A nice quick find in a very secluded area of the park. The cherries are almost ready almost
An interesting area to explore. Enjoyed the bike trails. GPS was wild to start but sort of stabllised. A systematic search had the cache in hand. TFTC.
Hydro Hyde Park (Central Otago) was transferred from hookedNZ to user Sonya and Deane
Met back up with Rossmcg to find this one and another view of the dam. Bit of a scramble but found pretty Quickly. Tftc

Compass was crazy for a while but I evevtually found it - had to use the Hint though. TFTC.
Out and about enjoying the history of our country and discovering hidden gems.
Today I had a spare moment after dropping my granddaughter back to Roxburgh so thought I would give this one a lookie. Walking through the dripping bushes but no actual rainfall... the rocks were a bit slippery but with the correct footwear not a problem... soon had the cache in hand, leaves in hair and muddy knees but a yellow smiley

A tricky scamble , but would have been better to go anticlockwise around the big tree.
Walked over from our accommodation at the Lodge after biking from Clyde in our group of 5.

Came from below but overshoot the mark. Saw the cache sitting in the open from a distance. Completed the paperwork and returned the cache to where I believed it have been moved from - shouldn’t be too hard to find for the next cacher to come along. Tftc
#16980. I was again lagging behind due to another shoe change (back to the ones I started the day in). By the time I got to GZ Troodles had found the cache. TFTC.
Found with StreetWalkerNZ on day 5 of our extended Easter break in Central Otago. Today we are travelling south to Roxburgh, via Roxburgh village and Roxburgh East Rd, then back to Clyde again via SH8.
Didn't see the parking co-ords, but we managed to find a reasonably close by park, and soon found the nicely tucked away cache. Don't think I've been to Roxburgh Village before. TFTC.

One of 15 located today between Cromwell and Roxburgh, including the Bendigo area, on day 2 of a week-long break in the Central Otago / Southland region.
Almost at our destination of Roxburgh! A short stroll to this one and we found it after a brief search. #2398. TFTC.

We are on our summer holiday driving around the South Island with no real idea of where we will end up each day. We are often drawn to an area that has the potential to give us a few geocaching smilies and somewhere we have not spent time exploring before. In some cases we are revisiting placed that we have been before but liked so much we are going there again.
We decided we would head to Cromwell to see an old friend, so now that we have done that and the weather has improved we decided to come to have a look around this area.
The cache took a while to find as we ended up walking in circles, but we eventually got there, we signed the log and returned it as we found it.
Thanks for placing this cache and thank you for the smiley

On a day trip from Dunedin to Cromwell we got sidetracked by the large Garage Sales day event in the area. As friends hunted out for a good bargin I hunted for the cache. We met back up at the car after our successful missions with smiles on our faces.
Day 8 Cromwell - Dunedin. Heading to our 23,000 find

Started at one end and cache was found in the first place I searched. One yappy dog chained at the kennel made a fuss but didn't faze the black cat waiting patiently at one of the rabbit holes. Unfortunately for her, all the rabbits were in the playground. Box a wee bit wet and needed a wipe out. SL the dry log and rehid. Surprised this one doesn't get as much attention like the Winty cache. TFTC
Lucky. Thought I'd have a long look but I'd stopped in the right place and it was the rock at my feet.
Took a while to find this cache with Ducksarse Dave. Not an easy rock to spot.
Yeah! So glad I found this one after a couple of dnfs started racking up. First I got scope, then some elevation and then declination by degrees. Nice hide with some alone time at the GZ to do the chores. All good. TFTC
I had quite a look around, but couldn't find anything. It looks like kids play here - may have been muggled?
Heading home after a lovely week in Clyde. Decided to go and explore Lake Roxburgh Village and get some caches along the way. Nice quick find. TFTC
Today's little travel around the area lead to this little village. It had a sort of 'sad, empty ' feeling to it..perhaps the day? The park has a barren feeling to it also. I walked up to the rocks and then had to locate the 'right' one which took me quite a bit of time as my GPS didn't want to settle. Finally i found it and could sign it and replace it and head back to the car. Thank you for the cache and another smiley face.
Maybe the effort of the hot bike ride up from Shingle Creek were starting to take effect. Be blowed if I could locate this cache. Oh well, that's me done for caching in Lake Roxburgh Village. Time now to climb back up the road and over the dam.
Nice wee walk to get this one today Nice easy to find. That's good as the last few I have tried to find were not so easy. TFTC ☺
Tftc - short stroll and easy find
On a trip home after lots a traveling and fun over the Christmas break

Parked behind the guy having a snooze in the car in the shade and wandered over for a quick find. TFTC #7608
Another cache on my April Central Otago caching trip with my grandparents, where I went from Dunedin through to Queenstown. The hint wasn't the most helpful, but it worked. Took a while to find. TFTC
Found at 2:16:00 p.m. on 13/02/2015.
Enjoying a nice stroll around the village - easily found.

Just passing through and short on Time but didn't find it today. Will have to wait til Next Time i pass through
Had some concerns about finding this one as we found a number of empty spray paint cans within a few metres of GZ suggesting this area is used by the local youth. Happy to report we found it safely tucked away. Found with Aoraki Sheep.
Thought this one might have taken a while but found quickly. Found with debsnz
Heading home from walking the Routeburn, very hot day but not to hot to stop caching. #799
