it to actually connect with out GPSmap 65s. The chirp may need a battery change which we will do this week.

Solved all the waypoints along the way and got to GZ but we are pretty confident this cache has been muggled. All the hints fitted, the little spot where the cache should be was obvious, but no cache. Gave up after 15 mins of searching. Also couldn't locate the chirp at the last way point. Suggest owner check up on this one..
Great multi-cache. Very well laid out. Only problem is that there is no cache at the end. The obvious spot is empty, and no other spot nearby even comes close to matching the clues. No CHIRP signal either, and that applied to 2 different GPSs, both of which are CHIRP enabled. Will be interested in finishing this when the owners replace the cache.
Did most of this yesterday (chirpless, so used hints for that leg) but then couldn't find the final. Didn't have printout and also didn't have time to continue so came back for a second bite this morning. Still had us stumped for a long time, even though (as it turned out) we were in exactly the right place. Finally my "muggle assistant" did his magic again and achieved the find! Obviously I'm not too good at uncovering these tricky suburban hides and need more practice. An enjoyable set of puzzles, and the first time I've heard of this chirping thing... thanks!
Very nicely done indeed. I am chirpless so did this the old fashioned way. Although I am (slightly) taller than 1.60m I still had to climb to reach the cache. Clever hide. Thanks for an enjoyable multi. Saw many scenic school muggles en route. TFTC
Great final hide, and nice to actually be able to use the chirp function too. Thank.
Wondering if the problem might have been that if you have a chirp capable GPSr you still need to make sure the chirp function on your GPS is enabled (even if that was not the problem still worth bearing in mind for others- the owner does mention this on the cache page) - see your manual for details on how to do this (I have already done this cache chirplessly but have now acquired the technology so I might use this one for a test drive some time!)
PS wondering if the chirp is still there as the owner indicated they might remove it after June, though I guess if they had the page would be updated.

Unfortunately we hadn't done any research on it so weren't sure how to use it.
Had a crack but couldn't get the signal so just did it the old fashioned way. Quick find once at the final A well constructed little multi.

Back in Karori today and had another look at final, having not located it a couple of months ago. Found it this time. SL TFTC.
7371 Started this one yesterday, no problems with the chirp… but we were defeated by the awesome camo. Re-read the logs overnight and had a brainstorm… can’t believe we laid our hands on it yesterday… nicely done and most enjoyable, many thanks.
Our first successful find, and our most local.
Found it after extensive probing in the wrong place. Left a priceless green and white polished stone.

@1150 What a cleverly constructed multi combining as it does the Chirp device and so many more WPs to decipher and find. My mentor and guide, kjwx, was of invaluable assistance to me. I was slow but would have been much slower without her prodding from time to time, "think like a geocacher !!!!!!!!!!!".
Great fun thanks, Tim+Jed.

A well constructed multi, with great hides, especially the final. WP3 was tricky, because even though it was raining there was a constant flow of people going past, especially dog walkers. I was assuming it was another sort of hide, but luckily StreetWalker was on to it.
As we aren't chirp-enabled, appreciated the hints to get us to the final.

After a DNF yesterday we today visited the cache to check it and are happy to confirm that it is all in good order and still hidden away. The cache is open for business and welcomes your visit.
Nice walk on a Saturday morning, got to final but could find nothing in the most obvious place, even after refering to Hint WP4 third GZ Hint.
Easy find with juniors in the COLD. Junior #1 loved the hide. Piggy back on shoulders to place it back, made him a happy chappy. Loved it. TFTC
We checked our cache today and everything is just where it is meant to be and all in good order. Cache is open for business and welcomes your visit.
Enjoyed this – ta. Completed all the waypoints easily and found what I'm pretty sure was GZ but the pillbox wasn't there. Can you check this for me? Ta.
It was a beautiful morning which I didn't want to go to waste so decided to do this one. Found the WP's no problem and when I got to WP4 noticed my GPS doing funny things! When I realised what was happening it was on to the final. Really cool the way this one has been set up, lots of fun. Thanks for the efforts in putting it together, great to see some decent caches still being put out there.
This was tricky for our second hunt. Very clever but tricky to write notes in southerly rain! TFTC
Was a bit confused on this cache - walked around in a 20 metre radius, trying to pick up the chirp without luck. resorted to the hint and found a physical item with details for next stage, got to the next stage, did some calcs, onto WP3 and more physical until WP4 where we finally got a chirp! Final was hard, as butterfly wings were required for fluttering. Took a few moments to realise where the cache was lurking, well concealed. thanks - good to get one of the caches recently mentioned on the geopod talk!
Couldn't resist the call of another smiley as I was in Karori at lunchtime today. Nice variety in the WPs, and some obvious effort went into setting these up. Sadly my GPS is deaf to the Chirp's singing, so I had to use the alternative method. The hints to locate the final were full of meaning, and answer was located after a short search.
A fun multi.

Was in the area doing another cache and the urge of the chirp must be quite strong as it dragged my car and GPSr towards Kaori. Arrived at WP1 and after a bit of a search found it quickly and then was on our merry little way. Found the other waypoints without too much issues with my old GPS and using the old and well used method and found all the other required info to find the final. A very well constructed multi that had a great finale and was really worth doing. Thanks for the great cache and congrads on your 100th find and your first hide, definitely looking forward to your next hide. TFTC TNLNSL (2574)
Anthropology assignment completed. Difficulty with the 3rd task overcome with some helpful encouragement from the tutors but still took a little time to acquire the necessary data as did the final task which presented a little difficulty in the absence of the provided signal but was eventually achieved. My research showed that muggles are a subspecies of homo sapiens, the other smaller subspecies being "geocachers." There is some overlap in their behaviour but geocachers spend more time hunting and gathering. On the first visit in the early evening a muggle in dark clothing was seen to look into what appeared to be some kind of storage box at the entrance to his territory before settling into his nest. Subsequently at the next observation point muggles with less but brighter plumage were observed to be running, it is uncertain why this behaviour occurred as there was no sign of predators. At the conclusion of the practical assignment today a family group of muggles was seen but the apparatus had been stored away. Congratulations to Professors Tim and Jed on their 100th research project.

Cool little multi, I'm not sure if my GPS has chirp or not so decided to do the old fashioned way, misread the clues and got myself all confused between WP4 and GZ. Thought WP4 was final. Once I figured out my error had no problem finding the cache. Was expecting to see some kind of transmitter in the cache container as intrigued as to how the chirp works. Cool hide and lots of effort put into this one. SL TFTC TB the love bear visited
Not very chirpy about the necessity to upgrade to a more expensive GPS for some caches.
Not currently being in the market for one I tried to do this chirp-less.
But all went well until WP3, couldn't work the WP4 hint out af first then realised why, will contact the owner as a tweak may be needed. Having overcome that hurdle, I still had difficulty making use of it, but found what seemed to make sense for the GZ, well it did and it didn't! Wasn't comfortable searching there and had to fit my very brief and hesitant attempts in between muggles. Without the chirp I had no way of confirming that I was in the right place.

Spent last night contemplating whether to wait for my new Garmin to arrive before I attempted Wellington's first chirp cache - but I couldn't resist the smiley.
Took a few minutes longer at WP1 than was probably necessary - not helped by the fact the instruction sheet I grabbed was part of an old email, rather the actual cache details. Thanks to the young lad who appeared out of nowhere to see if I needed a hint - seconds after I'd located the first container - I kept hoping you'd show up again when I got stuck at the final, but it all worked out in the end.
Looking forward to returning this week to try WP4 with my flash, new GPSr.

3TF. Great hide. I upgraded the firmware on my 62s last night so that I could try out the chirp functionality and I was more than happy with the results. I hope that we see more caches using these in the future. TFTC
#1939. 2TF @ 22:00. Enjoyed this excellently set up multi ... and good variety at all the WPs and the final. When we got to WP2, we were approached by a couple of cachers, who turned out to be agcnz and boxhill. Good to catch up. They had in fact completed the final, and were on their way to repeat some of the WPs. As our GPSrs don't have the chirp function, we went with the alternative method to get to the final. Great hide. A joint FTF with agcnz, I caught up with him about halfway around the waypoints, and we completed the cache together
Really satisfying to stand at the required spot and watch the screen as the Chirp details download to the GPS. This evening has renewed my confidence and interest in this technology after trying to do several in the South Island over Christmas with no joy.
Nice to catch up with agcnz and also Huhugrub who we bumped into a little later on. Thanks for an extremely well set up cache. SL TFTC

Joint FTF with Boxhill at 21:40 Saw this one come up and as it's only a short walk from home I took off fairly quickly. Met up with Boxhill after he drove along the street between a couple of the waypoints, recognised me and stopped. No problems with the waypoints, and it was interesting to do my first chirp cache and make use of another of the capabilities of the GPSMAP 62s unit. It worked very well, although the first time I was out of range as I didn't turn on the chirp searching until I was almost at GZ expecting the transmitter to be located there - it was in fact close to the 4th waypoint and when I returned there everything worked as it should. Nice hide at GZ and the meaning of the universe rapidly became clear. Met up also with huhugrub team while we were chatting after finding the cache, good to catch up with all you folk again Signed log, thanks for the enjoyable cache.
